The aim of this study is to investigate the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of the Postpartum Bonding Questionnaire (PBQ). This methodological study was conducted with 250 women who presented to three family health centers in Istanbul/Turkey between April and June 2022 and met the sampling criteria. Validity analysis was performed using the content validity index, exploratory factor analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis. Pearson product-moment correlation and Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficients were used for reliability analysis. To evaluate invariance of the instrument over time, test-retest measurements were conducted at least two weeks apart and showed no difference in mean scores (p >.05). Adjusted goodness-of-fit index >0.97 and comparative fit index >0.98 confirmed the construct validity of the Turkish PBQ. Each item had a content validity index of 96%. Corrected item-total score correlations ranged from 0.50 to 0.93. The Cronbach Alpha was found to be 0.96, indicating high internal consistency. The results of this study show that the Turkish version of the PBQ is valid and reliable. It can be used as a measurement tool to determine the degree of maternal bonding in the postpartum period. • Early recognition of bonding difficulties is important for the protection and improvement of maternal and infant mental health. • The postpartum bonding scale has valid and reliable scale for identifying early bonding problems between mother and infant. • This culturally adapted scale can be used by health professionals to assess mother-infant bonding in research and clinical practice. We have developed an efficient, self-powered, non-enzymatic photoelectrochemical (PEC) glucose sensor operating in the visible spectrum. The sensor is based on electrochemically reduced graphene oxide (ERGO) and zinc oxide (ZnO) nanowalls (NWs) decorated with cadmium sulfide (CdS) quantum dots (QDs). We used a one-pot electrochemical process to grow vertically aligned ZnONWs on ERGO, followed by using the sequential ionic layer adsorption and reaction (SILAR) technique to decorate the ZnONWs with CdS QDs. The resulting ERGO/ZnONWs/CdS photoelectrode exhibits a three-dimensional hierarchical morphology, providing a large surface area for enhanced surface-substrate interactions and increased optical path length, leading to high absorptivity at visible light. Under one solar light illumination without a bias voltage, the electrode generated a significantly higher photocurrent density (1150 µAcm-2) in the presence of glucose (15.00 mM) than in the absence of glucose (150 µAcm-2). As a PEC glucose sensor, the ERGO/ZnONWs/CdS photoelectrode demonstrated two linear correlations in the glucose concentration range of 0.01–1.00 mM and 1.00–15.00 mM. The sensor has 430.06 and 25.75 µA cm-2mM-1 sensitivities and a low detection limit (1.1 µM). This novel visible light-mediated self-powered electrochemical sensing platform is cost-effective, reproducible, and stable for non-enzymatic glucose detection. This study investigates the electrochemical synthesis and electrochemical modification of a TiO 2 /Electrochemically reduced graphene oxide (ERGO) photoelectrode to improve its photoelectrochemical efficiency for hydrogen production. TiO 2 /ERGO nanocomposites were co-electrodeposited on fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) substrate. After electrochemical modification of TiO 2 /ERGO in MgCl 2 solution, structural and morphological characterizations revealed that Mg(OH) 2 nanoplates formed on the surface, and Mg2+ was doped into the TiO 2 /ERGO nanocomposite, leading to a formation of Ti3+ defects. Optical characterization revealed a redshift in band gap energy and enhanced absorbance due to Ti3+ defects and Mg(OH) 2 nanoplates. The Mg(OH) 2 /TiO 2 /ERGO electrode exhibited a tenfold increase in photocurrent densities, reaching 1.20 mA cm−2. The hydrogen production rate reached 24.16 µmol cm−2 h −1 without applying external potential and 26.02 µmol cm−2 h −1 at an applied potential of 1.0 V. Stability tests showed promising long-term performance, making Mg(OH) 2 /TiO 2 /ERGO a potential candidate for photoelectrochemical applications, particularly in H 2 generation. This study aimed at evaluating changes in scleral show following Le Fort I osteotomy with either impaction or lengthening of the mid face. Patients who underwent Le Fort I osteotomy were included. The patients were divided according to the direction of the movement: group 1 underwent maxillary advancement and impaction, while group 2 underwent maxillary advancement and lengthening. Standardized preoperative and 6-month postoperative photos were superimposed using Microsoft PowerPoint. The inferior visible scleral area was assessed with landmarks and measured separately using ImageJ software. Marked scleral surface area was determined using pixel count. A total of 36 consecutive patients were included. The mean maxillary advancement in the patients was 4.16 ± 2.14 mm. The mean impaction in group 1 (n= 21) was 1.06 ± 1.49 mm, while the mean vertical lengthening in group 2 (n = 15) was 1.54 ± 1.65 mm. The difference in improvement in the inferior scleral show between the groups was not statistically significant. Preoperative (180 ± 118.2 mm) and postoperative (147.75 ± 92.2 mm) scleral show significantly improved (p = 0.012) in both groups. Scleral show can be overlooked for movements under 6 mm while planning for maxillary orthognathic movement, as it improves regardless of the desired movement. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
