Lodderomyces elongisporus is a rare cause of invasive fungal infections. Most phenotypic tests that are routinely used for identification of yeasts fail to identify this organism. However, chromogenic media for yeasts, MALDI-TOF MS and DNA sequencing can be used for correct identification. Drought and high temperature stress affect chickpea growth and productivity. Often these stresses occur simultaneously in the field and lead to a wide range of molecular and metabolic adaptations. Two chickpea varieties; GPF2 (heat sensitive) and PDG4 variety (heat tolerant) were exposed to 35 °C for 24 h individually and along with drought stress. Five heat responsive signalling genes and 11 structural genes were analyzed using qPCR along with untargeted metabolites analysis using GC MS. Expression of antioxidant genes (CaSOD and CaGPX, CaAPX and CaCAT), transcription factors (CaHSFB2, CaHSFB2A, CaHSFB2B, CaHSP17.5 and CaHSP22.7) and signalling genes (CaCAM, CaGAD, and CaMAPK) were upregulated in GPF2 as compared to PDG4 variety. Principal component analysis (PCA), partial least-square discriminant analysis (PLS-DA), and heat map analysis were applied to the metabolomics data to identify the differential response of metabolites in two chickpea varieties. GC-MS analysis identified 107 and 83 metabolites in PDG4 and GPF2 varieties respectively. PDG4 variety accumulated more sugars, amino acids, sugar alcohols, TCA cycle intermediates which provided heat resistance. Additionally, the differential metabolic pathways involved in heat tolerance were alanine, aspartate, and glutamate metabolism, pantothenate CoA biosynthesis, fructose and mannose metabolism and pentose phosphate pathway in PDG4 variety. There was less accumulation of metabolites in the primed plants of both varieties as compared to the non-primed plants indicating less damage due to heat stress. In this work, ternary metal oxide composite CuO/Fe 2 O 3 /ZnO was synthesized through sol-gel method and further modified with β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) to form a novel and effective β-CD-CuO/Fe 2 O 3 /ZnO catalyst for the organic pollutants adsorption and degradation. Both catalysts were characterized by P-XRD, SEM, EDX, DRS, PL, DTA/TGA and FT-IR. The adsorption and photocatalytic activity of the above synthesized catalyst were carried out at neutral pH and 1 g/L catalysts dosage for the different types of water pollutants. β-CD-CuO/Fe 2 O 3 /ZnO achieved degradation efficiency as 89.3% in 160 min (RhB), 93.2% in 160 min (Gunner 500), 84.1% in 200 min (Cefixime), and 81.5% in 180 min (p -NP). It was also observed that presence of β-CD enhanced the adsorption/degradation efficiency. Kinetics results followed to the pseudo first order (PSO) with the k 1 values as 10.40 × 10−3min−1, 0.17 × 10−3min−1, 4.94 × 10−3min−1 and 1.83 × 10−3min−1 for RhB, Gunner 500, Cefixime and p -NP respectively. Photocatalytic degradation of dyes using metal oxides and their composite has become a smart process for detoxification of pollutants from wastewater system. The coupling of metal oxides increases the efficiency due to its broad light absorption, fast dynamic process and natural p-n characteristics. Sol-gel method was selected to prepare the binary nanocomposite Copper Oxide/Zinc Oxide (CuO/ZnO) & its ternary nanocomposite with beta cyclodextrin (β-CD), β-CD-CuO/ZnO. The synthesized materials were characterized using PXRD, FT-IR, TEM, TGA-DTA and Uv–Visible spectroscopy. For both the materials photocatalytic performance was studied for of model textile dyes pollutants degradation, malachite green (MG) and methylene blue (MB). The efficiency of the prepared catalysts and degradation mechanism are discussed. The involvement of various active species in degradation process is confirmed by applying suitable scavengers. Further the limitation of electron hole recombination was improved by β-CD addition. The photocatalytic activity of β-CD-CuO/ZnO was observed superior to CuO/ZnO catalyst. The degradation efficiency was observed up to 89.15 and 79.90% for MB and MG dyes after 180 min of irradiation using β-CD-CuO/ZnO. In addition to that, β-CD-CuO/ZnO has good adsorption tendency because of its hydrophilic exterior and hydrophobic interior cavity due to which they can encapsulate pollutant molecules in cavity. Abstract: Compound odontoma is stated to be a hamartomatous lesion rather than a true odontogenic tumour. It has an unknown etiology and often suspected when there are retained deciduous teeth in children. Early detection and surgical enucleation of the tumour is recommended to prevent impaction of unerupted teeth. In this index case, multiple denticles or rudimentary teeth, numbering 37 were enucleated from the maxillary anterior region of a 17-year old male, which makes this case unusual. Evidence of concrescence, fusion and dilaceration were observed in the denticles enucleated, the size of which varied from 4mm to 12.5mm. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

The current manuscript is devoted to scrutinize the effects of fractional parameter, micropolarity and diffusion on the interactions caused by a ramp type mechanical shock in a generalized thermo-viscoelastic solid half-space. The medium is assumed to be unstrained and unstressed initially and has uniform temperature. The problem has been modeled by employing the fractional generalization of the Lord–Shulman theory to carry the investigation. The governing equations in xz -plane are handled with an analytical–numerical technique based on Laplace–Fourier transforms. Expressions for displacement, stresses, temperature and mass concentration in the physical domain are obtained using a numerical inversion technique. The problem is illustrated by computing the numerical values of the field variables for a magnesium crystal like material. Comparisons of the physical quantities are shown in figures to study the effects of fractional parameter, micropolarity, diffusion and ramp parameter. Abstract: Carbonic anhydrase (CA) has been immobilized on chitosan beads and has been tested for its activity using p-NPA. CA immobilized chitosan beads were further tested for targeted application of carbonation reaction to convert CO2 to CaCO3. It was observed that onset time for precipitation of CaCO3 was 40s for immobilized catalyst as compared to non-catalyzed system (100s). Mechanistic and kinetic aspects have been addressed for immobilized catalyst as well as free CA using p-NPA assay. K m and V max of the immobilized CA was observed to be 2.36mM and 0.54μmoles/min/ml as compared to K m and V max of 0.87mM and 0.93μmoles/min, respectively, for free CA. Storage stability test was conducted up to 20 days and it was observed that at −20°C, the Half Life Period (HLP) of immobilized CA was 216h as compared to 192h for free CA whereas at 25°C the HLP for immobilized and free CA was observed to be 456h and 408h, respectively. Genetic differentiation and divergence among sixty indigenous and exotic collections comprising three species of isabgol was quantified for fourteen economic traits. Highly significant differences indicated existence of considerable genetic variability, as evident from the tremendous variation in shape and size of inflorescence. Considerable differences in economic traits, growth and other parameters were also noted. The germplasms could be grouped into nine clusters and enormous diversity among accessions were indicated by wide range of D 2 values (0.896–41,358.16). The cluster pattern was also confirmed by canonical analysis. Husk yield/plot was the highest contributor (37.79 %), followed by inflorescence husk yield (26.80%), whereas, peduncle length was the least contributor (2.14%) to seed yield. Five accessions each were identified to be the best in seed yield, husk yield, swelling factor and long panicle length. In the present study, we used crystal structure of mycobacterial pantothenate synthetase (PS) bound with 2-(2-(benzofuran-2-ylsulfonylcarbamoyl)-5-methoxy-1H-indol-1-yl) acetic acid inhibitor for virtual screening of antitubercular compound database to identify new scaffolds. One of the identified lead was modified synthetically to obtain thirty novel analogues. These synthesized compounds were evaluated for Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) PS inhibition study, in vitro antimycobacterial activities and cytotoxicity against RAW 264.7 cell line. Among the compounds tested, N′-(1-naphthoyl)-2-methylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine-3-carbohydrazide (5b) was found to be the most active compound with IC50 of 1.90±0.12μM against MTB PS, MIC of 4.53μM against MTB with no cytotoxicity at 50μM. The binding affinity of the most potent inhibitor 5b was further confirmed biophysically through differential scanning fluorimetry. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
