The treatment of osteochondral defects remains a huge challenge in clinic. The thermotherapy in traditional Chinese medicine is widely used in treating joint disease because the mild heat stimulation can promote the nutrient circulation. Inspired by the function of thermotherapy, we design a new thermotherapy strategy by using black bioceramic scaffolds to build local mild hyperthermal environment for treating osteochondral defects. Herein, black akermanite (B-AKT) bioceramic scaffolds with micro/nano surface structure and excellent photothermal conversion property are successfully fabricated. The temperature of scaffolds can be precisely controlled by near infrared (NIR) irradiation to construct a mild hyperthermal environment (～41°C). The micro/nanostructure on the scaffolds surface well promoted the cell adhesion and nutrition absorption by activating integrins and focal adhesion kinase (FAK). Meanwhile, the mild hyperthermal environment constructed by B-AKT scaffolds can simultaneously induce the chondrogenesis and osteogenesis both in vitro and in vivo by activating the expression of cellular heat shock proteins (HSPs) and corresponding signaling pathways. Furthermore, in rabbit osteochondral defects, mild hyperthermal environment induced by B-AKT scaffolds exhibits stimulatory effects on the integrated regeneration of cartilage and bone. Engineering a patient's own T cells to accurately identify and eliminate cancer cells has effectively cured individuals afflicted with previously incurable hematologic cancers. These findings have stimulated research into employing chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T therapy across various areas within the field of oncology. However, evidence from both clinical and preclinical investigations emphasize the broader potential of CAR T therapy, extending beyond oncology to address autoimmune disorders, persistent infections, cardiac fibrosis, age-related ailments and other conditions. Concurrently, the advent of novel technologies and platforms presents additional avenues for utilizing CAR T therapy in non-cancerous contexts. This review provides an overview of the rationale behind CAR T therapy, delineates ongoing challenges in its application to cancer treatment, summarizes recent findings in non-cancerous diseases, and engages in discourse regarding emerging technologies that bear relevance. The review delves into prospective applications of this therapeutic approach across a diverse range of scenarios. Lastly, the review underscores concerns related to precision and safety, while also outlining the envisioned trajectory for extending CAR T therapy beyond cancer treatment. Mass spectrometry (MS) based techniques are gaining popularity for metabolomics research due to their high sensitivity, wide detection range, and capability of molecular identification. Utilizing such powerful technique to explore the cellular metabolism at the single cell level not only appreciates the subtle cell-to-cell difference (i.e., cell heterogeneity), but also gains biological merits corresponding to individual cells or small cell subpopulations. In this review article, we first briefly summarize recent advances in single cell MS experimental techniques, and then emphasize on the single cell metabolomics data analysis approaches. Through implementation of statistical analysis and more advanced data analysis methods, single cell metabolomics is expected to find more potential applications in the translational and clinical fields in the future. Guided waves are widely employed in non-destructive testing, but the presence of dispersion and multiple modes poses a challenge in detecting and separating the received signals, thereby affecting the performance of testing algorithms. Traditional methods for ultrasonic wave mode separation rely on time-frequency transforms, which often require extensive post-processing or the selection of specific frequency points for mode separation. In contrast, this paper introduces a blind separation method that utilizes independent component analysis to facilitate blind single-channel Lamb wave multimode separation. The proposed method demonstrates robust performance even under high noise power levels, while effectively localizing the source energy in the time-frequency domain. Numerical and experimental tests validate the effectiveness of the proposed method, showcasing its ability to successfully separate signals from instantaneous linear mixtures. • We proposed a single-channel blind separation method for Lamb wave multimode signals that considered not only the time domain, but a combination of time domain and frequency domain. • We considered the characteristics of mode separation rather than conventional speech signals by applying a compression of the feature atoms of both time domain and the frequency domain to reduce computational complexity. • We proposed the time atoms and frequency atoms signal reconstruction on a soft threshold clustering method to improve mode overlap.
