This is performed in a perturbative expansion in the fine-structure constant and is broken down into pure QED, electroweak, and hadronic contributions. The pure QED contribution is by far the largest and has been evaluated up to and including with negligible numerical uncertainty. The electroweak contribution is suppressed by and only shows up at the level of the seventh significant digit. It has been evaluated up to two loops and is known to better than one percent. Hadronic contributions are the most difficult to calculate and are responsible for almost all of the theoretical uncertainty. The leading hadronic contribution appears at and is due to hadronic vacuum polarization, whereas at the hadronic light-by-light scattering contribution appears. Given the low characteristic scale of this observable, these contributions have to be calculated with nonperturbative methods, in particular, dispersion relations and the lattice approach to QCD. The largest part of this review is dedicated to a detailed account of recent efforts to improve the calculation of these two contributions with either a data-driven, dispersive approach, or a first-principle, lattice-QCD approach. The final result reads and is smaller than the Brookhaven measurement by 3.7. The experimental uncertainty will soon be reduced by up to a factor four by the new experiment currently running at Fermilab, and also by the future J-PARC experiment. To investigate the trends of chemical characteristics of precipitation in Taiyuan, and factors influencing their variations, a total of 350 precipitation samples were collected from April 2011 to November 2018. The principal water-soluble ions were measured by ion chromatography. PH value (4.34–8.72) was recorded and 14% of all samples were acidic, and was negatively correlated with rainfall amount. The frequency of acid rain decreased year by year, and the acidity was still dominated by SO42−. SO42−, Ca2+, NH4+ and NO3− were the most abundant ions, accounting for 85% of the total concentration, with a significantly decrease rate of 61% during 8 years due to a series of emission reduction measures. The average ratio of neutralizing potential to acidifying potential was 1.37 and experienced an evident increasing trend. This was primarily ascribed to reduced input of SO42− in precipitation. The precipitation acidity was predominantly neutralized by crustal ions Ca2+ and Mg2+. The ionic wet deposition flux was positively correlated to the rainfall amount. Based on Correlation analysis and Positive Matrix Factorization results, four pollution sources of coal combustion and vehicle mixing source (56%), dust (23%), agriculture and industry mixing source (16%) and biomass burning (5%) were identified. Back trajectory showed the air quality of Taiyuan was most significantly affected by the short-distance air mass from the southwest (40%). In order to achieve the SO2 (47%) and NOX (57%) emission reduction targets, we provided a specific energy reform plan in major cities affecting the air quality of Taiyuan before 2030.

Fundamental solution for the time-harmonic vertical vibration of a rigid circular disc embedded in a transversely isotropic and layered poroelastic half-space is developed using a semi-analytical method. First, based on the Green's function of the time-harmonic vertical circular load embedded in the layered half-space, function of the corresponding annular ring load is determined via the method of superposition. Then the disc-medium contact area is discretized into annular ring elements with unknown densities which are determined via an integral least-square approach. Finally, the dynamic vertical compliance is derived by virtue of the equilibrium between the applied load on the disc and the resultant contact stress. Based on the derived fundamental solution, selected numerical examples on the dynamic vertical compliance are presented to investigate the influence of the surface hydraulic condition, fluid saturation, embedment depth of the disc, material anisotropy, material layering, and input frequency.

Laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) has been demonstrated as a metal additive manufacturing technique that can manufacture high-performance metal components with complex shapes directly from raw powder materials. Although 18Ni-300 maraging steel has been extensively employed in this process, a significant trade-off has always existed between strength and ductility when using traditional solution and ageing heat treatments. This study addresses this problem by introducing a heat treatment combination that includes hot isostatic pressing (HIP) before the conventional ageing treatment. The experimental results demonstrated an enhancement of the relative density from 99.6% in the as-built conditions to 99.96% after HIP, although a small number of residual gas pores remained. The subsequent ageing treatment after HIP had a negligible effect on the reopening of these closed defects. Microstructure observations revealed that a fully martensitic structure can be obtained after HIP, and austenite reversion was less sensitive with the HIP + ageing treatment (HAT) compared to direct ageing treatment (DAT). Grain growth and alloying homogenisation also occurred during HIP. Massive nanoscale precipitations were formed both after DAT and HAT; quantitative analysis based on TEM observation indicated that the size of these precipitates was larger after subjecting to HAT. The room-temperature ultimate tensile strength and elongation to failure after HAT were approximately 6% and 100% higher than DAT, confirming the simultaneous enhancement of the strength and ductility after HAT. The findings of the present study offer insights into heat treatment approaches that can overcome the strength-ductility trade-off of LPBF-manufactured 18Ni-300 maraging steel, while also providing an alternative strategy for obtaining the simultaneous improvement of strength and ductility through heat treatments.

The occurrence of pellicle on the surface of paocai brine is a common undesirable phenomenon during the multi-rounds of paocai fermentation, which is mainly caused by the growth of microorganisms related to pellicle formation. But the detailed information on these microorganisms and volatile components produced by them, as well as the changes of the microorganisms during the process of paocai recovery, are still rare in the literature. Therefore, the purpose of this study was (1) to analyze the pellicle formation related microorganisms by comparing the differential microorganisms in initial brine and the brine when pellicle occurred through metagenomic sequencing technology, (2) to explore the changes of microorganisms in the fermentation system after addition Baijiu and/or salt, and (3) to further detect the VOCs in paocai samples by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The relationship between VOCs and the selected marker microorganisms was also determined. The results showed that the diversity of fungi was increased when pellicle formed, the pellicle formation related microorganisms mainly belonged to six genus, including Kazachstania, Lactobacillus, Pichia, Candida, Lachancea, and Saccharomyces. Apart from the unknown function and basic life activities of microorganisms, the metabolic activities of these pellicle formation related microorganisms were mainly carbohydrate transport and metabolism, and amino acid transport and metabolism. The growth of pellicle formation related microorganisms could be inhibited by adding Baijiu (1.5% v/v), but the addition of salt (7% salt (w/v) did not promote this inhibitory effect. Through PCA analysis, it was found that the VOCs of paocai were significantly affected by adding Baijiu and Baijiu and salt. The undesirable smell at the beginning of pellicle formation may be related to Propanoic acid, hexyl ester, 1,3-Dimethyl-1-cyclohexene, Oxime-, methoxy-phenyl- and Phenylethyl Alcohol.

A model describing NH3 selective catalytic reduction (NH3-SCR) over Cu-ZSM-5 to investigate the effects of intraphase and interphase mass transfer on standard SCR reaction is developed and further verified with the synthetic gas bench. The correlation between tortuosity and porosity has been analyzed by least squares method and applied to the sinuousoidal capillary bundle model. The effects of washcoat thicknesses, lengths, cell densities and channel widths on the standard SCR reaction are analyzed in temperature range of 150–500 °C. It is found that deNOx efficiency is affected by intraphase diffusion limitations at 200–500 °C and by interphase mass transfer limitation at intermediate (250–400 °C) and high temperatures (400–500 °C). As the temperature increases, the reaction is firstly controlled by kinetics, with the kinetics resistance decreasing and then increasing until the maximum among three processes. Furthermore, intake flow rates (GHSVs) play an important role impacting NO conversion on NH3–SCR.

Hydrocarbon(HC) emission from cold start for gasoline engine has become a big problem as the emission regulations go increasingly stringent. Zeolites are used to reduce hydrocarbon emission from gasoline engine before three-way catalysts reaching its operating temperature. In this paper, a mathematical model is fitted from hydrocarbons emission experimental data and a computational fluid dynamic(CFD) method is applied to investigate the influence on adsorption capacity of the different gasoline engine hydrocarbons catchers, and grey relational analysis is used to analyze and enhance adsorption performance of the gasoline engine hydrocarbon catchers for reducing hydrocarbons emission during the cold-start period. Driving cycle Federal Test Procedure(FTP) 75 is adopted to see the transient response of adsorbing hydrocarbon in cold start period. Results show that both hydrocarbon catcher length and its zeolite type in gasoline engine have great impact on hydrocarbon adsorption, the ranking of adsorption capacity is 25 cm > 20 cm > 15 cm, 5A > 13X. The gasoline engine hydrocarbon catcher with 25 cm length using zeolite 5A is of the best adsorption performance, and with this hydrocarbon catcher, the adsorption efficiency is 35.8% under cold start for driving cycle FTP75.
