- Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To investigate the characteristics of occurrence of adverse drug reactions(ADR) in Wuxi the Eighth People’s Hospital(hereinafter referred to as "our hospital"),so as to provide reference for clinical rational drug application. METHODS: 169 cases of ADR reports collected in our hospital in 2017 were retrospectively analyzed in terms of patients’ genders,ages, drug application, involved organs and(or) systems, clinical manifestations, etc. RESULTS: Of the 169 ADR reports, 149(88.2%) were general ADR cases; 85 cases were male, 84 cases were male; patients aged ≥60 had taken the largest proportion(79 cases, 46.7%). 71 categories of drugs were involved, mainly were antibiotics(75 cases, 44.4%); the ADR-inducing administration route was mainly intravenous drip(121 cases, 71.6%); of the clinical manifestations of ADR, damages in skin and its accessories were the most common. CONCLUSIONS: The occurrence of ADR are related to various factors,hospitals should strengthen "medical-medicine-nursing" co-operation in ADR monitoring, give full play to the role of clinical pharmacists in medication monitoring to ensure rational drug application and reduce or avoid ADR.
