Rapid and non-destructive diagnosis of plant nitrogen (N) status is crucial to optimize N management during the growth of summer maize. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of continuous wavelet analysis (CWA) in estimating the nitrogen nutrition index (NNI), to determine the most suitable wavelet analysis method, and to identify the most sensitive wavelet features across the visible to near-infrared spectrum (325-1,025 nm) for accurate NNI estimation. Field experiments were conducted across two sites (Kaifeng and Weishi) during the 2022 and 2023 growing seasons using four summer maize cultivars (XD20, ZD958, DH661, and DH605) under varying N application rates (0, 80, 160, 240, and 320 kg N ha -1 ). Canopy reflectance spectra and plant samples were collected from the V6 to V12 growth stages. The wavelet features for each spectral band were calculated across different scales using the CWA method, and their relationships with NNI, plant dry matter (PDM), and plant N concentration (PNC) were analyzed using four regression models. The results showed that NNI varied from 0.61 to 1.19 across different N treatments during the V6 to V12 stages, and the Mexican Hat wavelet was identified as the most suitable mother wavelet, achieving an R value of 0.73 for NNI assessment. The wavelet features derived from the Mexican Hat wavelet were effective in estimating NNI, PDM, and PNC under varying N treatments, with the most sensitive wavelet features identified as 745 nm at scale 7 for NNI, 819 nm at scale 5 for PDM, and 581 nm at scale 6 for PNC using linear regression models. The direct and indirect methods for NNI estimation were compared using independent field data sets. Both methods proved valid to predict NNI in summer maize, with relative root mean square errors of 10.8% for the direct method and 13.4% for the indirect method. Life support technology is one of the most critical technologies in manned submersibles, acting for the pilots of the submersible and thus directly affecting its underwater safety. This paper presents an overview of the life support technology of manned submersibles, comparing the standards proposed for it. Phytopathogens represent an ongoing threat to crop production and a significant impediment to global food security. During the infection process, these pathogens spatiotemporally deploy a large array of effectors to sabotage host defense machinery and/or manipulate cellular pathways, thereby facilitating colonization and infection. However, besides their pivotal roles in pathogenesis, certain effectors, known as avirulence (AVR) effectors, can be directly or indirectly perceived by plant resistance (R) proteins, leading to race-specific resistance. An in-depth understanding of the intricate AVR-R interactions is instrumental for genetic improvement of crops and safeguarding them from diseases. Magnaporthe oryzae ( M . oryzae ), the causative agent of rice blast disease, is an exceptionally virulent and devastating fungal pathogen that induces blast disease on over 50 monocot plant species, including economically important crops. Rice- M. oryzae pathosystem serves as a prime model for functional dissection of AVR effectors and their interactions with R proteins and other target proteins in rice due to its scientific advantages and economic importance. Significant progress has been made in elucidating the potential roles of AVR effectors in the interaction between rice and M. oryzae over the past two decades. The COVID-19 pandemic has prompted an unprecedented global effort to understand and mitigate the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. In this study, we present a comprehensive analysis of COVID-19 in Western New York (WNY), integrating individual patient-level genomic sequencing data with a spatially informed agent-based disease Susceptible-Exposed-Infectious-Recovered (SEIR) computational model. The integration of genomic and spatial data enables a multi-faceted exploration of the factors influencing the transmission patterns of COVID-19, including genetic variations in the viral genomes, population density, and movement dynamics in New York State (NYS). Our genomic analyses provide insights into the genetic heterogeneity of SARS-CoV-2 within a single lineage, at region-specific resolutions, while our population analyses provide models for SARS-CoV-2 lineage transmission. Together, our findings shed light on localized dynamics of the pandemic, revealing potential cross-county transmission networks. This interdisciplinary approach, bridging genomics and spatial modeling, contributes to a more comprehensive understanding of COVID-19 dynamics. Introduction: Earthen sites are essential cultural relic resources, and site museums are a fundamental component of China's cultural heritage protection. The mausoleum of the Qin Shi Huang Emperor is one of the largest, most peculiar, and richest imperial tombs in the world. The exhibition hall of the burial pit No. 1 of the Terra Cotta Warriors is the earliest exhibition hall built and opened to the public. However, after years of excavation and open exhibitions, the earthen site of the Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum has deteriorated to varying degrees due to changes in the modern environment. There is an urgent need to control microbial diseases and protect the earthen site., Methods: We analyzed the physical and chemical properties and bioindicators of the collected soil samples. We also established a metagenomic library and conducted a correlation analysis between microbial community composition and environmental factors. Cultivable fungi obtained from air and soil samples were identified, and allicin volatile gas fungistasis test was conducted., Result: Research has found that four different areas of the exhibition hall have different types of microbial diseases owing to their different environments. The main pathogenic fungi in earthen site may lead to potential microbial diseases that affect important cultural relics such as the Terra Cotta Warriors. Penicillium , Aspergillus and Talaromyces showed relatively specific growth in relation to environmental factors and showed a better raw growth advantage.Allicin gas had a inhibitory effect on 12 types of fungi, therefore allicin gas had a potent inhibitory effect on the growth of the most culturable fungal hyphae., Discussion: This study provides basic data for the study of microbial diversity in the exhibition hall of Pit No. 1 at the Terracotta Warriors Museum in Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum. Introduction: Limited information exists regarding the microbiome composition of yak calves of varying weights. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the microbiomes of mother-calf pairs with different weight profiles., Methods: Fecal and blood samples were collected from both lower-weight (CB) and higher-weight (HB) yak calves, along with their corresponding female yaks (CA, HA)., Results: The results revealed significantly higher levels of T-AOC (total antioxidant capacity) and GSH-Px (glutathione peroxidase) in HB animals ( p < 0.001). Sequencing yielded 652,181 and 643,369 filtered reads in female and calf yaks, respectively. Alpha diversity analysis indicated that Chao1, Faith&#95;pd, and Observed species were significantly higher in CA compared to HA ( p < 0.01). Furthermore, nine genera were notably different between HA and CA yaks, including Avispirillum, Fimenecus, CAG-1031, Odoribacter 865974, and Jeotgalicoccus A 310962. Compared to CB yaks, CA animals exhibited significant differences in one phylum and six genera, including CAG-485 ( p < 0.05), CAG-83 ( p < 0.01), Copromorpha ( p < 0.01), Phocaeicola A 858004 ( p < 0.05), and UBA2253 ( p < 0.05)., Conclusion: In summary, higher-weight yak calves demonstrated increased oxidative resistance, and weight profiles were linked to the microbiomes of both female yaks and their calves. Although aboveground biodiversity has been extensively studied, the impact of nutrient enrichment on soil microbial populations remains unclear. Soil microorganisms serve as important indicators in shaping soil nutrient cycling processes and are typically sensitive to nutrient additions. For this, we employed a factorial combination design to examine the impact of nutrient additions on the composition and function of soil bacteria in a temperate steppe. Nitrogen addition promoted the growth of copiotrophic bacteria (Proteobacteria, Firmicutes, and Bacteroidota) but inhibited the growth of oligotrophic bacteria (Acidobacteria, Chloroflexi, and Verrucomicrobiota). Phosphorus addition alleviated phosphorus deficiency, resulting in a decrease in the abundance of phoD-harboring bacteria (Actinobacteria and Proteobacteria). Significant enhancement of soil bacterial alpha diversity was observed only in treatments with added phosphorus. Changes in NO 3 -N, NH - -N, available phosphorus, and dissolved organic carbon resulting from nutrient addition may have a greater impact on microbial community structure than changes in soil pH caused by nitrogen addition. Moreover, nutrient addition may indirectly impact microbial ecological function by altering nutrient availability in the soil. Background: Psychological distress is highly prevalent and has a severe impact on the quality of life among breast cancer survivors. This type of distress is associated with cognitive failure. However, previous studies have focused solely on the total scale scores of these two concepts while ignoring the unique relationship between specific components. In the present study, we utilized network analysis to explore the relationship between psychological distress and cognitive failure in breast cancer survivors., Methods: The network analysis approach was adopted to estimate the regularized partial correlation network in a cross-sectional sample of 409 breast cancer survivors. All participants were assessed using the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale and the Cognitive Failure Questionnaire. The Gaussian Graphical Model was employed to estimate the network, centrality indices, and edge weights, providing a description of the characteristics of the network., Results: The results indicated that anxiety-stress and depression-stress were the strongest edges in the community of psychological distress. Distractibility-memory was the strongest edge in the community of cognitive failure. Distractibility and memory were the most central nodes, with the highest expected influence in the network. Depression and motor coordination acted as important bridge nodes with the highest bridge expected influence., Conclusion: Distractibility and memory in cognitive failure played important roles in activating and maintaining the relationship network. Motor coordination was identified as the crucial pathway for the impact of cognitive failure on psychological distress. Background: Tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated periodic syndrome (TRAPS) is a rare autosomal dominant disorder with a low incidence in Asia. The most frequent clinical manifestations include fever, rash, myalgia, joint pain and abdominal pain. Misdiagnosis rates are high because of the clinical and genetic variability of the disease. The pathogenesis of TRAPS is complex and yet to be fully defined. Early genetic diagnosis is the key to precise treatment., Methods: In this study, a Chinese family with suspected TRAPS were analyzed by genome-wide SNP genotyping, linkage analysis and targeted sequencing for identification of mutations in causative genes. To study the pathogenicity of the identified gene mutation, we performed a conservation analysis of the mutation site and protein structure analysis. Flow cytometry was used to detect TNFRSF1A shedding and quantitative real-time PCR were used to assess the activation of unfolded protein response (UPR) in the mutation carriers and healthy individuals., Results: A typical TRAPS family history, with a pattern of autosomal dominant inheritance, led to the identification of a rare mutation in the TNFRSF1A gene (c.G374A [p.Cys125Tyr]) with unknown significance. The patient responded well to corticosteroids, and long-term therapy with colchicine effectively reduced the inflammatory attacks. No amyloid complications occurred during the 6-year follow-up. In silico protein analysis showed that the mutation site is highly conversed and the mutation prevents the formation of intrachain disulfide bonds in the protein. Despite a normal shedding of the TNFRSF1A protein from stimulated monocytes in the TRAPS patients with p.C125Y mutation, the expression of CHOP and the splicing of XBP1 was significantly higher than healthy controls, suggesting the presence of an activation UPR., Conclusion: This is the first report of a Chinese family with the rare p.C125Y mutation in TNFRSF1A . PIN-FORMED (PIN) proteins, which function as efflux transporters, play many crucial roles in the polar transportation of auxin within plants. In this study, the exogenous applications of auxin IAA and TIBA were found to significantly prolong and shorten the florescence of tree peony ( Paeonia suffruticosa Andr.) flowers. This finding suggests that auxin has some regulatory influence in petal senescence and abscission. Further analysis revealed a total of 8 PsPINs distributed across three chromosomes, which could be categorized into two classes based on phylogenetic and structural analysis. PsPIN1, PsPIN2a-b, and PsPIN4 were separated into the "long" PIN category, while PsPIN5, PsPIN6a-b, and PsPIN8 belonged to the "short" one. Additionally, the cis-regulatory elements of PsPIN promoters were associated with plant development, phytohormones, and environmental stress. These genes displayed tissue-specific expression, and phosphorylation sites were abundant throughout the protein family. Notably, PsPIN4 displayed distinct and elevated expression levels in roots, leaves, and flower organs. Expression patterns among the abscission zone (AZ) and adjacent areas during various flowering stages and IAA treatment indicate that PsPIN4 likely influences the initiation of peony petal abscission. The PsPIN4 protein was observed to be co-localized on both the plasma membrane and the cell nucleus. The ectopic expression of PsPIN4 reversed the premature flower organs abscission in the Atpin4 and significantly protracted florescence when introduced to Col Arabidopsis . Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a chronic and recurrent inflammatory disease of the gastrointestinal tract. This study aimed to determine the effect of cathelicidin-related antimicrobial peptide (Cramp) on dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced acute experimental colitis in mice and to investigate the underlying mechanisms. Acute UC was induced in C57BL/6 mice with 3% DSS for 7 days, 4 mg/kg b.w. synthetic Cramp peptide was administrated once daily starting on day 4 of the experimental period. Mice were evaluated for body weight, colon length, colon histopathology, and inflammatory cytokines in colon tissue. Using 16 s rRNA sequencing, the composition structure of gut microbiota was characterized. Metabolomic profiling of the serum was performed. The results showed that DSS treatment significantly induced intestinal damage as reflected by disease activity index, histopathological features, and colon length, while Cramp treatment significantly prevented these trends. Meanwhile, Cramp treatment decreased the levels of inflammatory cytokines in both serum and colonic tissue on DSS-induced colitis. It was also observed that DSS damaged the integrity of the intestinal epithelial barrier, whereas Cramp also played a protective role by attenuating these deteriorated effects. Furthermore, Cramp treatment reversed the oxidative stress by increasing the antioxidant enzymes of GSH-PX and decreasing the oxidant content of MDA. Notably, compared to the DSS group, Cramp treatment significantly elevated the abundance of Verrucomicrobiota at the phylum level. Furthermore, at the genus level, Parasutterella and Mucispirllum abundance was increased significantly in response to Cramp treatment, although Roseburia and Enterorhabdus reduced remarkably. Metabolic pathway analysis of serum metabolomics showed that Cramp intervention can regulate various metabolic pathways such as α-linolenic acid, taurine and hypotaurine, sphingolipid, and arachidonic acid metabolism. The study concluded that Cramp significantly ameliorated DSS-induced colonic injury, colonic inflammation, and intestinal barrier dysfunction in mice. Purpose: Anisomyopia is prevalent in myopia and studies have reported it exhibits impaired binocular function. We investigated the binocular balance across spatial frequency in adults with anisomyopia and compared it to in individuals with less differences in refractive error, and examined whether ocular characteristics can predict binocular balance in anisomyopia., Methods: Fifteen anisomyopes, 15 isomyopes and 12 emmetropes were recruited. Binocular balance was quantitatively measured at 0.5, 1, 2 and 4 c/d. The first two groups of the observers were tested with and without optical correction with contact lenses. Emmetropes were tested without optical correction., Results: Binocular balance across spatial frequency in optically corrected anisomyopes and isomyopes, as well as emmetropes were found to be similar. Their binocular balance nevertheless still got worse as a function of spatial frequency. However, before optical correction, anisomyopes but not isomyopes showed significant imbalance at higher spatial frequencies. There was a significant correlation between the dependence on spatial frequency of binocular imbalance in uncorrected anisomyopia and interocular difference in visual acuity, and between the dependence and interocular difference in spherical equivalent refraction., Conclusion: Anisomyopes had intact binocular balance following correction across spatial frequency compared to those in isomyopes and emmetropes. Their balance was weakly correlated with their refractive status after optical correction. A central goal of biology is to understand how genetic variation produces phenotypic variation, which has been described as a genotype to phenotype (G to P) map. The plant form is continuously shaped by intrinsic developmental and extrinsic environmental inputs, and therefore plant phenomes are highly multivariate and require comprehensive approaches to fully quantify. Yet a common assumption in plant phenotyping efforts is that a few pre-selected measurements can adequately describe the relevant phenome space. Our poor understanding of the genetic basis of root system architecture is at least partially a result of this incongruence. Root systems are complex 3D structures that are most often studied as 2D representations measured with relatively simple univariate traits. In prior work, we showed that persistent homology, a topological data analysis method that does not pre-suppose the salient features of the data, could expand the phenotypic trait space and identify new G to P relations from a commonly used 2D root phenotyping platform. Here we extend the work to entire 3D root system architectures of maize seedlings from a mapping population that was designed to understand the genetic basis of maize-nitrogen relations. Using a panel of 84 univariate traits, persistent homology methods developed for 3D branching, and multivariate vectors of the collective trait space, we found that each method captures distinct information about root system variation as evidenced by the majority of non-overlapping QTL, and hence that root phenotypic trait space is not easily exhausted. Introduction: Verticillium wilt is the most devastating soil-borne disease affecting Cotinus coggygria in the progress of urban landscape construction in China., Methods: To assess the variability of the rhizosphere-associated soil microbiome in response to Verticillium wilt occurrence, we investigated the microbial diversity, taxonomic composition, biomarker species, and co-occurrence network of the rhizosphere-associated soil in Verticillium wilt - affected C. coggygria using Illumina sequencing., Results: The alpha diversity indices of the rhizosphere bacteria in Verticillium wilt-affected plants showed no significant variability compared with those in healthy plants, except for a moderate increase in the Shannon and Invsimpson indices, while the fungal alpha diversity indices were significantly decreased. The abundance of certain dominant or crucial microbial taxa, such as Arthrobacter , Bacillus , Streptomyces , and Trichoderma , displayed significant variations among different soil samples. The bacterial and fungal community structures exhibited distinct variability, as evidenced by the Bray-Curtis dissimilarity matrices. Co-occurrence networks unveiled intricate interactions within the microbial community of Verticillium wilt-affected C. coggygria , with greater edge numbers and higher network density. The phenomenon was more evident in the fungal community, showing increased positive interaction, which may be associated with the aggravation of Verticillium wilt with the aid of Fusarium . The proportions of bacteria involved in membrane transport and second metabolite biosynthesis functions were significantly enriched in the diseased rhizosphere soil samples., Discussion: These findings suggested that healthy C. coggygria harbored an obviously higher abundance of beneficial microbial consortia, such as Bacillus, while Verticillium wilt-affected plants may recruit antagonistic members such as Streptomyces in response to Verticillium dahliae infection. Background: Alzheimer's disease (AD) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) are aging related diseases with high incidence. Because of the correlation of incidence rate and some possible mechanisms of comorbidity, the two diseases have been studied in combination by many researchers, and even some scholars call AD type 3 diabetes. But the relationship between the two is still controversial., Methods: This study used seed-based d mapping software to conduct a meta-analysis of the whole brain resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI) study, exploring the differences in amplitude low-frequency fluctuation (ALFF) and cerebral blood flow (CBF) between patients (AD or T2DM) and healthy controls (HCs), and searching for neuroimaging evidence that can explain the relationship between the two diseases., Results: The final study included 22 datasets of ALFF and 22 datasets of CBF. The results of T2DM group showed that ALFF increased in both cerebellum and left inferior temporal gyrus regions, but decreased in left middle occipital gyrus, right inferior occipital gyrus, and left anterior central gyrus regions. In the T2DM group, CBF increased in the right supplementary motor area, while decreased in the middle occipital gyrus and inferior parietal gyrus. The results of the AD group showed that the ALFF increased in the right cerebellum, right hippocampus, and right striatum, while decreased in the precuneus gyrus and right superior temporal gyrus. In the AD group, CBF in the anterior precuneus gyrus and inferior parietal gyrus decreased. Multimodal analysis within a disease showed that ALFF and CBF both decreased in the occipital lobe of the T2DM group and in the precuneus and parietal lobe of the AD group. In addition, there was a common decrease of CBF in the right middle occipital gyrus in both groups., Conclusion: Based on neuroimaging evidence, we believe that T2DM and AD are two diseases with their respective characteristics of central nervous activity and cerebral perfusion. Background: Life satisfaction (LS) serves as a crucial indicator of social wellbeing and plays a significant role in formulating strategies aimed at enhancing health outcomes among the hearing-disabled population. This study aimed to examine the effect of anxiety, depression, and structural social capital on life satisfaction among people with hearing disabilities in Shanghai, China., Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in Shanghai, China. As of March 2022, 337 people with hearing disabilities were recruited from the Shanghai Disabled Persons' Federation. An online survey was conducted using a four-part questionnaire to collect data including demographic characteristics, the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), the Social Capital Scale (SCS), and a single-item question to measure life satisfaction. One-sample t -tests, Pearson's correlation analysis, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis were performed., Results: Anxiety (β = - 0.153) and depression (β = - 0.242) were significant factors influencing life satisfaction among people with hearing disabilities. Structural social capital also played an influential role in life satisfaction, and people with hearing disabilities who lack social networks (β = 0.125) and social support (β = 0.121) reported significantly lower levels of life satisfaction. However, no significant relationship was found in this study between LS and other components of structural social capital, such as social participation., Conclusion: This study shows that paying attention to mental health is critical for people with hearing disabilities to achieve social wellbeing and promote LS improvement. Obesity is an important factor that threatens human health. The occurrence of many chronic diseases is related to obesity, and cognitive function decline often occurs with the onset of obesity. With the further prevalence of obesity, it is bound to lead to a wider range of cognitive dysfunction (ORCD). Therefore, it is crucial to suppress ORCD through intervention. In this regard, exercise has been shown to be effective in preventing obesity and improving cognitive function as a non-drug treatment. There is sufficient evidence that exercise has a regulatory effect on a growth factor closely related to cognitive function-insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1). IGF-1 may be an important mediator in improving ORCD through exercise. This article reviews the effects of obesity and IGF-1 on cognitive function and the regulation of exercise on IGF-1. It analyzes the mechanism by which exercise can improve ORCD by regulating IGF-1. Overall, this review provides evidence from relevant animal studies and human studies, showing that exercise plays a role in improving ORCD. Mammary glands are known for their ability to convert nutrients present in the blood into milk contents. In cows, milk synthesis and the proliferation of cow mammary epithelial cells (CMECs) are regulated by various factors, including nutrients such as amino acids and glucose, hormones, and environmental stress. Amino acids, in particular, play a crucial role in regulating cell proliferation and casein synthesis in mammalian epithelial cells, apart from being building blocks for protein synthesis. Studies have shown that environmental factors, particularly heat stress, can negatively impact milk production performance in dairy cattle. The mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1) pathway is considered the primary signaling pathway involved in regulating cell proliferation and milk protein and fat synthesis in cow mammary epithelial cells in response to amino acids and heat stress. The family Rhizobiaceae contains 19 validly described genera including the rhizobia groups, many of which are important nitrogen-fixing bacteria. Early classification of Rhizobiaceae relied heavily on the poorly resolved 16S rRNA genes and resulted in several taxonomic conflicts. Although several recent studies illustrated the taxonomic status of many members in the family Rhizobiaceae , several para- and polyphyletic genera still needed to be elucidated. The rapidly increasing number of genomes in Rhizobiaceae has allowed for a revision of the taxonomic identities of members in Rhizobiaceae . In this study, we performed analyses of genome-based phylogeny and phylogenomic metrics to review the relationships of 155-type strains within the family Rhizobiaceae . The UBCG and concatenated protein phylogenetic trees, constructed based on 92 core genes and concatenated alignment of 170 single-copy orthologous proteins, demonstrated that the taxonomic inconsistencies should be assigned to eight novel genera, and 22 species should be recombined. All these reclassifications were also confirmed by pairwise cpAAI values, which separated genera within the family Rhizobiaceae with a demarcation threshold of ~86%. In addition, along with the phenotypic and chemotaxonomic analyses, a novel strain BDR2-2 T belonging to a novel genus of the family Rhizobiaceae was also confirmed, for which the name Ectorhizobium quercum gen. nov., sp. nov. was proposed. Introduction: Candida palmioleophila is a rare human pathogenic fungus, which has been poorly characterized at the genome level. In this study, we reported the first fatal case of C. palmioleophila infection in China and investigate the microevolution of C. palmioleophila in the human host environment., Methods: A series of C. palmioleophila stains were collected from the patient at different time points for routine microbial and drug sensitivity testing. The first C. palmioleophila isolate 07202534 was identified by de novo whole genome sequencing. The in vitro and in vivo genetic evolutionary characteristics of C. palmioleophila were discussed based on the analysis of bioinformatics data., Results: The six C. palmioleophila isolates displayed dose-dependent sensitivity to fluconazole. The C. palmioleophila genome contained homologous genes such as CDR1 and MDR1, which were recognized to be related to azole resistance. In addition, amino acid variation was detected at F105L and other important sites of ERG11 . In addition, the mean divergence time between C. palmioleophila and Scheffersomyces stipites CBS 6054 was 406.04 million years, indicating that C. palmioleophila originated earlier than its closest relative. In addition, the six strains of C. palmioleophila isolated form the patient had higher homology and fewer mutation sites, which indicated the stability in C. palmioleophila genome. Introduction: Environmental temperature and nitrogen (N) fertilizer are two important factors affecting the sugar and organic acid content of tomato fruit. N is an essential nutrient element for plant growth and development, and plays a key role in regulating plant growth, fruit quality and stress response. However, the comparative effect of different N fertilizer levels on the accumulation of soluble sugar and organic acid in tomato young fruit under high temperature stress and its mechanism are still unknown., Methods: Three N fertilizer levels (N1, N2, N3) combined with two temperatures (28/18°C, CK; 35/25°C, HT) were used to study the effects of N fertilizer, HT and their interaction on the soluble sugar and organic acid components, content, metabolic enzyme activity and the expression level of key genes in tomato young fruit, revealing how N fertilizer affects the sugar and organic acid metabolism of tomato young fruit under HT at physiological and molecular levels., Results: The content of soluble sugar and organic acid in tomato young fruit under HT exposure was increased by appropriate N fertilizer (N1) treatment, which was due to the accumulation of glucose, fructose, citric acid and malic acid. High N (N3) and HT exposure had a negative impact on soluble sugar and reduce sugar accumulation. Further studies showed that due to the up-regulation of the expression of sucrose metabolizing enzyme genes ( CWINV2, HK2, SPS, PK ) and sucrose transporter ( SUT1, SUT4, SWEETs ) in tomato, N fertilizer increased the accumulation of soluble sugar by improving the sucrose metabolism, absorption intensity and sucrose transport of fruit under HT exposure. Due to the increase of PEPC gene expression, N fertilizer increased the accumulation of citric acid and malic acid by improving the TCA cycle of fruit under HT exposure., Discussion: Nitrogen fertilizer can improve the heat tolerance of tomato young fruits by improving sugar metabolism under HT exposure. Introduction: Heavy metal-associated isoprenylated plant proteins (HIPPs) play vital roles in metal absorption, transport and accumulation in plants. However, so far, only several plant HIPPs have been functionally analyzed. In this study, a novel HIPP member OsHIPP17 , which was involved in the tolerance to copper (Cu) was functionally characterized., Methods: In this study, qRT-PCR, Yeast transgenic technology, Plant transgenic technology, ICP-MS and so on were used for research., Results: OsHIPP17 protein was targeted to the nucleus. The Cu concentration reached 0.45 mg/g dry weight due to the overexpression of OsHIPP17 in yeast cells. Meanwhile, the overexpression of OsHIPP17 resulted in the compromised growth of Arabidopsis thaliana ( Arabidopsis ) under Cu stress. The root length of Oshipp17 mutant lines was also significantly reduced by 16.74- 24.36% under 25 mM Cu stress. The roots of Oshipp17 rice mutant showed increased Cu concentration by 7.25%-23.32%. Meanwhile, knockout of OsHIPP17 decreased the expression levels of OsATX1 , OsZIP1 , OsCOPT5 or OsHMA5 , and increased the expression levels of OsCOPT1 or OsHMA4 . Antioxidant enzyme activity was also reduced in rice due to the knockout of OsHIPP17 . Moreover, the expression levels of cytokinin-related genes in plants under Cu stress were also affected by overexpression or knockout of OsHIPP17 ., Discussion: These results implied that OsHIPP17 might play a role in plant Cu toxic response by affecting the expression of Cu transport genes or cytokinin-related genes. Making tea from jujube leaves changed the chemical composition and aroma composition of jujube leaves. Here, Through LC-MS, GC-IMS, and GC-MS technology, we have revealed the effect of jujube leaf processing changes on metabolites. LC-MS identified 468 non-volatile metabolites, while GC-IMS and GC-MS detected 52 and 24 volatile metabolites, respectively. 109 non-volatile metabolites exhibiting more pronounced differences were screened. Most lipids and lipid-like molecules, organic acids, amino acids, and flavonoids increased significantly after processing. GC-IMS and GC-MS analysis revealed that the contents of aldehydes and ketones were significantly increased, while esters and partial alcohols were decreased after processing into jujube leaf tea. The main flavor substances of fresh jujube leaf and jujube leaf tea were eugenol and (E) - 2-Hexenal, respectively. Furthermore, amino acids and lipids were closely linked to the formation of volatile metabolites. Our study provided new insights into the changes in metabolites of jujube leaves processed into jujube leaf tea, and had great potential for industrial application. Introduction: Traditional DBS is usually conducted under local anesthesia (LA) which is intolerable to some patients, DBS under general anesthesia (GA) was opted to extended surgical indication. This study aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of bilateral subthalamic deep brain stimulation (STN-DBS) for Parkinson's disease (PD) under asleep and awake anesthesia state in 1-year postoperative follow-up., Methods: Twenty-one PD patients were assigned to asleep group and 25 patients to awake group. Patients received bilateral STN-DBS under different anesthesia state. The PD participants were interviewed and assessed preoperatively and at 1-year postoperative follow-up., Results: At 1-year follow-up, compared surgical coordinate in two groups, the left-side Y of asleep group showed more posterior than awake group (Y was-2.39 ± 0.23 in asleep group, -1.46 ± 0.22 in awake group, p  = 0.007). Compared with preoperative OFF MED state, MDS-UPDRS III scores in OFF MED/OFF STIM state remained unchanged, while in OFF MED/ON STIM state were significantly improved in awake and asleep groups, yet without significant difference. Compared with preoperative ON MED state, MDS-UPDRS III scores in ON MED/OFF STIM, and ON MED/ON STIM state remained unchanged in both groups. In non-motor outcomes, PSQI, HAMD, and HAMA score significantly improved in asleep group compared to awake group at 1-year follow-up (PSQI, HAMD, and HAMA score in 1-year follow-up were 9.81 ± 4.43; 10.00 ± 5.80; 5.71 ± 4.75 in awake group, 6.64 ± 4.14; 5.32 ± 3.78; 3.76 ± 3.87 in asleep group, p  = 0.009; 0.008; 0.015, respectively), while there was no significant difference in PDQ-39, NMSS, ESS, PDSS score, and cognitive function. Anesthesia methods was significantly associated with improvement of HAMA and HAMD score ( p  = 0.029; 0.002, respectively). Adult neurogenesis plays a crucial role in cognitive function and mood regulation, while aberrant adult neurogenesis contributes to various neurological and psychiatric diseases. With a better understanding of the significance of adult neurogenesis, the demand for improving adult neurogenesis is increasing. More and more research has shown that traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), including TCM prescriptions (TCMPs), Chinese herbal medicine, and bioactive components, has unique advantages in treating neurological and psychiatric diseases by regulating adult neurogenesis at various stages, including proliferation, differentiation, and maturation. In this review, we summarize the progress of TCM in improving adult neurogenesis and the key possible mechanisms by which TCM may benefit it. This study applies the paradigm of self-paced reading to examine the Context Predictability Effect in the processing of Chinese and detect whether there is a prediction error cost. Context constraint strength (constraining and neutral) and word predictability (predictable and unpredictable) were strictly manipulated. The statistical results suggest that: (1) There is a Context Predictability Effect for Chinese native speakers in reading processing, which is consistent with most previous studies; (2) There is also a Context Predictability Effect for advanced Chinese L2 learners; (3) Both Chinese native speakers and Chinese L2 learners have a prediction error cost in reading processing, a finding different from those of much previous research. (4) Chinese L2 learners are significantly slower than Chinese native speakers when they conduct predictive reading processing. This paper is very enlightening in that it identifies the existence of a prediction error cost in Chinese L2 processing by means of behavioral experiments, providing evidence for the hypothesis of Lexical Prediction. The therapeutic efficacy of mirror visual feedback (MVF) is attributed to the perception of embodiment. This study intends to investigate the instantaneous effect of embodiment on brain connectivity. Twelve healthy subjects were required to clench and open their non-dominant hands and keep the dominant hands still during two experimental sessions. In the first session, the dominant hand was covered and no MVF was applied, named the sham-MVF condition. Random vibrotactile stimulations were applied to the non-dominant hand with MVF in the subsequent session. Subjects were asked to pedal while having embodiment perception during motor tasks. As suggested by previous findings, trials of no vibration and continuous vibration were selected for this study, named the condition of MVF and vt-MVF. EEG signals were recorded and the alterations in brain connectivity were analyzed. The average node degrees of sham-MVF, MVF, and vt-MVF conditions were largely different in the alpha band (9.94, 11.19, and 17.37, respectively). Further analyses showed the MVF and vt-MVF had more nodes with a significantly large degree, which mainly occurred in the central and the visual stream involved regions. Results of network metrics showed a significant increment of local and global efficiency, and a reduction of characteristic path length for the vt-MVF condition in the alpha and beta bands compared to sham-MVF, and in the alpha band compared to MVF. Similar trends were found for MVF condition in the beta band compared to sham-MVF. Moreover, significant leftward asymmetry of global efficiency and rightward asymmetry of characteristic path length was reported in the vt-MVF condition in the beta band. Introduction: Ubiquitination is involved in many biological processes and its predictive value for prognosis in cervical cancer is still unclear. Methods: To further explore the predictive value of the ubiquitination-related genes we obtained URGs from the Ubiquitin and Ubiquitin-like Conjugation Database, analyzed datasets from The Cancer Genome Atlas and Gene Expression Omnibus databases, and then selected differentially expressed ubiquitination-related genes between normal and cancer tissues. Then, DURGs significantly associated with overall survival were selected through univariate Cox regression. Machine learning was further used to select the DURGs. Then, we constructed and validated a reliable prognostic gene signature by multivariate analysis. In addition, we predicted the substrate proteins of the signature genes and did a functional analysis to further understand the molecular biology mechanisms. The study provided new guidelines for evaluating cervical cancer prognosis and also suggested new directions for drug development. Results: By analyzing 1,390 URGs in GEO and TCGA databases, we obtained 175 DURGs. Our results showed 19 DURGs were related to prognosis. Finally, eight DURGs were identified via machine learning to construct the first ubiquitination prognostic gene signature. Patients were stratified into high-risk and low-risk groups and the prognosis was worse in the high-risk group. In addition, these gene protein levels were mostly consistent with their transcript level. According to the functional analysis of substrate proteins, the signature genes may be involved in cancer development through the transcription factor activity and the classical P53 pathway ubiquitination-related signaling pathways. Additionally, 71 small molecular compounds were identified as potential drugs. Conclusion: We systematically studied the influence of ubiquitination-related genes on prognosis in cervical cancer, established a prognostic model through a machine learning algorithm, and verified it. Free-text data with long duration and continuity have great potential for studying environmental concerns and emotional expressions in child development. Based on ecosystem theory, using topic modeling and sentiment analysis in text mining to mine 4556 free-text writing data from first to sixth grade in elementary school, this study aims to reveal concerned topics' evolutionary trends and sentiment expression differences in topics during elementary school children's development. The results show the following: (1) Children prefer to focus on the topics of school and family in elementary school; (2) With the growth of grades, the proportion of family topics continues to decline, while that of social culture topics keeps rising; (3) When describing school, family, social culture, and interest, children mostly express negative emotions, and when describing peers and ability they mostly express positive emotions; (4) As the grade increases, the emotional expression on social culture topics become negative, while that on ability and interest topics become positive, and there are more differences in emotion expression between topics in junior and senior elementary grades. In transferable black-box attacks, adversarial samples remain adversarial across multiple models and are more likely to attack unknown models. From this view, acquiring and exploiting multiple models is the key to improving transferability. For exploiting multiple models, existing approaches concentrate on differences among models but ignore the underlying complex dependencies. This exacerbates the issue of unbalanced and inadequate attacks on multiple models. To this problem, this paper proposes a novel approach, called Relational Graph Ensemble Attack (RGEA), to exploit the dependencies among multiple models. Specifically, we redefine the multi-model ensemble attack as a multi-objective optimization and create a sub-optimization problem to compute the optimal attack direction, but there are serious time-consuming problems. For this time-consuming problem, we define the vector representation of the model, extract the dependency matrix, and then equivalently simplify the sub-optimization problem by utilizing the dependency matrix. Finaly, we theoretically extend to investigate the connection between RGEA and the traditional multiple gradient descent algorithm (MGDA). Notably, combining RGEA further enhances the transferability of existing gradient-based attacks. Electroacupuncture (EA) has long been used to alleviate surgery-induced hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis dysfunction. However, its downstream gene targets in the brain remain unclear. The aim of the present study was to clarify the potential targets of EA based on RNA sequencing techniques (RNA-seq). Rats were divided into normal control (NC), hepatectomy surgery (HT), HT + EA, and HT + sham EA groups followed by RNA-seq of two representative nuclei in the hypothalamus and amygdala. Weighted Gene Co-expression Network Analysis and Gene Set Enrichment Analysis identified six gene modules associated with neuroendocrine transmitters and neural remodeling in the hypothalamus. Furthermore, circRNA-miRNA-mRNA interaction networks revealed EA-related candidate miRNAs and circRNAs, of which opioid receptor mu 1 might be an EA-specific target, and showed regulation by competing endogenous RNA. Heat stress during the reproductive stage results in major losses in yield and quality, which might be mainly caused by an energy imbalance. However, how energy status affected heat response, yield and quality remains unclear. No relationships were observed among the heat resistance, yield, and quality of the forty-nine early rice cultivars under normal temperature conditions. However, two cultivars, Zhuliangyou30 (ZLY30) and Luliangyou35 (LLY35), differing in heat resistance, yield, and quality were detected. The yield was higher and the chalkiness degree was lower in ZLY30 than in LLY35. Decreases in yields and increases in the chalkiness degree with temperatures were more pronounced in LLY35 than in ZLY30. The accumulation and allocation (ratio of the panicle to the whole plant) of dry matter weight and non-structural carbohydrates were higher in ZLY30 than in LLY35 across all sowing times and temperatures. The accumulation and allocation of dry matter weight and non-structural carbohydrates in panicles were higher in ZLY30 than in LLY35. Similar patterns were observed in the relative expression levels of sucrose unloading related genes SUT1 and SUT2 in grains. The ATP content was higher in the grains of LLY35 than in ZLY30, whereas the ATPase activity, which determined the energy status, was significantly lower in the former than in the latter. Introduction: Isorhynchophylline is one of the main active ingredients from Uncaria rhynchophylla , the effects and mechanisms of isorhynchophylline on stress-induced emotional disorders and cognitive impairment remain unclear., Methods: Long-term potentiation (LTP) in vivo was used for synaptic plasticity evaluation; chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS) model was used to evaluate the effect of isorhynchophylline on stress induced emotional disorders and cognitive impairment; sucrose preference test (SPT), open field test (OFT), and elevated plus maze (EPM) were used to evaluate emotional disorders; morris water maze (MWM) test was used to evaluate cognitive impairment; Western blotting (WB) was used to the expression of proteins; high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was used to quantify neurotransmitters; Nissl staining was used to identify pathological changes induced by stress., Results: In this study, we found that isorhynchophylline improved corticosterone-induced in vivo LTP impairment significantly, indicating positive effects on stress. Therefore, 28-day CUMS model was adopted to evaluate the anti-stress effects of isorhynchophylline. The results showed that isorhynchophylline improved CUMS-induced weight loss, anxiety- and depression-like behaviors, and spatial memory impairment. Isorhynchophylline reduced CUMS-induced corticosterone elevation. N-methyl-D-aspartic acid (NMDA) receptors play an important role in the process of emotion and memory. Introduction: Protists play an important role in nutrient cycling, microbiome stability and soil fertility maintenance. However, the driving force of protistan functional groups remains poorly understood in agricultural ecosystems., Methods: We investigated the impacts of fertilization regimes on the diversity, composition and functional groups of protists and further disentangled the effects of multiple factors shaping the community composition of functional groups in a 5-year fertilization regime (CK, no fertilization; M, organic fertilization; MNPK, combined inorganic and organic fertilization; NPK, inorganic fertilization)., Results: Fertilization significantly changed the community composition of protists rather than diversity. The MNPK treatment significantly increased the relative abundance of phototrophs and decreased that of the parasites and consumers. Partial least squares path modeling indicated that fertilization indirectly regulated protistan consumers via changes in the P content, which affected the composition of consumers mainly by regulating fungal community composition. Paeonia lactiflora Pall . ( P. lactiflora ) is a famous ornamental plant with showy and colorful flowers that has been domesticated in China for 4,000 years. However, the genetic basis of phenotypic variation and genealogical relationships in P. lactiflora population is poorly understood due to limited genetic information, which brings about bottlenecks in the application of effective and efficient breeding strategies. Understanding the genetic basis of color-related traits is essential for improving flower color by marker-assisted selection (MAS). In this study, a high throughput sequencing of 99 diploid P. lactiflora accessions via specific-locus amplified fragment sequencing (SLAF-seq) technology was performed. In total, 4,383,645 SLAF tags were developed from 99 P. lactiflora accessions with an average sequencing depth of 20.81 for each SLAF tag. A total of 2,954,574 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were identified from all SLAF tags. The population structure and phylogenetic analysis showed that P. lactiflora population used in this study could be divided into six divergent groups. Through association study using Mixed linear model (MLM), we further identified 40 SNPs that were significantly positively associated with petal color. Moreover, a derived cleaved amplified polymorphism (dCAPS) marker that was designed based on the SLAF tag 270512F co-segregated with flower colors in P. lactiflora population. Waterlogging stress has a negative influence on agricultural production, particularly for rapeseed yield in a rice-rape rotation field. To alleviate the profound impacts of waterlogging stress on rapeseed production, a new fertilization with calcium peroxide (CaO 2 ) was proposed. In this field experiment, with the conventional rape ( Brassica napus L.) variety fengyou958 (FY958) and early maturing rape variety xiangyou420 (XY420) as materials, waterlogging was imposed from the bud to flowering stage, and three supplies of CaO 2 (0, C1 for the 594 kg hm -2 and C2 for the 864 kg hm -2 ) were added as basal fertilizer. The results showed that CaO 2 significantly reduced the accumulation of fermentation products in roots and alleviated the peroxidation of leaves. The reduced waterlogging stress promoted the root vigor and agronomic characters, such as branches, plant height and stem diameter, accelerated dry matter and nutrients accumulation, and resulting in 22.7% (C1) to 232.8% (C2) higher grain yields in XY420, and 112.4% (C1) to 291.8% (C2) higher grain yields in FY958, respectively. In conclusion, 594 kg hm -2 to 864 kg hm -2 CaO 2 application restored the growth of waterlogged rapeseed leaves, and reduced the anaerobic intensity of root, which enhanced the resistance of plants to waterlogging, and improved crop productivity. Virtual reality has demonstrated its analgesic effectiveness. However, its optimal interactive mode for pain relief is yet unclear, with rare objective measurements that were performed to explore its neural mechanism., Objective: This study primarily aimed at investigating the analgesic effect of different VR interactive modes via functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) and exploring its correlations with the subjectively reported VR experience through a self-rating questionnaire., Methods: Fifteen healthy volunteers (Age: 21.93 ± 0.59 years, 11 female, 4 male) were enrolled in this prospective study. Three rounds of interactive mode, including active mode, motor imagery (MI) mode, and passive mode, were successively facilitated under consistent noxious electrical stimuli (electrical intensity: 23.67 ± 5.69 mA). Repeated-measures of analysis of variance (ANOVA) was performed to examine its pain relief status and cortical activation, with post hoc analysis after Bonferroni correction performed. Spearman's correlation test was conducted to explore the relationship between VR questionnaire (VRQ) items and cortical activation., Results: A larger analgesic effect on the active (-1.4(95%CI, -2.23 to -0.57), p = 0.001) and MI modes (-0.667(95%CI, -1.165 to -0.168), p = 0.012) was observed compared to the passive mode in the self-rating pain score, with no significant difference reported between the two modes (-0.733(95%CI, -1.631 to.165), p = 0.131), associated with diverse activated cortical region of interest (ROI) in charge of motor and cognitive functions, including the left primary motor cortex (LM1), left dorsal-lateral prefrontal cortex (LDLPFC), left primary somatosensory cortex (LS1), left visual cortex at occipital lobe (LOL), and left premotor cortex (LPMC). On the other hand, significant correlations were found between VRQ items and different cortical ROIs (r = -0.629 to 0.722, p < 0.05) as well as its corresponding channels (r = -0.599 to 0.788, p < 0.05)., Conclusion: Our findings suggest that VR can be considered as an effective non-invasive approach for pain relief by modulating cortical pain processing. A better analgesic effect can be obtained by exciting and integrating cortical ROIs in charge of motor and cognitive functions. Growing evidence has shown that the efficacy of systemic administration of daptomycin for the treatment of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)-related infections is satisfactory. However, the clinical efficacy of the local administration of daptomycin for the management of osteoarticular infections remains unclear. This in vitro study compared the efficacy of daptomycin and vancomycin against MRSA biofilms. The elution kinetics of daptomycin and vancomycin, combined with gentamicin and loaded with either β-tricalcium phosphate/calcium sulfate or calcium sulfate, in the presence of MRSA infection, was assessed. Their efficacy in preventing biofilm formation and killing pre-formed biofilms was assessed using colony-forming unit count and confocal laser scanning microscopy. In addition, the efficacy of daptomycin, vancomycin, and gentamicin in prophylaxis and eradication of MRSA biofilms was also evaluated. Daptomycin + gentamicin and vancomycin + gentamicin displayed similar antimicrobial potency against MRSA, by either β-tricalcium phosphate/calcium sulfate or calcium sulfate. In the prevention assays, both daptomycin + gentamicin and vancomycin + gentamicin showed similar efficacy in preventing bacterial colony formation, with approximately 6 logs lower colony-forming units than those in the control group at both 1 and 3  days. The killing effect on pre-formed biofilms showed significant decreases of approximately 4 logs at 1 and 3  days following treatment with daptomycin + gentamicin and vancomycin + gentamicin. In addition, the confocal laser scanning microscopy results support the colony-forming unit data. Moreover, single use of vancomycin and gentamicin showed similar efficacies in preventing and killing MRSA biofilms, both of which were better than that of gentamicin. MicroRNAs (miRNAs), a group of small noncoding RNAs (approximately 20-24 nucleotides), act as essential regulators affecting endogenous gene expression in plants. MiR482/2118 is a unique miRNA superfamily in plants and represses NUCLEOTIDE BINDING SITE-LEUCINE-RICH REPEAT ( NBS-LRR ) genes to function in plant resistance to pathogens. In addition, over the past several years, it has been found that miR482/2118 not only targets NBS-LRR s but also acts on other molecular mechanisms to affect plant resistance. miR482/2118-5ps, phased small interfering RNAs (phasiRNAs) and long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) play important roles in plant disease resistance. Freezing of gait (FOG) is a complex gait disturbance in Parkinson's disease (PD), during which the patient is not able to effectively initiate gait or continue walking. The mystery of the FOG phenomenon is still unsolved. Recent studies have revealed abnormalities in cortical activities associated with FOG, which highlights the importance of cortical and cortical-subcortical network dysfunction in PD patients with FOG. In this paper, phase-locking value (PLV) of eight frequency sub-bands between 0.05 Hz and 35 Hz over frontal, motor, and parietal areas [during an ankle dorsiflexion (ADF) task] is used to investigate EEG phase synchronization. PLV was investigated over both superficial and deeper networks by analyzing EEG signals preprocessed with and without Surface Laplacian (SL) spatial filter. Four groups of participants were included: PD patients with severe FOG ( N = 5, 5 males), PD patients with mild FOG ( N = 7, 6 males), PD patients without FOG ( N = 14, 13 males), and healthy age-matched controls ( N = 13, 10 males). Fifteen trials were recorded from each participant. At superficial layers, frontoparietal theta phase synchrony was a unique feature present in PD with FOG groups. At deeper networks, significant dominance of interhemispheric frontoparietal alpha phase synchrony in PD with FOG, in contrast to beta phase synchrony in PD without FOG, was identified. Alpha phase synchrony was more distributed in PD with severe FOG, with higher levels of frontoparietal alpha phase synchrony. In addition to FOG-related abnormalities in PLV analysis, phase-amplitude coupling (PAC) analysis was also performed on frequency bands with PLV abnormalities. PAC analysis revealed abnormal coupling between theta and low beta frequency bands in PD with severe FOG at the superficial layers over frontal areas. At deeper networks, theta and alpha frequency bands show high PAC over parietal areas in PD with severe FOG. Alpha and low beta also presented PAC over frontal areas in PD groups with FOG. The results introduced significant phase synchrony differences between PD with and without FOG and provided important insight into a possible unified underlying mechanism for FOG. The grassland in the Qinghai-Tibetan plateau provide habitat for many indigenous and introduced ruminants which perform important ecological functions that impact the whole Qinghai-Tibetan plateau ecosystem. These indigenous Tibetan ruminants have evolved several adaptive traits to withstand the severe environmental conditions, especially cold, low oxygen partial pressure, high altitude, strong UV radiation, and poor forage availability on the alpine rangelands. Despite the challenges to husbandry associated with the need for enhanced adaptation, several domesticated ruminants have also been successfully introduced to the alpine pasture regions to survive in the harsh environment. For ruminants, these challenging conditions affect not only the host, but also their commensal microbiota, especially the diversity and composition of the rumen microbiota; multiple studies have described tripartite interactions among host-environment-rumen microbiota. Thus, there are significant benefits to understanding the role of rumen microbiota in the indigenous and introduced ruminants of the Qinghai-Tibetan plateau, which has co-evolved with the host to ensure the availability of specific metabolic functions required for host survival, health, growth, and development. In this report, we systemically reviewed the dynamics of rumen microbiota in both indigenous and introduced ruminants (including gut microbiota of wild ruminants) as well as their structure, functions, and interactions with changing environmental conditions, especially low food availability, that enable survival at high altitudes. We summarized that three predominant driving factors including increased VFA production, enhanced fiber degradation, and lower methane production as indicators of higher efficiency energy harvest and nutrient utilization by microbiota that can sustain the host during nutrient deficit. These cumulative studies suggested alteration of rumen microbiota structure and functional taxa with genes that encode cellulolytic enzymes to potentially enhance nutrient and energy harvesting in response to low quality and quantity forage and cold environment. Introduction: Acupuncture is an effective and safe therapy for patients with migraine without aura (MwoA), but only 41-59% of patients show improvement with this treatment. Screening positive responders to acupuncture treatment for MwoA can ensure that healthcare resources can be appropriately targeted to specific patients who would most benefit. The objective of this study is to determine whether the structure and functional activity in certain brain regions can predict analgesia response in patients with MwoA who receive acupuncture treatment., Methods and Analysis: A total of 72 patients with MwoA and 72 healthy controls (HCs) will be enrolled in this study. Resting-state structural and functional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data will be collected from each participant at baseline. Patients with MwoA will undergo 12 sessions of acupuncture treatment for 8 weeks, twice per week in the first 4 weeks and once per week for the last 4 weeks. The follow-up will be 12 weeks. The number of days with migraine, frequency of migraine attacks, and average visual analog scale scores will be recorded in detail at weeks 0, 4, 8, 12, and 16 and at the end of follow-up (week 20). The positive response rate will be calculated as the proportion of patients with ≥50% reduction in the number of migraine days during follow-up compared with baseline. Bladder cancer (BLCA) is one of the most common malignant tumors of the urinary system, but the current therapeutic strategy based on chemotherapy and immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapy cannot meet the treatment needs, mainly owing to the endogenous or acquired apoptotic resistance of cancer cells. Targeting necroptosis provides a novel strategy for chemotherapy and targeted drugs and improves the efficacy of ICIs because of strong immunogenicity of necroptosis. Therefore, we systemically analyzed the necroptosis landscape on therapy and prognosis in BLCA. We first divided BLCA patients from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database into two necroptosis-related clusters (C1 and C2). Necroptosis C2 showed a significantly better prognosis than C1, and the differential genes of C2 and C1 were mainly related to the immune response according to GO and KEGG analyses. Next, we constructed a novel necroptosis-related gene (NRG) signature consisting of SIRT6 , FASN , GNLY , FNDC4 , SRC , ANXA1 , AIM2 , and IKBKB to predict the survival of TCGA-BLCA cohort, and the accuracy of the NRG score was also verified by external datasets. In addition, a nomogram combining NRG score and several clinicopathological features was established to more accurately and conveniently predict the BLCA patient's survival. We also found that the NRG score was significantly related to the infiltration levels of CD8 T cells, NK cells, and iDC cells, the gene expression of CTLA4, PD-1, TIGIT, and LAG3 of TME, and the sensitivity to chemotherapy and targeted agents in BLCA patients.
