Abstract

The article discusses a study which examined the impact of climate change on urban groundwater table response because of increased precipitation and stormwater infiltration in Silkeborg, Denmark. The study uses the MIKE SHE model to assess the change of groundwater level in the planned new water motorway in the city. Results show that the urban hydrologic cycle in the city varies under different climatic and geological systems.
