International audience; Since Antiquity, lice have always infested Human. Several “homemade remedies” have been used but, currently, no scientific proof of their efficiency has been reported. So, the aim of this study was to determine the efficacy of twelve of these home remedies (hair colour, vinegar, honey…) against human head lice and compare them to one commercial product (Pouxit XF) actually recommended for treatment of head lice in order to assess their in vitro efficacy.
