In a few years, social networks have become an instrument of influence and communication in all age ranges. Preteens and adolescents remain the most vulnerable group because they lack strategies to defend themselves against certain aggressions of this environment. The information and training channels for the management of social networks are still scarce and controversial and their power of social influence is evident in different areas of society, generating currents of opinion and modification of attitudes and beliefs. The great versatility and ease of use, makes them instruments for continued use. We have to add to the process the ignorance on the part of the parents of how to educate the children in their use, taking into account that there is a quite pronounced digital divide. The emotional states in this age group are in continuous development and any incident can have a positive or negative impact on their configuration and, on the other hand, the consequences of an abusive use of them can lead to addiction behavior. In this work we intend to address, from the review of the literature and from a theoretical point of view, the influence of virtual social networks on the emotional behavior of young people and their possible relationship with the addiction process. Resilience is a term arising from physics in relationship with the resistance of the materials as well as their recoverability under different pressures and forces. We currently believe that the concept of resilience remains an ambiguous construct, needing a further clarification, especially in its theoretical configuration issues. To carry it into practice in optimal conditions, we need a model that allows improving outcomes of both vulnerable and general population in relation to health. This work intends to deepen the psychosocial resilience configuration, studying variables that are empirically related to it, with the aim of approaching a clearer construction that allows its applicability in future research within the field of health. Behavioral addictions including Internet addiction still remaining in a scientific limbo because of the difficulties related to a properly differentiation between normal and pathological behaviors. Literature has conceptualized substance addiction in a comprehensive manner and now stands for define the behavioral addictions and their consequential abuse behaviors as a function of parameters related to use frequency, money invested, need or compulsion, as well as the interferences in people's daily lives that may lead them to default on their obligations. As a consequence of the advent of the Social Networking Sites (SNS) and their wide impact among population we may find a new addiction context. These services in addition to their appealing and functionality have an easy connection everywhere at any time, which makes them powerful and immediately enhancers, becoming a breeding ground for an addiction. We are fully aware that is not possible to keep ahead to the technologies and neither their consequences but extra effort is still needed to understand their mechanisms, how can we predict the appearance among young people and how can we fight therapeutically against their consequences.
