Atmospheric turbulence is an intrinsic factor that causes uncertainty of wind speed and its power generation by wind turbine. The research of atmospheric turbulence characteristics of wind farms can be used to reduce this uncertainty. In this paper, enough measurement data getting from actual wind farms is used for information processing to quantitatively analyze the daily variation of wind speed and its power output characteristics. Furthermore, the concept of spatiotemporal diurnal modulation characteristics of atmospheric turbulence is proposed with a global scope, which is an intrinsic property of wind. Besides the daily variation characteristics, the average hourly wind speed has a short-term modulation effect on its turbulence and provides a modulation characteristic on wind speed uncertainty. Moreover, the long-term modulation process is affected by seasonal and regional factors, indicating that it has spatiotemporal characteristics. This atmospheric turbulence characteristic has similar effects on characteristic description parameters. However, the characteristics description parameters of wind speed and wind power variation fail to reflect such intrinsic characteristics that are not affected by the spatiotemporal diurnal modulation characteristics of atmospheric turbulence. This indicates that they do not have diurnal characteristics. Finally, a time-varying model combined with the spatiotemporal diurnal modulation characteristics of wind speed and its power generation is discussed by applying on the evaluation of frequency control in power systems. It is shown that the results obtained by measured data processing could improve the power generation quality of large-scale wind power effectively.

Background. It is known to all the doctors and patients that both the morality and incidence rate of chronic heart failure (CHF) are quite high among various heart diseases. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) comprehensive intervention becomes a rising prospective therapy for patients with CHF. Considering the efficacy of TCM, the study aims to test the safety as well as the validity of TCM comprehensive intervention in patients who are struggling with CHF. Methods. The study is an essentially randomized, single-central, placebo-controlled, double-blinded crossover trial. Eighty-two eligible subjects aged 18–75 years with CHF are supposed to be recruited. According to the subject plan, all the patients will be divided into group A and B. The patients in group A will receive oral Qishen Taohong granules (QTGs) combined with TCM external treatment and standard Western medicine for four weeks. After that, a 2-week washout would be proceeded; this group will be reallocated to another four weeks with oral placebo granules combined with TCM external treatment and standard Western medicine. In contrast, group B will perform the opposite protocol. The primary outcome conforms to the classification from the New York Heart Association (NYHA). Meanwhile, the secondary outcomes are echocardiogram, N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP), Chronic Heart Failure Quality of Life Scale of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine (CHFQLS), TCM syndrome, symptom, sign, six-minute walk test (6MWT), Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), Montreal cognitive assessment (MoCA), major adverse cardiovascular events (MACEs), and metabolomics. Discussion. Based on conventional treatments, TCM comprehensive intervention may further improve the patients’ cardiac function and then enhance their quality of life. The results will provide high-quality evidence of TCM comprehensive intervention in treating CHF.

False information on the Internet is being heralded as serious social harm to our society. To recognize false text information, in this paper, an effective method for mining text features is proposed in the field of false drug advertisements. Firstly, the data of false drug advertisements and real drug advertisements were collected from the official websites to build a database of false and real drug advertisements. Secondly, by performing feature extraction on the text of drug advertisements, this work built a characteristic matrix based on the effective features and assigned positive or negative labels to the feature vector of the matrix according to whether it is a fake medical advertisement or not. Thirdly, this study trained and tested several different classifiers, selected the classification model with the best performance in identifying false drug advertisements, and found the key characteristics that can determine the classification. Finally, the model with the best performance was used to predict new false drug advertisements collected from Sina Weibo. In the case of identifying false drug advertisements, the classification effect of the support vector machine (SVM) classifier established on the feature set after feature selection was the most effective. The findings of this study can provide an effective method for the government to identify and combat false advertisements. This study has a certain reference significance in demonstrating the use of text data mining technology to identify and detect information fraud behavior.

This study aimed to elucidate the associations betweeninterleukin-4(IL-4) single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), 590C/T and 589C/T, serum IL-4 levels, and atopic dermatitis (AD) in children.Methods. A total of 82 children with AD were randomly selected as the case group and divided into mild group (15 cases), moderate group (46 cases), and severe group (21 cases). Additionally, 100 healthy children were selected as the control group. Genotype frequencies of IL-4 SNPs were detected by PCR-RFLP. Serum IL-4 levels were measured by ELISA.Results. Significant differences were shown in genotype distributions and allele frequencies of 589C/T and allele frequencies of 590C/T (allP<0.05). Serum IL-4 levels in the mild, moderate, and severe groups were significantly higher than those in the control group; significant differences were found among these three groups with increased severity of AD. Serum IL-4 levels of heterozygote and mutant homozygote carriers in the mild, moderate, and severe groups were higher than wild homozygote carriers in those three groups and the control group (allP<0.05).Conclusion. 590T and 589T alleles ofIL-4gene may be associated with high levels of serum IL-4, which may increase the risk of AD in children.

Objective. To examine the effects and safety of oral compound Chinese medicine (CCM) plus routine western medicine (RWM) in in-stent restenosis (ISR). Methods. Various electronic databases (CBM, CNKI, VIP, Wanfang, PubMed, EMBASE, and Cochrane Library) were searched until April 2017. The quality of the included studies was evaluated, and meta-analyses were performed using RevMan5.3 and STATA 12.0 software. Moreover, funnel plot and Egger’s publication bias plots were analysed to identify publication bias and adverse reactions were reported. A sensitive analysis was carried out according to the quality score. Results. In all, 40 RCTs involving 4536 patients were selected for this review. The pooled estimates of three studies showed that the benefit to the number of ISRs (NoR) was more substantial for CCM plus RWM than for RWM alone (RR 0.24, 95% CI 0.10 to 0.57, P=0.001;I2=0%, P=0.81). The rate of ISR was significantly lower for CCM plus RWM than for the same RWM alone (RR 0.44, 95% CI 0.37 to 0.53, P<0.00001; I2=0%, P=0.95). CCM plus RWM benefitted the rate of ISR when a CM placebo plus RWM was used as the control intervention (RR 0.34, 95% CI 0.20 to 0.57, P<0.0001; I2=0%, P=0.95). The difference of adverse reactions was not significant. For secondary outcomes, the CCM plus RWM group did not reduce the rates of revascularization and cardiac death, but it did reduce the rate of recurrent angina over the results observed in the RWM alone group. In addition, funnel plot and Egger’s publication bias plot indicated that there was publication bias. The association between the use of CCM plus RWM and RWM alone remained significant after the sensitivity analysis excluding studies with low quality score (quality score ⩽ 4) with a pooled RR of 0.41 (95% CI, 0.34–0.50). Conclusion. Oral CCM plus RWM clearly benefitted patients with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) because it prevented and treated ISR better than was observed for either RWM alone or a CM placebo plus RWM.

Increased nitroxidative stress causes mitochondrial dysfunctions through oxidative modifications of mitochondrial DNA, lipids, and proteins. Persistent mitochondrial dysfunction sensitizes the target cells/organs to other pathological risk factors and thus ultimately contributes to the development of more severe disease states in alcoholic and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. The incidences of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease continuously increase due to high prevalence of metabolic syndrome including hyperlipidemia, hypercholesterolemia, obesity, insulin resistance, and diabetes. Many mitochondrial proteins including the enzymes involved in fat oxidation and energy supply could be oxidatively modified (includingS-nitrosylation/nitration) under increased nitroxidative stress and thus inactivated, leading to increased fat accumulation and ATP depletion. To demonstrate the underlying mechanism(s) of mitochondrial dysfunction, we employed a redox proteomics approach using biotin-N-maleimide (biotin-NM) as a sensitive biotin-switch probe to identify oxidized Cys residues of mitochondrial proteins in the experimental models of alcoholic and acute liver disease. The aims of this paper are to briefly describe the mechanisms, functional consequences, and detection methods of mitochondrial dysfunction. We also describe advantages and limitations of the Cys-targeted redox proteomics method with alternative approaches. Finally, we discuss various applications of this method in studying oxidatively modified mitochondrial proteins in extrahepatic tissues or different subcellular organelles and translational research.
