The nonlinear time-series analysis method, based on the recurrence plot theory, has received great attention from researchers and has been successfully used in multiple fields. However, traditional recurrence plots that use Heaviside step functions to determine the recursive behavior of a point in the phase space have two problems: (1) Heaviside step functions produce a rigid boundary, resulting in information loss; and (2) the selection of the critical distance, ε, is crucial; if the selection is inappropriate, it will result in a low-dimensional dynamics error, and as of now, there exists no unified method for selecting this parameter. With regard to the problems described above, the novelty of this article lies in the following: (1) when determining the state-phase point recursiveness, a Gaussian function is used to replace the Heaviside function, thereby solving the rigidity and binary value problems of the recursive analysis results caused by the Heaviside step function; and (2) texture analysis is performed on a recurrence plot, new ways of studying complex system dynamics features are proposed, and a system of complex system dynamic-like measurement methods is built. Multiframe PC box-girder bridge with intermediate hinges is a kind of bridge having complex structural characters, which is very quintessential in California. In this study, a typical bridge was adopted to establish a nonlinear dynamic model through OpenSees platform. Intermediate hinge and inhibiting devices in it were elaborately simulated. Meanwhile, pushover analysis was used to reinstate a specimen of column test, which has the similar ratio of reinforcement to the typical bridge, and the hysteretic model parameters of the longitudinal steels inside columns were obtained. The damage indexes of column and hinge, which are primary components, under different limit states were acquired by moment-curvature analysis. Taking into account the uncertainty, nonlinear time-history analysis of the bridge was carried out through a suite of synthetic ground motions. Subsequently, a probabilistic seismic demand model was developed, and fragility curves were further focused on. According to fragility assessment, the conclusion shows that columns and hinge restrainers exhibit high fragility, and bridge system fragility is gradually determined by column fragility along with aggravating of the damage state. Unseating of girder can hardly occur at abutments and intermediate hinges. Moderate limit state could be exceeded in the positions of plug-type concrete structures in intermediate hinges, which tends to create transverse and vertical cracks, furthermore causing reinforcements yield. Objective. The effects of apelin-13 on the expression of Bcl-2 and caspase-3 factors and the apoptosis of adipocytes were studied at the cellular and animal levels. Methods. 3T3-L1 preadipocytes were cultured and grouped. The third-generation cells were added to the control DMSO solvent and amidation-modified apelin-13. The expression of Bcl-2 and caspase-3 were detected. The cell growth viability and cell apoptosis were detected. DOI model rats were established. The effects of apelin-13 on DOI rat biochemical indicators, the expression of Bcl-2, caspase-3, and cell apoptosis were investigated by injecting amidation-modified apelin-13 through the tail vein. Result. In in vitro experiments, amidation-modified apelin-13 can significantly reduce the growth viability of adipocytes and the expression of Bcl-2, increase the expression of caspase-3, and promote the apoptosis of adipocytes. Animal experiments also show that apelin-13 modified by amidation can adjust the abnormal biochemical indicators of DOI rats, decrease the expression of Bcl-2 in adipose tissue, increase the expression of caspase-3, and promote the apoptosis of adipocytes. Conclusion. Amidation of apelin-13 can promote fat cell apoptosis and reduce the incidence of obesity. The mechanism may be accomplished by inhibiting Bcl-2 and caspase-3 factors. Tight oil is an important unconventional resource, and sand production is an inevitable challenge during the field development. In this paper, based on data from the Daqing oilfield in Songliao Basin, the sand production of the tight sandstone oil reservoir is studied from the perspective of seepage and in situ stress distribution. Based on the combination of the formation fluid seepage law and the stress distribution around the well, a sand production prediction model is proposed to quantitatively estimate the sand production rate. The sand production prediction model is built based on the derivation of the sand production rate, which is well validated against the field data in the Daqing field with a relative error of 4.38%.The following conclusions are drawn: (1) after the critical pressure difference is exceeded, the sand production rate is smaller with a higher flowing bottom-hole pressure; (2) a smaller sand production radius makes the formation more unstable and causes a more severe sand production; and (3) various sand production rates exhibit due to different permeabilities. A new approach to solving weapon-target assignment (WTA) problem is proposed in this paper. Firstly, relative superiority that lays the foundation for assignment is calculated based on the combat power energy of the fighters. Based on the relative superiority, WTA problem is formulated. Afterwards, a hybrid algorithm consisting of improved artificial fish swarm algorithm (AFSA) and improved harmony search (HS) is introduced and furthermore applied to solve the assignment formulation. Finally, the proposed approach is validated by eight representative benchmark functions and two concrete cooperative air combat examples. Aiming at the problem that unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) is difficult to quickly and accurately perceive situation information and make maneuvering decision autonomously in modern air combat, which is easily affected by complex factors, a maneuvering decision algorithm of UCAV combined with deep reinforcement learning and game theory is proposed in this paper. Firstly, through the UCAV dynamics model and maneuver library, a reasonable air combat situation assessment model and advantage reward function are established, and the sample data of situation assessment indicators are constructed using the structure entropy weight method. Secondly, the convolutional neural network (CNN) is used to process the high-dimensional continuous situation features of UCAV in air combat, eliminate the correlation and redundancy between situation features, and train the neural network to approximate the action-value function. Then, the double deep Q network (DDQN) algorithm in reinforcement learning (RL) is introduced to train the agent by the interaction with the environment and combined with Minimax algorithm in stochastic game theory to solve the optimal value function in each specific state, and the optimal maneuver decision of UCAV is obtained. Air combat simulation results show that UCAV can choose maneuvers autonomously under different situations and occupy a dominant position quickly by this method, which greatly improves the combat effectiveness of UCAV. The magnetic nano-materials, Co/graphitic carbon- (GC-) shell nanocrystals, were made via chemicalvapour deposition (CVD) method, and their biodistribution and excretion in mice were studied by using postintravenously (i.v.) injecting with 60Co-Co/GC nanocrystals. The results showed that about 5% of Co was embedded into graphitic carbon to formmultilayer Co/GC nanocrystals and the size of the particle was ~20 nm, the thickness of the nanocrystal cover layer was ~4 nm, and the core size of Co was ~14 nm. Most of the nanocrystals were accumulated in lung, liver, and spleen after 6, 12, 18, and 24 h after i.v. with 60Co-Co/GC nanocrystals. The nanoparticles were cleared rapidly from blood and closed to lower level in 10 min after injection. The 60Co- Co/GC nanocrystals were eliminated slowly from body in 24 h after injection, ~6.09% of 60Co-Co/GC nanocrystals were excreted by urine, ~1.85% by feces in 24 h, and the total excretion was less than 10%. Gesture recognition utilizes deep learning network model to automatically extract deep features of data; however, traditional machine learning algorithms rely on manual feature extraction and poor model generalization ability. In this paper, a multimodal gesture recognition algorithm based on convolutional long-term memory network is proposed. First, a convolutional neural network (CNN) is employed to automatically extract the deeply hidden features of multimodal gesture data. Then, a time series model is constructed using a long short-term memory (LSTM) network to learn the long-term dependence of multimodal gesture features on the time series. On this basis, the classification of multimodal gestures is realized by the SoftMax classifier. Finally, the method is experimented and evaluated on two dynamic gesture datasets, VIVA and NVGesture. Experimental results indicate that the accuracy rates of the proposed method on the VIVA and NVGesture datasets are 92.55% and 87.38%, respectively, and its recognition accuracy and convergence performance are better than those of other comparison algorithms. To evaluate the quality of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge, high-performance liquid chromatography-diode array detector (HPLC/UV-PAD), near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy, and chemometrics were used to discriminate nine components of samples from four different geographical locations. HPLC was performed with a C18 (5 μm, 4.6 mm × 250 mm) column and 0.1% formic acid aqueous solution-acetonitrile with a gradient elution system. Orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis was used to identify the amounts of salvianolic acid B. NIR was used to distinguish rapidly S. miltiorrhiza Bunge samples from different geographical locations. In this assay, discriminant analysis was performed, and the accuracy was found to be 100%. Aim. We sought to profile gut microbiota's role in combination of Bu Fei Hua Yu (BFHY) with cisplatin treatment. Methods. Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) mice model were constructed followed by treatment with cisplatin alone or combined with BFHY. Mice weight and tumor volume were measured during the experiment. And mice cecum were detected by hematoxylin and eosin, cecum contents were collected for Enzyme Linked ImmuneSorbent Assay, and stool were profiled for metagenomic sequencing. Results. Combination of BFHY with cisplatin treatment decreased the tumor growth and relieved the damage of cecum. Expressions of interleukin-6 (IL-6), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), monocyte chemotactic protein 1 (MCP), and interferon-γ (IFN-γ) were decreased compared with cisplatin treatment alone. Linear discriminant analysis effect size analysis showed that g_Parabacteroides was downregulated and g_Escherichia and g_Blautia were upregulated after cisplatin treatment. After combination with BFHY, g_Bacteroides and g_Helicobacter were decreased. g_Klebsiella, g_Unclssified_Proteobacteria, and g_Unclssified_Clostridiates were increased. Moreover, heatmap results showed that Bacteroides abundance was increased significantly after cisplatin treatment; BFHY combination treatment reversed this state. Function analysis revealed that multiple functions were slightly decreased in cisplatin treatment alone and increased significantly after combination with BFHY. Conclusion. Our study provided evidence of an efficacy of combination of BFHY with cisplatin on treatment of NSCLC and revealed that gut microbiota plays a role in it. Explosion craters on the ground surface induced by contact or near-field explosions have important implications, which can be used to assess blast consequences, guide the design of the explosion, or develop a protective strategy. In this study, to understand the crater characteristics induced by the contact explosion of large weight explosives, four field contact explosion tests were conducted on the surface of the Gobi Desert with large TNT charge weights of 1 ton, 3 tons, and 10 tons (test conducted twice). Cratering on the ground surface generated by large amounts of explosives was measured and evaluated, including the shape, depth, and diameter. A fine-mesh numerical model was developed and validated on the AUTODYN software platform, and a detailed parametric study was performed on the resulting craters. The effects of sand and gravel density, initiation method, shear modulus, and failure criteria were analyzed and discussed. An energy conversion coefficient was determined, and the corresponding theoretical equations were derived to predict the dimensions of the craters resulting from the large weight contact explosion. With the adjustment of human diet and lifestyle changes, the prevalence of obesity is increasing year by year. Obesity is closely related to the excessive accumulation of white adipose tissue (WAT), which can synthesize and secrete a variety of adipokines. Apelin is a biologically active peptide in the adipokines family. Past studies have shown that apelin plays an important regulatory role in the pathogenesis and pathophysiology of diseases such as the cardiovascular system, respiratory system, digestive system, nervous system, and endocrine system. Apelin is also closely related to diabetes and obesity. Therefore, we anticipate that apelin-13 has an effect on lipometabolism and intend to explore the effect of apelin-13 on lipometabolism at the cellular and animal levels. In in vitro experiments, amidation-modified apelin-13 can significantly reduce the lipid content; TG content; and the expression of PPARγ, perilipin mRNA, and protein in adipocytes. Animal experiments also show that amidation modification apelin-13 can improve the abnormal biochemical indicators of diet-induced obesity (DOI) rats and can reduce the average diameter of adipocytes in adipose tissue, the concentration of glycerol, and the expression of PPARγ and perilipin mRNA and protein. Our results show that apelin-13 can affect the metabolism of adipose tissue, inhibit adipogenic differentiation of adipocytes, promote lipolysis, and thereby improve obesity. The mechanism may be regulating the expression of PPARγ to inhibit adipogenic differentiation and regulating the expression of perilipin to promote lipolysis. This study helps us understand the role of apelin-13 in adipose tissue and provide a basis for the elucidation of the regulation mechanism of lipometabolism and the development of antiobesity drugs. Target maneuver trajectory prediction is an important prerequisite for air combat situation awareness and threat assessment. Aiming at the problem of low prediction accuracy in traditional trajectory prediction methods, combined with the chaotic characteristics of the target maneuver trajectory time series, a target maneuver trajectory prediction model based on chaotic theory and improved genetic algorithm-Volterra neural network (IGA-VNN) model is proposed, mathematically deducing and analyzing the consistency between Volterra functional model and back propagation (BP) neural network in structure. Firstly, the C-C method is used to reconstruct the phase space of the target trajectory time series, and the maximum Lyapunov exponent of the time series of the target maneuver trajectory is calculated. It is proved that the time series of the target maneuver trajectory has chaotic characteristics, so the chaotic method can be used to predict the target trajectory time series. Then, the practicable Volterra functional model and BP neural network are combined together, learning the advantages of both and overcoming the difficulty in obtaining the high-order kernel function of the Volterra functional model. At the same time, an adaptive crossover mutation operator and a combination mutation operator based on the difference degree of gene segments are proposed to improve the traditional genetic algorithm; the improved genetic algorithm is used to optimize BP neural network, and the optimal initial weights and thresholds are obtained. Finally, the IGA-VNN model of chaotic time series is applied to the prediction of target maneuver trajectory time series, and the experimental results show that its estimated performance is obviously superior to other prediction algorithms. Bluetongue is an arthropod‐borne viral disease of ruminants caused by bluetongue virus (BTV). In China, BTV is relatively common in Yunnan Province with the exception of northern regions around Shangri‐La, where the average altitude is approximately 3,450 metres. Recently, the seroprevalence of BTV has been measured in yaks in Shangri‐La; therefore, this study investigated BTV infections in this area. The serological investigation in five villages in Shangri‐La showed that there were sporadic BTV infections in yaks (20 of 507 positive) during 2014 to 2017, while the seroprevalence of BTV at three goat farms in a nearby river valley was 35%–65% in 2017. Subsequently, 20 sentinel goats were kept on two separate farms in the river valley and monitored for seroconversion between May and September of 2017. Five of the sentinel animals were tested positive for antibodies to BTV by C‐ELISA during the study period, and 13 BTV isolates were isolated from ten sentinel animals. All isolates were identified as the same serotype, and the complete nucleotide sequence of one was determined. The genomic sequences showed that the isolated BTV strain belonged to serotype 21 and had approximately 99.8%–100% homology with three Indonesian BTV‐21 strains (D151, RIVS‐66 and RIVS‐60) between their coding sequences (CDSs) except for Seg4 (99.5%). Background. Inflammation might play a crucial role in the pathogenesis of osteoarthritis (OA). Interleukin-34 (IL-34) is a well-known proinflammatory cytokine. Objective. The objective of this study was to detect IL-34 levels in serum and synovial fluid (SF) of patients with OA and to investigate their correlation with radiographic and symptomatic severity. Methods. One hundred and eighty-two OA patients and 69 controls were recruited. IL-34 levels were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Radiographic and symptomatic severity of OA was reflected by Kellgren-Lawrence (KL) grades and Western Ontario McMaster University Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC) scores, respectively. Results. SF IL-34 levels were independently associated with the KL grade (B=0.273, 95% CI: 0.150–0.395; P<0.001). SF IL-34 levels were significantly correlated with WOMAC scores (r=0.265, 95% CI: 0.123–0.399; P<0.001). The correlation between SF IL-34 levels and WOMAC scores was still significant after adjusting for confounding factors (B=0.020, 95% CI: 0.001–0.038; P=0.035) in OA patients. Conclusions. Purpose. To compare the dosimetric differences between volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) and helical tomotherapy (HT) in treating early T-stage nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). Method. Ten patients with early T-stage NPC who received tomotherapy using simultaneously integrated boost (SIB) strategies were replanned with VMAT (RapidArc of Varian, dual-arc). Dosimetric comparisons between the RapidArc plan and the HT plan included the following: (1) D98, homogeneity, and conformity of PTVs; (2) sparing of organs at risk (OARs); (3) delivery time and monitor units (MUs). Results. (1) Compared with RapidArc, HT achieved better dose conformity (CI of PGTVnx + nd: 0.861 versus 0.818, P = 0.004). (2) In terms of OAR protection, RapidArc exhibited significant superiority in sparing ipsilateral optic nerve (Dmax: 27.5Gy versus 49.1Gy, P < 0.001; D2: 23.5Gy versus 48.2Gy, P < 0.001), contralateral optic nerve (Dmax: 30.4Gy versus 49.2Gy, P < 0.001; D2: 26.2Gy versus 48.1Gy, P < 0.001), and optic chiasm (Dmax: 32.8Gy versus 48.3Gy, P < 0.001; D2: 30Gy versus 47.6Gy, P < 0.001). There were no statistically significant differences in spinal cord or pituitary protection between the RapidArc plan and the HT plan. Our results show that RapidArc and HT are comparable in D98, dose homogeneity, and protection of the spinal cord and pituitary gland. RapidArc performs better in shortening delivery time, lowering MUs, and sparing the optic nerve and optic chiasm. The effects of oxidized multiwalled carbon nanotubes (oMWCNTs) on the behavior and hepatotoxicity of Cd2+ in accumulated cadmium-metallothionein mice were investigated. The results indicated that, after exposure of oMWCNTs to normal mice, oMWCNTs could not induce the liver to produce metallothionein (MT). When exposing Cd-MT mouse to different doses of oMWCNTs oMWCNTs could cause Cd2+ release from the accumulated Cd-MT; subsequently, one part of the free Cd2+ was eliminated with blood circulation; the other part adsorbed by oMWCNTs would remain in the tissues together with oMWCNTs. The results of the activities changes of alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), total bilirubin (TB), and blood urea nitrogen (BUN) in plasma showed that the hepatotoxicity of coexposure was lower than that of single exposure, and the hepatotoxicity and accumulation of oMWCNTs in livers depended strongly on the exposure dosage of oMWCNTs.The histology of liver and kidney tissue also confirmed the previous results. Therefore, the author inferred that MT could be connected with oMWCNTs to reduce their hepatotoxicity, but the detailed mechanism needs to be further studied. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

PURPOSE. This study aims to determine the 12-month and lifetime prevalence of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) and its sociodemographic correlates. DESIGN AND METHODS. A total of 5,926 subjects were randomly selected and interviewed. FINDINGS. The overall 12-month and lifetime prevalence of GAD was 0.8%, and 1.2%, respectively. Being older than 25 years and female, lower education level, unemployed status, and lower (< RMB500/month) or higher (> RMB2000/month) monthly income were associated with increased risk of GAD. This research develops a multi-layer hybrid soft-sensor model to improve the accuracy of building thermal load prediction using integrated data. The multi-layer hybrid model (autoregressive and particle swarm optimization neural network) hybridizes an autoregressive model with exogenous inputs and a particle swarm optimization neural network. The distributed sensors’ experimental scenario was set in a medium-sized office building located in Shanghai, which has applied this multi-layer hybrid model to evaluate the prediction accuracy, meanwhile its performance was also compared with several commonly used methods under different evaluation criteria. Through frequency-domain decomposition, the heat balance equation is used to validate the autoregressive and particle swarm optimization neural network model. Both the simulation of building thermal load and experiment results demonstrate that the proposed autoregressive and particle swarm optimization neural network method can recognize soft sensing of the building thermal load much more quickly and efficiently, and achieve higher accuracy in both cooling load and heating load prediction. Purpose: We analyzed the prevalence, clinical correlation, and the functional significance of ALA in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).Methods: ALA IgG was detected by indirect immunofluorescence in the serum of 130 SLE patients, 75 patients with various rheumatic diseases, and 45 healthy controls (HC).Results: The sensitivity and specificity of ALA IgG in SLE were 42.3% and 96.7%, respectively. ALA was observed in 55.6% (50/90) of patients with lymphopenia, which was significantly higher than in patients with normal lymphocytes (5/40, 12.5%; P<0.001). Patients with active SLE showed higher ALA positivity (60.9%) than those with inactive disease (24.2%; χ2=17.925; P<0.001). ALA correlated significantly with hypocomplementemia, anti-dsDNA antibodies, and higher SLEDAI scores. The incidences of ALA in SLE patients who were seronegative for anti-dsDNA, anti-Sm, or both antibodies were 32.9% (26/79), 41.0% (43/105), and 32.4% (22/68), respectively. The ALA-positive group also had higher incidences of neuropsychiatric SLE (NPSLE) and lupus nephritis (LN). In multivariate analyses, ALA was independently associated with lymphopenia, higher SLEDAI scores, and increased risk for LN. ALA titers significantly decreased as clinical disease was ameliorated following treatment.Conclusions: ALA occurred more frequently in patients with active SLE and was independently associated with lymphopenia, disease activity, and LN.
