One year after the first presentation to our clinic, therapy for RA was escalated to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-inhibitor etanercept. In our patient, GA had persisted for more than 5 years despite therapy with topical steroids and systemic therapy for RA with MTX, and low-dose prednisolone, respectively.
