Over the last decade, researchers have paid more and more attention to the natural compound curcumin for its potential application in anticancer therapy. However, the application of curcumin has been limited owing to its rapid metabolism in the body. HO-3867, a stable curcumin analog, shows potent antitumor activities against various tumor cells. Yet, information on HO-3867's impact on non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells is lacking. Herein, we evaluated the cytotoxicity of HO-3867 in NSCLC cells. We discovered that HO-3867 suppressed the viability of NSCLC cells containing wild-type p53. In NSCLC cells, HO-3867 promotes both apoptosis and ferroptosis, the latter of which is a newly discovered mode of cell death. Mechanically, HO-3867-induced apoptosis relied on the inhibition of Mcl-1 and Bcl-2 and the upregulation of Bax. Moreover, NSCLC cells undergo ferroptosis when treated with HO-3867 via activating the p53-DMT1 axis and suppressing GPX4. Additionally, HO-3867 caused an accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in NSCLC in a way that was dependent on the presence of iron. Introduction. Genetic factors play an important role in Parkinson's disease (PD) risk. However, the genetic contribution to progression in Chinese PD patients has rarely been studied. This study investigated genetic associations with progression based on 30 PD risk loci common in a longitudinal cohort of Chinese PD patients and the Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) cohort. Methods. PD patients from the true world (TW) Chinese PD longitudinal cohort and the PPMI cohort with demographic information and assessment scales were assessed. A panel containing 30 PD risk single nucleotide polymorphisms was tested. Progression rates of each scale were derived from random-effect slope values of mixed-effects regression models. Progression rates of multiple assessments were combined by using principal component analysis (PCA) to derive scores for composite, motor, and nonmotor progression. The association of genetic polymorphism and separate scales or PCA progression was analysed via linear regression. Results. In the Chinese PD cohort, MAOB rs1799836 was associated with progression based on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, the top 3 principal components (PCs) of nonmotor PCA and PC1 of the composite PCA. In the PPMI cohort, both MDS-Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale II and motor PC1 progression were associated with RIT2 rs12456492. The PARK16 haplotype was associated with Geriatric Depression Scale and the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory for Adults progression, and the SNCA haplotype was associated with the Hoehn-Yahr staging progression and motor PC1 progression. Ethnicity-stratified analysis showed that the association between MAOB rs1799836 and PD progression may be specific to Asian or Chinese patients. Conclusion. MAOB rs1799836 was associated with the progression of nonmotor symptoms, especially cognitive impairment, and the composite progression of motor and nonmotor symptoms within our Chinese PD cohort. Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is a common clinical emergency. Effective emergency treatment at the early stage of onset can effectively reduce the mortality rate. Time is the key of emergency treatment, which is directly related to the treatment effect and the prognosis of patients, and clinical intensive nursing intervention for emergency treatment is of great significance in improving the efficiency of emergency treatment and prognosis. In this study, the effects of routine emergency care flow and SWOT analysis combined with medical and nursing integration on emergency treatment efficiency and prognosis of patients with acute myocardial infarction were compared. The results showed that the combined scheme could improve the rescue effect and success rate of patients with acute myocardial infarction, shorten the rescue time, and reduce the mortality and complication rate of myocardial infarction, which provided a new direction for clinical emergency treatment of acute myocardial infarction. The carrier-based kinematic-to-kinematic relative positioning can obtain the precise baseline between two moving stations, which greatly expands the application field of dynamic relative positioning. However, the relative positioning performance is degraded greatly with low fixation rate of ambiguity with low-cost receivers. Especially, in the complex dynamic environment, ambiguity resolution effect is influenced by the satellite signal blocked, multipath outlier, and abnormal state prediction. Aiming at the problems, a novel inertial navigation system–aided robust adaptive filtering ambiguity resolution model is proposed. In addition, a hierarchical filtering strategy is developed to eliminate ambiguity parameters in BeiDou navigation satellite system/inertial navigation system tightly coupled integrated system. Finally, the precise relative position can be calculated with the "best" ambiguity solution. Both experiments with static data and field vehicle test were carried out to evaluate the algorithm efficiency in different data configurations. The results indicate that IRAFAR-TCRP method can effectively suppress the influence of observation outliers and model prediction abnormalities, which improves the success rate of ambiguity resolution, raises the accuracy as well as the continuity of relative positioning. The success rate of ambiguity resolution with single-frequency BeiDou navigation satellite system can reach 90% in the gross error and abnormal disturbance environments and centimeter-level accuracy can be achieved. Autonomous aerial refueling (AAR) has generated great interest in recent years. However, much research has focused on the vision-based close docking stage; few studies have been conducted on the navigation algorithm for the rendezvous and following stages. High-precision relative navigation in following stage can provide favourable conditions for successful docking. Aiming at precise relative navigation in the complex high dynamic environment of aerial refueling rendezvous and following stages, a two-stage adaptive filtering architecture is exploited in this paper. An adaptive main Kalman filter (AKF) is realized for ambiguity eliminated GNSS/INS tightly coupled integrated system, and a robust adaptive subfilter is developed for GNSS individually. Particularly, aiming at the influence of pseudorange observation multipath outliers and state abnormal disturbances in unmanned air vehicle- (UAV-) tanker proximity, an INS-aided bifactor robust and classified factor adaptive filtering (IBRCAF) algorithm for single-frequency ambiguity resolution is proposed. Finally, the effectiveness of the algorithm is verified by the simulation experiments for UAV-tanker. The results indicate that the IBRCAF algorithm can efficiently suppress the influence of pseudorange multipath gross errors and abnormal state disturbances and greatly raise the success rate of ambiguity resolution, and the two-stage adaptive filtering algorithm of IBRCAF-AKF can significantly improve relative navigation performance and achieve centimeter-level accuracy. The precipitation rate and cementation strength of calcium carbonate crystals during the process of microorganism-induced calcium carbonate precipitation (MICP) are key factors that affect the application effect of this technology. In order to improve the quality of calcium carbonate formation in the MICP process, egg white protein with a volume fraction of 20%, bovine serum albumin with a mass fraction of 0.3%, sucrose with a mass fraction of 5%, bamboo leaves with a mass concentration of 25 g/L, and bamboo leaf-magnesium chloride (M g 2 + / C a 2 + = 4 : 1) were added during the experiment of different groups of MICP solutions. The results of the solution test study showed that there was no obvious lag period for bacterial growth under the action of organic matrix. The concentration of bacteria in the reaction solution was higher under the action of sucrose and egg white. The conversion rate of Ca2+ under the action of egg white was the fastest, which was about 2.5 times higher than that of the control group. After 14 days of grouting reaction, it was found that the proportion of calcite-type calcium carbonate produced under the action of egg white was the highest, and the Ca element accounted for 66.24% in the solidified material. Sucrose was second; bovine serum albumin was the lowest. The calcium carbonate crystals generated by the control of each organic matrix had a high degree of pore size matching with the tailings under a dry-wet cycle. The structural characteristics of the calcium carbonate crystals, such as crystal form, morphology, and particle size, were mainly due to the interaction between the organic matrix and the calcium carbonate crystals. This study proves that the addition of the organic matrix can improve the formation rate and crystal structure of calcium carbonate during MICP, thus providing a new reference for the development of MICP technology. Following traumatic insult and associated pathogen infection, innate immunity is activated during the perioperative period, especially the NLRP3 inflammasome in macrophages. The neuroendocrine response is also rapidly activated to regulate excessive inflammation; however, the molecular mechanisms are still not completely clear. This study is aimed at investigating the modulation of NLRP3 inflammasome priming by endogenous glucocorticoids (corticosterone, CORT) and its relationship with xanthine oxidase (XO). RAW264.7 murine macrophages were stimulated with LPS (1 μg/ml). LPS-induced NLRP3 expression was pretreated by CORT at different concentrations (0-900 ng/ml). Then, the effect of higher concentrations of CORT (700 ng/ml) on LPS-induced NLRP3 expression and the effect of allopurinol (250 μg/ml) were observed. Finally, the effects of a CORT antagonist (RU486) on XO expression and activity and NLRP3 expression in macrophages were further analyzed. Supernatant levels IL-1β and IL-18 were measured. The results showed that LPS-induced NLRP3 expression was upregulated further by pretreatment with CORT (300 ng/ml) (P < 0.05); however, higher concentrations of CORT (greater than 700 ng/ml) downregulated NLRP3 expression (P < 0.01) and the expression and activity of XO (P < 0.05 and P < 0.01 , respectively). Allopurinol significantly inhibited NLRP3 expression. However, XO expression and activity, NLRP3 expression, and supernatant IL-1β and IL-18 levels were significantly increased in the RU486 group compared with the CORT group. In conclusion, our results suggested that CORT inhibits LPS-induced NLRP3 inflammasome priming in macrophages. Transplantation of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (hUC-MSCs) into spinal cord injury (SCI) may alleviate neuropathic pain and promote functional recovery. The underlying mechanism likely involves activation of glial cells and regulation of inflammatory factors but requires further validation. SCI was induced in 16 ICR mice using an SCI compression model, followed by injection of lentiviral vector-mediated green fluorescent protein- (GFP-) labeled hUC-MSCs 1 week later. Behavioral tests, histological evaluation, and inflammatory factor detection were performed in the treatment (SCI+hUC-MSCs) and model (SCI) groups. Histological evaluation revealed GFP expression in the spinal cord tissue of the treatment group, implying that the injected MSCs successfully migrated to the SCI. The Basso, Beattie, and Bresnahan (BBB) scores showed that motor function gradually recovered over time in both groups, but recovery speed was significantly higher in the treatment group than in the model group. The pain threshold in mice decreased after SCI but gradually increased over time owing to the self-repair function of the body. The corresponding pain threshold of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the model group, indicating the therapeutic and analgesic effects of hUC-MSCs. Expression of IL-6 and TNF-α in the spinal cord tissue of the treated group decreased, whereas glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) expression along with ED1 expression increased compared with those in the model group, suggesting that SCI activated ED1 inflammatory macrophages/microglia, which were subsequently reduced by hUC-MSC transplantation. hUC-MSCs are speculated to enhance the repair of the injured spinal cord tissue and exert an analgesic effect by reducing the secretion of inflammatory factors IL-6 and TNF-α and upregulating the expression of GDNF. Summary of Background Data.With the increasing incidence and mortality of refractory mycoplasma pneumonia (RMPP), the early diagnosis and treatment of RMPP have attracted more and more attention and have become a major concern in pediatrics. Objective. The study aimed to analyze the clinical characteristics of children with RMPP and to explore the biomarkers for the early prediction of RMPP, thus providing references for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of RMPP in children. Methods. Baseline clinical characteristics, clinical symptoms, physical examination, chest imaging, and laboratory indicators between children with RMPP and general refractory mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (GMPP) were compared. Multiple logistic regression analysis was used to determine independent risk factors for RMPP. ROC curves were adopted to analyze the predictive values of biomarkers. Results. The RMPP group had more severe clinical symptoms and manifestations on imaging (including pleural effusion, pulmonary consolidation, and pulmonary atelectasis), a higher incidence of extrapulmonary complications, and a longer duration of hospital stays. Results of multiple logistic regression analysis showed that serum D-dimer (OR = 8.169, P < 0.001), C-reactive protein (CRP) (OR = 1.146, P < 0.001), and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) (OR = 1.025, P < 0.001) levels were independent risk factors for RMPP. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUROC) in RMPP prediction was 0.841, 0.870, and 0.893 for serum levels of D-dimer, CRP, and LDH, respectively (P < 0.001), with a cutoff value of 1.47 ng/ml, 39.34 mg/L, and 379 IU/L, respectively. Conclusions. Serum D-dimer, CRP, and LDH levels were related to the severity of mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia in children and had potential as biomarkers for the early prediction of RMPP, suggesting great applicative values for the early diagnosis and timely intervention of children with RMPP in clinical practice. Inflammatory injury and neuronal apoptosis participate in the period of early brain injury (EBI) after subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). Suppression of inflammation has recently been shown to reduce neuronal death and neurobehavioral dysfunction post SAH. Biochanin A (BCA), a natural bioactive isoflavonoid, has been confirmed to emerge the anti-inflammatory pharmacological function. This original study was aimed at evaluating and identifying the neuroprotective role of BCA and the underlying molecular mechanism in an experimental Sprague-Dawley rat SAH model. Neurobehavioral function was evaluated via the modified water maze test and modified Garcia neurologic score system. Thus, we confirmed that BCA markedly decreased the activated level of TLRs/TIRAP/MyD88/NF-κB pathway and the production of cytokines. BCA also significantly ameliorated neuronal apoptosis which correlated with the improvement of neurobehavioral dysfunction post SAH. These results indicated that BCA may provide neuroprotection against EBI through the inhibition of inflammatory injury and neuronal apoptosis partially via the TLRs/TIRAP/MyD88/NF-κB signal pathway. A facile hydrothermal synthesis with CuSO4 as the copper source was used to prepare micro/nano-Cu2O. The obtained samples have been characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). With increasing the reaction temperature and time, the final products were successively Cu2O octahedron microcrystals, Cu2O/Cu composite particles, and a wide range of Cu spherical particles. The gas sensitivity of products towards ethanol and acetone gases was studied. The results showed that sensors prepared with Cu2O/Cu composites synthesized at 65°C for 15 min exhibited optimal gas sensitivity. The gas sensing mechanism and the effect of Cu in the enhanced gas response were also elaborated. A simple, rapid, and specific HPLC method was established for simultaneous determination of five major lignans (Schizandrol A, Schizandrol B, Schisandrin A, γ-Schisandrin, and Schisandrin C) in Schisandra chinensis. The five lignans can be separated completely on Kromasil C18 column (250 nm × 4.6 nm) and then detected at 254 nm using methanol (mobile phase A) and water (mobile phase B) with gradient elution as the mobile phase at 1.0 mL/min flow rate. The column temperature was 30°C. The method was validated in terms of linearity, precision, stability, repeatability, and recovery. Results showed that the method is accurate and reproducible. Objective. To investigate the absorption property of the representative hydrolyzable tannin, namely corilagin, and its hydrolysates gallic acid (GA) and ellagic acid (EA) from the Fructus Phyllanthi tannin fraction (PTF) in vitro. Methods. Caco-2 cells monolayer model was established. Influences of PTF on Caco-2 cells viability were detected with MTT assay. The transport across monolayers was examined for different time points, concentrations, and secretory directions. The inhibitors of P-glycoprotein (P-gp), multidrug resistance proteins (MRPs), organic anion transporting polypeptide (OATP) and sodium/glucose cotransporter 1 (SGLT1), and tight junction modulators were used to study the transport mechanism. LC-MS method was employed to quantify the absorption concentration. Results. The apparent permeability coefficient (Papp) values of the three compounds were below 1.0 × 10−6 cm/s. The absorption of corilagin and GA were much lower than their efflux, and the uptake of both compounds was increased in the presence of inhibitors of P-gp and MRPs. The absorption of EA was decreased in the company of OATP and SGLT1 inhibitors. Moreover, the transport of corilagin, GA, and EA was enhanced by tight junction modulators. Conclusion. These observations indicated that the three compounds in PTF were transported via passive diffusion combined with protein mediated transport. The plants of the genus Phyllanthus (Euphorbiaceae) have been used as traditional medicinal materials for a long time in China, India, Brazil, and the Southeast Asian countries. They can be used for the treatment of digestive disease, jaundice, and renal calculus. This review discusses the ethnopharmacological, phytochemical, and pharmacological studies of Phyllanthus over the past few decades. More than 510 compounds have been isolated, the majority of which are lignins, triterpenoids, flavonoids, and tannins. The researches of their remarkable antiviral, antioxidant, antidiabetic, and anticancer activities have become hot topics. This paper focuses on a coordinated tracking planning method of multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which was deployed in the best positions to better fulfill the marine target localization tasks when approaching the target. The optimal planning of multi-UAVs was implemented using an online centralized nonlinear model predictive control (NMPC) based on the target state's uncertainty criteria. The penalty function is used to solve UAV platform dynamic performance in the model predictive control method to consider the more realistic situation. The coordinated planning problems of multi-UAVs are numerically simulated and compared with the Lyapunov vector field guidance (LVFG) method under classical mission scenarios. Simulation results demonstrate that the algorithm can maintain the optimal observation configuration of multi-UAVs to improve the marine target positioning accuracy, verifying the feasibility and superiority of this method. Objective. Intracellular localization of translationally controlled tumour protein (TCTP) was investigated in cancer cells. Methods. The expression and localization of TCTP were detected at 12 h, 24 h, 48 h, 60 h time points in culture of human hepatocarcinoma cell line HepG2, human cervical carcinoma cell line HeLa, and human normal liver cell line HL-7702 by immunofluorescence. Results. TCTP was expressed in both normal and tumor cells, and its localization changes at different time points. TCTP was mainly expressed in cytoplasm from 24 h to 48 h then expressed in both nucleus and cytoplasm at 60 h in HL-7702 cells. While in HepG2 cells, TCTP first localized at cell membrane within 24 h then at both nucleus and cytoplasm from 48 h to 60 h; TCTP localized at both nucleus and cytoplasm from 12 h to 60 h in Hela cells. Conclusion. The translocation of intracellular expression of TCTP in normal and tumor cells at different time points may pave a path to the studying of TCTP role in tumor growth. The presence of aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH) is usually accompanied by excessive inflammatory response leading to damage of the central nervous system, and the sialic acid-binding Ig-like lectin 10 (Siglec-10) is a recognized factor being able to modify the inflammatory reaction. To investigate the potential role of Siglec-10 in aSAH, we collected the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) of control (n = 11) and aSAH (n = 14) patients at separate times and measured the Siglec-10 concentration utilizing the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and evaluated the alterations of GOS and GCS during the disease process. In accordance with the STROBE statement, results showed that Siglec-10 in CSF rose quickly in response aSAH attack and then fell back to a slightly higher range above baseline, while it remained at relative high concentration and last longer in several severely injured patients. In general, higher Siglec-10 expression over a longer period usually indicated a better clinical prognosis. This prospective cohort study suggested that Siglec-10 could possibly be used as a biomarker for predicting prognosis of aSAH due to its ability to balance aSAH-induced nonsterile inflammation. This article presents a quad‐band multiple‐input multiple‐output antenna with two‐element. Its radiator, composed of four rings, realizes multi‐band function, and isolation between the two antenna elements is improved by using the cross‐shaped defective ground structure and the goblet shaped stub at the center of the back ground plane. The total size of the design is only 25 mm × 32 mm, but it can obtain good performance in the four frequency bands (4.6‐5.0 GHz, 6.82‐7.83 GHz, 10.3‐10.8 GHz, and 14.1‐16.96 GHz), which can be concluded from the simulation and measurement results on the desired bands: (a) the input reflection coefficient (S11) less than −17 dB, (b) the isolation (S21) better than −15 dB, (c) the envelope correlation coefficient below 0.04 and the peak gain greater than 1.23 dBi. The proposed antenna is suitable for wireless communication of small unmanned aerial vehicle operating in the beyond‐line‐of‐sight range. The first of the four bands (4.6‐5.0 GHz) is used for 5G cellular network communication and the other three bands can be applied for downlink of X‐band (7.25‐7.75 GHz) satellite communication, X‐band (8‐12 GHz) and Ku‐band (12‐18 GHz) satellite communication, respectively. In recent years, increasing numbers of cases of acute gastroenteritis caused by Group A rotavirus (RVA) G12 strains have been reported in humans from many countries around the world, but G12 RVA detection in animals is currently less reported. Pigs are an important animal reservoir of zoonotic RVs and a mixing vessel for RVs. In 2020, RVA infection cases in piglets increased in China, which attracted more attention. During an epidemiological survey, a new type of porcine G12P[7] strain (CN127) was detected in pig farms across several provinces. Complete genome analyses revealed that strain CN127 possessed a Wa‐like backbone with a genotype constellation of G12‐P[7]‐I1‐C1‐M1‐R1‐A8‐N1‐T1‐E1‐H1. The A8 genotype is indicative of its porcine rotavirus origin. Sequence identities and phylogenetic analyses showed that the VP2, VP4, NSP1, NSP4 and NSP5 genes were most closely related to those of porcine rotaviruses, but the VP1, VP6, VP7 and NSP2‐3 genes were most closely related to those of human rotaviruses. CN127 likely emerged due to genetic reassortment between porcine and human rotavirus. In vivo experiments showed that CN127 infection caused gastrointestinal tract lesions in piglets and histopathological changes in the lung, liver and mesenteric lymph nodes (MLNs). In the small intestine, RVA antigen was detected in the duodenum and jejunum but not in the ileum. In the extra‐intestinal tissues, RVA antigen was detected in the lung but not in the MLNs. Viral RNA was detected in the intestinal and extra‐intestinal tissues as well as blood. This study reveals that RVA G12P[7] may become an epidemic strain in China and also provides further evidence that cocirculating human and porcine strains could produce new genotype rotaviruses with high virulence in piglets. Background. Persistent inflammation has been recognized as an important comorbid condition in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and is associated with many complications, mortality, and progression of CKD. Previous studies have not drawn a clear conclusion about the anti-inflammatory effects of statins in CKD. This meta-analysis is aimed at assessing the anti-inflammatory effects of statins therapy in patients with CKD. Methods. A comprehensive literature search was conducted in these databases (Medline, Embase, Cochrane library, and clinical trials) to identify the randomized controlled trials that assess the anti-inflammatory effects of statins. Subgroup, sensitivity, and trim-and-fill analysis were conducted to determine the robustness of pooled results of the primary outcome. Results. 25 eligible studies with 7921 participants were included in this meta-analysis. The present study showed that statins therapy was associated with a decreased C-reactive protein (CRP) (-2.06 mg/L; 95% CI: -2.85 to -1.27, p < 0.01). Subgroup, sensitivity, and trim-and-fill analysis showed that the pooled results of CPR were stable. Conclusion. This meta-analysis demonstrates that statins supplementation has anti-inflammatory effects in patients with CKD. Statins exert an anti-inflammatory effect that is clinically important in improving complications, reducing mortality, and slowing progression in CKD. We believe that the benefits of statins to CKD are partly due to their anti-inflammatory effects. However, stains usually are prescribed in the CKD patients with dyslipidemia, whether statins can reduce inflammation in CKD patients with normal serum lipid needed to explore in the future. Therefore, we suggest that randomized clinical trials need to assess the effect of statins in CKD patients with normal serum lipid. Objective. To determine the oncofertility outcomes and prognostic factors in a large series of serous borderline ovarian tumor-micropapillary variant (SBOT-M) with a long-term follow-up. Methods. Consecutive patients with SBOT-Ms treated from two affiliated hospitals of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences were retrospectively reviewed. Prognostic factors on invasive recurrence, disease-free survival (DFS), and overall survival were analyzed, and outcomes of patients treated with conservative and radical surgery were compared. Results. From 2000 to 2020, 200 patients were identified and followed. After a median follow-up of 68 months, 81 patients relapsed. In the multivariate analyses, younger age at diagnosis and conservative surgery that preserved fertility potential were independently associated with worse DFS (p = 0.018 and <0.001, respectively). Twenty-three patients experienced invasive recurrence, and seven died of progressive disease. Multivariate analysis showed that nulliparous and advanced FIGO stage were independently adversely associated with lethal recurrence (p = 0.022 and 0.029, respectively). Only advanced FIGO stage at diagnosis was associated with worse overall survival at univariate analysis (p = 0.02). Among 61 patients attempting conception, 37 achieved 44 pregnancies and resulted in 32 live births. Conclusions. In this series, patients with SBOT-M have an acceptable oncofertility outcomes. The use of conservative surgery was independently associated with worse DFS, but without an impact on neither invasive relapse nor on overall survival. Patients with advanced FIGO stages had a significantly higher risk of lethal recurrence and worse overall survival, suggesting that adequate staging surgery and intensive postoperative surveillance should be warranted. To gain benefit from netted sensors, it is essential to correctly integrate each sensor into a global frame of reference. The process is termed sensor registration. It involves minimizing the effects of the errors from the imprecisely known relative positions or orientations of the various sensors, the biased sensor measurements, the offset sensor clocks, and so on. In the paper, a model of a typical sensor registration problem in a 2-sensor scenario is presented for illustration. Four kinds of registration errors, i.e., calibration errors (offsets), attitude (orientation) errors, position errors, and timing errors are mainly discussed in literatures, and literatures are categorized in the paper by its purpose that which one of the four kinds of errors, or which combination of the decoupled errors among them is aimed to solve. The registration errors can be viewed as constant and they can also vary or drift slowly. To address them, different kinds of algorithms have been developed. The algorithms for sensor registration can be divided into three types referred to as Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3 respectively. Algorithms of Type 1, mainly including batch processing methods and meta-heuristic optimization ones, are applied to cases that the registration errors are constant over time. Algorithms of Type 2 provide online estimation of sensor biases, but it is decoupled from the target estimation. The assumption for constant errors is relaxed, and the approaches are extended to cope with both constant and varying errors. The algorithms of Type 3 attempt to simultaneously solve for target variables and sensor systematic biases, and most of them achieve this via augmented state Kalman filter with the augmented state vector combining the target states and sensor uncertainty. References are accordingly organized by type, discussed, and annotated. Related issues of sensor registration are concerned including the non-unique detection probability, the asynchronous sensor measurements, the observability of registration problem, the relative registration and absolute registration, and the performance bounds of the estimator of the registration errors. The developed techniques for solving the problems are summarized respectively. The paper is concluded with a brief summary and some thoughts on the future trends and research directions. Acute kidney injury (AKI), a common condition associated with a high mortality rate, is characterized by declined glomerular filtration rate, retention of nitrogen products, and disturbances in balance of water, electrolyte, and acid-base. Up to date, there is no effective treatment for AKI. Despite the continuous improvement in blood purification techniques, a considerable proportion of patients with AKI still progress to end-stage renal disease. These patients with advanced stage of end-stage renal disease will require long-term renal replacement therapy, which places a heavy burden on the family and the society. In recent years, the use of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in AKI management has been gradually increasing. Clinical evidence has demonstrated that three-month treatment with TCM produced better clinical outcomes in terms of clinical effectiveness rate and improvement in renal function (serum creatinine, neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin, and cystatin C) compared with Western medicine. Rhubarb is a commonly used herb in TCM for the treatment of AKI. The main active component of rhubarb is emodin, which was first recorded in Shennong's Classic of Materia Medica. It has been shown that emodin has a variety of pharmacological activities including antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiulcer, and immunosuppressive effects. Emodin has been found to be effective against renal fibrosis and has been widely studied for its effects on kidney diseases such as diabetic nephropathy, renal fibrosis, and AKI. With rapid development of advanced manufacturing technologies and high demands for innovative lightweight constructions to mitigate the environmental and economic impacts, design optimization has attracted increasing attention in many engineering subjects, such as civil, structural, aerospace, automotive, and energy engineering. For nonconvex nonlinear constrained optimization problems with continuous variables, evaluations of the fitness and constraint functions by means of finite element simulations can be extremely expensive. To address this problem by algorithms with sufficient accuracy as well as less computational cost, an extended multipoint approximation method (EMAM) and an adaptive weighting-coefficient strategy are proposed to efficiently seek the optimum by the integration of metamodels with sequential quadratic programming (SQP). The developed EMAM stems from the principle of the polynomial approximation and assimilates the advantages of Taylor's expansion for improving the suboptimal continuous solution. Results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed EMAM over other evolutionary algorithms (e.g., particle swarm optimization technique, firefly algorithm, genetic algorithm, metaheuristic methods, and other metamodeling techniques) in terms of the computational efficiency and accuracy by four well-established engineering problems. The developed EMAM reduces the number of simulations during the design phase and provides wealth of information for designers to effectively tailor the parameters for optimal solutions with computational efficiency in the simulation-based engineering optimization problems. The metabolism of dairy cows with inactive ovaries differs from that of healthy dairy cows. However, the molecular mechanisms underpinning these physiological and metabolic changes remain unclear. The purpose of this study was to investigate follicular fluid metabolite changes in dairy cows with inactive ovaries. Untargeted metabolomics technology and multivariate statistical analysis were used to screen differential metabolites in follicular fluid samples between inactive ovaries and estrus cows at 45-60 d postpartum. Fourteen differential metabolites were identified, consisting of amino acids, lipids, sugars, and nucleotides. When compared with healthy animal samples, eight follicular fluid metabolites were significantly increased, and six metabolites were significantly decreased in dairy cows with inactive ovaries. Metabolic pathway analyses indicated that differential metabolites were primarily involved in glycerol phospholipid metabolism, arachidonic acid metabolism, valine, leucine and isoleucine biosynthesis, and phenylalanine metabolism. These metabolites and their enrichment pathways indicate that the enhancement of lipid metabolism and the weakening of carbohydrate production of amino acids in dairy cows with impaired follicular development. Overall, these data provide a better understanding of the changes that could affect follicular development during the postpartum period and lay the ground for further investigations. Microbial-induced calcium carbonate precipitation (MICP) technology is a new green reinforcing technology in soil stabilization. Targeting on the problem that seepage is the main factor of causing the instability of a tailings dam, a comparative experiment is conducted, which includes the MICP technology on reinforcing tailings with or without the effect of a seepage field. The results of the comparative experiment are as follow: the mercury penetration test indicates that, under the function of a seepage field, the total pore in the tailing is relatively decreased; SEM shows that under the function of a seepage field, the intergranular pore increases; the direct shear test shows that under the function of a seepage field, the tailings' shear strength decreases; the determination of calcium ion content shows that the distribution of calcium carbonate in the tailings under the action of a seepage field is more uneven. Particle flow numerical simulation software (PFC3D) was utilized to establish the consolidated-undrained triaxial compression test numerical models of mine tailings with different dry densities to deeply investigate the macroscopic and microscopic characteristics of mine tailings in a tailing pond in Hunan Province. Comparing the results of the simulation and the laboratory experiment, the mesoscopic parameters of the particle flow numerical simulation were obtained through continuously adjusting the mesoscopic parameter with the higher degree of agreement between the stress-strain curve, the peak strength, and the elastic modulus as the determining standard. The macroscopic and microscopic characteristics of mine tailings were studied from the perspectives of stress-strain, axial strain-volume strain, coordination number, particle velocity vector, and contact force between particles. After numerous numerical tests, it was found that the PFC3D simulation results are consistent with experiment results of the dry density tailing samples under different confining pressures; compared with the high confining pressure, the simulation test results at lower confining pressures were more with that of the laboratory tests; low density and high confining pressure both have inhibitory effect on the dilatancy characteristics of triaxial samples; with the same confining pressure, the dilatancy tendency of low dry density samples is suppressed comparing with the high dry density samples. Objectives. This systematic review aims to critically evaluate the efficacy of manual acupuncture for optic atrophy. Eight English and Chinese databases, including Cochrane Library, EMbase, PubMed, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang Database, China Science and Technology Journal Database (VIP), and Chinese Biomedical Literature Database (CBM), as well as ongoing trials registered with the WHO International Clinical Trials Registry Platform, were searched to identify eligible randomized controlled trials (RCTs) studying manual acupuncture for optic atrophy compared to medication alone. The quality of evidence was assessed using Cochrane Collaboration's risk of bias tool. Meta-analysis was performed using Review Manager version 5.3. Nine studies were identified and included for meta-analysis. The meta-analysis showed significant differences in favor of manual acupuncture or manual acupuncture plus medication compared with medication alone in the following outcome measures: visual acuity (MD = 0.18, 95% CI [0.17, 0.20], P < 0.00001), mean sensitivity of visual field (MD = 2.11, 95% CI [1.90, 2.32], P < 0.00001), the latent period of P-VEP100 (MD = -6.80, 95% CI [-8.94, -4.66], P < 0.00001), the total effectiveness (264 eyes) (OR = 3.22, 95% CI [1.88, 5.51], P<0.0001), and the total effectiveness (344 participants) (OR = 4.29, 95% CI [2.56, 7.19], P < 0.00001). Despite statistical advantages of manual acupuncture in the literature, due to serious methodological flaws in study design, it cannot be concluded that manual acupuncture is more effective than medicine alone. Objective. To investigate the site of action of sinapine thiocyanate (ST), following acupoint herbal patching (AHP). Methods. Twenty Wistar rats were randomized into five groups (groups A, B, C,D, and E), and all groups received the same AHP in vivo. Skin samples were excised at 2 h, 4 h, 6 h, 10 h, and 26 h after AHP administration from group A to group E separately and the concentrations of ST in the skin were determined using a liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method. A pharmacokinetic profile of ST following AHP was performed at the same time in a group of five Wistar rats to detect plasma levels at the same time intervals. Results. The mean ± SD ST concentrations (ng/ml) at 2 h (group A), 4 h (group B), 6 h (group C), 10 h (group D), and 26 h (group E) after AHP administration were 250.01 ± 61.99, 61.01 ± 30.41, 40.12 ± 26.94, 78.66 ± 59.43, and 19.55 ± 18.95, respectively. To enhance nucleoside production in Hirsutella sinensis, the biosynthetic pathways of purine and pyrimidine nucleosides were constructed and verified. The differential expression analysis showed that purine nucleoside phosphorylase, inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase, and guanosine monophosphate synthase genes involved in purine nucleotide biosynthesis were significantly upregulated 16.56-fold, 8-fold, and 5.43-fold, respectively. Moreover, dihydroorotate dehydrogenase, uridine nucleosidase, uridine/cytidine monophosphate kinase, and inosine triphosphate pyrophosphatase genes participating in pyrimidine nucleoside biosynthesis were upregulated 4.53-fold, 10.63-fold, 4.26-fold, and 5.98-fold, respectively. To enhance the nucleoside production, precursors for synthesis of nucleosides were added based on the analysis of biosynthetic pathways. Uridine and cytidine contents, respectively, reached 5.04 mg/g and 3.54 mg/g when adding 2 mg/mL of ribose, resulting in an increase of 28.6% and 296% compared with the control, respectively. Meanwhile, uridine and cytidine contents, respectively, reached 10.83 mg/g 2.12 mg/g when adding 0.3 mg/mL of uracil, leading to an increase of 176.3% and 137.1%, respectively. It is relatively difficult to diagnose bacterial sepsis in nephrolithiasis patients. The aim of the study is to evaluate the diagnostic ability of presepsin in the differential diagnosis including SIRS, infection, or sepsis and to compare its diagnostic value with other markers, mainly as CRP, procalcitonin (PCT), and white blood cell (WBC) in patients of nephrolithiasis presenting with SIRS. 39 patients of nephrolithiasis who were diagnosed as SIRS were prospectively investigated. Plasma presepsin was detected by Pathfast presepsin assay system; CRP and PCT were measured as well. Additionally, 25 nephrolithiasis patients without SIRS were included. At all timing samples, patients were classified as SIRS or non-SIRS group. Median plasma presepsin levels were significantly increased in the SIRS group compared with non-SIRS group (452 pg/mL versus 178 ng/mL, P<0.001), and presepsin was markedly elevated even in the early stage of SIRS (584 pg/mL 6 h, 660 pg/mL 24 h versus 452 pg/mL, P<0.001). According to the receiver-operating characteristic (ROC) analysis, presepsin demonstrated a high diagnostic value compared with either PCT or CRP. In the early stage of SIRS, presepsin remained a highly sensitive (74.7%) and specific (88.4%) diagnostic marker compared with either PCT, CRP, or WBC. Moreover, the areas under the curve (AUCs) of presepsin (84.6%) were also superior to those seen in either PCT (79.6%) or CRP (71.8%).
