We investigate the mathematical correlation between weight loss and texture characteristics of modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) for cherry tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum). In this study, the Slogstic1 model showed that the weight loss of cherry tomatoes with MAP increased with prolonged storage time at room temperature. Moreover, this weight loss had a negative influence on all the texture parameters. Taking weight loss as a dependent variable, the texture parameters of firmness, cohesiveness, gumminess, chewiness, and resilience were significantly related to weight loss as independent variables and used to establish the fitting functions. With an increase in weight loss, the changes in firmness, cohesiveness, gumminess, chewiness, and resilience were consistent with the Log3P1, Gauss, Logistic, Boltzmann, and GaussAmp models, respectively. The result will provide useful information for predicting the weight loss and evaluating the texture of MAP fruit quantitatively. The paper studies the characterization and evaluation technology of rotation accuracy of hydrostatic spindle under the influence of unbalance. The dynamic model of the motion error of the hydrostatic spindle is established based on the dynamic parameters. The variation law of motion error of spindle rotor is analyzed under the unbalanced mass. The paper finds that with the increase of the spindle speed, the amplitude of the spindle error motion will increase, and the inclination angle θ error is more sensitive to the change in the rotational speed. In the total synthesis accuracy, the proportion of synchronization error decreases with the increase of the rotational speed. Finally, the least squares evaluation algorithm is used to evaluate the rotation error of the hydrostatic spindle, and a method for evaluating the rotation accuracy of the hydrostatic spindle with high calculation accuracy and calculation efficiency is proposed. This paper proposes a novel optimization method to improve the performance of aerostatic spindle. The optimization process is based on the main factors affecting the load and stiffness of aerostatic spindle, which are determined by cross-correlation analysis. The maximum values of load capacity and stiffness are obtained from the relationship between the optimization function and the main influence factors. After optimization, the corresponding natural frequency has been improved, which indicates that the optimization method proposed in this paper is more efficient and reliable in the field of precision machining. The CD36 gene encodes a membrane glycoprotein (type B scavenger receptor, SR-B2) that plays a crucial role in lipid sensing, innate immunity, atherogenesis, and glycolipid metabolism. In this study, we aimed to investigate the association between CD36 gene polymorphisms and intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) in a Han Chinese population. We performed genotype and allele analyses for eleven single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of CD36 in a case-controlled study involving 292 ICH patients and 298 control participants. Eleven SNPs were genotyped by the Improved Multiple Ligase Detection Reaction (iMLDR) method. The results indicated that the SNP rs1194182 values were significantly different between ICH group and control group in a dominant model after adjusting for confounding factors. The subgroup analysis conducted for rs1194182 showed that the allele G frequencies were significantly different between ICH patients and controls in hypertension group via a dominant model. We then analyzed the rs1194182 genotype distributions among different groups of the serum lipid groups, including BMI, TC, TG, HDL, and LDL. However, no significant differences were found in the analysis of other subgroups. Taken together, these findings indicate that rs1194182 polymorphism in the CD36 gene was associated with ICH, and genotype GG could be an independent predictor. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the learning curve of performing surgery with the InterTan intramedullary nail in treating femoral intertrochanteric fractures, to provide valuable information and experience for surgeons who decide to learn a new procedure. Methods. We retrospectively analyzed data from 53 patients who underwent surgery using an InterTan intramedullary nail at our hospital between July 2012 and September 2015. The negative exponential curve-fit regression analysis was used to evaluate the learning curve. According to 90% learning milestone, patients were divided into two group, and the outcomes were compared. Results. The mean operative time was 69.28 (95% CI 64.57 to 74.00) minutes; with the accumulation of surgical experience, the operation time was gradually decreased. 90% of the potential improvement was expected after 18 cases. In terms of operative time, intraoperative blood loss, hospital stay, and Harris hip score significant differences were found between two groups (p=0.009, p=0.000, p=0.030, and p=0.002, resp.). Partial weight bearing time, fracture union time, tip apex distance, and the number of blood transfusions and complications were similar between two groups (p>0.5). Conclusion. This study demonstrated that the learning curve of performing surgery with the InterTan intramedullary nail is acceptable and 90% of the expert’s proficiency level is achieved at around 18 cases. We investigated the effect of Chinese herbal compound Song-you Yin on HCC stemness. MHCC97H and Hep3B cell lines were pretreated with SYY for 4 weeks, and their chemosensitivity to oxaliplatin was evaluated. The expression of CSC-related markers, cell invasion and migration, and colony formation were also examined. SYY-treated orthotopic nude mouse models of human HCC were developed to explore the effect of oxaliplatin on tumor growth, metastasis, and survival. The CSCrelated molecular changes in vivo were also evaluated. The result showed that MHCC97H and Hep3B cells pretreated with SYY showed significantly increased chemosensitivity to oxaliplatin and the downregulation of CSC-related markers CD90, CD24, and EPCA M. SYY also attenuated cell motility, invasion, and colony formation in MHCC97H and Hep3B cell lines. The reduced tumorigenicity and pulmonary metastasis were observed in SYY-pretreated cell lines. Combination treatment with oxaliplatin and SYY significantly reduced tumor volume and pulmonary metastasis and prolonged survival compared with oxaliplatin treatment alone. Immunohistochemical analysis showed reduced expression of CD90, ABCG2, ALDH, CD44, EPCA M, vimentin, and M MP- 9 and increased the expression of E-cadherin, in HCC cells following combination treatment. These data clearly demonstrate that SYY renders hepatocellular carcinoma sensitive to oxaliplatin through the inhibition of stemness. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
