Ecotourism is proposed to preserve the forest and the rural way of life.

The article looks at visitor impact on Betws-y-coed in the Snowdonia National Park in Wales and some of the strategies being implemented to cope with the influx of visitors. Though tourism has caused positive impact on economy, the cost of living has risen too high that the local settlers are forced out of the place together with their culture. Betws-y-coed is facing an upcoming identity loss if management of the place will be lenient and tolerant.
