A dual-band planar dipole antenna designed for the 2.4 to 5.2 gigahertz wireless local area network bands is proposed. The antenna achieves a dual-band bandwidth of 2.23-2.62 gigahertz and 4.84-5.38 gigahertz and can be installed in portable devices.
