In this paper, the $\mathcal {H}_{\infty }$ stabilization problem is studied for discrete-time semi-Markov jump singularly perturbed systems (SMJSPSs) with repeated scalar nonlinearities. As the exact statistical information of the sojourn time or the mode transition is difficult to obtain, the case with only partial semi-Markov kernel information available is considered. Furthermore, introducing an external disturbance or nonlinearity into the analysis of discrete-time semi-Markov jump systems (DTSMJSs) meets critical obstacles, since the relation between the system state vectors at two nonadjacent instants is difficult to determine. To address this issue, the variation trend of the Lyapunov function for a semi-Markov jump sequence is analyzed in detail. Subsequently, criteria of mean-square exponential stability (MSES) for DTSMJSs are established for the first time based on the Lyapunov stability theory. By virtue of the criteria obtained and the cone complementary linearization algorithm, a controller ensuring MSES and $\mathcal {H}_{\infty }$ performance for discrete-time nonlinear SMJSPSs is constructed. This paper deals with the quantized control problem for nonlinear semi-Markov jump systems subject to singular perturbation under a network-based framework. The nonlinearity of the system is well solved by applying Takagi–Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy theory. The semi-Markov jump process with the memory matrix of transition probability is introduced, for which the obtained results are more reasonable and less limiting. In addition, the packet dropouts governed by a Bernoulli variable and the signal quantization associated with a logarithmic quantizer are deeply studied. The major goal is to devise a fuzzy controller, which not only assures the mean-square $\bar { \sigma }$ -error stability of the corresponding system but also allows a higher upper bound of the singularly perturbed parameter. Sufficient conditions are developed to make sure that the applicable controller could be found. In this article, sampled-data synchronization problem for stochastic Markovian jump neural networks (SMJNNs) with time-varying delay under aperiodic sampled-data control is considered. By constructing mode-dependent one-sided loop-based Lyapunov functional and mode-dependent two-sided loop-based Lyapunov functional and using the Itô formula, two different stochastic stability criteria are proposed for error SMJNNs with aperiodic sampled data. The slave system can be guaranteed to synchronize with the master system based on the proposed stochastic stability conditions. Furthermore, two corresponding mode-dependent aperiodic sampled-data controllers design methods are presented for error SMJNNs based on these two different stochastic stability criteria, respectively. Finally, two numerical simulation examples are provided to illustrate that the design method of aperiodic sampled-data controller given in this article can effectively stabilize unstable SMJNNs. It is also shown that the mode-dependent two-sided looped-functional method gives less conservative results than the mode-dependent one-sided looped-functional method. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article is concerned with the problem of output feedback control for a class of continuous-time hidden semi-Markov jump systems with time delays. Due to the limitations of the actual environment, system modes are usually undetectable, which are called hidden modes. The controller modes are described as observable modes. Emission probabilities are used to establish the relationship between abovementioned two concepts. The jump parameters are governed by the hidden semi-Markov process, which can better describe the asynchronous information between the controller modes and the system modes. Besides, time delays are considered to be time-varying and dependent on the hidden modes. By employing some mathematical transformation and constructing a novel Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional, some new parameter-dependent sufficient stabilization conditions can be obtained by designing an observed-mode-dependent static output-feedback controller.
