Abstract

The article features the Ben Arabi, a new supercomputer located in the region of Murcia in Spain. It serves research centers and private companies in Spain, and aims to increase productivity and competitiveness and to extend the geographical influence of all networks in Spain. It also looks at Ben Arabi as a tool to improve the collaboration between academia and industry, and intends to revitalize technology transfer and competitiveness in the regional economic system.
