Modern structure of financial services incorporates an extensive range of businesses related to money. The purpose of this research is to outline customer needs and intentions to enhance user experience in modern financial services by proposing methodology of developing customer groups in consolidated financial services. This study examines user context of consolidated financial services with methodology in extracting customer groups based on data collected through Day Reconstruction Method and Focus Group Interview. The collected data was analyzed through qualitative and quantitative approach, identifying various user contexts. This study illustrates the framework of extracting customer groups in consolidated financial services to enhance user experience in the evolving form of financial services.

This study investigates the difference in tactile sensory response when touching leathers under tactile-only and visuo-tactile environment. Total of 7 tactile variables for leathers were selected and utilized to investigate whether they derive significantly different tactile response by existence of visual interaction. As a result, affective variables of ‘rugged’, ‘elastic’, and ‘thick’ showed significant difference in response by varying context. Besides, the level of design variables also led the difference in tactile-only and visuo-tactile response. Increment in level of emboss spacing and young's modulus led larger difference between the two contexts, and thickness made difference in its all levels. Overall, it is possible to grasp the influence of visual interaction when evaluating the leathers for automobile interior, and verify the difference made by changes in design variables.

Since the comfort feeling and satisfaction of a toilet seat is important for the defecation, we investigated the design parameters and affective attributes for toilet seats, and developed the affective model that explains the level of customer satisfaction. To achieve, objective measurements of design parameters and total 19 number of relevant affective attributes including appropriateness of each design parameter were collected from literature review and user interview. Then, a subjective experiment was conducted on five different toilet seat samples. As a result, 6 factors of surface and fatigue, appropriateness of toilet size, accessibility, immaculateness, centroid, and physical tensity were revealed by factor analysis. An affective model for seat comfort was also developed by regression analysis, and the relationships between each factor and design parameters were investigated through correlation analysis. This study is expected to contribute in improvement of toilet seat comfort as a preliminary study.

An internal wideband antenna is proposed for newly promoted mobile applications. With the intrinsic longer wave length and the adjacent conventional communication channels of Cellular 800(824∼894MHz), LTE handsets would be recommended to cover from 704MHz to 894MHz for US service basically. If the manufacturers consider the compatible utility of conventional GSM scheme, The system should drive additional 136MHz bandwidth; 824MHz to 960MHz from the single antenna. Considering of that 30% wide bandwidth, the antenna should raise up its impedance capacitance for diverse wavelengths by novel designing of radiator and dielectric carrier within an allowed tradeoff with another performances. Despite the uncertainty of computational analysis, this simulation based preceding research explains the interrelations between core parameters in order to design the very wideband application well. The FDTD simulation platform SEMCAD was thoroughly employed for tuning and evaluating the antenna radiation performances.

The proposed LCP MMMB Wibro MIMO antenna has a good bandwidth (VSWR 3:1) performance at the band of Wibro1/Bluetooth and GPS/Wibro2. It is also got the average radiation efficiency more than 30% except Wibro1. However, it could be improved by a little antenna matching tuning on the mobile handset. This antenna can be also used switchable because of two signal lines.

A decision tree is a outstanding method for the data mining. In intrusion detection systems (IDSs), the data mining techniques are useful to detect the attack especially in anomaly detection. For the decision tree, we use the DARPA 98 Lincoln Laboratory Evaluation Data Set (DARPA Set) as the training data set and the testing data set. KDD 99 Intrusion Detection data set is also based on the DARPA Set. These three entities are widely used in IDSs. Hence, we describe the total process to generate the decision tree learned from the DARPA Sets. In this paper, we also evaluate the effective value of the decision tree as the data mining method for the IDSs, and the DARPA Set as the learning data set for the decision trees.

In the current specification of Proxy Mobile IPv6, there is no attempts for optimized authentication mechanism. In this paper, we propose a ticket-based authentication mechanism in where the security information are reused for fast authentication during mobile nodes hand off between different links. According to the performance evaluation, the proposed mechanism shows the improved performance up to 89.2% compared to EAP-TLS and Kerberos. In addition, we provide the validity of the proposed mechanism through BAN logic.

In this paper, we propose an adaptive inter- mobility supports scheme for Network-based Localized Mobility Management (NetLMM). The NetLMM approach uses Proxy Mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6) technique and employs a PMIP client to manage a mobile node (MN) within a local mobility domain (LMD). The distinguishing mark is that an MN does not need to have a mobility stack for mobility supports within the NetLMM approach. However, the NetLMM approach has not provided an inter-mobility, where the MN hands off between the LMDs. Thus, in this paper, we propose the adaptive inter-mobility supports scheme where an MN hands off between the LMDs even though the MN does not have the mobility stack. In the proposed scheme, the old LMA recognizes that the MN has been moved into a specific LMA and then the old LMA forwards the packets destined to the MN to the specific LMA. Thus, the proposed scheme provides a seamless handoff service and inter-mobility supports.

A service provider needs a AAA (authentication, authorization, accounting) architecture, because it is necessary to provide services to eligible users with the right authorities. The service provider also needs to charge the users on a commercial purpose. However, the current AAA architecture cannot support a mobile user (MU) sufficiently that moves far away from the AAAH. To provide delay-sensitive services such as VoIP, the delay, which occurred between the MU and the AAAH in the current AAA architecture should be shortened. On this paper, moving AAAH architecture (MAHA) is proposed to decrease the delay, so that the delay-sensitive service is provided stably. MAHA can also be used to prevent the communication delay from being unbearable. In MAHA, an AAAH sends the information of an MU to another AAA server that is closer from the MU when the delay exceeds the critical value. As the result of the decreased delay, no matter how long distance the MU moves, the mobility services and the delay-sensitive services are provided stably.

We have newly developed a unique 1TO type OSA (optical sub assembly) for a 1.25 Gbps bi-directional optical SFX (SFF, SFP) transceiver. The LD, PD, WDM mirror, and TIA (transimpedance amplifier) are all mounted on a 10 lead compact stem. This 1TO type OSA needs only one lens for TX and RX. We fabricated samples for evaluation and the results were good.

Mode-locked lasers are potentially viable in distribution of frequency reference signals in many distributed systems. Phase noise degradation of the reference signal distributed by a monolithically integrated electro-absorption (EA) modulator with multiple quantum well (MQW) laser diode is investigated. The FM noise degradation dependence on EA modulator bias voltage is correlated to pulse to pulse coherency time.
