An integrated prism sheet on quantum dot (QD) film with bridge patterns has been proposed to increase the optical efficiency of an LED backlight unit. The bridge patterns were designed, such that they not only extract the light trapped in a QD film but also change the optical path effectively toward the vertical direction. We verified our design concept and geometrical parameters by optical simulation, and fabricated the integrated optical sheet using a lithography and UV imprinting process. The simulation results show the luminance enhancement of 33.6% after applying the bridge patterns while keeping the same Commission Internationale de l’Éclairage (CIE) after careful controlling the concentration of QDs. Quantum dot (QD) nanocrystals dispersed in photoresist (PR) film was developed and applied to white organic light-emitting diode (OLED) to improve optical power of red color through down-converting of blue and green light. To integrate to white OLED display panel, the QD dispersed photoresist film was prepared in a thickness of 2 \mu\m with high concentration of QDs up to 30 wt%. QDs were dispersed successfully in PR with a matching of nonpolar characteristic for the ligands of QDs and PR as well as a careful mixing process of PR and QD dispersed solutions. We also realized the patterning of QD dispersed PR film with a stripe pattern of 60-\mu\m width without a residual layer. The experimental measurement after passing through a 30 wt% QD dispersed PR film and a red color filter in white OLED shows the enhancement of 40.2% in the optical power of red color compared to that from a conventional white OLED without QD dispersed PR film. This paper proposes an algorithm to analyze the magnetizing process of a new anisotropic bonded NdFeB permanent magnet (PM) which is magnetized by a capacitor discharge impulse magnetizing fixture. In the algorithm, the magnetic field analysis and the prediction of the residual magnetic flux density are achieved by using the transient finite element method (FEM) incorporating the scalar Jiles-Atherton (J-A) hysteresis model. The validity of the suggested method is demonstrated by applying to a 4-pole ring-type anisotropic bonded NdFeB PM and comparing the numerical results with the experiment ones. A powder-aligning-fixture of anisotropic bonded Nd-Fe-B magnetic powder is designed to make a 4-pole polar anisotropic ring-type permanent magnet (PM). Magnetic performance of anisotropic bonded Nd-Fe-B PM under various aligning magnetic field intensities was investigated through analyses using equivalent magnetic circuit and 2-D finite element method (FEM).
