Abstract

Because of the wide variety of wild fungi, it is so hard to distinguish whether it is edible or not that wild fungi poisoning incidents occur frequently. In order to help people effectively identify wild fungi species and reduce the occurrence of bromatoxism, a method for wild fungi classification based on the improved ResNet50 is proposed. The ResNet50 transfer learning model is used to reduce training time. Using the spatial pyramid pooling (SPP) layer, the network can use the original image with more detailed features for training, and retain the discriminative image features as much as possible. Besides, EvoNorm-S0 is used to solve the impact of the decreasing model accuracy with smaller batch size because of using the original image size to train the model. The improved model has an accuracy rate of 96.54%, which is 2.21% higher than the original ResNet50 network. The experimental results show that the proposed method has a better effect on wild fungi classification, which is better than the original model and the other four classic models. It has achieved a better recognition results and makes the practical application for wild fungi classification possible.

35. Low-Profile All-Textile Multiband Microstrip Circular Patch Antenna for WBAN Applications.

Abstract

A compact low-profile all-textile multiband antenna operating in the 2.45/5.8 GHz ISM bands, mobile WiMAX IEEE 802.16 2005 (3.3–3.4 GHz), and 5G sub-6 NR frequency band n77 (3.85–4.0 GHz) is proposed for wireless body-area network (WBAN) applications. Good broadside radiations are achieved by properly activating the inherent TM11, TM21, and TM31 modes of a circular patch antenna. An elliptical slot and a C-shaped slot are employed to tune the three modes to the desired operating frequencies. A rectangular slot is used to reduce undesirable depression in the 5.8 GHz radiation pattern. The proposed antenna is fabricated from a conductive fabric layer integrated onto a single layer of denim, making it extremely low-profile and suitable for wearable applications. It has an overall size of 60 × 60 × 1.17 mm (0.64 λg × 0.64 λg × 0.0125 λg at 2.45 GHz). The measured maximum realized gains and bandwidth at the four frequencies are −0.81, −2.81, −1.16, 2.83 dBi, and 90, 190, 230, 570 MHz, respectively. Test results show that when the antenna is placed on and bent around a human arm model, the reflection coefficient has only slight influence. Since the antenna adopts full ground plane structure, the SAR values are far below the EU standard of 2 W/kg limit. Abstract

Electric shared car systems have been introduced to a number of cities as a means of reducing traffic congestion and air pollution. There are two types of service: one-way and two-way service. In this paper, the objective is to optimize user demands and carsharing company profits, we investigate the ratio of one-way and two-way cars to satisfy the customers demands between two high-demand areas. First we propose a linear programming model. The revenue consists of customer charges and government subsidies. The cost consists of purchase and operating cost Second, we apply the model to a carsharing company called Xiaoming Travel in Hefei City, China. We consider round trips between two high demand areas, Xinqiao Airport and Mingzhu Square. We find maximal profit can be obtained when a proper ratio of one-way and two-way cars is provided. We also find the relocation rate and relocation coefficient influences the profit. Finally, we provide useful operational suggestions to decision makers of carsharing companies based on our results.

The selected indicators include the premiere box office, 360 index, days of film Screening, ratings on movie.Douban.com, etc. Finally, we take factor analysis and linear regression to predict and analyze film box office.

45. Development and Injury Analysis of a 3-Year-Old Child Abdominal Finite Element Model with Detailed Anatomy Structure

Abstract

Children are the vulnerable groups in traffic accidents, so understanding injury mechanism based on their physiological anatomy characteristics is very important for more effective prevention. The post-mortem human subjects are rarely used for biomechanical experiments due to regulatory and ethical concerns. Therefore, finite element (FE) modeling becomes a significant approach to inform tissue-level mechanical responses by exporting the strain or stress. This study provides a high biofidelity FE model of a 3-year-old child abdomen and it could be used to parametrically study the injury mechanism, which is very valuable to developing protection devices and proposing the injury criteria of children abdomen. In this research, a 3-year-old child abdominal finite element model with detailed anatomy structure is developed which consists of 273,322 nodes, 194,684 hexahedral solid elements, and 118,549 shell elements. A simulation test is implemented to validate the FE model according to the child cadaver tests conducted by Ouyang et al. The results show that the simulation curve of impact force-abdominal deformation is inside the corridor obtained from cadaveric experiment, which suggests a validity of FE Model. And then, the FE model is used to analyze the injury mechanism through rotating the impactor 30 degrees clockwise (-30°) and counterclockwise (+30°) respectively along the vertical direction of its velocity. The results indicate the sensitivity of internal organs to blunt impact through comparing the strains of different visceral organs and analyze their injury threshold when the crash by the impactor happens head-on or from the rotating angle of ±30°. Human abdomen is asymmetric so that the deformation location and degrees of damage will be different when it is struck from different directions. If the impactor strikes the child on the right side, the liver is much easier to get injured; if the abdomen is struck on the left side, the stomach and the spleen become most vulnerable. While if the impact happens head-on, the child's abdomen can bear the force evenly to effectively reduce the injury risks of different visceral parts.

Abstract

Input parallel output series Quasi-Z-source dc–dc converter is a promising option for fuel cell electrical vehicle applications for its features of low device stress and high voltage ratio. Besides, the interleaved structure can reduce the input current ripple which can extend the lifespan of fuel cell system. In order to achieve better dynamic and steady-state performance for the converter, a novel smooth super-twisting sliding mode control (STSMC) method is designed in this article. The proposed control strategy is realized by constructing a novel smooth switch function in the zero domain of STSMC which comprises the advantages of both smooth feedback control and nonsmooth feedback control. Compared with the conventional STSMC, it guarantees strong robustness while possesses better smoothness namely excellent steady-state performance. Finally, a 200-W prototype has been created and described in detail. Simulation and experimental results validate the effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
