At most time, supply chain is a hybrid dynamic system composed of continuous material flow, discrete information flow and their interaction. Traditional method of modeling and simulation of supply chain looking supply chain as discrete event system can’t reflect systemic dynamic complexity. In this paper, two kinds of order decision-making simulation model of supply chain, discrete model and discrete-continuous hybrid model are built with system dynamics and discrete state chart using the software AnyLogic. Inventory levels of manufacturer and distributor under traditional inventory strategy and VMI strategy are studied. Simulation results show that hybrid model describes bullwhip effect of supply chain different from discrete model, that is the bullwhip effect exhibiting higher inventory level of supply chain upstream enterprise in discrete-continuous combined modeling while exhibiting higher inventory fluctuation of supply chain upstream enterprise in discrete model and can simulates the process of system evolvement caused by adaptive agent’s evolutionary learning greatly.

The stress fields in a steel bridge girder under cyclic loads were calculated by elastic-plastic finite element method. It is shown that the load application on the pre-stressed component produces a reassessment of the stress field and, in particular,a relaxation of the maximum stress; the relaxation process is almost limited to the first cycle; the degree of the residual stress relaxation is mainly controlled by the cyclic loading with the largest amplitude under variable amplitude loading. Based on the laws above, the shakedown behavior of steel girder under moving train load was analyzed and the redistributed residual stress field was acquired.

Supply chain systems are hybrid dynamic systems composed of continuous elements such as supply, production, distribution performed by supplier, manufacturer, distributor, discrete element such as transportation, demand performed by logistics company, consumer. Traditional method of modeling supply chain looking supply chain as discrete event system or continuous time system canpsilat reflect dynamic character or random character. A hybrid Petri nets model of supply chain is developed with a discrete-continuous combined modeling approach in this paper. Global conflicts are solved by solving multi-object programming model. Local conflicts are solved by setting fixed rate and local priority. Through solving optimal firing speed of continuous transitions in hybrid Petri nets model, optimal capacity combination is obtained under the uncertainty condition of consumer demand, waster rate of production and transportation disruption.

Supply chain is a hybrid dynamic system composed of continuous elements (production, saleroom etc.) and discrete elements (transportation, ordering etc.). Traditional method of modeling and simulating supply chain looking supply chain as discrete event system can't reflect systemic dynamic complexity. This research applies discrete-continuous combined modeling approach to simulate adaptive supply chain in the software any logic platform. Two simulation models were built, one of which is the traditional structure and the other is a vendor managed inventory structure. The supply chains are modeled in continuous time for a 3-echelon supply chain to compare the traditional structure with a VMI structure in terms of finished goods inventory levels of the manufacturer and the distributor when transportation is disrupted. Simulation results show that a VMI structure is better than the traditional structure when transportation disruption occurs.
