This study investigates the impulsive stabilization problem of positive systems with time-varying delays. A new time-varying weighted copositive Lyapunov function is constructed. Sufficient stabilization conditions on the upper and lower bounds of impulsive intervals are established using the convex combination technique. Under the proposed conditions, the positivity and exponential stability of the corresponding closed-loop system can be guaranteed. Based on the linear programming (LP) technique, a systematic design procedure is presented for the impulsive controller. Finally, a numerical example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the theoretical result.

This paper presents AFDD, an automatic fault detection daemon for high availability computing. First we compare two mainstream fault detection mechanisms which are commonly used by multiple hot standby systems and figure out their advantages and disadvantages. Next we combined the existing two prevalent technologies together: (1) RASdaemon real-time fault detection tools, (2) automatic bug report tools in Red Hat. Performance experiments show that AFDD has significant advantages in real-time error handling and is also user friendly.

Over the last decade, with the increasing performance and programmability of Graphics processing unit (GPU), these units have evolved from specialty hardware to massively parallel general computation devices. Simulation of neutron transport plays an important role in national economical construction and large-scale computing in science and engineering. MC (Monte Carlo) simulation of neutron transport owns great advantage over the determined methods to solve some complex types of particle transport. It is the disadvantage that the computational complexity of MC method is very huge. Due to the independence of samples in MC simulation, the algorithm of MC simulation is in principle well-suited to run on highly parallel GPU. However, the complexities of MC simulation of deep penetration particle transport bring serious difficulties in designing a GPU-based algorithm. We present an algorithm based GPU for MC deep penetration particle transport, in which a particle number based task decomposition method and high efficiency parallel data structure are proposed to match with the underlying GPU architecture. Results demonstrate that with the same computational accuracy as MCNP, MCNP-GPU referred to as MCNP integrated with our algorithm on M2050 achieves 3.53-fold and 7.26-fold speedup respectively by compared with MCNP running on X5670 and X5355.

There are several distributed power sources exist in the microgrid system, they have reversible trend power-flow characters; Influenced by the fault current restrictions of inverter, the amplitude of fault current is small, so the traditional over current protection of radioactive electric distribution network is no longer suitable. This paper make use of multipoint information, meanwhile combine the variations of voltage parameters and the direction of the power before and after fault, to realize fault area judgment, fault point resection and some other functions. This paper takes laboratory-microgrid for the research object, do simulation analysis to the detect of voltage under dq rotating coordinate system and establish the switch-branch associated matrix, and obtain the fault area and tripping operation information by matrix operation. Theoretical analysis shows that this method can complete the relay protection task whether microgrid is running under parallel operation status or islanding operation status.

Arsenic exposure from drinking water was considered to be a risk factor for skin lesions. In our research, the total arsenic in water and urine samples were analyzed by ICP-MS and AFS, respectively, Arsenic concentration in drinking water was 4.04–720μg/L, and there were 63.49% (80/126) samples above 50μg/L. Urinary total arsenic concentration was 6.51–775.73μg/gCr. Spearman rank correlation was used to analyze the strength of association between arsenic in drinking water and in urine(r=0.686, p< 0.05). The level of iron in drinking water was ranged from 0 to 6.46mg/L, and there were 18.4%(23/125) iron levels exceeding 0.5mg/L We observed the strong association between arsenic in drinking water and in urine, and dose-dependent increase in risk of skin lesions with increasing arsenic exposure. Especially, at lower levels of arsenic exposure(10–50μg/L), the effect of arsenic induced skin lesions was still observed. Iron and arsenic in the arsenic poisoning proceeding might exist combined effect.

In this paper, the e-business patterns of B2B2C for the small and medium enterprises are introduced. Then the paper brings forward the logistics operation patterns which are applied within this e-business pattern. Finally, the logistics operation pattern which is suitable for the small and medium enterprises is concluded based on the analysis of the cost of the different two logistics operation patterns.

As one strategy of power management, microgrid has the special superiorities on not only improving power quality but also relieving the pressure on energy and environment. To carry out experiment and research, a small laboratory-scale microgrid system with energy storage device, single phase and three-phase photovoltaic devices and wind power devices are planned to build. Fault current in the microgrid system is limited by using of the distributed sources equipped by power electronic device. So the traditional relay no longer works. By determining the fault occurrence and fault zone according to bus bar voltage disturbances and power directions, the protection system can play an outstanding role in both grid-connected operation mode and islanded operation mode. The structure and control strategy of the microgrid experimental system and relay protection principle are described in this paper. Also, the relay protection system hardware and software have been designed based on industrial personal computer (IPC). Experimental results have shown that the protection system can operate safely according to requirements.

Decision service is a mechanism for publishing rules and rule sets as a reusable service that can be invoked from multiple business processes. To meet the goals of a successful SOA implementation, enterprises need to consider how they make provision for decision services. This paper presents how enterprises move to a new SOA approach which leverages with Decision Service. Firstly, the architecture of enhancing SOA flexibility with decision service is provided. Then, a novel solution about distributed service oriented business rule engine framework is provided to help the enterprise resolve the complex and dynamic changes. And business rules enforcement pattern in business process are also introduced in this paper. Finally, one business scenario is provided to demonstrate how decision services enhance the SOA flexibility.

Collision detection in Vega Prime is based on the simple line segment, and collision detection based on bounding box is not realized. By studying the composition of three-dimensional object, we define a collision detection class, which inherits from vpIsector. After finding out all vertices of geometry in object, we connect these vertices one by one and constitute a trend line. The trend line constitutes our bounding box. Now, our collision detection is based on three-dimensional objects, but not the simple line segment. Additionally, we can expand x, y, z in all vertices in proportion and achieve early warning mechanism in virtual reality

Cluster is a favorable location of knowledge diffusing and creating. The focal firm’s strategy can both influence and be affected by the inter-firm relationships and knowledge transfer which take place within the cluster. By an analysis framework for knowledge transfer, the text explains the role of a focal firm in the evolution of a cluster and analyses how a focal firm in cluster can modify the knowledge nature and adopt different types of supply relationship to control the range of knowledge diffuse and increase the effectiveness of knowledge transfer. Then, the text constructs an interpretative model. According to the model, the text analyses the evolution of the relationships between the focal firm and its suppliers.

This paper presented and discussed a new electrochemical analysis method FARSA (frequency and amplitude response spectroscopy analyzing), which can be applied to qualitatively and quantitatively analyze material's properties and concentration with certain methods of chemometrics, and introduced the system and functional structure of FARSA. Principal component analysis (PCA) was used to the identification and authenticity of identification of four brands of purified drinking water and three brands of mineral drinking water. The results showed that it can clearly classify different brands of water and the pseudo-sample. Additionally, a quantitative method based on LM-BP artificial neural nets was used to detect the COD concentration of wastewater with a good fitting and forecast accuracy.

This work describes a method of background updating and shadow removal for indoor surveillance. Moving objects can be precisely extracted for various further process procedures such as recognition. Single-Gaussian model which has high computational speed is usually applied to the indoor environment with motionless backgrounds. The pixels of an image are classified as background pixels, moving foreground pixels and motionless foreground pixels, and the Single-Gaussian background model is updated according to the classification of a pixel. The proposed scheme makes the background model respond to environmental changes in time. With the ratio between the foreground pixel value and the background pixel value, pixels are distinguished among foreground, background and shadow. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated with experiments in an indoor environment.

The fast nose-point control of a fighter is researched in the frame of Integrated Control System with a multi-strata hierarchical structure. Based on the relationship between nose pointing rate and attitude angle, the nose pointing command including the normal load command and bank angle command is got to make the nose fast point to the expected direction by introducing the expecting nose pointing model. The actuator-allocation controller is designed as the maneuvering command tracker to execute the given command. Then, the nose pointing control is applied to the air to air gunnery mode of Integrated Flight/Fire Control in which the fast nose pointing control is the most important. The simulation result shows that the control methodology of nose pointing can fast eliminate the error of aiming.

A promising high k material, lanthanum aluminum oxynitride (LAON), with excellent material and electronic properties is reported. The LAON film has good thermal stability and CMOS process compatibility at 1000 C. The LAON material has a dielectric constant of above 20, bandgap of 6.6 eV. Well-behaved I-V and C-V were obtained for 80 A LAON on silicon.

The multi-target fuzzy decision process is valid in the choice of a product's overall design scheme in the early stage of the concurrent engineering design, however, according to this method, a trivial process must be followed. Following the neural-network (NN) study method, we can validly judge the quality of the other schemes of the same product after learning the results of the fuzzy decision. The validity of the NN learning method is proved in the early stage decision of CIMS.

After a systematic review of the Ant System (AS) algorithm research and application status, it is introduced into function optimization (Rosenbrock function optimization) in multi-dimension continuous space. A corresponding algorithm is defined and good simulation results are derived, thus the potential of the AS algorithm's application to optimization problems in continuous space is proved. Finally, the applicability of AS in continuous space optimization problems solving are summarized.

This paper presents a novel approach for the segmentation and recognition of the on-line vocalized outlines of Pitman shorthand. Due to its low redundancy, the recognition of the Pitman Shorthand requires high-performance outline segmentation and stroke classification. Our approach includes (1) the segmentation of the vocalized outlines, including the detection of over-segmentation using a neural network, (2) the recognition of Pitman shorthand consonant signs using another neural network, and (3) the word recognition based on the estimation of the overall confidence on the stroke classification. Experimental results on a small test set containing 68 most frequently used English words are reported in the paper. The average accuracy on these test words can reaches 89.6% by using our approach.
