Abstract

Fuzzy quantifiers in fuzzy logic are considered as elements of a set in which the complementary operation is defined. The authors formally introduce fuzzy quantifiers into fuzzy logic, particularly in operator fuzzy logic (OFL), and propose the concept of fuzzy unification of the terms defined on the fuzzy sets. By using fuzzy unification the authors obtain a complete resolution method in OFL with fuzzy quantifiers. >

Abstract

The meaning of fuzzy reasoning and its interpretation in operator fuzzy logic are discussed. It is shown that some theorems that cannot be proved with the conventional resolution method can be proved with lambda -resolution. Examples are given to illustrate the reasoning mechanism using lambda -resolution. >
