Abstract

The article discusses a research study on composition and milk production of crossbreed cows and how they are affected by herbal feed supplement Shatavari of Asparagus racemosus. Study subjects include 10 Kara Fries crossbreed cows and supplementation of Shatavari in their feed intake during the prepartum and postpartum periods without affecting dry matter intake (DMI). Results showed Shatvari root powder supplementation improved milk production, the composition and live body weight of cows.
