Several letters to the editor are presented in response to articles in previous issues such as the support for the initiative to save the historic Farmhouse of the Carlisle Indian Industrial School and the Great American Cleanup events to be conducted by the Keep America Beautiful on Earth Day.

The article reports on the effort of Ellen Pfeiffer, a Jamestown resident, in designing and sewing a quilt in remembrance of students of Carlisle Indian Industrial School in Carlisle, Pennsylvania who had passed away. It states that these students traveled from across the U.S. to attend Carlisle Indian Industrial School to learn foreign culture. It notes that the quilt sewn represent of a child whose gravestone resides at the school last called home.
