Bacterioferritin comigratory protein family 1 Cys peroxiredoxin from Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (CLaBCP) is an important antioxidant defense protein that participates in the reduction of ROS, free radicals, and peroxides. In the present study, we report the biochemical studies and in silico screening of potent antibacterial molecules against CLaBCP. The CLaBCP showed enzymatic activity with the Km value 54.43, 94.34, 120.6 µM, and Vmax of 59.37, 69.37, 70.0 µM min−1 for H2O2, TBHP, CHP respectively. The residual peroxidase activity of CLaBCP was analyzed at different ranges of pH and temperatures. The CLaBCP showed structural changes and unfolding in the presence of its substrates and guanidinium chloride by CD and fluorescence. The structure-based drug design method was employed to screen and identify the more efficient molecule against CLaBCP. The validated CLaBCP model was used for the virtual screening of potent antibacterial molecules. The docking was performed at CLaBCP active site to evaluate the binding energy of the top five molecules (LAS 34150849, BDE 33184869, LAS 51497689, BDE 33672484, and LAS 34150966). All identified molecule has a higher binding affinity than adenanthin analyzed by molecular docking. Molecular dynamics studies such as RMSD, Rg, SASA, and PCA results showed that the CLaBCP inhibitor(s) complex is more stable than the CLaBCP-adenanthin complex. MMPBSA results suggested that the identified molecule could form a lower energy CLaBCP-inhibiter(s) complex than the CLaBCP-adenanthin complex. In this article, the regeneration (drying) and mathematical modelling of moisture ratio of a novel composite desiccant using the Scheffler solar concentrator have been proposed. The regeneration performance is significantly affected by solar radiation, the surface temperature of the desiccant, atmospheric wind speed and initial moisture content. The changes in mass and drying parameters are recorded at an interval of every 10 min. Drying curve obtained from the experimental data is fitted to 12 drying models to explain the behaviour of the novel composite desiccant drying. The Midilli and Kucuk model is the best descriptive model in this case with a coefficient of correlation (R) of 0.9942, and a root mean square error analysis of 0.03124. It takes 100 min in the saturated regeneration of the novel composite under subjected conditions and 15.97% weight reduction is achieved.

This article proposes a new multi-objective non-linear optimization problem for secure bilateral transaction determination using AC distribution factors for pool and bilateral coordinated markets. The new multi-objective optimization problem considers minimization of deviations from scheduled transactions and real power losses in the network. The bilateral transaction matrix and generation pattern has been determined in the presence of optimally located unified power-flow controller. The results have also been compared with the secure bilateral transaction determination, minimizing only deviations from the proposed transactions. The proposed technique has been applied on an IEEE 24-bus reliability test system.

In the competitive electricity environment, a large number of transactions are expected to be negotiated, which can compromise the system security and reliability. A rapid and general one-pot method is described for the attachment of the leader nucleoside onto the polymer supports, suitable for polymer supported oligonucleotide synthesis following oxidation-reduction condensation. The method can also be used for support functionalisation in fully automated DNA synthesizer prior to oligonucleotide synthesis.

A rapid method is described for the covalent anchoring of appropriately protected 2′-deoxyribonucleoside-3′-O-succinates to LCAA-CPG, widely used support for solid phase oligonucleotide synthesis. The method involves the reaction of nucleoside-3′-O-succinates with aminoalkyl functions of the support in the presence of improved and commercially available condensing reagent, TBTU or TPP-DTNP to generate fully functionalised polymer supports with excellent nucleoside loadings.
