The article reports on the acceptance of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and XBRL business reporting language in Latin America. Most countries have moved toward or already adopted the International Accounting Standards. Analysts speculate that the convergence on one global set of standards will have numerous implications throughout the world.
