Abstract
This article explores the utilization of discourses by which companies and business associations in New Zealand attempt to influence public policy and legitimize their handling of the global risk. In 1992, the International Panel on Climate Change wrote in its Third Assessment report that most of the increase in global temperatures observed over the last 50 years is likely to have been due to the increase in greenhouse gas concentrations from human activities.
