The main aim of this paper is hardware platform design for Zigbee network. Platform includes various types of physical sensors e.g. pressure, humidity, temperature and others can be connected via connector. Paper also describes estimation of an energy consumption and software design for this platform. Finally, paper gives review about available software for IEEE 802.15.4 and Zigbee implementaion., Cieľom článku je popis návrhu hardvérovej platformy pre realizáciu Zigbee siete. Platforma obsahuje senzory tlaku, vlhkosti, teploty a pripojenie dalších senzorov je možné pomocou konektoru. Článok v krátkosti pojednáva aj odhade energetickej spotreby a o princípoch návrhu softvéru pre túto platformu. Článok ďalej oboznamuje čitateľa s dostupným softvérom pre implementáciu IEEE 802.15.4 a Zigbee.
