Single-photon nonlinearity effect can be greatly amplified using a thermal light meter. The change of the meter light is just induced by postselection. Large postselection probability can be obtained when the mean photon number of the thermal light is large. A similar reduction phenomenon is revealed, and the large-probability enhancement phenomenon is also found. This scheme can be realized via electromagnetically induced transparency.
