The energy-saving reconstruction of existing rural residential buildings can not only improve the living environment of rural residents, but also achieve energy conservation and emission reduction of the construction industry and sustainable development. At present, the energy-saving reconstruction of existing rural residential buildings has become a topic of global concern. Many countries begin to pay attention to the energy-saving reconstruction of existing rural residential buildings and begin to formulate relevant policies and regulations. Based on the analysis of the construction situation about the existing rural residential buildings, this study expounds the difficulties of the energy-saving reconstruction of existing rural residential buildings, and puts forward corresponding suggestions, so as to realize the development of the energy-saving construction of the residential buildings in the villages and towns.

The green construction of high-quality settlement buildings is related to the people’s life, the integrity of the government and social stability. Accelerating the construction of high-quality settlement buildings is helpful to promote the harmonious development of society. This study first expounds the significance of promoting the green construction of high-quality settlement buildings, then analyzes three major problems in the construction process of settlement buildings based on the data of previous research, and on this basis puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions to promote the sustainable development of high-quality settlement buildings construction.

In order to make a global assessment on the modification effect of existing old residential areas in hot summer and warmer winter zone, an improved fuzzy comprehensive evaluation (FCE) model of old residential building modification is established based on the aspects of structural safety and architectural appearance, indoor comfort system, outdoor environment, public service facilities, building equipment efficiency and operation management, etc. Analytic hierarchy process is used to determine the weights of evaluation factors at all levels. And the model is used to evaluate the modification effect of the old residential buildings in Xiamen city. The evaluation result shows feasibility of this modification method on the old residential building. The evaluation grade of this area’s modification can be assessed as “Good”, which can provide a reference for the modification of the old residential areas with hot summer and warm winter. Measures, such as increasing government financial input, institutionalized ways to tracking energy consumption, popularization of energy-saving awareness, should be taken for the modification.

The scalable synthesis of two-dimensional (2D) hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) is of great interest for its numerous applications in novel electronic devices. Highly-crystalline h-BN films, with single-crystal sizes up to hundreds of microns, are demonstrated via a novel Ni foam assisted technique reported here for the first time. The nucleation density of h-BN domains can be significantly reduced due to the high boron solubility, as well as the large specific surface area of the Ni foam. The crystalline structure of the h-BN domains is found to be well aligned with, and therefore strongly dependent upon, the underlying Pt lattice orientation. Growth-time dependent experiments confirm the presence of a surface mediated self-limiting growth mechanism for monolayer h-BN on the Pt substrate. However, utilizing remote catalysis from the Ni foam, bilayer h-BN films can be synthesized breaking the self-limiting effect. This work provides further understanding of the mechanisms involved in the growth of h-BN and proposes a facile synthesis technique that may be applied to further applications in which control over the crystal alignment, and the numbers of layers is crucial., Comment: 18 pages, 7 figures

Since the reform and opening policy, the construction of rural area in China has become more and more important. The idea of establishing green villages needs to be accepted and recognized by the public. The hot summer and cold winter zone combines two contradictory weather conditions that is cold winter and hot summer. So the living conditions are limited. In response to this climate, residents extensively use electric heaters or air conditioning to adjust the indoor temperature, resulting in energy waste and environmental pollution. In order to improve the living conditions of residents, rural area energy conservation has been put on the agenda. Based on the present situation and energy consumption analysis of the rural buildings in the hot summer and cold winter zone, this article puts forward several energy saving paths from government, construction technology and so on
