The article presents an analysis on literary works related to terrorism. The author mentions the short story "The Last Days of Muhammad Atta," by Martin Amis and the novel "Terrorist," by John Updike. He suggests that both authors have faced difficulties in condensing the abstract ideology of insurgency. Islamist fanaticism and radicalism are evident in both literary works. He then describes the literary style of both writers in dealing with Islamic terrorism.
