- Abstract
This study was carried out to determine the difficulties experienced by social workers working in the field of children in need of protection, in the process of transferring their professional roles to the field. The sample group of the study consists of 31 social workers working in the field of children in need of protection in 13 provinces from 7 regions of Turkey (Adana, Ankara, Artvin, Çankırı, Diyarbakır, Erzincan, İstanbul, İzmir, Malatya, Manisa, Samsun, Yalova and Yozgat). The qualitative method was used in the research. In-depth interview, participatory observation and document review methods were preferred in data collection. Obtained results; titled with thematic "The Effect of the Institution/Organization Environment on the Practice of Professional Roles, Laws and Regulations, Cultural Differences, Security Issues and Supervision". As a result of the research, it was understood that social workers could not adequately transfer their professional roles to the field. Various suggestions were made to support the experts' transfer of their professional roles to the field. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
