Abstract

The article focuses on a study on the effects of the application of the roller massager on quadriceps and knee-joint range of motion (ROM). It states that roller massaging led to increase in the knee joint ROM after 60 seconds, as compared to massaging after 20 seconds. It also reports that roller massaging for 60 seconds resulted in higher degree of feeling of pain, than the massaging for 20 seconds. It mentions roller massage is painful and induced muscle activity.
