In this paper, we designed and fabricated a ultra-wideband(UWB) bandpass filter with a good performance of a stopband, and a notched band in passband. The transformed equivalent circuit of the highpass filter was realized by distributed element. A wide-passband with 3-dB fractional bandwidth of more than 100 % was achieved by using optimum response of the HPF. For improving lower and upper stopband characteristic, a cross coupling between feed lines was employed, which was analyzed by desegmentation technique. In order to reject interference of Wireless LAN and Hyper LAN(5.15~5.825 GHz), the narrow notched(rejection) band was realized by a spurline. The fabricated BPF indicated the passband from 3.1 to 10.55 GHz and the flat group delay of less than 0.94 ns over the entire passband except the rejection band. The filter shown sharp attenuation both inside and outside the band and notched band from 5.2 to 6.12 GHz.

In this paper, we extract the parasitic elements of the transmission line with the defected ground structure(DGS) and the short-circuited comb line section using the Short-Open Calibration(SOC). The scattering matrixes of short, open and the distributed elements in microstrip line are measured by full electro-magnetic(EM) simulator and Vector Network Analyser(VNA). The electro-magnetic effects of the proposed structures are considered by the II and T equivalent circuits with frequency independent elements, and the relations between the measured scattering parameters and the elements in the circuits are shown by performing 2 port network analysis. Moreover, to design the 2.4 GHz bandpass filter with second order butterworth prototype, the proposed methods are applied. As results, the measured and indicate -20 dB and -1.3 dB at center frequency, and these are shown within 5 % error compare to the predicted results at .

In this paper, design and fabrication of the LPF with controllable four transmission zeros using electric coupling and added open stub is presented. Pass-band of the LPF is GSM band, and two transmission zeros are generated by the electric coupling at the WiBro and S-DMB band, And the other two transmission zeros are generated by the open stub at the upper frequencies. Harmonic frequency of the stop-band is suppressed by the realization of the filter using quasi-lumped element with small parasitic values. , which is the electric coupling element of the equivalent circuit, is realized by the distance control between the open stubs of the filter structure. The fabricated LPF used teflon substrate with relative permittivity of 2.6. And it has a size of , which is including a feed line. The measured 3 dB cut-off frequency is 1.55 GHz, and locations of the transmission zeros are 2.20, 2.43, 4.11 and 6.84 GHz, respectively.
