Comments on methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase gene polymorphism as a risk factor for diabetic nephropathy in patients with NIDDM. Comparison of genotype distribution and allele frequencies; Suggestion there is no association between MTHFR gene polymorphism and micoalbuminuria; Possible association of MTHFR with progression of nephropathy by aggravating renal vascular injury.
