In this paper we will analyze and compare the potential effects the integration and full implementation of the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA), Area de Libre Comercio de las Americas (ALCA), will have on income distribution and domestic environmental policy in the United States and Argentina. In conducting this analysis we will utilize studies done on the impact the full implementation of NAFTA has had on such policies in Canada, Mexico and the United States. In the interest of clarity and depth of research, we will pick specific aspects of these themes (environmental policy and income distribution) and develop predictions of the effects of them, as a result of the FTAA, on various communities in Argentina and the United States. ..PAT.-Conference Proceeding [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
