This study has been designed to examine the digitalization of resources in academic libraries in Pakistan. The world continues its flow of digitalization through the internet such as people starting jobs online, online selling and purchasing businesses, online shares, and investment during the time of Coronavirus. Hence, the digitalization of libraries has no exemption. A purposive sampling technique has been employed to select 16 participants (8 students and 8 library professionals) from the academic library of the University of Gujrat. Further, an interview guide has been developed to conduct case studies. The data collection process takes place within ten working days. Similarly, the data has been presented as a thematic analysis and discussion has been made accordingly to conclude. The study findings conclude that academic libraries digitalize their resources for the smooth running of academic activities for the library patrons including AV aids, e-books, e-journals, online databases, online library services, e-resources, internal facilities, online discussion forums, online queries, and provisional material online. More than seventy online studies were reviewed to identify awareness, usage, satisfaction, and challenges of using information resources and services in academic libraries by users. The main objective of this study is to review the literature on information resources and services regarding awareness, usage, impact, challenges, satisfaction levels of users of various academic libraries. The study includes research papers published in national and international journals and other sources available on the internet. A review of various studies revealed that users use library resources and services for various purposes. Studies reveal that most users are satisfied with print resources, but they face problems while accessing online resources due to lack of skills to use these resources. Most students today rely on online resources, but a lack of training prevents them from getting the information they need. Most of the studies have suggested that the library should play an important role in providing information literacy program and user studies at regular intervals in their institutions to provide better library and information services to the users. The study aimed to understand the present scenario of the Islamic University of Technology (IUT) Library, including service strength, resources, user expectations, etc. The researcher also tried to identify its use of it. User's expectations and identifies the loopholes. A formal questionnaire was formed and distributed to the final-year students who completed graduation last academic year (May. 2022). Recent, relevant articles are also reviewed to strengthen the research. SWOT analysis is also done., IUT Library has been using around twenty-five different country uses, and their needs and expectations vary. Based on the output using the Excel diagram, the researcher found 40.76% of the user comes to the library for reading room use and are more interested in other things. Less priority, highest priority, drawbacks, etc., identified. University library professionals will be encouraged to evaluate their resources and user needs. This paper may help to develop library systems and services that libraries can develop based on the user's needs. A case study was conducted to evaluate the users' level of satisfaction with the Pontifical Institute of Theology and Philosophy, Alwaye (PIA) Library at Mangalapuzha Campus. The respondents were the resident seminarians of St. Joseph Pontifical Seminary, Alwaye and they belonged to the faculty of theology and philosophy. A total of 152 responses were received with a response rate of 86.86%. The study concluded that the overall satisfaction of respondents with the library resources and services was 76%. Results showed that the majority of the respondents satisfied with library timings and visited the library for the purpose of referring to books and journals. The reference section of the library was the most relied on the area and the encyclopedia collection was the most relied on resources. The results of this study would help both the PIA administration and St. Joseph Pontifical Seminary authority to take serious steps to strengthen and improve the resources and services. This study investigated user perceptions and challenges associated with accessing and utilizing electronic resources at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), including their implications for remote users. Using a quantitative research approach and survey methodology, the study involved 1,680 participants: 1,513 students, 140 academic staff, and 27 academic librarians. Employing a combination of probability (stratified random and systematic) and nonprobability (purposive) sampling ensured comprehensive representation. Participants completed self-administered closed-ended questionnaires distributed through online platforms, primarily Google Forms. Data collected underwent thorough analysis using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). Findings indicated that the NOUN library offers access to electronic resources such as journals and books. However, the overall perception of these resources by NOUN library users was below average. Both the library and users faced challenges like electricity outages and sluggish internet connectivity speed while accessing or utilizing electronic resources. Recommendations highlight the importance of library management creating awareness programs using modern communication tools. Furthermore, integrating electronic resource usage into the university's curriculum is suggested. This research explored user perceptions and challenges related to electronic resource access and usage at the National Open University of Nigeria. The dynamic nature of the library users of today and changing research environment require the library to improve its resources and services for its users' community. This study investigated the use of library resources and services by Postgraduate (PG) students in a specialized university - Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun (FUPRE) in Nigeria. The study adopted a descriptive survey design with a total population of 438 registered PG students of 2020/2022 academic session comprising PGD, Masters and PhD. The instrument for data collection was a structured questionnaire. The study revealed that majority of PG students visited the library most on monthly and quarterly basis while less percentage visited weekly and daily. The findings also showed that the attraction of the PG students to the library were to: study for examination, consult librarians, follow up lectures, read books, read newspapers/magazine, access offline e-resources and databases among others. The resources used most by the PG students were offline e-journal, e-books, textbooks, reference materials, theses/dissertations and periodicals. Furthermore, there was evidence in the findings that services used most were circulation service, reference service, reprographic service and Internet service among others. Some of the problems hindering their use of the library were: lack of orientation, inadequate awareness, inadequate ICT training, lack of literacy skill and poor internet connectivity. The study concluded that library management in FUPRE and other universities around the world should endeavour to identify all the factors affecting the effective use of the library by the PG students to enable thems have a rewarding research experience. This study investigated the influence of librarians' attitude toward cataloguing and classification in academic libraries. Academic library is the heartbeat of a higher institution of learning. Without an academic library, students, researchers, staff might find it very difficult to study and conduct effective and efficient research. All information resources in academic libraries are expected to be catalogued and classified by librarians/cataloguers with standard classification schemes which would bring all the related books together. The attitude of librarians toward cataloguing and classification can be positive or negative. Positive in the essence that they tend to enjoy or like cataloguing and classification, understand its value, and have confidence in it. However, librarians with a negative attitude toward cataloguing and classification tend to dislike it, and feel afraid to engage in it. The attitude of librarians toward cataloguing and classification would be determined whether the library information resources in the academic libraries would be catalogued or not. If librarians develop a positive attitude toward cataloguing and classification, all the library information resources in an academic library would be catalogued, classified, organized, arranged and shelved in order for the library users to make use of them. But if librarians develop a negative attitude toward cataloguing and classification, some of library information resources might not be catalogued or wrongly catalogued where they would not be useful for the users. The study examined information resources and security challenges at Niger Delta University, Bayelsa State, Nigeria. Four research questions guided the study. A descriptive survey design was used by the researcher. The population of the study comprised 53 library staff, and the purposive sampling techniques were used to determine the sample size which is 30. The questionnaire was the instrument used for data collection and was validated by the supervisor. Cronbach Alpha was used to establish the reliability of the instrument which yielded 0.85. Data were analysed with frequency count, and simple percentages, and Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) version 23 was used to generate the mean, and standard deviation. The findings revealed that textbooks, serials, and reference materials were the most vulnerable information resources to security challenges and that book theft, non-return of library materials, tearing of book pages, book pages stained, torn, and stolen among others were some of the common security violations. The findings also established that lack of photocopying machines, financial constraints of libraries, and lack of adequate punishment to serve as deterrent among others were the causes of security challenges and that CCTV, library written security policy to guide staff and users, monitoring of users by library staff while using library resources, introduction of photocopying services in the library, staff security within and outside the library and security guards deployment to patrol the library reading room were some of strategies put in place to curb security challenges in the NDU library. Based on the findings, the researchers recommended that the library management should continue to ensure that the library information resources are properly secured and that the library should enlighten library users on the need to observe the library rules and regulations and on the preservation and conservation of library resources. The study investigated the usage of university library-based electronic resources by undergraduates at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, and Ondo State. Nigeria. The study design was a descriptive survey. Data was collected through questionnaires. The study population comprises undergraduates who visited the university electronic library during the 2020/2021 academic session. One hundred and fifty (150) copies of the questionnaire were administered, and 130 were retrieved giving a response rate of 86.7%. The data were analyzed using frequency count and percentages. The findings of the study revealed that the majority of the respondents were female. The majority of the respondents use university library electronic resources twice a week, class assignments and preparation of class seminars were the primary purposes of university-based electronic resources usage, and access to comprehensive information and access to current data/information were the main reasons for a university library based electronic resources usage. Interrupted power supply and slow access speed were the significant challenges militating against university library-based electronic resource usage. It is recommended that the University library should acquire electronic resources that are relevant to the student's needs in order to attract library users and provide effective information delivery, provision of solar power system that will supply electricity round the clock to the university library, and increase in internet bandwidth to provide fast internet services among other. This study was designed to examine the utilization of library resources by lecturers in Nigerian tertiary institutions using lecturers Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) as case study. The specific objectives of the study is to find out the level of availability of library materials in Nigerian university, and determine the extent of use of the materials by lecturers. It is also to find out the factors that impede lecturers use of the library. Descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study. The population for the study consisted all the full time lecturers made up of 536 females and 298 males lecturers of ESUT numbering 834 as at the time of the study. Purposive sampling techniques was used to draw a sample 153 (102 female and 51 male) lecturers from the population. Five research questions guided the study. Frequency counts and mean scores were used to answer the research questions. Findings from the study revealed that there are many library resources such as books, journals, bulletin, transactions and proceedings, research monographs, research reports patents, technical bulletin, price lists, data sheets, dissertations, indexes/abstracts, biographies, gazetteers, dictionaries, and encyclopedias amongst others, and that lecturers use the library mainly for consultation of books and reference materials. They also use it for research purpose and borrowing of books. A major findings was also that lecturers utilized books more than any other source of information. A number of recommendations were put forward for improvement of library use but the most prominent suggestion was that more up to date and relevant information sources should be acquired for the library, and that the library should be properly funded. The introduction of assistive resources within academic libraries in the 20th century positively affected library users (patrons) since they eased information access challenges for patrons living with impairments. However, most academic libraries in developing countries are still grappling with challenges relating to ensuring adequate services to patrons with visual impairment. Given this problem, this paper seeks to provide a better overview and understanding of what provisioning of assistive resources entails. Such an understanding would aid decision-making in academic libraries on the specific resources that should be acquired for patrons with visual impairment. In addition, this paper also went on to conceptualise the term patrons with visual impairment, this is because there has been confusion within most academic libraries on the specific individuals that fall within this category. The main objective of the study is to determine the user satisfaction with the library. Although questionnaires were provided to users when the researcher took 0.15 % of the entire respondent population= 35392= 52 around 0.15 sampled. However, fifty two (52) copies of the questionnaires were given to the respondents where fifty (50) copies were retrieved and analyzed, representing 96.15 %. The findings show the existing information resources available. In the Agriculture University Library the challenges User such as internet access, power failure, employee attitudes. To resolve these limitations insufficient numbers of library workers should be filled in, which meant that information resources will be arranged and readily accessible. The jobs of LIS professionals will help users access and use agricultural information tools, repackage and disseminate agricultural information to them. These findings suggest the need to formalize and improve relations between users and library staff in order to increase access to agricultural information and to formulate policies and regulatory structures for gender response. Rapid growth of technology change the way of people to search, acquire, arrange and retrieve of information. The impact of technology has greatly affected on information searching pattern of college students. It's a high time for traditional libraries to change their approach as the availability of the digital resources is growing day by day. The product of this study would be helpful to gain information seeking awareness among the college students and the study may motivate library professionals to know the existing scenario of college libraries and it may be supportive to implement suitable plan and policy to improve existing library systems in keeping with the changing desire of users. Purpose: The main purpose of the study is to discover the information needs of Maharaja Bir Bikram college library users along with their information seeking behaviour and also establish the existing library scenario of the college. Objectives: To identify the information needs and searching behaviour of concerned college library users. And to discover the obstacles faces by the users while seeking information and provide appropriate suggestions to overcome the situation and to find out the level of user satisfaction. Methodology: For the present study a survey was conducted on Maharaja Bir Bikram College library users by the use of simple random sampling method with a set of questionnaire includes 15 questions. The primary data were collected from 301 respondents and the secondary data were gathered from previously published relevant literature. Collected data were presented in tabular form and Microsoft excel was used to analysed the data. Findings: The findings showed that maximum number of students visit library for access books to achieve academic success. It also discovered that most of the students are not aware about library collections and services as well as library e-resources therefore they preferred print materials as first choice. Problems faces by the respondents are nonavailability of updated study materials, shortage of information searching skill, lack of cooperation from library staff, shortage of current information sources. The investigation enables that user are not more satisfied with their college library resources and services. The research aims into library science students at Patna University in Bihar's understanding and use of electronic resources and many other relevant topics. In this investigation, the researcher adopted a descriptive strategy. The main objective of the paper is to get an understanding of the use of electronic resources by the library user. Overall, 90 questionnaires were distributed, whereas only 72 were filled and returned as a sample. To collect data from the users, a systematic questionnaire was constructed. The study aimed to determine the users' requirements and level of consciousness and use of electronic resources. According to data, many users were satisfied with infrastructure facilities, required information, or other reasons for using e-resources and services. However, some users could not use the e-resources due to the lack of user education and awareness campaigns, language difficulties, and IT skills and understanding. The study investigated the student's patronage and utilization of library and information resources in Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. Four research questions were considered to gather data. The sampled for the study comprised about 367 library patrons (Students). Purpose sampling the population of the study is techniques was adopted. The findings revealed that Afe Babalola University Library have enough materials which can help their patrons to achieve their aim such materials includes: abstract, dictionaries, directories, handbook, journals, projects, textbooks, report etc. Moreover, result showed that respondents visited library regularly but they visited library mostly to read for examination, research, getting assignment done and for personal development. The findings further reveal that library users visited library based on their interest for textbooks, past question and internet. Finally, the findings reveals that no challenges such as power shortage, personal assistant, up to date materials, in-conducive environment, internet, sitting arrangement and organization of library materials. The study recommended the university teachers should engaged the student with assignment that will make them use library more and familiar with other information resources, the librarian should introduce the students to the library through the orientation, library should organized library week once in a while and take a tour to another library, invite interested student to write in school library journal. User education programme refers to a well-planned programme of training and educating patrons on the skills and techniques of locating and retrieving library materials. User education is one of the important services of the library organized each year for undergraduates of higher institutions. User education is an academic programme designed by academic libraries to educate her user's especially undergraduates on how to effectively utilize library resources and services. The researchers explained that user education quickens the efforts of the clientele in retrieving and aids utilization of library materials through user education. More importantly, whether information comes from the internet, or the World Wide Web, Online databases, books or document, and other possible sources, users need user education for effective usage of information resources. And this prompted the various methods used for user education in Nigerian University Libraries such as library tour, library orientation, orientation lectures, library instruction, individual instruction, and class instruction to teach library literacy instructions. Users should expect timely access to quality information. This information must be accurate, relevant, comprehensive, and engaging. This can be done successfully by incorporating user education and training components into the academic library programmes and developing continuing professional education and training for the library and information professionals, as well as the end-users who will have to develop learning attitude and network related competence by the use information and communication technologies. The rationale of this report was to evaluate the current use of electronic resources among users of medical college libraries in Multan division. Moreover, mean variation about medical e-resources in respect of awareness, satisfaction, utilization and barriers with respondents' gender trait were also explored. This study used a questionnaire to conduct a cross-sectional survey research design. The survey questionnaire was send to the target population of medical college libraries users in Multan division of Pakistan and response rate was 88 per cent. The findings of the study shows that users of the medical libraries were slightly aware about the medical e-resources and majority of the participants were used medical e-resources for education, learning and to update knowledge purposes. In addition, Medical e-resources that are MEDLINE, PubMed, Springer Link, Science Direct, Black-Well Synergy and ProQuest Database were utilized rarely by the respondents. Users are partially satisfied with medical e-resources of libraries. Lack of training/orientation, low speed of internet, energy crisis/load shedding, lack of printing facility, non-availability of full text access to the most of Journals, lack of awareness, information overload and inadequate IT infrastructure were the major problems faced to medical colleges library users while using e-resources. There is no statistically significant difference in the mean scores of awareness, utilization, satisfaction and barriers about the medical e-resources with respect to male and female. The findings allow library professionals to be more effective, proactive, and successful in achieving digitize library services and resources. This study also made a significant contribution to the existing literature on medical e-resources and services. The findings could contribute in the promotion of digital library services and products, as well as virtual culture, in Pakistani medical college libraries, particularly in the Multan Division. The study investigates the mutilation of information resources in University libraries in Abuja. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design. The population of the study comprises 244 library staff made up of professionals and non-professionals in Universities in Abuja. Because the population was small and manageable, all the 244 library staff were used for the study. The instrument for data collection was a structured questionnaire titled "Mutilation of Information Resources Questionnaire" (MIQ). The questionnaire was validated by experts. The reliability of the questionnaire was established using Cronbach Alpha method and a reliability coefficient of 0.81 was obtained. Data were collected and analyzed using Frequency, Percentages, Means and Standard Deviations. Findings of the study revealed that, journals, textbooks, magazines, newspapers, projects/theses/dissertations, government publications, term papers, compact discs, CD-ROMs and audio-visual materials were the information resources affected by mutilation. It was also revealed that the forms of mutilation of library resources include, tearing of pages of books/journals, underlining of texts/journal, highlighting pages of textbooks/journals, bending spines of textbooks and journals, using of wet hands to turn pages of books/journals, cracking of CDs, marking of books/journals with biros, shading of books/journals with pencils, ear-dogging pages of books/journals and making comments on pages of books/journals. Further, it was revealed that the causes of mutilation of library resources in universities in Abuja include, poverty/financial constraints among users, high cost of photocopying library resources, insufficient library opening hours, ignorance of impact on the users, inadequate loan period, low quality of library services, frustration with library services on the part of users, lack of power supply, high cost of books, lack of security men at the reading section and inadequate close circuit cameras in the library. The study concludes that, plethora of information resources in university libraries in Abuja are prone to mutilation. Recommendation were made that, the cost of photocopying information materials in the libraries should be subsidized by Universities to enable easy access to information materials by library users as this can help in curbing the issue of mutilation; mutilators should be subjected to heavy and well defined penalties such as withdrawal of library card to serve as deterrent to other users and libraries should adopt the use of new technologies such as Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) to solve some of the problems caused by mutilation of library resources among others. Information needs arise when an individual finds himself in a problem situation, when he or she no longer can manage with the knowledge that he or she possess. Library patrons repeatedly find themselves in situations where information is needed, sought and gathered, organized, retrieved, processed, evaluated, and used. The objectives of this study are to examine the information requirements of students and researchers in Federal University Otuoke, to asses both human and material resources in the library; to determine the level at which the library satisfies the information needs of the users; and to find out best way(s) to meet these information needs of patrons in this ICT age. A Total of (250) library users from different departments and faculties were used as sample. Data were collected through a 20 item questionnaire which was developed based on objectives adopted. 220 dully completed questionnaires were returned in good condition. Data collected were analyzed using frequencies and percentages of responses. The findings revealed that the library patrons are more interested in the information related to, teaching, learning and research activities. The outcome of the research also revealed that the attitudes of the respondents were favorable in the use of library resources but there is the need for improvement in such areas as library services and provision of adequate space for readers. It was found out that majority of the respondents sought information from journals, textbooks, reference books than other library materials. College libraries are integral part of higher education institutions and they play an important role in raising the standard of education. The study was conducted at Sri JCBM College, Sringeri to assess users’ awareness and utilization of library resources and services. The data were collected using a structured questionnaire and personal visits to the said college library. Convenience sampling technique was used to collect the data. Seventy structured questionnaires were distributed and 52 duly filled questionnaires were returned back, the response rate is 76.04%. The data were analyzed using SPSS software (16.0) and Excel. The study revealed that the majority (86%) of the users are visiting library daily. The study revealed that majority of the users have awareness on almost all the services provided by the library. The majority of the users always use internet browsing service (50%), Reference service (44.23%) and Book bank facility (40.38%) while they visit the library. The users were satisfied with various resources and services provided by the library. The study suggested to provide a separate digital library with the adequate number of computers with high speed internet connectivity, Wi-Fi, access to more number of e-resources including CDs/DVDs and online journals to the users in the library. The main purpose of this paper is to examine online library resources during the COVID-19 pandemic situation at higher educational institutions in Pakistan. During the current pandemic situations, all the educational activities have been postponed and transformed into online latterly. A cross-sectional study consisting of a sample of 2378 from library patrons of public sector universities in Pakistan. A structured questionnaire has been administered based on different parts using an attitudinal scale of (dis)agreement has been used and pre-tested randomly with the reliability value ranging from .03 to .842. It is pertinent here to mention that during the COVID-19 pandemic, all the educational activities were shifted to online mode and it was not possible to collect information physically. Hence, an online method was opted and the questionnaire was shared through emails and WhatsApp numbers of public sector university library users. The study findings reveal that COVID-19 outbreak, fear of infection, and social distancing have favorable effects on online library information resources. Similarly, the results also support the argument that accessibility of manuscripts, accessibility of periodicals, and accessibility of books have favorable effects on online library resources. This paper highlighted the availability and accessibility of library information resources and services, library user attitude, working hours of library, physical facilities of KIET(Kakinada Institute of Engineering and Technology) Group of Institutions libraries, Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. The collection, library membership, students and faculty strength, opening and closing timings, library automation, sources and services offered, and accessibility of online resources are also examined. A well-structured questionnaire was circulated to Nine Hundred and seventyseven Under Graduate and Post Graduate students to collect the primary data from respondents. Total number of Nine Hundred and Fifteen filled-in questionnaires were acknowledged, showing on the whole response rate of counterproductive to evaluate dedicated library users. The study highlighted that the best part of users visits the library once a week. The study found that most users visit the library for circulation for lending services. The purpose of this study is to assess the information needs and information-seeking behaviour among library users in the CHS Library, the University of Ghana amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The study adopted the survey design to select 128 respondents using the convenience sampling technique with a response rate of 68.75 per cent. The study found that most respondents were competent health information literates. Moreover, most users look for health information to gain a better understanding of the causes, severity, and prognosis of a disease. Again, most respondents demonstrated that their main source of health information during the COVID-19 pandemic was the internet followed by medical databases. The findings also indicated that major challenges encountered in seeking health information by most respondents were internet connectivity followed by lack of time and inadequate library resources. Earlier studies have focused on health information and there is relatively little research on health information provided during the COVID-19 pandemic. Survey questionnaire was used to gather data from a stratified sample of 372 students and 98 faculty members. Only 64 faculty members returned their questionnaires. The study employs independent sample t-test, ANOVA (f-test) and Mann Whitney (U-test) to test the operational hypothesis. Upon analyzing the demographic profiles, it was noted that the students were frequent visitors of the library while the faculty have minimal visits. Statistical results show that both students and faculty used the resources only for "sometime" while students used the services more often than the faculty. Also, there are no significant differences to the rating of respondents' on resources and services when grouped according to profile except when students profile are grouped according to year level and frequency of visit. Factors such as adequate collection and lack of space in the library was found affecting the patrons in visiting the library. The researcher therefore conclude that library resources are not marketed effectively thus resulting to minimal usage while the good delivery and marketing of library services to the students resulted from frequent usage but still needs to be marketed to the faculty for extensive use. It is recommended that the proposed promotional strategies will focus on promoting the least used library resources. Also it is imperative, to create a promotional strategy program for the faculty which got minimal usage for resources and services as well as frequency of visit to the library. This study adopted the descriptive research design of the correlational type because it is used to show the relationship between two variables and also to obtain current information on the phenomena. A questionnaire survey was conducted to collect the information regarding the types of social media networking tools, frequency of use of electronic information resources, electronic resources available, the influence of social media networking tools and challenges of social media networking tools while using electronic information resources in academic libraries. The population of this study consisted of One hundred and three (103) library users in two universities in South-west, Nigeria which is the University of Ibadan (63 library users) being a Federal University; and Lead City University (40 library users) being a Private University. One hundred and fifty (150) questionnaires were distributed to collect the data. One hundred and three (103) responded, representing 68.7% of the sample size. Questionnaires were distributed randomly to the users at the main libraries and departmental libraries of the two universities. Data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistical technique made up of table, charts and percentages. The study found out that social networking tool such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter were available for the use of students in both Universities. The result showed that the use of electronic information resources is still very low in the Universities studied. This is due to lack of adequate knowledge about electronic information resources and relationship with social media networking tools, slow internet speed, inadequate provision of key electronic information resources and facilities in the library amongst others. Purpose: The study aims to find out the current scenario of library resources and services viz. collection including infrastructure, staff position, library services available in the private university libraries in the state of Assam, India. Methodology: Physical survey of all the five libraries has been conducted for which a questionnaire was designed. Findings: With the increasing number of library users, there should be adequate number of library staff to maintain all the different collections and services of the library. Private university libraries e-books and e-journals facility is not sufficient to cater the increasing demands of the users. Research Limitations: The study is applied to private university libraries within the geographical barrier within the state of Assam. It is applied only on the basic level library resources and services expected from a library. Practical Implications: It will provide an opportunity to the library authority to fill up the gap in providing their basic library services. Purpose: The purpose of this study was conducted to find out the realistic about the user's utilization and satisfaction level of Central library of Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences (SMIMS), Gangtok, Sikkim, India. The user's satisfaction of a library totally depends upon the utilization of library resources and services. Methodology: For the required queries a questionnaire was prepared for the present study and it was distributed among 120 SMIMS students randomly. Findings: The study exposed that students use the library for browsing e-resources and borrow books as per their need. From the students responses it was clear that users give preferences on accessing e-resources than printed material. Research Limitations: The present study is limited only for the students of the particular medical institution. The students were selected from different disciplines i.e. medical science, nursing and physiotherapy. Though faculties also use the library along with the students of this institution yet the research survey was limited for the students only. Practical Implications: Users were satisfied by using the library services like e-resources accessing, printing & photocopying service, DDS service, SMS alert service etc. Above these services the respondents recommended for digitization of the central library for the better utilization of library services as new information and communication technology are developing day by day so it should be implemented for best practices. The present study examines the Use of Library Resources and Services among Undergraduate Students of Forestry College at Ponnampet in Kodagu District, Karnataka state. Questionnaires as a tool used for data collection. There are 140 Questionnaires were distributed to the students. Out of which 105 filled Questionnaires were returned by the students. The major finding of the study reveals that Table 2 there are 55(52.38%) Male students were responded to the questionnaire. Followed by 50(47.62%) were Female Students. Table 3 shows 69(65.71%) students visit to library daily. 23(21.91%) students visited thrice in a week, the remaining students visit library during once in a week, twice in a week, occasionally and once in a month. Table 4 shows majority 59(56.19%) students visit to library for the purpose of Borrow and return Books. 13(12.39%) students visited to writing assignment, Table 5 it is observed that 59(56.19%) students access information through on library shelves. 36(34.28%) students access information through assistance with library staff, Table 6 shows Library collections. There are 89(84.76%) students responses on satisfactory opinion on Text Books collections. This paper analyses customer satisfaction with services of the Sokoine National Agricultural Library (SNAL) using a mixed method approach. Both qualitative and quantitative data were collected using questionnaire and interviews, which were supplemented by document analysis. A total of 72 respondents were selected using simple random and purposive sampling procedures. Data were analysed descriptively and were presented in tables, pie charts and percentages. The expectancydisconfirmation theory with Four-Level Zone of Tolerance (ZoT) developed by Oliver (1980) guided data analysis in this study. Findings indicate that leaning materials and services provided by SNAL are relatively sufficient due to satisfaction level of majority of customers being over 50%. This shows that the library has relevant learning materials which mostly meet users' satisfaction. However, some respondents showed dissatisfaction with challenges they faced in accessing library resources due to: poor arrangement of books in shelves that made users to spend a lot of time in searching materials, lack of adequate security in the Library that made some users' properties in their bags temporarily kept in the library being stolen and lack of good customer care practices from some library staff. The paper examines an assessment of the resources and services provision for the disabled library users in University of Ilorin and Federal College of Education (Special) Oyo. The study adapted the qualitative research approach in order to carry out the investigation. The population for this study consisted of all the disabled library patrons in University of Ilorin and Federal College of Education (Special) Oyo. The purposive sampling was used to select sample for this study. Three data gathering instruments consisting of questionnaires, observation and interview were used in this study. Data were analysed using frequency and percentages findings of the study showed that the deaf constitute 126%, follow by the dumb which is 84%. While others are the least in the University of Ilorin and Federal College of Education (Special) Oyo. Most of the disabled library users indicated that the resources and services of the library are accessible in Federal College of Education (Special) Oyo unlike that of university of Ilorin. Innovative services and practices are the buzzwords in today's libraries. Changes brought about by the electronic environment has impacted on libraries and caused a transformation in services and practices. Consequently, the library of the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) has keyed into this paradigm by changing its conventional approach. This article explored various innovative services and practices in FUTO library. It also identified the benefits and extent of innovative services and practices in the library. A descriptive survey was adopted for the study while questionnaire was used as data collection instrument. Findings revealed a remarkable increase in library patronage, library visibility, use of library resources (databases), access to OPAC and supportive staff among others. It was also discovered that the extent of innovative services and practices in the library was high in various areas such as: library visibility (Mean=3.54), library patronage (Mean= 3.45), dependence on the library for research (Mean=3.27), longer hours by patrons (Mean=3.05), more followers on social media (Mean=3.00) etc. The study also identified some challenges hindering effective innovative services and practices. It was discovered that constant electricity coupled with inadequate funds were major roadblocks. Despite these challenges, it was observed that the library is not relenting in efforts to unleash her full potential in providing services that align with the needs of the present environment. The purpose of this study is to investigate students' perception, use and challenges of electronic information resources in Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun, Nigeria. A descriptive survey research design was adopted. A census sampling technique was used and data was gathered from Two hundred and forty-nine students of 500 level in the Departments in College of Technology. The data gathered were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, while regression analysis was used to analyze result of the hypothesis. The result revealed that electronic information resources are used at different level by the respondents with e-journal, e-database, web OPAC and repositories recording high usage. It shows that users' perception influences use of electronic information resources in academic libraries with (β =.214, p<.05). From the findings, it is deduced that users' perception influences use of eresources in academic libraries, while lack of awareness, lack of training, unreliable Internet connectivity, insufficient e-resources in various study areas, unavailability of e-resources on 24/7 and difficulty of identifying relevant information to meet users' needs are challenges hindering use of e-resources. The study concludes that librarians should acquire more eresources to cover various study areas, create more awareness of e-resources at the library to change users' perception and introduce a 24/7 internet services. Polytechnic libraries play pivotal roles in the sustenance and advancement of the academic activities of their parent institutions. They bridge the gap between the vast information resources available in different disciplines and polytechnics through their services. This article evaluates the use of polytechnic libraries in Nigeria focusing on the Federal Polytechnic Offa library, Kwara State, Nigeria. Stratified random sampling technique was used to select 250 respondents from 1000 registered library users; while 230 copies of the questionnaire were retrieved representing a response rate of 92%. The analysis of data was based on frequency counts, percentages, mean score and confidence interval. Findings revealed that textbooks, journals, reference materials and newspaper/magazines are the mostly utilised information resources in the library and are consulted frequently. Most respondents used the library to prepare for examinations while Internet services and photocopy services are the mostly utilised library services. Factors like insufficient information resources, inadequate awareness of the available information resources and inability of users to utilize the electronic information resources on their own hinder the effective usage of the library information resources. In this paper I studied the status and usage of library resources and services and library use opinion about library working hours, library physical facilities, library information sources and service of K L (Koneru Lakshmaiah Educational Foundation) University, Vijayawada. The collection development, library membership, staff position, working hours, library automation, services offered and availability of online resources are also discussed. A well structured questionnaire was managed to 300 faculty members, Research scholars and post graduation students to collect the primary data from respondents. A total number of 270 filled in questionnaires were received showing overall response rate of counterproductive to evaluate library users. Purpose: This study examined users' perception of the facilities, resources and services of the MTN digital library at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka with regards to the effectiveness and efficiency of the library system. Design/Method/Approach: The descriptive survey research design was adopted for this study. It was appropriate for this study as a useful method for assessing attitudes or opinions towards programmes, individuals, organizations and events. Four objectives and four research questions were formulated to guide this study. A convenience sampling technique was used and a sample size of 196 registered users of the MTN Digital Library, UNN was evaluated for this study. Instruments for data collection include a well structured questionnaire designed to elicit information from the library's users and an observation checklist designed to support the results of the questionnaire. 213 questionnaires were distributed to the users of the library with a return rate of 92%. The study employed the use of frequency table, percentages, mean scores and ranking as statistical measures for data analysis. Findings: From the findings of the study, it was concluded that the general perception of users towards the facilities, resources and services of the MTN digital library, UNN is highly satisfactory. Respondents were very highly aware of and satisfied with the availability of e- resources such as the World Wide Web, WIFI and search engines as opposed to online indexes and abstracts, video CDs, CD-ROMs, online databases and portals. Results also showed that services such as online internet search services, e-mail services and online reference services were provided at the MTN library at higher extents compared to other services. It was therefore recommended that the library offer different information access and delivery mechanisms to users to widen the limited scope of the resources and services currently employed to serve them. Other recommendations include the employment of dedicated and willing staff, use of newsgroups and online forums to discuss and consult users, continuous review of the digital library system, training and support of software developers and technicians to enhance digital library services, provision forums where users can lodge their complaints concerning the inefficiency or effectiveness of the library system, provision of a communication and feedback mechanism should between the library and the MTNF to see to the effective maintenance and sustainability of the digital library project etc. Implication: This study has serious implications for libraries in Nigerian higher education institutions as the line between the use of academic libraries and the use of the internet for research is still very obvious. In more developed countries these lines are virtually non-existent, because most academic libraries enjoy full Internet connectivity. Manpower training in the use of technology is another issue that is being raised here. Librarians must be trained in the use of current technologies to aid them in the discharge of their duties. The results of this study have implications for the university management and staff, students, the MTNF and NetLibrary, the university and library administrations, researchers and lecturers. Originality/Value: The originality of this study lies in its examination of the facilities, resources and services of the MTN digital library at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka from the users' perspective. This study assessed Library User Resources and Programmes for Library Skill's (LS) acquisition in Unity Schools of South East Nigeria. In conducting this research, survey research design was adopted and out of a population of 29,358, multiple-stage sampling technique was used to select a sample of 1,212 that comprised of 480 JSI students, 469 SSIII students and 263 staff from the 12 Unity Schools under study. Two research questions guided the study. Observation check-list and questionnaire titled Library User Education Questionnaire (LUEQ) were the instruments used for data collection. These instruments were validated by five experts. Reliability coefficient of 0.91 was obtained using Cronbach Alpha method. Frequency and percentage were used to analyze results obtained from research question one while mean and standard deviations were used for that of research question two. Findings revealed that: there was a dearth of Library Resources (LR) in these schools, while some of the available ones were obsolete. The level of Library User Programme (LUP) implementation was very low. Findings of this study have a number of implications for education in general, school librarians, teachers and secondary school curriculum planners in particular. From the above findings it was recommended that Government should give urgent attention to the provision of library recourses (LR) such as establishment of modern school libraries, provision of current library resources among others for the enhancement of library skills' (LS) acquisition. The purpose of this study was to increase the understanding of the ways that people find health information in Iran, as a developing country, and also to identify how they evaluate the roles of public libraries in providing their users with health information. The setting of the study is public libraries of Qazvin City of Iran. The four main public libraries in different areas of the city were selected for research. Sample size of this study was 200(n=200). To collect data a structured questionnaire was used. Data were summarized using frequency (%) for qualitative variables. The Chi-Square tests were also used to test the association between the socio-demographic variables and health information seeking behavior. The study indicates that health information seekers in Iran are passive information seekers rather than active ones. The results showed that most common resources for seeking health information were "TV" and "discussions with others". Among the persons used internet for search health information, search engines such as "Google" or "Yahoo" were more used. Also results indicated that among persons going to public libraries, there was a group that referred to public library for finding information about health and for using information sources such as medical magazines, books and etc. In review of relationship between socio-demographic properties such as age, gender, education and job and the use of health information resource conclude that there is a meaningful-relationship between education level and use of internet for getting health information and between age, job and "discussions with family, relatives or close friends" for receiving health information. This study suggests that one of the key issues in public libraries could be educating the citizens (its members at least) until people become familiar with available health resources in the library and even librarians teach them how to search on the authentic websites. This study investigated the awareness and use of Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) by students of Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. A questionnaire was distributed to 800 students at various faculties and in different levels of studies in August 2012. Five hundred and twenty copies of the questionnaire was retrieved and used for the study. The study revealed that 68.7 % of the respondents were aware of the OPAC services; students who were aware of the library OPAC and did not use it to access library resources were statistically significant (x² =82.073; df =2; α = 0.001); 23.8% of the respondents used OPAC independently; only 3.2% of the respondents accessed library resources from their hostels, 0.2% access it from homes. Similarly, majority of the respondents lacked information searching skills while lack of awareness, irregular power supply, network failure and inadequacy of computer terminals designated for the use of OPAC were among the problems identified as factors inhibiting the use of library OPAC. Therefore, the study concludes that majority of the students used manual catalogues to access library resources due to lack of awareness, skills to use OPAC and problems encountered during usage. Hence, students have not been making effective and efficient use of the library OPAC. Therefore, we recommend that the Library should create more awareness and effective education for students at various levels to ensure maximum utilization of library resources. The article presents a comparative study in which researchers analyzed the relationship between the level of study conducted by student library users and the extent of use of library resources by these students in Nigerian universities in 2004-2005. Researchers were interested in gathering this information in order to help university libraries manage their facilities and resources. Other topics discussed include the value and scope of the research, the implications of the study on Nigerian university library collections, and the recommendation that libraries promote their available resources to capitalize on their collections.

The article investigates the information requirements, usefulness of library resources and services, and problems met by faculty members of two arts and sciences colleges in India. These are Government Arts & Science College and Sri Raghavendra Arts & Science College. Results reveal that most faculty in both institutions are lecturers. Over half visit the library every day, or once a week and use books or reference works most frequently. In general, they visit the library to prepare for class.

The article presents the results of research on the use of cell phones for library operations, which focused on the use of GSM (global system for mobile communications) technologies at the Delta State University Library in Abraka, Nigeria. An overview of related previous studies is provided, along with details of the research protocol, which involved a survey of library users and staff. It was found that improved telecommunications infrastructure would be needed in order for the library to take full advantage of the mobile phone as a library resource for users, and recommendations on implementing improvements are provided.
