Abstract

The article discusses understanding aggression in an eight-year-old child. In clarifying this concern, the case of Xavier is presented. The boy has language-based learning disorder (LD) and attention-deficit/ hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). As claimed by his teachers and parents, his aggressive behavior, like punching and kicking, are caused by his being asked to halt a favorite activity or doing an activity that he dislikes.
