SET-domain group histone methyltransferases (SDGs) are known to play crucial roles in plant responses to abiotic stress. However, their specific function in cotton's response to drought stress has not been well understood. This study conducted a comprehensive analysis of the SDG gene family in Gossypium hirsutum, identifying a total of 82 SDG genes. An evolutionary analysis revealed that the SDG gene family can be divided into eight subgroups. The expression analysis shows that some GhSDG genes are preferentially expressed in specific tissues, indicating their involvement in cotton growth and development. The transcription level of some GhSDG genes is induced by PEG, with GhSDG59 showing significant upregulation upon polyethylene glycol (PEG) treatment. Quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) analysis showed that the accumulation of transcripts of the GhSDG59 gene was significantly upregulated under drought stress. Further functional studies using virus-induced gene silencing (VIGS) revealed that silencing GhSDG59 reduced cotton tolerance to drought stress. Under drought conditions, the proline content, superoxide dismutase (SOD) and peroxidase (POD) enzyme activities in the GhSDG59-silenced plants were significantly lower than in the control plants, while the malondialdehyde (MDA) content was significantly higher. Transcriptome sequencing showed that silencing the GhSDG59 gene led to significant changes in the expression levels of 1156 genes. The KEGG enrichment analysis revealed that these differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were mainly enriched in the carbon metabolism and the starch and sucrose metabolism pathways. The functional annotation analysis identified known drought-responsive genes, such as ERF, CIPK, and WRKY, among these DEGs. This indicates that GhSDG59 is involved in the drought-stress response in cotton by affecting the expression of genes related to the carbon metabolism and the starch and sucrose metabolism pathways, as well as known drought-responsive genes. Aspergillus flavus is a ubiquitous pathogen that can infect many foods and grains, and it produces large amounts of aflatoxins during their storage. Aflatoxins are considered highly toxic and carcinogenic to humans, and they cause great damage to crop production, food security, and human health. Thus, controlling A. flavus and aflatoxins in grains presents a great challenge to humans worldwide. Over the past decade, many strategies have been demonstrated to be useful in controlling A. flavus and aflatoxins during food storage. These methods involve physical agents, chemical agents, biological agents, etc. Some of these methods are currently used in actual production. In this review, we summarize the reported methods for controlling A. flavus and aflatoxins during food storage in the past ten years and elucidate their advantages and disadvantages. The methods discussed include irradiation technology; low oxygen atmospheres; chemical fungicides (benzalkonium chloride, iodine, ammonium bicarbonate, and phenolic and azole compounds); biological agents from plants, animals, and micro-organisms; and aflatoxin elimination methods. We expect that this review will promote the applications of current strategies and be useful for the development of novel technologies to prevent or eliminate A. flavus and aflatoxins in food and feed during storage. Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) is a promising anode material for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) due to its distinctive graphene-like structure and high specific capacity. However, its commercial application is hindered by the severe volume expansion during lithiation/delithiation and poor conductivity. In this paper, we report a facile one-pot enhanced hydrothermal synthesis strategy to prepare high-performance MoS2/C composite materials. The results indicate that the as-prepared MoS2/C composite is a subspheroidal core–shell structure material, with uniform coating, good particle dispersion, and an average grain size of approximately 80 nm. The morphology of the composite remained unchanged even after annealing at 500 °C for 2 h. The addition of glucose can accelerate the nucleation and growth of MoS2, and higher hydrothermal temperatures can improve the product yield. The addition of PVP has little effect on the yield, but significantly reduces the particle size. The XPS analysis reveals that the MoO3 may be generated as an intermediate product during the hydrothermal process. The electrochemical test results show that the unannealed MoS2/C samples exhibit discharge-specific capacities of 705.2 mAh·g−1 and 625.7 mAh·g−1 after the first cycle and the 100th cycle, respectively, at a current density of 500 mA·g−1, with a capacity retention rate of 88.7%. In contrast, the specific capacity of the MoS2/C specimens after annealing at 500 °C for 2 h shows a tendency to decrease and then slowly increase during the cycles, and the discharge specific capacity is 582.3 mAh·g−1 after the 100th cycle, which is lower than that of the unheated sample. The impedance analysis reveals that the lithium-ion diffusion coefficient of the MoS2/C material without calcination is 2.11 × 10−18 cm·s−2, which is superior to that of the annealed MoS2/C and pristine MoS2 samples. Major depressive disorder (MDD) and bipolar disorder (BD) share clinical features, which complicates their differentiation in clinical settings. This study proposes an innovative approach that integrates structural connectome analysis with machine learning models to discern individuals with MDD from individuals with BD. High-resolution MRI images were obtained from individuals diagnosed with MDD or BD and from HCs. Structural connectomes were constructed to represent the complex interplay of brain regions using advanced graph theory techniques. Machine learning models were employed to discern unique connectivity patterns associated with MDD and BD. At the global level, both BD and MDD patients exhibited increased small-worldness compared to the HC group. At the nodal level, patients with BD and MDD showed common differences in nodal parameters primarily in the right amygdala and the right parahippocampal gyrus when compared with HCs. Distinctive differences were found mainly in prefrontal regions for BD, whereas MDD was characterized by abnormalities in the left thalamus and default mode network. Additionally, the BD group demonstrated altered nodal parameters predominantly in the fronto-limbic network when compared with the MDD group. Moreover, the application of machine learning models utilizing structural brain parameters demonstrated an impressive 90.3% accuracy in distinguishing individuals with BD from individuals with MDD. These findings demonstrate that combined structural connectome and machine learning enhance diagnostic accuracy and may contribute valuable insights to the understanding of the distinctive neurobiological signatures of these psychiatric disorders. Simple Summary: Machine learning methods have shown promise in accurately identifying small lung nodules. However, further exploration is needed to fully harness the potential of machine learning in distinguishing between benign and malignant nodules. This study aimed to develop and evaluate a ResNet50-Ensemble Voting model for detecting the nature (benign or malignant) of small pulmonary nodules (less than 20 mm) based on CT images. This study involved 834 CT imaging data from 396 patients with small pulmonary nodules. CT image features were extracted using ResNet50 and VGG16 algorithms, and classification was performed using XGBoost, SVM, and Ensemble Voting techniques, incorporating ten different combinations of machine learning classifiers. Among the models tested, the ResNet50-Ensemble Voting algorithm demonstrated the highest performance in the test set, achieving an accuracy of 0.943 (0.938, 0.948), with sensitivity and specificity values of 0.964 and 0.911, respectively. The implementation of machine learning models, particularly the ResNet50-Ensemble Voting approach, showed excellent performance in accurately identifying benign and malignant small pulmonary nodules (less than 20 mm) from diverse sources. These models have the potential to assist doctors in accurately diagnosing the nature of early-stage lung nodules in clinical practice. Objective: The aim of this study was to develop and evaluate the ResNet50-Ensemble Voting model for detecting the benign and malignant nature of small pulmonary nodules (<20 mm) based on CT images. Methods: In this study, 834 CT imaging data from 396 patients with small pulmonary nodules were gathered and randomly assigned to the training and validation sets in an 8:2 ratio. ResNet50 and VGG16 algorithms were utilized to extract CT image features, followed by XGBoost, SVM, and Ensemble Voting techniques for classification, for a total of ten different classes of machine learning combinatorial classifiers. Indicators such as accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity were used to assess the models. The collected features are also shown to investigate the contrasts between them. Results: The algorithm we presented, ResNet50-Ensemble Voting, performed best in the test set, with an accuracy of 0.943 (0.938, 0.948) and sensitivity and specificity of 0.964 and 0.911, respectively. Drought stress imposes severe constraints on crop growth and yield. The NAC transcription factors (TF) play a pivotal role in regulating plant stress responses. However, the biological functions and regulatory mechanisms of many cotton NACs have not been explored. In this study, we report the cloning and characterization of GhNAC2-A06, a gene encoding a typical cotton NAC TF. The expression of GhNAC2-A06 was induced by PEG treatment, drought stress, and ABA treatment. Furthermore, we investigated its function using the virus-induced gene silencing (VIGS) method. GhNAC2-A06 silenced plants exhibited a poorer growth status under drought stress conditions compared to the controls. The GhNAC2-A06 silenced cotton plants had a lower leaf relative water and chlorophyll content and a higher MDA content compared to the controls under the drought treatment. The levels of superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD), and catalase (CAT) enzyme activity in the GhNAC2-A06 silenced plants were found to be lower compared to the controls when exposed to drought stress. Additionally, the downregulation of the drought stress-related genes, GhSAP12-D07, GhNCED1-A01, GhLEA14-A11, GhZAT10-D02, GhPROT2-A05, GhABF3-A03, GhABF2-D05, GhSAP3-D07, and GhCPK1-D04, was observed in the GhNAC2-A06 silenced cotton. Together, our research reveals that GhNAC2-A06 plays a role in the reaction of cotton to drought stress by affecting the expression of genes related to drought stress. The ecological indicators for the growth and restoration of A. mongolicus populations are important for grasping the regulatory mechanisms of the biogeochemistry cycle, and for providing basic data for the prediction and evaluation of the evolution characteristics of natural A. mongolicus populations. We conducted studies on the eco-stoichiometric characteristics of natural A. mongolicus in different shrub ages, in order to understand the nutrient limitations for the growth and development of A. mongolicus and the synergy between the soil, leaves and roots, and to explore the C, N and P stoichiometric characteristics on A. mongolicus. The results showed the following: (1) The response of C, N and P stoichiometric characteristics in the leaves, roots and soil to changes in shrub age was not completely consistent. The leaf C content was young shrub> mature shrub> middle age shrub. The C content in the root system and C and N content in the soil showed an upward trend with increasing shrub age. The N and P contents of the root system and the P content of the soil showed a downward trend with increasing shrub age. The stoichiometric ratios C:N, C:P and N:P in the leaves, roots and soil showed an upward trend, and the N:P ratios in the leaves and roots were similar. (2) Among the stoichiometric characteristics of the leaves, C, N and P, leaves P and C:P are the most sensitive to shrub age changes, and have ecological implications for the growth and population dynamics of A. mongolicus. The average N:P ratios of young A. mongolicus leaves in young, middle-aged and mature shrubs were 15.32, 18.23 and 21.76, respectively. It can be seen that with an increase in shrub age, the growth of A. mongolicus gradually shifted from being jointly restricted by N and P to being more restricted by P. (3) The N content and the C∶N and N∶P ratios of A. mongolicus are classified as "strictly homoeostasis ", which shows strong plant homoeostasis for environmental adaptability. The N supplemented by symbiotic nitrogen fixation makes A. mongolicus have strong N internal homoeostasis. Therefore, in a desert grassland with low N content, the growth process of A. mongolicus may be easily restricted by P due to the additional N absorbed by it. (4) The C, N and P contents of the leaves, roots and soils of the three shrubs were shown as leaf > root > soil, and the difference was significant (p < 0.05). The correlation analysis showed that the C, N and P contents of the soil, roots and leaves and their stoichiometric ratio characteristics of the three shrubs showed a certain correlation. Among them, the P content of the soil was significantly related to the N:P ratio of the leaves and roots. Therefore, P is likely to become a limiting factor in the plant growth and repair process of the plant ecosystem in the A. mongolicus population. In summary, during the growth of A. mongolicus, special attention should be paid to the balance of nutrients. In order to improve its productivity, it is recommended to reasonably apply P fertilizers in the process of tending management to enhance the soil nutrient status and improve plant nutrient utilization efficiency and homoeostasis. The rapid advancements in gene therapy have opened up new possibilities for treating genetic disorders, including Duchenne muscular dystrophy, thalassemia, cystic fibrosis, hemophilia, and familial hypercholesterolemia. The utilization of the clustered, regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR)-CRISPR-associated protein (Cas) system has revolutionized the field of gene therapy by enabling precise targeting of genes. In recent years, CRISPR/Cas9 has demonstrated remarkable efficacy in treating cancer and genetic diseases. However, the susceptibility of nucleic acid drugs to degradation by nucleic acid endonucleases necessitates the development of functional vectors capable of protecting the nucleic acids from enzymatic degradation while ensuring safety and effectiveness. This review explores the biomedical potential of non-viral vector-based CRISPR/Cas9 systems for treating genetic diseases. Furthermore, it provides a comprehensive overview of recent advances in viral and non-viral vector-based gene therapy for genetic disorders, including preclinical and clinical study insights. The compression and shear behavior of reconstituted clay are closely related to the initial water content of the reconstituted soil. It is difficult to obtain the compression and shear test data of clay with a high initial water content. This study aims to propose a model to predict the compression deformation and strength characteristics of reconstituted clay prepared with any initial water content using less data. Based on the concept of the disturbed state, this paper establishes a mathematical model that can simulate the compression and triaxial shear characteristics of reconstituted clay with different initial water contents. This model uses three compression curves of reconstituted clay with different initial water contents to calibrate the model parameters, and can predict the compression deformation characteristics of reconstituted clay prepared with any initial water content. The model can simulate the consolidated undrained shear behavior of clay reconstituted with different initial water contents. Comparing the measured data shows that the model is in good agreement with the measured compression curve and the triaxial stress–strain curve. The error of the predicted pore ratio and test pore ratio before yield is within 5%, and the error of the predicted pore ratio and test pore ratio after yield is within 10%. The stress–strain relationship of clay hardening with different water contents can be captured. In this study, a label-free and antibody-free impedimetric biosensor based on molecularly imprinting technology for exosomes derived from non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells was established. Involved preparation parameters were systematically investigated. In this design, with template exosomes anchored on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) by decorated cholesterol molecules, the subsequent electro-polymerization of APBA and elution procedure afforded a selective adsorption membrane for template A549 exosomes. The adsorption of exosomes caused a rise in the impedance of the sensor, so the concentration of template exosomes can be quantified by monitoring the impedance of GCEs. Each procedure in the establishment of the sensor was monitored with a corresponding method. Methodological verification showed great sensitivity and selectivity of this method with an LOD = 2.03 × 103 and an LOQ = 4.10 × 104 particles/mL. By introducing normal cells and other cancer cells derived exosomes as interference, high selectivity was proved. Accuracy and precision were measured, with an obtained average recovery ratio of 100.76% and a resulting RSD of 1.86%. Additionally, the sensors' performance was retained at 4 °C for a week or after undergoing elution and re-adsorption cycles seven times. Plant glutathione peroxidases (GPXs) are the main enzymes in the antioxidant defense system that sustain H2O2 homeostasis and normalize plant reaction to abiotic stress conditions. However, the genome-wide identification of the GPX gene family and its responses to environmental stresses, especially salt stress, in Nitraria sibirica, which is a shrub that can survive in saline environments, has not yet been reported. Here, we first report the genome-wide analysis of the GPX gene family in N. sibirica, leading to a total of seven NsGPX genes that are distributed on six of the twelve chromosomes. Phylogenetic analysis showed that NsGPX genes were grouped into four major groups (Group I-IV). Three types of cis-acting elements were identified in the NsGPX promoters, mainly related to hormones and stress response. The quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) analysis indicated that NsGPX1 and NsGPX3 were significantly up-regulated in stem and leaf, while NsGPX7 transcriptionally in root in response to salt stress. The current study identified a total seven NsGPX genes in N. sibirica via genome-wide analysis, and discovered that NsGPXs may play an important role in response to salt stress. Taken together, our findings provide a basis for further functional studies of NsGPX genes, especially in regarding to the resistance to salt stress of this halophyte plant N. sibirica, eventually aid in the discovery of new methods to restore overtly saline soil. Flexible polymer-based magnetoelectric (ME) materials have broad application prospects and are considered as a new research field. In this article, FeCoSiB thin films were deposited on poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-trifluoroethylene) (PVDF-TrFE) substrate by DC magnetron sputtering. The structure of PVDF-TrFE/FeCoSiB heterostructure thin films was similar to 2-2. Under a bias magnetic field of 70 Oe, the composites have a dramatically increased ME voltage coefficient as high as 111 V/cm⋅Oe at a frequency of about 85 kHz. The piezoelectric coefficient of PVDF-TrFE thin films is 34.87 pC/N. The surface morphology of PVDF-TrFE thin films were studied by FESEM, and the results of XRD and FTIR showed that the β-phase of PVDF-TrFE thin films was dominant. Meanwhile, the effects of different heating conditions on the crystallization and piezoelectric properties of PVDF-TrFE films were also studied. The flexible ME heterojunction composite has a significant ME voltage coefficient and excellent piezoelectric properties at room temperature, which allows it to be a candidate material for developing flexible magnetoelectric devices. Heart failure (HF) is the leading cause of death worldwide. The most effective HF treatment is heart transplantation, the use of which is restricted by the limited supply of donor hearts. The human pluripotent stem cell (hPSC), including human embryonic stem cell (hESC) and the induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSC), could be produced in an infinite manner and differentiated into cardiomyocytes (CMs) with high efficiency. The hPSC-CMs have, thus, offered a promising alternative for heart transplant. In this review, we introduce the tissue-engineering technologies for hPSC-CM, including the materials for cell culture and tissue formation, and the delivery means into the heart. The most recent progress in clinical application of hPSC-CMs is also introduced. In addition, the bottleneck limitations and future perspectives for clinical translation are further discussed. Diabetic foot ulceration is a common chronic diabetic complication. Human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells (hUC-MSCs) have been widely used in regenerative medicine owing to their multipotency and easy availability. We developed poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA)-based scaffold to create hUC-MSC tissue sheets. In vitro immunostaining showed that hUC-MSC tissue sheets formed thick and solid tissue sheets with an abundance of extracellular matrix (ECM). Diabetic wounds in mice treated with or without either the hUC-MSC tissue sheet, hUC-MSC injection, or fiber only revealed that hUC-MSC tissue sheet transplantation promoted diabetic wound healing with improved re-epithelialization, collagen deposition, blood vessel formation and maturation, and alleviated inflammation compared to that observed in other groups. Taken collectively, our findings suggest that hUC-MSCs cultured on PLGA scaffolds improve diabetic wound healing, collagen deposition, and angiogenesis, and provide a novel and effective method for cell transplantation, and a promising alternative for diabetic skin wound treatment. Nitraria sibirica is a shrub that can survive in extreme drought environments. The auxin-response factors (ARFs) are a class of transcription factors that are widely involved in plant growth and development, as well as in the regulation of stress resistance. However, the genome-wide identification of the ARF gene family and its responses to environmental stresses, especially drought stress, in N. sibirica has not yet been reported. Here, we identified a total of 12 ARF genes in the genome of N. sibirica, which were distributed over 10 chromosomes and divided into three clades. Intragenome synteny analysis revealed one collinear gene pair in the ARF gene family, i.e., NsARF9a and NsARF9b. Cis-acting element analysis showed that multiple hormones and stress-responsive cis-acting elements were found in the promoters of NsARFs, suggesting that NsARFs may be involved in multiple biological processes. Quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) showed that many NsARFs had tissue-specific expression patterns, with the highest expression of NsARF16 in the seedlings of N. sibirica. In addition, most of the NsARFs that were upregulated under drought were independent of endogenous ABA biosynthesis, whereas the response of NsARF5 and NsARF7a to drought was disrupted by the ABA-biosynthesis inhibitor fluridone. The calcineurin B-like-interacting protein kinase (CIPK) protein family plays a key role in the plant calcium ion-mediated signal transduction pathway, which regulates a plant's response to abiotic stress. Nitraria sibirica pall. (N. sibirica) is a halophyte with a strong tolerance for high salt environments, yet how it is able to deal with salt stress on a molecular level is still unknown. Due to their function as described in other plant species, CIPK genes are prime candidates for a role in salt stress signaling in N. sibirica. In this study, we identified and analyzed the phylogenetic makeup and gene expression of the N. sibirica CIPK gene family. A total of 14 CIPKs were identified from the N. sibirica genome and were clustered into seven groups based on their phylogeny. The promoters of NsCIPK genes contained multiple elements involved in hormonal and stress response. Synteny analysis identified a total of three pairs of synteny relationships between NsCIPK genes. Each gene showed its own specific expression pattern across different tissues, with the overall expression of CIPK6 being the lowest, and that of CIPK20 being the highest. Almost all CIPK genes tended to respond to salt, drought, and cold stress, but with different sensitivity levels. In this study, we have provided a general description of the NsCIPK gene family and its expression, which will be of great significance for further understanding of the NsCIPK gene family function. As eating behavior is important to health, this cross-sectional study was conducted to analyze the factors influencing the eating behavior related to overweight and obesity of Chinese residents aged 18~60 based on the Ecological Model of Health Behavior. The short-form of the Eating Behavior Scale (EBS-SF) was applied to evaluate eating behavior. The multivariable linear stepwise regression analysis was used to identify and analyze the influence factors, and the receiver operating characteristic curves analysis to validate the predictive capability of the EBS-SF score in differentiating overweight and obesity. A total of 8623 participants were enrolled. In the personal characteristics, male (β = −0.03), older [36–45 years (β = −0.06) or 46–60 years (β = −0.07)], higher scores of Agreeableness (β = −0.04), Conscientiousness (β = −0.14) or Openness (β = −0.03) contributed to healthy eating behavior. In the individual behaviors, those who smoked (β = 0.04), drank alcohol (β = 0.05), exercised frequently (β = 0.07), had higher PHQ-9 scores (β = 0.29) may have improper eating habits. As for the interpersonal networks, the residents who were married (β = −0.04) behaved well when eating, while those who had offspring or siblings tended to have unhealthy eating behavior. At the community level, living in Western China (β = −0.03), having a monthly household income of 6001–9000 yuan per capita (β = −0.04), having no debt (β = −0.02), being retired (β = −0.03), or having lower PSSS scores (β = −0.03) led to lower EBS-SF scores. Fe-based coatings with high V and Cr content were obtained by laser cladding using Fe-based powder with different Cr3C2 and FeV50 content. The results showed that Fe-based coatings were uniform and dense. The constituent phases were mainly composed of α-Fe solid solution with the increase of Cr3C2 and FeV50, γ-Fe and V8C7 phases were achieved. The microstructure of the coatings exhibited a typical dendrite structure. The concentration of C, V and Cr were saturated in dendritic areas, and the other alloying elements were mainly dissolved in the interdendritic areas. The hardness and wear resistance of Fe-based coatings were enhanced with the Cr3C2 and FeV50 addition. The specimen with 15% Cr3C2 and 16% FeV50 had the highest hardness of 66.1 ± 0.6 HRC, which was 1.05 times higher than the sample with 4.5% Cr3C2 and 5% FeV50, and the wear resistance of the former was three times greater than the latter. In the field of cognitive radio spectrum sensing, the adaptive silence period management mechanism (ASPM) has improved the problem of the low time-resource utilization rate of the traditional silence period management mechanism (TSPM). However, in the case of the low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), the ASPM algorithm will increase the probability of missed detection for the primary user (PU). Focusing on this problem, this paper proposes an improved adaptive silence period management (IA-SPM) algorithm which can adaptively adjust the sensing parameters of the current period in combination with the feedback information from the data communication with the sensing results of the previous period. The feedback information in the channel is achieved with frequency resources rather than time resources in order to adapt to the parameter change in the time-varying channel. Aviation hydraulic clamp-piping systems often experience damage due to vibration, which poses a great threat to the reliability and safety of the aircraft. In this paper, a hard coating is used as a new damping method to study the vibration characteristics of aviation hydraulic clamp-piping systems. Three kinds of coated clamp entities are obtained by optimization and preparation, and the combination of finite element simulation and experiment is used to analyze the vibration response of the high- and low-pressure rotor under fixed-frequency simple harmonic excitation, and the resonance response under sweep-frequency excitation of the aviation hydraulic clamp-piping system. Through orthogonal experiments, it is clear that 304 stainless steel clamps coated with 200-μm-thick YSZ-PTFE coating have the best vibration damping effect on the clamp-piping system; that is, the damping rate can reach 24.67% under fixed-frequency excitation, and swept frequency damping can reach 19.93%. The maximum error between the simulation and the experimental vibration response amplitude is 7.9%, which proves the correctness of the model and verifies that the YSZ-PTFE hard coating can significantly improve the vibration damping effect with very good application prospects. The major causal agents Fusarium graminearum (F. graminearum) and Fusarium asiaticum could produce multiple mycotoxins in infected wheat, which threatens the health of humans and animals. Specifically, deoxynivalenol (DON) and its derivatives 3- and 15-acetyldeoxynivalenol (3-ADON and 15-ADON) are commonly detected mycotoxins in cereal grains. However, the good chromatographic separation of 3-ADON and 15-ADON remains challenging. Here, an LC-MS/MS method for the chemotype determination of Fusarium strains was developed and validated. 3- and 15-ADON could be separated chromatographically in this study with sufficiently low limits of detection (LODs; 4 μg/kg) and limits of quantification (LOQs; 8 μg/kg). The satisfying intraday and interday reproducibility (both %RSDr and %RSDR were <20%) of this method indicated good stability. The recoveries of all analytes were in the range of 80–120%. In addition, three F. graminearum complex (FGC) strains, i.e., PH-1 (chemotype 15-ADON), F-1 (chemotype 3-ADON) and 5035 (chemotype 15-ADON), were selected to verify the accuracy of the method in differentiating phenotypes. The validation results showed that this LC-MS/MS method based on sample pretreatment is effective and suitable for the chromatographic separation of 3-ADON and 15-ADON in wheat. A series of novel 2-pyridyl, 4-morpholinyl substituted thiazolo[5,4-b]pyridine analogues have been designed and synthesized in this paper. These thiazolo[5,4-b]pyridines were efficiently prepared in seven steps from commercially available substances in moderate to good yields. All of these N-heterocyclic compounds were characterized by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) analysis and tested for phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) enzymatic assay. The results indicated that these N-heterocyclic compounds showed potent PI3K inhibitory activity, and the IC50 of a representative compound (19a) could reach to 3.6 nm. The structure−activity relationships (SAR) study showed that sulfonamide functionality was important for PI3Kα inhibitory activity, and 2-chloro-4-florophenyl sulfonamide (19b), or 5-chlorothiophene-2-sulfonamide (19c) showed potent inhibitory activity with a nanomolar IC50 value. The pyridyl attached to thiazolo[5,4-b]pyridine was another key structural unit for PI3Kα inhibitory potency, and replacement by phenyl lead to a significant decrease in activity. Enzymatic Inhibition results showed that compound 19a inhibited PI3Kα, PI3Kγ, or PI3Kδ with a nanomolar IC50 value, but its inhibitory activity on PI3Kβ was approximately 10-fold reduced. Efficient and instant detection of biological threat-agent anthrax is highly desired in the fields of medical care and anti-terrorism. Herein, a new ratiometric fluorescence (FL) nanoprobe was elaborately tailored for the determination of 2,6-dipicolinic acid (DPA), a biomarker of anthrax spores, by grafting terbium ions (Tb3+) to the surface of carbon dots (CDs). CDs with blue FL were fabricated by a simple and green method using schizochytrium as precursor and served as an FL reference and a supporting substrate for coordination with Tb3+. On account of the absorbance energy transfer emission effect (AETE), green emission peaks of Tb3+ in CDs-Tb nanoprobe appeared at 545 nm upon the addition of DPA. Under optimal conditions, good linearity between the ratio FL intensity of F545/F445 and the concentrations of DPA was observed within the experimental concentration range of 0.5–6 μM with the detection limit of 35.9 nM, which is superior to several literature studies and significantly lower than the infectious dosage of the Bacillus anthracis spores. Moreover, the CDs-Tb nanoprobe could sensitively detect DPA in the lake water sample. This work offers an efficient self-calibrating and background-free method for the determination of DPA. To obtain the wear-resistant camshaft with surface rigidity and core toughness and improve the service life of camshaft, wear-resistant Fe-based alloy gradient material was prepared by laser melt deposition. The traditional camshaft was forged by 12CrNi2V. In this paper, four types of wear-resistant Fe-based powders were designed by introducing various content of Cr3C2 and V-rich Fe-based alloy (FeV50) into stainless steel powder. The results showed that the gradient materials formed a satisfactory metallurgical bond. The composition of the phases was mainly composed of α-Fe, Cr23C6, and V2C phases. The increasing of Cr3C2 and FeV50 led to transform V2C into the V8C7. The microstructures were mainly cellular dendrite and intergranular structure. Due to the addition of Cr3C2 and FeV50, the average microhardness and wear resistance of gradient materials were significantly better than that of 12CrNi2V. The sample with 8% V had the highest microhardness of 853 ± 18 HV, which was 2.6 times higher than that of 12CrNi2V. The sample with 6% V had the best wear resistance, which was 21 times greater than that of 12CrNi2V. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this paper, the method of applying cognitive radar technology to marine radar is studied, and the cognitive marine radar structure and transmitted signal model with three control parameters are constructed. The selection method of waveform control parameters, which is based on the target spatial distribution and the reference target detection effect with the minimum emission energy as the criterion, is given. The transmission signal control selection method given in this paper can flexibly realize different emission signal groups of m × n × p groups by independently setting the values m, n and p of three control parameters. It does not require radar hardware circuit reconstruction to meet the radar waveform changes. This is more convenient for the technical realization of cognitive marine radar. According to the method of this paper, a cognitive marine radar test system was constructed. The experimental results show that the proposed radar could reduce the emission energy by 15.9 dB compared with the traditional fixed-parameter pulse compression marine radar under the experimental conditions. Developing effective methods for the instant detection of Cu2+ and S2− is highly desired in the biological and environmental fields. Herein, a novel fluorescent nanoprobe was elaborately designed and synthesized by grafting a phenanthroline derivative onto the surface of carbon dots (CDs). The obtained functionalized CDs (FCDs) exhibited blue fluorescence (FL) with excellent photostability and possessed a mean diameter around 4 nm. Cu2+ can be selectively captured by the phenanthroline group of FCDs to generate an absorptive complex in situ, leading to obvious quenching of the FCDs' FL signal through an inner filter effect. Furthermore, the FL of the FCD–Cu2+ can be effectively recovered by S2− anions due to the release of FCDs from the FCD–Cu2+ complex owing to the formation of stable CuS (Ksp = 1.27 × 10−36) between S2− and Cu2+. The detection limits of the FCDs were determined to be 40.1 nM and 88.9 nM for Cu2+ and S2−, respectively. Relevant, predictive normal, or disease model systems are of vital importance for drug development. The difference between nonhuman models and humans could contribute to clinical trial failures despite ideal nonhuman results. As a potential substitute for animal models, human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC)-derived cardiomyocytes (CMs) provide a powerful tool for drug toxicity screening, modeling cardiovascular diseases, and drug discovery. Here, we review recent hiPSC-CM disease models and discuss the features of hiPSC-CMs, including subtype and maturation and the tissue engineering technologies for drug assessment. Updates from the international multisite collaborators/administrations for development of novel drug discovery paradigms are also summarized.

Developmental genetic studies of Antirrhinum majus demonstrated that two transcription factors from the MYB gene family, RADIALIS (RAD) and DIVIRICATA (DIV), interact through antagonism to regulate floral dorsoventral asymmetry. Interestingly, similar antagonistic interaction found among proteins of FSM1 (RAD-like) and MYBI (DIV-like) in Solanum lycopersicum is involved in fruit development. Here, we report the reconstruction of the phylogeny of I-box-like and R-R-type clades, where RAD - and DIV -like genes belong, respectively. We also examined the homology of these antagonistic MYB proteins using these phylogenies. The results show that there are likely three paralogs of RAD -/ I-box -like genes, RAD1, RAD2, and RAD3, which originated in the common ancestor of the core eudicots. In contrast, R-R -type sequences fall into two major clades, RR1 and RR2, the result of gene duplication in the common ancestor of both monocots and dicots. RR1 was divided into clades RR1A, RR1B, and RR1C, while RR2 was divided into clades RR2A/DIV1, RR2B/DIV2, and RR2C/DIV3. We demonstrate that among similar antagonistic interactions in An. Majus and So. lycopersicum , RAD -like genes originate from the RAD2 clade, while DIV -like genes originate from distantly related paralogs of the R-R-type lineage. In order to use the existing automatic identification system (AIS) to provide additional navigation and positioning services, a complete pseudorange measurements solution is presented in this paper. Through the mathematical analysis of the AIS signal, the bit-0-phases in the digital sequences were determined as the timestamps. Monte Carlo simulation was carried out to compare the accuracy of the zero-crossing and differential peak, which are two timestamp detection methods in the additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel. Considering the low-speed and low-dynamic motion characteristics of ships, an optimal estimation method based on the minimum mean square error is proposed to improve detection accuracy. Furthermore, the α difference filter algorithm was used to achieve the fusion of the optimal estimation results of the two detection methods. The results show that the algorithm can greatly improve the accuracy of pseudorange estimation under low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) conditions. In order to verify the effectiveness of the scheme, prototypes containing the measurement scheme were developed and field tests in Xinghai Bay of Dalian (China) were performed. A novel quartz enhanced photoacoustic spectroscopy (QEPAS) trace gas detection scheme is reported in this paper. A cylindrical lens was employed for near-infrared laser focusing. The laser beam was shaped as a planar line laser between the gap of the quartz tuning fork (QTF) prongs. Compared with a spherical lens-based QEPAS sensor, the cylindrical lens-based QEPAS sensor has the advantages of easier laser beam alignment and a reduction of stringent stability requirements. Therefore, the reported approach is useful in long-term and continuous sensor operation.

In order to overcome the vulnerability of the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) and provide robust position, navigation and time (PNT) information in marine navigation, the autonomous positioning system based on ranging-mode Automatic Identification System (AIS) is presented in the paper. The principle of the AIS autonomous positioning system (AAPS) is investigated, including the position algorithm, the signal measurement technique, the geometric dilution of precision, the time synchronization technique and the additional secondary factor correction technique. In order to validate the proposed AAPS, a verification system has been established in the Xinghai sea region of Dalian (China). Static and dynamic positioning experiments are performed. The original function of the AIS in the AAPS is not influenced. The experimental results show that the positioning precision of the AAPS is better than 10 m in the area with good geometric dilution of precision (GDOP) by the additional secondary factor correction technology. This is the most economical solution for a land-based positioning system to complement the GNSS for the navigation safety of vessels sailing along coasts.

A sensitive trace gas sensor platform based on quartz-enhanced photoacoustic spectroscopy (QEPAS) is reported. A 1.395 μm continuous wave (CW), distributed feedback pigtailed diode laser was used as the excitation source and H2O was selected as the target analyte. Two kinds of quartz tuning forks (QTFs) with a resonant frequency (f0) of 30.72 kHz and 38 kHz were employed for the first time as an acoustic wave transducer, respectively for QEPAS instead of a standard QTF with a f0 of 32.768 kHz. The QEPAS sensor performance using the three different QTFs was experimentally investigated and theoretically analyzed. A minimum detection limit of 5.9 ppmv and 4.3 ppmv was achieved for f0 of 32.768 kHz and 30.72 kHz, respectively.
