The electrocardiogram (ECG) signal describes the heart's electrical activity, allowing it to detect several health conditions, including cardiac system abnormalities and dysfunctions. Nowadays, most patient medical records are still paper-based, especially those made in past decades. The importance of collecting digitized ECGs is twofold: firstly, all medical applications can be easily implemented with an engineering approach if the ECGs are treated as signals; secondly, paper ECGs can deteriorate over time, therefore a correct evaluation of the patient's clinical evolution is not always guaranteed. The goal of this paper is the realization of an automatic conversion algorithm from paper-based ECGs (images) to digital ECG signals. The algorithm involves a digitization process tested on an image set of 16 subjects, also with pathologies. The quantitative analysis of the digitization method is carried out by evaluating the repeatability and reproducibility of the algorithm. The digitization accuracy is evaluated both on the entire signal and on six ECG time parameters (R-R peak distance, QRS complex duration, QT interval, PQ interval, P-wave duration, and heart rate). Results demonstrate the algorithm efficiency has an average Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.94 and measurement errors of the ECG time parameters are always less than 1 mm. There are several complex and unpredictable aspects that affect the power grid. To make short-term power load forecasting more accurate, a short-term power load forecasting model that utilizes the VMD-Crossformer is suggested in this paper. First, the ideal number of decomposition layers was ascertained using a variational mode decomposition (VMD) parameter optimum approach based on the Pearson correlation coefficient (PCC). Second, the original data was decomposed into multiple modal components using VMD, and then the original data were reconstructed with the modal components. Finally, the reconstructed data were input into the Crossformer network, which utilizes the cross-dimensional dependence of multivariate time series (MTS) prediction; that is, the dimension-segment-wise (DSW) embedding and the two-stage attention (TSA) layer were designed to establish a hierarchical encoder–decoder (HED), and the final prediction was performed using information from different scales. The experimental results show that the method could accurately predict the electricity load with high accuracy and reliability. The MAE, MAPE, and RMSE were 61.532 MW, 1.841%, and 84.486 MW, respectively, for dataset I. The MAE, MAPE, and RMSE were 68.906 MW, 0.847%, and 89.209 MW, respectively, for dataset II. Due to their lack of periodontal ligaments (PLs) and the differences between dental implants and natural teeth, it is necessary to improve and generate a new occlusal scheme to prolong the life of implants and prostheses. The age and the sex of patients must be considered because of their effects on the stomatognathic system's physiology. Operators must manage all the changes to obtain good sensations during mastication and a better occlusal scheme for implanting fixed partial prostheses. Dentists should try to protect this type of prosthesis using adjacent teeth and the PL. This is why new digital systems were created. The combination of T-Scan® (digital software for occlusal analysis) and electromyography (EMG) could allow doctors to find areas where it is necessary to act and to find suitable solutions for the problems generated by using conventional methods of occlusal analysis (such as articulating paper). In this study, a new method for establishing occlusion on fixed partial implant prostheses has been created, combining digital systems with conventional articulating paper. This method consists of asking the patient to bite down with different forces and situations in an attempt to achieve Implant-Protected Occlusion (IPO). The use of digital systems has been shown to be more effective than using only conventional systems. This new method allows a safer mode of occlusion which protects implants and prostheses, saving all the differences between them and natural teeth, and increasing the satisfaction of patients. Short-term power load forecasting is of great significance for the reliable and safe operation of power systems. In order to improve the accuracy of short-term load forecasting, for the problems of random fluctuation in load and the complexity of load-influencing factors, this paper proposes a two-stage short-term load forecasting method, SSA–VMD-LSTM-MLR-FE (SVLM–FE) based on sparrow search algorithm (SSA), to optimize variational mode decomposition (VMD) and feature engineering (FE). Firstly, an evaluation criterion on the loss of VMD decomposition is proposed, and SSA is used to find the optimal combination of parameters for VMD under this criterion. Secondly, the first stage of forecasting is carried out, and the different components obtained from SSA–VMD are predicted separately, with the high-frequency components input to a long short-term memory network (LSTM) for forecasting and the low-frequency components input to a multiple linear regression model (MLR) for forecasting. Finally, the forecasting values of the components obtained in the first stage are input to the second stage for error correction; factors with a high degree of influence on the load are selected using the Pearson correlation coefficient (PCC) and maximal information coefficient (MIC), and the load value at the moment that has a great influence on the load value at the time to be predicted is selected using autocorrelation function (ACF). The forecasting values of the components are fused with the selected feature values to construct a vector, which is fed into the fully connected layer for forecasting. In this paper, the performance of SVLM–FE is evaluated experimentally on two datasets from two places in China. In Place 1, the RMSE, MAE, and MAPE are 128.169 MW, 102.525 MW, and 1.562%, respectively; in Place 2, the RMSE, MAE, and MAPE are 111.636 MW, 92.291 MW, and 1.426%, respectively. Deep learning (DL) has been frequently applied in the image reconstruction of electromagnetic tomography (EMT) in recent years. It offers the potential to achieve higher-quality image reconstruction. Among these, research on samples is relatively scarce. Samples are the cornerstone for both large and small models, which is easy to ignore. In this paper, a deep learning electromagnetic tomography (DL-EMT) model with nine elements is established. Complete simulation and experimental samples are obtained based on this model. On the sample sets, the reconstruction quality is observed by adjusting the size and configuration of the training set. The Mann–Whitney U test shows that beyond a certain point, the addition of more samples to the training data fed into the deep learning network does not result in an obvious improvement statistically in the quality of the reconstructed images. This paper proposes a CC-building method for optimizing a sample set. This method is based on the Pearson correlation coefficient calculation, aiming to establish a more effective sample base for DL-EMT image reconstruction. Biochar is a biomaterial obtained by pyrolysis with high porosity and high specific surface area (SSA), which is widely used in several fields. The yield of biochar has an important effect on production cost and utilization efficiency, while SSA plays a key role in adsorption, catalysis, and pollutant removal. The preparation of biochar materials with better SSA is currently one of the frontiers in this research field. However, traditional methods are time consuming and laborious, so this paper developed a machine learning model to predict and study the properties of biochar efficiently for engineering through cross-validation and hyper parameter tuning. This paper used 622 data samples to predict the yield and SSA of biochar and selected eXtreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) as the model due to its excellent performance in terms of performance (yield correlation coefficient R2 = 0.79 and SSA correlation coefficient R2 = 0.92) and analyzed it using Shapley Additive Explanation. Using the Pearson correlation coefficient matrix revealed the correlations between the input parameters and the biochar yield and SSA. Results showed the important features affecting biochar yield were temperature and biomass feedstock, while the important features affecting SSA were ash and retention time. Background: We aimed to compare among patients with high-type anorectal malformations (ARM): (i) short- and long-term outcomes of laparoscopic-assisted anorectoplasty (LAARP) compared to classic posterior sagittal anorectoplasty (PSARP) and (ii) the results of single-stage versus staged PSARP. Methods: Using a defined search strategy, two independent investigators systematically reviewed the English literature. PRISMA guidelines were followed, and meta-analysis was performed using RevMan5.3. Results: Of 567 abstracts screened, 7 papers have been included (254 pts; 121 PSARP, 133 LAARP) in the first systematic review and meta-analysis. The length of hospitalization was shortened in LAARP versus PSARP (10.9 versus 14.4 days; p < 0.0001). PSARP and LAARP were comparable in terms of early postoperative complications (28.9% versus 24.7%; p = ns) and rectal prolapse (21.6% versus 17.5%; p = ns). At long-term follow-up, the presence of voluntary bowel movements (74.0% versus 83.5%; p = ns) and the incidence of soiling (45.5% versus 47.6%; p = ns) were similar in both PSARP and LAARP. Six papers (297 pts) were included in the second systematic review, with three comparative studies included in the meta-analysis (247 pts; 117 one-stage, 130 staged procedures). No significant difference in terms of presence of voluntary bowel movements after single-stage versus staged procedures (72.6% versus 67.3%; p = ns) has been detected. Conclusions: LAARP seems to be a safe and effective procedure, showing short- and long-term outcomes similar to PSARP. One-stage PSARP could be a safe alternative to the classic three-stage procedure, even for those infants with high-type ARM. The precision of short-term photovoltaic power forecasts is of utmost importance for the planning and operation of the electrical grid system. To enhance the precision of short-term output power prediction in photovoltaic systems, this paper proposes a method integrating K-means clustering: an improved snake optimization algorithm with a convolutional neural network–bidirectional long short-term memory network to predict short-term photovoltaic power. Firstly, K-means clustering is utilized to categorize weather scenarios into three categories: sunny, cloudy, and rainy. The Pearson correlation coefficient method is then utilized to determine the inputs of the model. Secondly, the snake optimization algorithm is improved by introducing Tent chaotic mapping, lens imaging backward learning, and an optimal individual adaptive perturbation strategy to enhance its optimization ability. Then, the multi-strategy improved snake optimization algorithm is employed to optimize the parameters of the convolutional neural network–bidirectional long short-term memory network model, thereby augmenting the predictive precision of the model. Finally, the model established in this paper is utilized to forecast photovoltaic power in diverse weather scenarios. The simulation findings indicate that the regression coefficients of this method can reach 0.99216, 0.95772, and 0.93163 on sunny, cloudy, and rainy days, which has better prediction precision and adaptability under various weather conditions. In the context of large-scale wind power access to the power system, it is urgent to explore new probabilistic supply–demand analysis methods. This paper proposes a wind power stochastic and extreme scenario generation method considering wind power–temperature correlations and carries out probabilistic supply–demand balance analysis based on it. Firstly, the influence of temperature on wind power output is analyzed via Pearson coefficient to obtain the correlation between wind power and temperature. Secondly, based on the historical wind power curve, a large number of wind power output scenarios are randomly generated while fully preserving its characteristics, and probabilistic supply–demand analysis is carried out. Thirdly, for the extreme case of continuous multi-day extreme heat without wind, extreme scenarios are selected from the generated scenarios for supply–demand balance analysis. Finally, a practical example in a province in central-eastern China is used to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. The results indicate that the scenario generation method can effectively capture the historical wind power characteristics and can be better applied to the diversified supply and demand balance analysis to obtain more accurate analysis results. In order to realize the accurate and reliable prediction of the change trend of dissolved oxygen (DO) content in California perch aquaculture water, this paper proposes a second-order hybrid optimization support vector machine (SVR) model based on Differential Evolution (DE) and Gray Wolf Optimizer (GWO), shortened to DE-GWO-SVR, to predict the DO content with the characteristics of nonlinear and non-smooth water quality data. Experimentally, data for the water quality, including pH, water temperature, conductivity, salinity, total dissolved solids, and DO, were collected. Pearson's correlation coefficient (PPMCC) was applied to explore the correlation between each water quality parameter and DO content. The optimal DE-GWO-SVR model was established and compared with models based on SVR, back-propagation neural network (BPNN), and their optimization models. The results show that the DE-GWO-SVR model proposed in this paper can effectively realize the nonlinear prediction and global optimization performance. Its R2, MSE, MAE and RMSE can be up to 0.94, 0.108, 0.2629, and 0.3293, respectively, which is better than those of other models. This research provides guidance for the efficient prediction of DO in perch aquaculture water bodies for increasing the aquaculture effectiveness and reducing the aquaculture risk, providing a new exploratory path for water quality monitoring. As a core component of new energy vehicles, accurate estimation of the State of Health (SOH) of lithium-ion power batteries is essential. Correctly predicting battery SOH plays a crucial role in extending the lifespan of new energy vehicles, ensuring their safety, and promoting their sustainable development. Traditional physical or electrochemical models have low accuracy in measuring the SOH of lithium batteries and are not suitable for the complex driving conditions of real-world vehicles. This study utilized the black-box characteristics of deep learning models to explore the intrinsic correlations in the historical cycling data of lithium batteries, thereby eliminating the need to consider the internal chemical reactions of lithium batteries. Through Pearson correlation analysis, this study selects health indicators (HIs) from lithium battery cycling data that significantly impact SOH as input features. In the field of lithium batteries, this paper applies ABC-BiGRU for the first time to SOH prediction. Compared with other recursive neural network models, ABC-BiGRU demonstrates superior predictive performance, with maximum root mean square error and mean absolute error of only 0.016799317 and 0.012626847, respectively. Harmful algal blooms (HABs) pose a global threat to the biodiversity and stability of local aquatic ecosystems. Rapid and accurate classification of microalgae and cyanobacteria in water is increasingly desired for monitoring complex water environments. In this paper, we propose a pulse feature-enhanced classification (PFEC) method as a potential solution. Equipped with a rapid measurement prototype that simultaneously detects polarized light scattering and fluorescence signals of individual particles, PFEC allows for the extraction of 38 pulse features to improve the classification accuracy of microalgae, cyanobacteria, and other suspended particulate matter (SPM) to 89.03%. Compared with microscopic observation, PFEC reveals three phyla proportions in aquaculture samples with an average error of less than 14%. In this paper, PFEC is found to be more accurate than the pulse-average classification method, which is interpreted as pulse features carrying more detailed information about particles. The high consistency of the dominant and common species between PFEC and microscopy in all field samples also demonstrates the flexibility and robustness of the former. Moreover, the high Pearson correlation coefficient accounting for 0.958 between the cyanobacterial proportion obtained by PFEC and the cyanobacterial density given by microscopy implies that PFEC serves as a promising early warning tool for cyanobacterial blooms. The purpose of this paper is to explore the implementation of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) technology with open-source large language models (LLMs). A dedicated web-based application, PaSSER, was developed, integrating RAG with Mistral:7b, Llama2:7b, and Orca2:7b models. Various software instruments were used in the application's development. PaSSER employs a set of evaluation metrics, including METEOR, ROUGE, BLEU, perplexity, cosine similarity, Pearson correlation, and F1 score, to assess LLMs' performance, particularly within the smart agriculture domain. The paper presents the results and analyses of two tests. One test assessed the performance of LLMs across different hardware configurations, while the other determined which model delivered the most accurate and contextually relevant responses within RAG. The paper discusses the integration of blockchain with LLMs to manage and store assessment results within a blockchain environment. The tests revealed that GPUs are essential for fast text generation, even for 7b models. Orca2:7b on Mac M1 was the fastest, and Mistral:7b had superior performance on the 446 question–answer dataset. The discussion is on technical and hardware considerations affecting LLMs' performance. As the core component of a ship's engine room, the operation of a marine diesel engine (MDE) directly affects the economy and safety of the entire vessel. Predicting the future changes in the status parameters of a MDE helps to understand the operational status, enabling timely warnings to the engine crew, and to ensure the safe navigation of the vessel. Therefore, this paper combines the temporal pattern attention mechanism with the bidirectional long short-term memory (BiLSTM) network to propose a novel trend prediction method for short-term exhaust gas temperature (EGT) forecasting. First, the Pearson correlation analysis (PCA) is conducted to identify input feature variables that are strongly correlated with the EGT. Next, the BiLSTM network models input feature variables such as load, fuel oil pressure, and scavenging air pressure and capture the interrelationships between different vectors from the hidden layer matrix within the BiLSTM network. This allows the selection of valuable information across different time steps. Meanwhile, the temporal pattern attention (TPA) mechanism has the ability to explore complex nonlinear dependencies between different time steps and series. This assigns appropriate weights to the feature variables within different time steps of the BiLSTM hidden layer, thereby influencing the input effect. Finally, the improved slime mold algorithm (ISMA) is utilized to optimize the hyperparameters of the prediction model to achieve the best level of short-term EGT trend prediction performance based on the ISMA-BiLSTM-TPA model. The prediction results show that the mean square error, the mean absolute percentage error, the root mean square error and the coefficient of determination of the model are 0.4284, 0.1076, 0.6545 and 98.2%, respectively. With the rapid development of the economy and continuous improvement in people's living standards, the predictions of the air quality index have attracted wide attention. In this paper, a new feature selection method (Pearson-MI) and a combined model construction method (modified inverse variance method) were proposed to study the air quality index (AQI) and its influencing factors in Changchun. The Pearson-MI method selects the factors that affect the AQI of Changchun City from many influencing factors. This method reduces the RMSE of the LSTM model and XGBoost model by 27% and 5% and the MAE by 41% and 5%, respectively. A model that combines XGBoost, SVR, RF, and LSTM was constructed using the inverse variance method to predict the air quality index of Changchun City. The modified combined model resulted in a 2% reduction in RMSE and a 0.6% reduction in MAE compared with the unmodified combined model. The numerical results of our study show that the prediction accuracy of the modified combined model is obviously higher than that of the basic model, and the prediction accuracy is further improved under the Pearson-MI feature selection. In order to improve the subjective and objective consistency of image sharpness evaluation while meeting the requirement of image content irrelevance, this paper proposes an improved sharpness evaluation method without a reference image. First, the positions of the edge points are obtained by a Canny edge detection algorithm based on the activation mechanism. Then, the edge direction detection algorithm based on the grayscale information of the eight neighboring pixels is used to acquire the edge direction of each edge point. Further, the edge width is solved to establish the histogram of edge width. Finally, according to the performance of three distance factors based on the histogram information, the type 3 distance factor is introduced into the weighted average edge width solving model to obtain the sharpness evaluation index. The image sharpness evaluation method proposed in this paper was tested on the LIVE database. The test results were as follows: the Pearson linear correlation coefficient (CC) was 0.9346, the root mean square error (RMSE) was 5.78, the mean absolute error (MAE) was 4.9383, the Spearman rank-order correlation coefficient (ROCC) was 0.9373, and the outlier rate (OR) as 0. In addition, through a comparative analysis with two other methods and a real shooting experiment, the superiority and effectiveness of the proposed method in performance were verified. In this paper, a new method that computes the aesthetics of a melody fragment is proposed, starting from dissonances. While music generated with artificial intelligence applications may be produced considerably more quickly than human-composed music, it has the drawback of not being appreciated like a human composition, being many times perceived by humans as artificial. For achieving supervised machine learning objectives of improving the quality of the great number of generated melodies, it is a challenge to ask humans to grade them. Therefore, it would be preferable if the aesthetics of artificial-intelligence-generated music is calculated by an algorithm. The proposed method in this paper is based on a neural network and a mathematical formula, which has been developed with the help of a study in which 108 students evaluated the aesthetics of several melodies. For evaluation, numerical values generated by this method were compared with ratings provided by human listeners from a second study in which 30 students participated and scores were generated by an existing different method developed by psychologists and three other methods developed by musicians. Our method achieved a Pearson correlation of 0.49 with human aesthetic scores, which is a much better result than other methods obtained. Rice false smut (RFS) is a late-onset fungal disease that primarily affects rice panicle in recent years. Severe RFS can decrease the yield by 20–30% and severely affect rice quality. This research used hyperspectral remote sensing data from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). On the basis of genetic algorithm combined with partial least squares to select the feature bands, this paper creates a new method to use the Pearson correlation coefficient method and Instability Index between Classes (ISIC) method to further select characteristic bands, which further eliminated 27.78% of the feature bands when the model monitoring accuracy was improved overall. The prediction accuracy of the Gradient Boosting Decision Tree model and Random Forest model was the best, which were 85.62% and 84.10%, respectively, and the monitoring accuracy was improved by 2.22% and 2.4% compared with that before optimization. Then, based on the UAV hyperspectral data and the combination of characteristic bands selected by the three band optimization methods, the sensitive band ranges of rice false smut monitoring were determined, which were 698–800 nm and 974–997 nm. Timely short-term spatial air quality forecasting is essential for monitoring and prevention in urban agglomerations, providing a new perspective on joint air pollution prevention. However, a single model on air pollution forecasting or spatial correlation analysis is insufficient to meet the strong demand. Thus, this paper proposed a complex real-time monitoring and decision-making assistance system, using a hybrid forecasting module and social network analysis. Firstly, before an accurate forecasting module was constructed, text sentiment analysis and a strategy based on multiple feature selection methods and result fusion were introduced to data preprocessing. Subsequently, CNN-D-LSTM was proposed to improve the feature capture ability to make forecasting more accurate. Then, social network analysis was utilized to explore the spatial transporting characteristics, which could provide solutions to joint prevention and control in urban agglomerations. For experiment simulation, two comparative experiments were constructed for individual models and city cluster forecasting, in which the mean absolute error decreases to 7.8692 and the Pearson correlation coefficient is 0.9816. For overall spatial cluster forecasting, related experiments demonstrated that with appropriate cluster division, the Pearson correlation coefficient could be improved to nearly 0.99. Featured Application: This research contributes to the development of a technological method to obtain highly accurate vehicle trajectory data. The reconstructed trajectory data play a key role in traffic state prediction, traffic management and the decision making of autonomous vehicles and robots. Vehicle trajectory usually suffers from a large number of outliers and observation noises. This paper proposes a novel framework for reconstructing vehicle trajectories. The framework integrates the wavelet transform, Lagrange interpolation and Kalman filtering. The wavelet transform based on waveform decomposition in the time and frequency domain is used to identify the abnormal frequency of a trajectory. Lagrange interpolation is used to estimate the value of data points after outliers are removed. This framework improves computation efficiency in data segmentation. The Kalman filter uses normal and predicted data to obtain reasonable results, and the algorithm makes an optimal estimation that has a better denoising effect. The proposed framework is compared with a baseline framework on the trajectory data in the NGSIM dataset. The experimental results showed that the proposed framework can achieve a 45.76% lower root mean square error, 26.43% higher signal-to-noise ratio and 25.58% higher Pearson correlation coefficient. This paper focuses on using a novel approach to assess the statistical variability of management data from an aerobic thermophilic biological plant (AWTP) utilizing a fluidized bed biological reactor. A proper statistical characterization of full-scale thermophilic biological systems, in fact, may inform process optimization in the light of a future automation of treatment plants. We present a case study that spans the period from 2018 to 2023 and encompasses various high-strength aqueous waste (AW) in continuous mode. Key aspects of the proposed analytical approach include: (i) utilizing advanced descriptive statistics, such as violin graphs, to depict the variability of monitored parameters over five years; (ii) conducting correlation analyses (Spearman and Pearson correlation matrices) specifically focusing on nitrogenous forms within the AW; (iii) applying multivariate statistical analysis to assess the correlation between pollutants released and the plant's energy and oxygen consumption; and (iv) reconstructing parameter trends by considering periodic and random components, thus enhancing the understanding of the system's behavior over time. The findings presented in this paper offer valuable insights into the performance and optimization of AWTPs, potentially leading to a proper planning of the loads and consequent feeding of the plants. Wind energy reserves are large worldwide, but their randomness and volatility hinder wind power development. To promote the utilization of wind energy and improve the accuracy of wind power prediction, we comprehensively consider the influence of wind farm environmental factors and historical power on wind power generation. This paper presents a short-term wind power prediction model based on time convolution neural network (TCN) and variational mode decomposition (VMD). First, due to the non-smooth characteristics of the wind farm environmental data, this paper uses VMD to decompose the data of each environmental variable to reduce the influence of the random noise of the data on the prediction model. Then, the modal components with rich feature information are extracted according to the Pearson correlation coefficient and Maximal information coefficient (MIC) between each modal component and the power. Thirdly, a prediction model based on TCN is trained according to the preferred modal components and historical power data to achieve accurate short-term wind power prediction. In this paper, the model is trained and tested with a public wind power dataset provided by the Spanish Power Company. The simulation results show that the model has higher prediction accuracy, with MAPE and R2 are 2.79% and 0.9985, respectively. Landslide disasters frequently result in significant casualties and property losses, underscoring the critical importance of research on landslide displacement prediction. This paper introduces an approach combining improved empirical mode decomposition (ICEEMDAN) and singular entropy-enhanced singular spectrum analysis (SSA) to predict landslide displacement using a time series short-duration memory network (LSTM). Initially, ICEEMDAN decomposes the landslide displacement time series into trend and periodic terms. SSA is then employed to denoise these components before fitting the trend term with LSTM. Pearson correlation analysis is utilized to identify characteristic factors within the LSTM model, followed by predictions using a multivariate LSTM model. The empirical results from the Baijiabao landslide in the Three Gorges Reservoir area demonstrate that the joint ICEEMDAN-SSA approach, when combined with LSTM modeling, outperforms the separate applications of SSA and ICEEMDAN, as well as other models such as RNN and SVM. Specifically, the ICEEMDAN-SSA-LSTM model achieves an RMSE of 6.472 mm and an MAE of 4.992 mm, which are considerably lower than those of the RNN model (19.945 mm and 15.343 mm, respectively) and the SVM model (16.584 mm and 11.748 mm, respectively). Additionally, the R2 value for the ICEEMDAN-SSA-LSTM model is 97.5%, significantly higher than the RNN model's 72.3% and the SVM model's 92.8%. By summing the predictions of the trend and periodic terms, the cumulative displacement prediction is obtained, indicating the superior accuracy of the ICEEMDAN-SSA-LSTM model. Form aesthetic principles represent an aesthetic consciousness developed through long-term human labor practices, which are crucial for the design and evaluation of product form. The equilibrium aesthetic principle is a vital component of the form aesthetic principles, significantly influencing other form aesthetic principles. This study introduces a method for product form design and evaluation using an improved equilibrium measurement formula that incorporates the number of form elements and is structured in three phases: design (phase 1), evaluation (phase 2), and analysis (phase 3). In phase 1, the primary functional units (form elements) of the target product are identified, and its potential spatial arrangements are analyzed. Clay models, 2D wireframes, and 3D models are constructed based on spatial layout schemes, yielding several alternatives. In phase 2, the original equilibrium measurement formula (E_I), the improved equilibrium measurement formula (E_II), and expert perceptual questionnaires (E_III) are applied to evaluate the alternatives, obtaining their respective rankings. In phase 3, a Pearson correlation analysis is conducted on the three evaluation results, followed by a discussion of the research findings. The results show a significant correlation between E_II and E_III, with a correlation coefficient of 0.986, enabling the selection of the optimal design solution based on their rankings. The findings indicate that incorporating the number of form elements as a new parameter in the measurement formula enhances the accuracy and effectiveness of form aesthetic measurement. The classification of surrounding rock is crucial for formulating safe tunnel construction plans and support measures. However, the complex geological environment of tunnels presents a challenge in obtaining accurate drilling parameters for rock mass classification. This paper presents the development of a rock drilling testing system, which includes a propulsion speed acquisition system, oil pressure acquisition system, air pressure acquisition system, and an automatic data acquisition system. This system enables real-time, high-precision automatic collection and storage of parameters such as propulsion speed, with data collected twice per second for each parameter. Leveraging the Qingdao Metro Line 6 as a case study, we conducted rock mass drilling and constructed a rock mass classification database. By employing kernel density estimation and Pearson correlation analysis, we quantified the correlation between rock mass classification and the drilling parameters. The results indicated that relying on a single drilling parameter is insufficient for accurately determining rock mass classification. Both impact pressure and rotational pressure showed the strongest correlation with rock mass classification, each with a correlation coefficient below −0.8 (indicating a strong negative correlation). Outlier values of drilling parameters were excluded using the interval method. Based on the remaining data, we established an intelligent rock mass classification model using the random forest algorithm. This model demonstrated good accuracy and generalization performance, with an average accuracy exceeding 0.9. The proposed rock drilling testing system, combined with the intelligent rock mass classification model, forms an integrated system for the intelligent identification of rock mass grades. The gas chromatography analysis method for chemical substances enables accurate analysis to precisely distinguish the components of a mixture. This paper presents a technique for augmenting time-series data of chemicals measured by gas chromatography instruments with artificial intelligence techniques such as generative adversarial networks (GAN). We propose a novel GAN algorithm called GCGAN for gas chromatography data, a unified model of autoencoder (AE) and GAN for effective time-series data learning with an attention mechanism. The proposed GCGAN utilizes AE to learn a limited number of data more effectively. We also build a layer of high-performance generative adversarial neural networks based on the analysis of the features of data measured by gas chromatography instruments. Then, based on the proposed learning, we synthesize the features embedded in the gas chromatography data into a feature distribution that extracts the temporal variability. GCGAN synthesizes the features embedded in the gas chromatography data into a feature distribution that extracts the temporal variability of the data over time. We have fully implemented the proposed GCGAN and experimentally verified that the data augmented by the GCGAN have the characteristic properties of the original gas chromatography data. The augmented data demonstrate high quality with the Pearson correlation coefficient, Spearman correlation coefficient, and cosine similarity all exceeding 0.9, significantly enhancing the performance of AI classification models by 40%. Cancer research has increasingly utilized multi-omics analysis in recent decades to obtain biomolecular information from multiple layers, thereby gaining a better understanding of complex biological systems. However, the curse of dimensionality is one of the most significant challenges when handling omics or biological data. Additionally, integrating multi-omics by transforming different omics types into a new representation can reduce a model's interpretability, as the extracted features may lose the biological context. This paper proposes Iterative Similarity Bagging (ISB), assisted by Bayesian Ridge Regression (BRR). BRR serves as a domain-oriented supervised feature selection method, choosing essential features by calculating the coefficients for each feature. Despite this, the BRR output datasets contain many features, leading to complexity and high dimensionality. To address this, ISB was introduced to dynamically reduce dimensionality and complexity without losing the biological integrity of the omics data, which often occurs with transformation-based integration approaches. The evaluation measures employed were Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), the Pearson Correlation Coefficient (PCC), and the coefficient of determination (R2). The results demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms some current models in terms of regression performance, achieving an RMSE of 0.12, a PCC of 0.879, and an R2 of 0.77 for the CCLE. With escalating human activities and the substantial emissions of greenhouse gases, global warming intensifies. This phenomenon has led to increased occurrences of various extreme hydrological events, precipitating significant changes in lakes and rivers across the Qinghai Tibet Plateau. Therefore, accurate information extraction about and delineation of water bodies are crucial for lake monitoring. This paper proposes a methodology based on the Normalized Difference Water Index (NDWI) and Gumbel distribution to determine optimal segmentation thresholds. Focusing on Qinghai Lake, this study utilizes multispectral characteristics from the US Landsat satellite for analysis. Comparative assessments with seven alternative methods are conducted to evaluate accuracy. Employing the proposed approach, information about water bodies in Qinghai Lake is extracted over 38 years, from 1986 to 2023, revealing trends in area variation. Analysis indicates a rising trend in Qinghai Lake's area following a turning point in 2004. To investigate this phenomenon, Pearson correlation analysis of temperature and precipitation over the past 38 years is used and unveils the fact that slight precipitation impacts on area and that there is a positive correlation between temperature and area. The blood oxygen saturation, which indicates the ratio of oxygenated hemoglobin to total hemoglobin in the blood, is closely related to one's health status. Oxygen saturation is typically measured using a pulse oximeter. However, this method can cause skin irritation, and in situations where there is a risk of infectious diseases, the use of such contact-based oxygen saturation measurement devices can increase the risk of infection. Therefore, recently, methods for estimating oxygen saturation using facial or hand images have been proposed. In this paper, we propose a method for estimating oxygen saturation from facial images based on a convolutional neural network (CNN). Particularly, instead of arbitrarily calculating the AC and DC components, which are essential for measuring oxygen saturation, we directly utilized signals obtained from facial images to train the model and predict oxygen saturation. Moreover, to account for the time-consuming nature of accurately measuring oxygen saturation, we diversified the model inputs. As a result, for inputs of 10 s, the Pearson correlation coefficient was calculated as 0.570, the mean absolute error was 1.755%, the root mean square error was 2.284%, and the intraclass correlation coefficient was 0.574. For inputs of 20 s, these metrics were calculated as 0.630, 1.720%, 2.219%, and 0.681, respectively. For inputs of 30 s, they were calculated as 0.663, 2.142%, 2.612%, and 0.646, respectively. This confirms that it is possible to estimate oxygen saturation without calculating the AC and DC components, which heavily influence the prediction results. Furthermore, we analyzed how the trained model predicted oxygen saturation through 'SHapley Additive exPlanations' and found significant variations in the feature contributions among participants. Identifying influential actors within social networks is pivotal for optimizing information flow and mitigating the spread of both rumors and viruses. Several methods have emerged to pinpoint these influential entities in networks, represented as graphs. In these graphs, nodes correspond to individuals and edges indicate their connections. This study focuses on centrality measures, prized for their straightforwardness and effectiveness. We divide structural centrality into two categories: local, considering a node's immediate vicinity, and global, accounting for overarching path structures. Some techniques blend both centralities to highlight nodes influential at both micro and macro levels. Our paper presents a novel centrality measure, accentuating node degree and incorporating the network's broader features, especially paths of different lengths. Through Spearman and Pearson correlations tested on seven standard datasets, our method proves its merit against traditional centrality measures. Additionally, we employ the susceptible–infected–recovered (SIR) model, portraying virus spread, to further validate our approach. The ultimate influential node is gauged by its capacity to infect the most nodes during the SIR model's progression. The PM2.5 index is an important basis for measuring the degree of air pollution. The accurate prediction of PM2.5 concentration has an important guiding role in air pollution prevention and control. The Pearson Correlation Coefficient (PCC) is a common index used to mine the correlation between meteorological factors and other air pollutants. However, this index cannot be used to mine non-linear correlations, nor can it quantitatively analyze the weight of each related attribute. In order to accurately explore the correlation between meteorological factors and other air pollutants and to achieve an accurate prediction of PM2.5 concentration, this paper proposes a short- and long-time memory (LSTM) network prediction model based on Copula entropy (CE) and the adaptive genetic algorithm (AGA). By calculating CE, the correlation between multiple meteorological factors and various atmospheric pollutants and PM2.5 was analyzed. The correlation of influencing factors was sorted according to the size of the correlation coefficients. The contribution rate of meteorological factors and atmospheric pollutants to PM2.5 concentration was determined, used as the weight of each influencing factor and predicted as the input data of the prediction model. In this paper, a long- and short-term memory network (LSTM) suitable for time series data was selected as the prediction model, while the selection of model parameters was taken into account, and the relevant parameters were sought by an adaptive genetic algorithm (AGA). The air pollutant data and meteorological data of Beijing from 1 January 2016 to 31 December 2016 were selected, and MAE and RMSE were used as evaluation indexes. By comparing the experimental results of the CE-AGA-LSTM with those of other eight prediction models (LR, SVM, RF, ARMA, ST-LSTM, LSTM, CE-LSTM and CE-RNN), we found that among the models, the CE-AGA-LSTM model provided the lowest MAE and RMSE values, i.e., 14.5 and 21.88, respectively. In order to improve the classification effect of the logistic regression (LR) model for breast cancer prediction, a new hybrid feature selection method is proposed to process the data, using the Pearson correlation test and the iterative random forest algorithm based on out-of-bag estimation (RF-OOB) to screen the optimal 17 features as inputs to the model. Secondly, the LR is optimized using the batch gradient descent (BGD-LR) algorithm to train the loss function of the model to minimize the loss. In order to protect the privacy of breast cancer patients, a differential privacy protection technology is added to the BGD-LR model, and an LR optimization model based on differential privacy with batch gradient descent (BDP-LR) is constructed. Finally, experiments are carried out on the Wisconsin Diagnostic Breast Cancer (WDBC) dataset. Meanwhile, accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score are selected as the four main evaluation indicators. Moreover, the hyperparameters of each model are determined by the grid search method and the cross-validation method. The experimental results show that after hybrid feature selection, the optimal results of the four main evaluation indicators of the BGD-LR model are 0.9912, 1, 0.9886, and 0.9943, in which the accuracy, recall, and F1-scores are increased by 2.63%, 3.41%, and 1.76%, respectively. For the BDP-LR model, when the privacy budget ε is taken as 0.8, the classification performance and privacy protection effect of the model reach an effective balance. At the same time, the four main evaluation indicators of the model are 0.9721, 0.9975, 0.9664, and 0.9816, which are improved by 1.58%, 0.26%, 1.81%, and 1.07%, respectively. Amid the growing emphasis on the environmental and health benefits of walking, enhanced network connectivity emerges as a significant determinant in promoting pedestrian activity, as proven by scholars statistically and theoretically. Recent academic endeavors have introduced metrics such as pedestrian route directness (PRD) to measure connectivity, which maps the directness of routes between critical origins and destinations of the urban layout. However, there have been concerns from scholars about the limitations of PRD in theory, especially its sensitivity to larger radii of analysis. Addressing this theoretical inconsistency, this paper employs Pearson's correlation and linear regression analysis to explore the correlation between the radius of analysis and variance of results, the significance of this correlation for subsequent research, and the geographical context's influence on metric selection. The findings have revealed an r-value of −0.82, suggesting a strong and negative correlation. Moreover, the p-value of 0.0003 demonstrates the significance of the correlation and the rejection of the null hypothesis. These results bridge the gap between theoretical discussions and empirical analysis, revealing that, as the analysis radius expands, the sensitivity of results diminishes. State of charge (SOC) is one of the most important parameters in battery management systems, and the accurate and stable estimation of battery SOC for real-world electric vehicles remains a great challenge. This paper proposes a long short-term memory network based on grid search and cross-validation optimisation to estimate the SOC of real-world battery systems. The real-world electric vehicle data are divided into parking charging, travel charging, and finish charging cases. Meanwhile, the parameters associated with the SOC estimation under each operating condition are extracted by the Pearson correlation analysis. Moreover, the hyperparameters of the long short-term memory network are optimised by grid search and cross-validation to improve the accuracy of the model estimation. Moreover, the gaussian noise algorithm is used for data augmentation to improve the accuracy and robustness of SOC estimation under the working conditions of the small dataset. The results indicate that the absolute error of SOC estimation is within 4% for the small dataset and within 2% for the large dataset. More importantly, the robustness and effectiveness of the proposed method are validated based on operational data from three different real-world electric vehicles, and the mean square error of SOC estimation does not exceed 0.006. Guided by entering the deep sea and achieving deep marine development in marine construction, the factors hindering marine construction cannot be ignored. Strong ocean winds have a devastating impact on tasks such as ship navigation, carrier aircraft take-off and landing, naval operations and military exercises, and affect the planning of sea routes and the development of the long-distance sea. This paper uses ERA5 wind field data and key climate indices to conduct a systematic analysis of catastrophic winds in the global ocean using methods such as climate statistical analysis, the Theil–Sen trend method, Pearson correlation and contribution rate calculation. It points out the spatiotemporal distribution, variation trend, climate index correlation and contribution rate characteristics of strong winds occurrence (SWO) and hopes that the results of this study can serve as a guide for maritime route planning and provide technical assistance and decision-making support for marine development and other needs. The results show the following: The high global SWO occurs in the Southern Ocean, the North Atlantic, the North Pacific, near Taiwan, China, the Arabian Sea and other locations, with the strongest SWO in summer. The growth trend of SWO in the Southern Ocean is strongest, with decreasing regions near the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal, and the growth trend is reflected in all four seasons. The climate indices with the strongest correlation and highest contribution to the global SWO are AAO (Antarctic Oscillation) and EP–NP (East Pacific–North Pacific pattern) with a correlation between −0.5 and 0.5 and a contribution rate of up to −50%~50%. The estimated ultimate recovery (EUR) of a single well must be predicted to achieve scale-effective shale gas extraction. Accurately forecasting EUR is difficult due to the impact of various geological, engineering, and production factors. Based on data from 200 wells in the Weiyuan block, this paper used Pearson correlation and mutual information to eliminate the factors with a high correlation among the 31 EUR influencing factors. The RF-RFE algorithm was then used to identify the six most important factors controlling the EUR of shale gas wells. XGBoost, RF, SVM, and MLR models were built and trained with the six dominating factors screened as features and EUR as labels. In this process, the model parameters were optimized, and finally the prediction accuracies of the models were compared. The results showed that the thickness of a high-quality reservoir was the dominating factor in geology; the high-quality reservoir length drilled, the fracturing fluid volume, the proppant volume, and the fluid volume per length were the dominating factors in engineering; and the 360−day flowback rate was the dominating factor in production. Compared to the SVM and MLR models, the XG Boost and the RF models based on integration better predicted EUR. The XGBoost model had a correlation coefficient of 0.9 between predicted and observed values, and its standard deviation was closest to the observed values' standard deviation, making it the best model for EUR prediction among the four types of models. Identifying the dominating factors of shale gas single-well EUR can provide significant guidance for development practice, and using the optimized XGBoost model to forecast the shale gas single-well EUR provides a novel idea for predicting shale gas well production. In the context of green and low-carbon development, energy saving, and emission reduction, hot recycling technology (RT) has been researched, which is divided into hot central plant RT and hot in-place RT. However, due to the aged asphalt binders, the shortcomings of hot recycled asphalt mixtures have become apparent, as in comparison to new asphalt mixtures, their resistance to cracking was inferior and the cracking resistance deteriorated more rapidly. Therefore, it was very necessary to focus on the improvement of crack resistance of hot recycled asphalt mixtures. Basalt fiber has been proved to be able to effectively improve the comprehensive road performance of new asphalt mixtures. Therefore, this paper introduced basalt fiber to hot central plant recycled and hot in-place recycled asphalt mixtures, in order to improve the crack resistance of asphalt as a new type of fiber stabilizer. Firstly, six types of SMA-13 fiber asphalt mixtures were designed and prepared, i.e., hot mixtures with basalt fiber or lignin fiber, hot central plant recycled mixtures with basalt fiber or lignin fiber, and hot in-place recycled mixtures with basalt fiber or lignin fiber. Secondly, the trabecular bending test, low-temperature creep test, semi-circular bending test, and IDEAL-CT were used to comparatively study the changing patterns of low and intermediate temperature cracking resistance of hot recycled mixtures with conventional lignin fibers or basalt fibers. Finally, Pearson's correlation coefficient was used to analyze the correlation of the different cracking resistance indicators. The results show that the low and intermediate temperature cracking resistance of hot central plant recycled mixtures increased by 45.6% (dissipative energy ratio, Wd/Ws) and 74.8% (flexibility index, FI), respectively. And the corresponding cracking resistance of hot in-place recycled mixture increased by 105.4% (Wd/Ws) and 55.7% (FI). The trabecular bending test was more suitable for testing the low-temperature cracking resistance of hot recycled asphalt mixtures, while the IDEAL-CT was more suitable for testing the intermediate-temperature cracking resistance. The rapid expansion and pervasive reach of the internet in recent years have raised concerns about evolving and adaptable online threats, particularly with the extensive integration of Machine Learning (ML) systems into our daily routines. These systems are increasingly becoming targets of malicious attacks that seek to distort their functionality through the concept of poisoning. Such attacks aim to warp the intended operations of these services, deviating them from their true purpose. Poisoning renders systems susceptible to unauthorized access, enabling illicit users to masquerade as legitimate ones, compromising the integrity of smart technology-based systems like Network Intrusion Detection Systems (NIDSs). Therefore, it is necessary to continue working on studying the resilience of deep learning network systems while there are poisoning attacks, specifically interfering with the integrity of data conveyed over networks. This paper explores the resilience of deep learning (DL)—based NIDSs against untethered white-box attacks. More specifically, it introduces a designed poisoning attack technique geared especially for deep learning by adding various amounts of altered instances into training datasets at diverse rates and then investigating the attack's influence on model performance. We observe that increasing injection rates (from 1% to 50%) and random amplified distribution have slightly affected the overall performance of the system, which is represented by accuracy (0.93) at the end of the experiments. However, the rest of the results related to the other measures, such as PPV (0.082), FPR (0.29), and MSE (0.67), indicate that the data manipulation poisoning attacks impact the deep learning model. These findings shed light on the vulnerability of DL-based NIDS under poisoning attacks, emphasizing the significance of securing such systems against these sophisticated threats, for which defense techniques should be considered. Vegetables have a short period of freshness, and therefore, the purchase of vegetables has to be carefully matched with sales, especially in the "small production and big market" setting prevalent in China. Therefore, it is worthwhile to develop a systematic and comprehensive mathematical model of replenishment plans and pricing strategies for each category of vegetables and individual products. In this paper, we analyze the following three questions: Question One: What is the distribution law and relationship between the sales volume of vegetable categories and single products? Question Two: What is the relationship between total sales volume and cost-plus pricing of vegetable categories? And is it possible to provide the daily total replenishment and pricing strategy of each vegetable category for the following week to maximize supermarket profit? Question Three: How can we incorporate the market demand for single vegetable products into a profit-maximizing program for supermarkets? Is it possible to further formulate the replenishment plan requirements for single products? To answer the first question, we created pivot tables to analyze occupancy. We found that mosaic leaves, peppers, and edible mushrooms accounted for a larger proportion of occupacy, while cauliflowers, aquatic rhizomes, and eggplants accounted for a smaller proportion. For the single items, lettuce, cabbage, green pepper, screw pepper, enoki mushroom, and shiitake mushroom accounted for a large proportion of their respective categories. We used the Pearson correlation coefficient and the Mfuzz package based on fuzzy c-means (FCM) algorithm to analyze the correlation between vegetable categories and single products. We found that there was a strong correlation between vegetable categories. Moreover, the sale of vegetable items belonging to the same category exhibited the same patterns of change over time. In order to address the second question, we established the LightGBM sales forecasting model. Combined with previous sales data, we forecasted and planned an efficient daily replenishment volume for each vegetable category in the coming week. In addition, we developed a pricing strategy for vegetable categories to maximize supermarket profits. For the third question, we built a dynamic programming model combining an optimal replenishment volume with a product pricing strategy for single items, which let the supermarket maximize its expected profits. Bone marrow lesion (BML) volume is a potential biomarker of knee osteoarthritis (KOA) as it is associated with cartilage degeneration and pain. However, segmenting and quantifying the BML volume is challenging due to the small size, low contrast, and various positions where the BML may occur. It is also time-consuming to delineate BMLs manually. In this paper, we proposed a fully automatic segmentation method for BMLs without requiring human intervention. The model takes intermediate weighted fat-suppressed (IWFS) magnetic resonance (MR) images as input, and the output BML masks are evaluated using both regular 2D Dice similarity coefficient (DSC) of the slice-level area metric and 3D DSC of the subject-level volume metric. On a dataset with 300 subjects, each subject has a sequence of 36 IWFS MR images approximately. We randomly separated the dataset into training, validation, and testing sets with a 70%/15%/15% split at the subject level. Since not every subject or image has a BML, we excluded the images without a BML in each subset. The ground truth of the BML was labeled by trained medical staff using a semi-automatic tool. Compared with the ground truth, the proposed segmentation method achieved a Pearson's correlation coefficient of 0.98 between the manually measured volumes and automatically segmented volumes, a 2D DSC of 0.68, and a 3D DSC of 0.60 on the testing set. Although the DSC result is not high, the high correlation of 0.98 indicates that the automatically measured BML volume is strongly correlated with the manually measured BML volume, which shows the potential to use the proposed method as an automatic measurement tool for the BML biomarker to facilitate the assessment of knee OA progression. Motor power models are a key tool in robotics for modeling and simulations related to control and optimization. The authors collect the dataset of motor power using the ABB IRB 120 industrial robot. This paper applies a multilayer perceptron (MLP) model to the collected dataset. Before the training of MLP models, each of the variables in the dataset is evaluated using the random forest (RF) model, observing two metrics-mean decrease in impurity (MDI) and feature permutation score difference (FP). Pearson's correlation coefficient was also applied Based on the scores of these values, a total of 15 variables, mainly static variables connected with the position and orientation of the robot, are eliminated from the dataset. The scores demonstrate that while both MLPs achieve good scores, the model trained on the pruned dataset performs better. With the model trained on the pruned dataset achieving R ¯ 2 = 0.99924 , σ = 0.00007 and M A ¯ P E = 0.33589 , σ = 0.00955 , the model trained on the original, non-pruned, data achieves R ¯ 2 = 0.98796 , σ = 0.00081 and M A ¯ P E = 0.46895 , σ = 0.05636 . These scores show that by eliminating the variables with a low influence from the dataset, a higher scoring model is achieved, and the created model achieves a better generalization performance across five folds used for evaluation. Harbin, as a popular tourist city in China, and the host of the 2025 Asian Winter Games, boasts rich tourism resources and significant potential for further development. The structure of the urban road network is a crucial factor influencing the spatial distribution of tourism service facilities. However, the current research on the correlation between the two, analyzed at multiple scales based on tourists' travel preferences, is not sufficient. First, utilizing the questionnaire survey method to analyze tourists' travel preferences and combining it with the theory of 15-min life circle, we determine the study scales at 500 m, 1000 m, 3000 m, and 5000 m. Secondly, the integration value and choice value of roads in the main urban area of Harbin are analyzed based on the theory of spatial syntax. The spatial distribution characteristics of tourism service facilities are then revealed through kernel density analysis. Finally, the correlation between the road network structure and the distribution of various types of tourism service facilities in Harbin at different scales is determined through buffer analysis and Pearson bivariate correlation analysis. The results show that: (1) Integration value plays a significant positive role in promoting the clustering of tourism service facilities, especially tending to cluster in areas with high integration value formed at a scale of 500 m; (2) At the scale of 3000 m, the distribution of tourism service facilities exhibits a significant correlation with the choice value; (3) The correlation between dining, shopping, and entertainment facilities and the integration value decreases with the increase in scale, whereas the spatial distribution of accommodation and attraction facilities does not exhibit a regular pattern with changes in integration value. In addition, this paper also puts forward targeted suggestions for optimizing the urban road network structure, reasonably locating tourism service facilities, and implementing balanced regional development. In view of the current problems of complex models and insufficient data processing in ultra-short-term prediction of photovoltaic power generation, this paper proposes a photovoltaic power ultra-short-term prediction model named HPO-KNN-SRU, based on a Simple Recurrent Unit (SRU), K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), and Hunter–Prey Optimization (HPO). Firstly, the sliding time window is determined by using the autocorrelation function (ACF), partial correlation function (PACF), and model training. The Pearson correlation coefficient method is used to filter the principal meteorological factors that affect photovoltaic power. Then, the K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) algorithm is utilized for effective outlier detection and processing to ensure the quality of input data for the prediction model, and the Hunter–Prey Optimization (HPO) algorithm is applied to optimize the parameters of the KNN algorithm. Finally, the efficient Simple Recurrent Unit (SRU) model is used for training and prediction, with the Hunter–Prey Optimization (HPO) algorithm applied to optimize the parameters of the SRU model. Simulation experiments and extensive ablation studies using photovoltaic data from the Desert Knowledge Australia Solar Centre (DKASC) in Alice Springs, Australia, validate the effectiveness of the integrated model, the KNN outlier handling, and the HPO algorithm. Compared to the Support Vector Regression (SVR), Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), Temporal Convolutional Network (TCN), and Simple Recurrent Unit (SRU) models, this model exhibits an average reduction of 19.63% in Mean Square Error (RMSE), 27.54% in Mean Absolute Error (MAE), and an average increase of 1.96% in coefficient of determination ( R 2 ) values. Traditional two-dimensional dynamic fault detection methods describe nonlinear dynamics by constructing a two-dimensional sliding window in the batch and time directions. However, determining the shape of a two-dimensional sliding window for different phases can be challenging. Samples in the two-dimensional sliding windows are assigned equal importance before being utilized for feature engineering and statistical control. This will inevitably lead to redundancy in the input, complicating fault detection. This paper proposes a novel method named attention-based two-dimensional dynamic-scale graph autoencoder (2D-ADSGAE). Firstly, a new approach is introduced to construct a graph based on a predefined sliding window, taking into account the differences in importance and redundancy. Secondly, to address the training difficulties and adapt to the inherent heterogeneity typically present in the dynamics of a batch across both its time and batch directions, we devise a method to determine the shape of the sliding window using the Pearson correlation coefficient and a high-density gridding policy. The method is advantageous in determining the shape of the sliding windows at different phases, extracting nonlinear dynamics from batch process data, and reducing redundant information in the sliding windows. As a raw material for clean energy supply for the new generation, the soybean is conducive to the realization of global energy transition and sustainable development in the context of "carbon neutrality". However, global warming has been affecting soybean yields in recent years. How to clarify the correlation between meteorological factors and soybean yields, so as to ensure the security of soybean growth and development and the stability of renewable energy development, is a key concern of the government and academia. Based on the data of temperature, precipitation, sunshine duration and active accumulated temperature during the soybean growing season in Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from 1951 to 2019, and soybean yield data of the city from 1985 to 2019, this paper adopted statistical methods such as the Trend Analysis Method, the Rescaled Range Analysis Method and so on to analyze the trends of yield changes, characteristics of abrupt changes and periodic patterns of climate factors and soybean yields in Hulunbuir. A Pearson Correlation Analysis and a Grey Relation Analysis were used to explore the correlation between climatic factors and soybean yields, followed by a comprehensive impact model of the combined effect of temperature and precipitation on soybean yields established by the Method of Integral Regression. The results showed that temperature and active accumulated temperature are the dominant factors affecting soybean yields in Hulunbuir, while the decrease in precipitation is unfavorable to the improvement of soybean yields. Meanwhile, temperature and precipitation have different effects on the growth and development of the soybean at different stages. The land surface temperature (LST) images obtained by thermal infrared remote sensing sensors are of great significance for numerous fields of research. However, the low spatial resolution is a drawback of LST images. Downscaling is an effective way to solve this problem. The traditional downscaling methods, however, have various drawbacks, including their low temporal and spectral resolutions, difficult processes, numerous errors, and single downscaling factor. They also rely on two or more separate satellite platforms. These drawbacks can be partially compensated for by the Sentinel-3 satellite's ability to acquire LST and multispectral images simultaneously. This paper proposes a downscaling model based on Sentinel-3 satellite and ASTER GDEM images—D-DisTrad—and compares the effects of the D-DisTrad model with DisTrad model and TsHARP model over four sites and four seasons. The mean bias (MB) range of the D-DisTrad model is −0.001–0.017 K, the mean absolute error (MAE) range is 0.103–0.891 K, and the root mean square error (RMSE) range is 0.220–1.235 K. The Pearson correlation coefficient (PCC) and R2 ranges are 0.938–0.994 and 0.889–0.989, respectively. The D-DisTrad model has the smallest error, the highest correlation, and the best visual effect, and can eliminate some "mosaic" effects in the original image. This paper shows that the D-DisTrad model can improve the spatial resolution and visual effects of LST images while maintaining high temporal resolution, and discusses the influence of the terrain and land cover on LST data. Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI) has been used to construct functional connectivity (FC) in the brain for the diagnosis and analysis of brain disease. Current studies typically use the Pearson correlation coefficient to construct dynamic FC (dFC) networks, and then use this as a network metric to obtain the necessary features for brain disease diagnosis and analysis. This simple observational approach makes it difficult to extract potential high-level FC features from the representations, and also ignores the rich information on spatial and temporal variability in FC. In this paper, we construct the Latent Space Representation Network (LSRNet) and use two stages to train the network. In the first stage, an autoencoder is used to extract potential high-level features and inner connections in the dFC representations. In the second stage, high-level features are extracted using two perspective feature parses. Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks are used to extract spatial and temporal features from the local perspective. Convolutional neural networks extract global high-level features from the global perspective. Finally, the fusion of spatial and temporal features with global high-level features is used to diagnose brain disease. In this paper, the proposed method is applied to the ANDI rs-fMRI dataset, and the classification accuracy reaches 84.6% for NC/eMCI, 95.1% for NC/AD, 80.6% for eMCI/lMCI, 84.2% for lMCI/AD and 57.3% for NC/eMCI/lMCI/AD. Due to their substantial energy density and economical pricing, switching-mode power supplies (SMPSs) often utilize electrolytic capacitors. However, their ability to function at low temperatures is essential for dependable operation in several sectors, including telecommunications, automotive, and aerospace. This study includes an experimental evaluation of how well standard SMPS electrolytic capacitors operate at low temperatures. This paper investigates the suitability of standard electrolytic capacitors used in switched-mode power supplies (SMPSs) for low-temperature applications. The experimental evaluation exposed the capacitors to temperatures ranging from −5 °C to −40 °C, assessing capacitance (Cp), impedance (Z), dissipation factor (DF), and equivalent series resistance (ESR) at each temperature. The capacitor's time-domain electrical signals were analyzed using the Pearson correlation coefficient to extract discriminative features. These features were input into an artificial neural network (ANN) for training and testing. The results indicated a significant impact of low temperatures on capacitor performance. Capacitance decreased with lower temperatures, while the ESR and leakage current increased, affecting stability and efficiency. Impedance was a valuable diagnostic tool for identifying potential capacitor failure, showing a 98.44% accuracy drop at −5 °C and 88.75% at the peak temperature, indicating proximity to the manufacturer's specified limit. The study suggests further research and development to improve the performance of electrolytic capacitors in SMPS systems under cold conditions, aiming to boost efficiency and reliability. The serious and frequent typhoon activities can easily cause extreme precipitation weather in the eastern coastal area of China, which is affected by land and sea differences. To explore the temporal and spatial characteristics of Precipitable Water Vapor (PWV) and rainfall during the typhoon period, the data of the conspicuous case named 'Meihua' in 2022 is adopted in analysis. In this paper, firstly, the accuracy of the PWV retrieved by ERA5 was evaluated, which met the experimental analysis requirements, compared with the conference value of the Radiosonde (RS). Secondly, the correlation between PWV, rainfall and the typhoon path were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively, using 16 meteorological stations in the typhoon path. The results indicated that PWV reached its peak value 2–6 h than rainfall, which was an important reference for rainfall forecasting. Then, the 'Pearson correlation coefficient' method was used for the quantitative evaluation of the correlation between PWV and the distance of the 'weather station-typhoon'. The results showed that PWV had an obvious upward trend, with a decrease in the distance between the 'weather station-typhoon'. The variation in PWV is intense at a reduced distance, and can reach its peak 16 h before the arrival of the typhoon. A strong negative correlation was demonstrated, with an average value of −0.73 for the Pearson correlation coefficient. Analyzing the temporal and spatial changes of the typhoon track, PWV and rainfall, the results show that before the typhoon passes through the region, both the PWV and rainfall certainly reach their maximum. The variation trends of PWV and rainfall in the period of the typhoon are significantly consistent. Temperature is an important environmental factor for long-span bridges because it induces thermal loads on structural components that cause considerable displacements, stresses, and structural damage. Hence, it is critical to acquire up-to-date information on the status, sustainability, and serviceability of long-span bridges under daily and seasonal temperature fluctuations. This paper intends to investigate the effects of temperature variability on structural displacements obtained from remote sensing and represent their relationship using supervised regression models. In contrast to other studies in this field, one of the contributions of this paper is to leverage hybrid sensing as a combination of contact and non-contact sensors for measuring temperature data and structural responses. Apart from temperature, other unmeasured environmental and operational conditions may affect structural displacements of long-span bridges separately or simultaneously. For this issue, this paper incorporates a correlation analysis between the measured predictor (temperature) and response (displacement) data using a linear correlation measure, the Pearson correlation coefficient, as well as nonlinear correlation measures, namely the Spearman and Kendall correlation coefficients and the maximal information criterion, to determine whether the measured environmental factor is dominant or other unmeasured conditions affect structural responses. Finally, three supervised regression techniques based on a linear regression model, Gaussian process regression, and support vector regression are considered to model the relationship between temperature and structural displacements and to conduct the prediction process. Temperature and limited displacement data related to three long-span bridges are used to demonstrate the results of this research.
