According to our recent studies on hydrophobicity, this work is aimed at understanding the dependence of hydrophobic interactions on the shape of a solute's surface. It has been observed that dissolved solutes primarily affect the structure of interfacial water, which refers to the top layer of water at the interface between the solute and water. As solutes aggregate in a solution, hydrophobic interactions become closely related to the transition of water molecules from the interfacial region to the bulk water. It is inferred that hydrophobic interactions may depend on the shape of the solute surface. To enhance the strength of hydrophobic interactions, the solutes tend to aggregate, thereby minimizing their surface area-to-volume ratio. This also suggests that hydrophobic interactions may exhibit directional characteristics. Moreover, this phenomenon can be supported by calculated potential mean forces (PMFs) using molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, where different surfaces, such as convex, flat, or concave, are associated with a sphere. Furthermore, this concept can be extended to comprehend the molecular packing parameter, commonly utilized in studying the self-assembly behavior of amphiphilic molecules in aqueous solutions. This paper presents an acoustic emission (AE) detection method for refined oil storage tanks which is aimed towards specialized places such as oil storage tanks with high explosion-proof requirements, such as cave oil tanks and buried oil tanks. The method utilizes an explosion-proof acoustic emission instrument to detect the floor of a refined oil storage tank. By calculating the time difference between the defective acoustic signal and the speed of acoustic wave transmission, a mathematical model is constructed to analyze the detected signals. An independent channel AE detection system is designed, which can store the collected data in a piece of independent explosion-proof equipment, and can analyze and process the data in a safe area after the detection, solving the problems of a short signal acquisition distance and the weak safety protection applied to traditional AE instruments. A location analysis of the AE sources is conducted on the bottom plate of the tank, evaluating its corrosion condition accurately. The consistency between the evaluation and subsequent open-tank tests confirms that using AE technology effectively captures corrosion signals from oil storage tanks' bottoms. The feasibility of carrying out online inspection under the condition of oil storage in vertical steel oil tanks was verified through a comparison with open inspections, which provided a guide for determining the inspection target and opening order of large-scale oil tanks. Simple Summary: Information about the effect of curcumin supplementation on the cecum of Eimeria tenella-infected broilers is scarce. This study examined the effects of curcumin on the growth performance, antioxidant system, intestinal integrity, and microbiota structure of broilers infected with E. tenella. Thus, this study provided a reference for using curcumin as a healthy feed additive. This study was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary curcumin supplementation on growth performance, anticoccidial index, antioxidant capacity, intestinal inflammation, and cecum microbiota in broilers infected with Eimeria tenella. A total of 234 one-day-old broilers were categorized into three treatments, with six replicates per treatment containing 13 broilers each. The three treatments included the control group, Eimeria tenella group, and Eimeria tenella + curcumin (200 mg/kg) group. The feeding trial lasted for 42 days, during which the broilers were orally administered with 0.9% saline or 5 × 104 Eimeria tenella oocysts on day 14 of the study. On day 17 and day 21, one bird per replicate was selected for slaughtering. Results indicated an increased survival rate and anticoccidial index and improved productive performance in coccidia-infected broilers with curcumin supplementation. Furthermore, curcumin enhanced the serum antioxidant capacity in Eimeria tenella-infected broilers, evidenced by increased serum catalase activity (3d, 7d), as well as decreased malondialdehyde level (3d, 7d) and nitric oxide synthase activity (7d) (p < 0.05). Curcumin also improved intestinal inflammation and barrier function, evidenced by the downregulation of interleukin (IL)-1β (3d, 7d), TNF-alpha (TNF-α) (3d, 7d), and IL-2 (7d) and the up-regulated mRNA levels of claudin-1 (7d), zonula occludens (ZO-1; 3d, 7d), and occludin (3d, 7d) in the ceca of infected broilers (p < 0.05). Eimeria tenella infection significantly disrupted cecum microbial balance, but curcumin did not alleviate cecum microbial disorder in broilers infected with Eimeria tenella. Collectively, curcumin supplementation enhanced growth performance and anticoccidial index in Eimeria tenella-infected broilers via improving antioxidant ability and cecum inflammation without affecting cecum microbiota. Hemophilia A (HA) is a common X-linked recessive hereditary bleeding disorder. Coagulation factor VIII (FVIII) is insufficient in patients with HA due to the mutations in the F8 gene. The restoration of plasma levels of FVIII via both recombinant B-domain-deleted FVIII (BDD-FVIII) and B-domain-deleted F8 (BDDF8) transgenes was proven to be helpful. FVIII-Padua is a 23.4 kb tandem repeat mutation in the F8 associated with a high F8 gene expression and thrombogenesis. Here we screened a core enhancer element in FVIII-Padua for improving the F8 expression. In detail, we identified a 400 bp efficient enhancer element, C400, in FVIII-Padua for the first time. The core enhancer C400 extensively improved the transcription of BDDF8 driven by human elongation factor-1 alpha in HepG2, HeLa, HEK-293T and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) with different genetic backgrounds, as well as iPSCs-derived endothelial progenitor cells (iEPCs) and iPSCs-derived mesenchymal stem cells (iMSCs). The expression of FVIII protein was increased by C400, especially in iEPCs. Our research provides a novel molecular target to enhance expression of FVIII protein, which has scientific value and application prospects in both viral and nonviral HA gene therapy strategies. Recent advancements in computational performance and medical simulation technology have made significant strides, particularly in predictive diagnosis. This study focuses on the blood flow simulation reduced-order models, which provide swift and cost-effective solutions for complex vascular systems, positioning them as practical alternatives to 3D simulations in resource-limited medical settings. The paper introduces a visualization platform for patient-specific and image-based 1D–0D simulations. This platform covers the entire workflow, from modeling to dynamic 3D visualization of simulation results. The aim of this study was to investigate targets through which Gualou Xiebai Banxia decoction aids in treating myocardial infarction (MI) using network pharmacology in combination with molecular docking. The principal active ingredients of Gualou Xiebai Banxia decoction were identified from the TCMSP database using the criteria of drug-likeness ≥30% and oral bioavailability ≥0.18. Interactions and pathway enrichment were investigated using protein–protein interaction (PPI) networks and Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) enrichment analysis, respectively. Active component structures were docked with those of potential protein targets using AutoDock molecular docking relative softwares. HIF1A was of particular interest as it was identified by the PPI network, GO and KEGG pathway enrichment analyses. In conclusion, the use of network pharmacology prediction and molecular docking assessments provides further information on the active components and mechanisms of action Gualou Xiebai Banxia decoction. A series of NH2-functionalized nano-sized magnetic metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) were prepared in this study for Cr(VI) removal from wastewater. It was observed that not only the morphological, i.e., orientation growth of N-doped and iron-based metal–organic frameworks, but also the adsorption of magnetic MOFs is largely related to the used amount of ammonium hydroxide in preparation. For example, with increasing amounts of ammonium hydroxide used in preparation, the morphology of magnetic MOFs changed from spherical to cube and triangular cone. Moreover, the maximum adsorption capacity of spherical-magnetic MOFs, cubic-magnetic MOFs and triangular cone-magnetic MOFs could be up to 204.08 mg/g, 232.56 mg/g and 270.27 mg/g, respectively. Under optimal conditions, the adsorption process of magnetic MOFs for Cr(VI) was consistent with the pseudo-second-order rate equation (R2 = 1) and Langmuir isotherm model (R2 > 0.99). This paper is aimed at using a lookup table method to improve the scalar multiplication performance of elliptic curve cryptography. The lookup table must be divided into two polynomials and requires two iterations of point doubling operation, for which negation operations are needed. It is well known that an inversion operation requires a lot of multiplication time. The advantage of this paper is that we are able to reduce one inverse element calculation for this problem and also improve the basic operations of finite fields through segmentation methods. If the normal basis method is used in the design of the inverse element operation, it must be converted to the normal basis through the standard basis. However, the conversion process requires a lot of matrix operations. Though the anti-element operation has good speed performance, it also increases the computational complexity. Using number theory and grouping methods will greatly improve the performance of inverse element operations. With application of the two-time point doubling operation in the hardware implementation, the developed approach reduces the computing time by 48% as compared with the conventional approach. The computational time of the scalar multiplication using the presented method is further improved by 67% over the traditional algorithm with only an area increase of 12%. Finally, the proposed lookup table-based technique can be utilized for software and hardware implementation, as the developed arithmetic operations are simple and are consistent in their execution. This work discusses the electric vehicle (EV) ordered charging planning (OCP) optimization problem. To address this issue, an improved dual-population genetic moth–flame optimization (IDPGMFO) is proposed. Specifically, to obtain an appreciative solution of EV OCP, the design for a dual-population genetic mechanism integrated into moth–flame optimization is provided. To enhance the global optimization performance, the adaptive nonlinear decreasing strategies with selection, crossover and mutation probability, as well as the weight coefficient, are also designed. Additionally, opposition-based learning (OBL) is also introduced simultaneously. The simulation results show that the proposed improvement strategies can effectively improve the global optimization performance. Severe and fatal crashes involving large trucks result in significant social and economic losses for human society. Unfortunately, the notably low proportion of severe and fatal injury crashes involving large trucks creates an imbalance in crash data. Models trained on imbalanced crash data are likely to produce erroneous results. Therefore, there is a need to explore novel sampling approaches for imbalanced crash data, and it is crucial to determine the appropriate combination of a machine learning model, sampling approach, and ratio. This study introduces a novel cluster-based under-sampling technique, utilizing the k-prototypes clustering algorithm. After initial cluster-based under-sampling, the consolidated cluster-based under-sampled data set was further resampled using three different sampling approaches (i.e., adaptive synthetic sampling (ADASYN), NearMiss-2, and the synthetic minority oversampling technique + Tomek links (SMOTETomek)). Later, four machine learning models (logistic regression (LR), random forest (RF), gradient-boosted decision trees (GBDT), and the multi-layer perceptron (MLP) neural network) were trained and evaluated using the geometric mean (G-Mean) and area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) scores. The findings suggest that cluster-based under-sampling coupled with the investigated sampling approaches improve the performance of the machine learning models developed on crash data significantly. In addition, the GBDT model combined with ADASYN or SMOTETomek is likely to yield better predictions than any model combined with NearMiss-2. Regarding changes in sampling ratios, increasing the sampling ratio with ADASYN and SMOTETomek is likely to improve the performance of models up to a certain level, whereas with NearMiss-2, performance is likely to drop significantly beyond a specific point. Dual quaternions have wide applications in automatic differentiation, computer graphics, mechanics, and others. Due to its application in control theory, matrix equation A X B = C has been extensively studied. However, there is currently limited information on matrix equation A X B = C regarding the dual quaternion algebra. In this paper, we provide the necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability of dual quaternion matrix equation A X B = C , and present the expression for the general solution when it is solvable. As an application, we derive the ϕ -Hermitian solutions for dual quaternion matrix equation A X A ϕ = C , where the ϕ -Hermitian extends the concepts of Hermiticity and η -Hermiticity. To elucidate the variation characteristics of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) content and accumulation in cotton at different yield levels, a two-year experiment was conducted using cotton variety Lumianyan 24 under four N treatments (506, 402.5, 299, and 195.5 kg ha−1, designated as N1, N2, N3, and N4, respectively). The four P and K fertilization ratios were (PK-M1, 25% P and K applied at squaring stage (SS) and 75% at the bloom-bolling stages (BS)), 50%:50% (PK-M2, 50% P and K applied at each stage), 75%:25% (PK-M3, 75% P and K applied at SS and 25% at the BS) and 100%:0% (PK-M4, total P and K applied at SS). The results showed that the N content (Nc), P content (Pc), and K content (Kc) of cotton plants at high yield levels were 23.3%, 44.2%, and 31.6% higher than those at low yield levels. In addition, the reproductive organs maintained higher Pc and Kc at high yield levels, and the Nc, Pc, and Kc exhibited positive linear correlations with yield, while Nc/Pc, Nc/Kc, and Kc/Pc had significant negative correlations with yield. In conclusion, seed cotton yield was mainly limited by Nc at low yield levels and affected by Pc and Kc at high yield levels. Then, when 0.85 < Nc/Kc < 1.0 at the full squaring stage (FS), 0.8 < Nc/Kc < 1.0 at the full flowering stage (FF), 4.3 < Nc/Pc < 6.7 at the early-full bolling stage (EFB) and 4.9 < Nc/Pc < 7.1 at the late-full bolling stage (LFB), there is a high yield potential of 7000–9000 kg ha−1. Accurate prediction of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) concentration is crucial for improving environmental conditions and effectively controlling air pollution. However, some existing studies could ignore the nonlinearity and spatial correlation of time series data observed from stations, and it is difficult to avoid the redundancy between features during feature selection. To further improve the accuracy, this study proposes a hybrid model based on empirical mode decomposition (EMD), minimal-redundancy-maximal-relevance (mRMR), and geographically weighted neural network (GWNN) for hourly PM2.5 concentration prediction, named EMD-mRMR-GWNN. Firstly, the original PM2.5 concentration sequence with distinct nonlinearity and non-stationarity is decomposed into multiple intrinsic mode functions (IMFs) and a residual component using EMD. IMFs are further classified and reconstructed into high-frequency and low-frequency components using the one-sample t-test. Secondly, the optimal feature subset is selected from high-frequency and low-frequency components with mRMR for the prediction model, thus holding the correlation between features and the target variable and reducing the redundancy among features. Thirdly, the residual component is predicted with the simple moving average (SMA) due to its strong trend and autocorrelation, and GWNN is used to predict the high-frequency and low-frequency components. The final prediction of the PM2.5 concentration value is calculated by an artificial neural network (ANN) composed of the predictive values of each component. PM2.5 concentration prediction experiments in three representational cities, such as Beijing, Wuhan, and Kunming were carried out. The proposed model achieved high accuracy with a coefficient of determination greater than 0.92 in forecasting PM2.5 concentration for the next 1 h. We compared this model with four baseline models in forecasting PM2.5 concentration for the next few hours and found it performed the best in PM2.5 concentration prediction. Ion channels exhibit strong selectivity for specific ions over others under electrochemical potentials, such as KcsA for K+ over Na+. Based on the thermodynamic analysis, this study is focused on exploring the mechanism of ion selectivity in nanopores. It is well known that ions must lose part of their hydration layer to enter the channel. Therefore, the ion selectivity of a channel is due to the rearrangement of water molecules when entering the nanopore, which may be related to the hydrophobic interactions between ions and channels. In our recent works on hydrophobic interactions, with reference to the critical radius of solute (Rc), it was divided into initial and hydrophobic solvation processes. Additionally, the different dissolved behaviors of solutes in water are expected in various processes, such as dispersed and accumulated distributions in water. Moutan Cortex (MC) is a traditional Chinese medicine that contains abundant medicinal components, such as paeonol, paeoniflorin, etc. Paeonol is the main active component of MC. In this study, paeonol was extracted from MC through an ultrasound-assisted extraction process, which is based on single-factor experiments and response surface methodology (RSM). Subsequently, eight macroporous resins of different properties were used to purify paeonol from MC. The main components of the purified extract were identified by ultra-performance liquid chromatography–quadrupole–time of flight–mass spectrometry (UPLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS). The results indicate the optimal parameters are as follows: liquid-to-material ratio 21:1 mL/g, ethanol concentration 62%, ultrasonic time 31 min, ultrasonic temperature 36 °C, ultrasonic power 420 W. Under these extraction conditions, the actual yield of paeonol was 14.01 mg/g. Among the eight tested macroporous resins, HPD-300 macroporous resin was verified to possess the highest adsorption and desorption qualities. The content of paeonol increased from 6.93% (crude extract) to 41.40% (purified extract) after the HPD-300 macroporous resin treatment. A total of five major phenolic compounds and two principal monoterpene glycosides were characterized by comparison with reference compounds. There has been over half a century since the discovery of hepatitis B virus (HBV) to now, but approximately 300 million patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB) still live in the world, resulting in about one million deaths every year. Although currently approved antivirals (e.g., nucleoside analogues) are effective at reducing HBV replication, they have almost no impact on the existing HBV covalently closed circular DNA (cccDNA) reservoir. HBV cccDNA is a critical obstacle to the complete elimination of the virus via antiviral therapy. The true cure of HBV infection requires the eradication of viral cccDNA from HBV-infected cells; thus, the development of new agents directly or indirectly targeting HBV cccDNA is urgently needed due to the limitations of current available drugs against HBV infection. In this regard, it is the major focus of current anti-HBV research worldwide via different mechanisms to either inactivate/inhibit (functional cure) or eliminate (complete cure) HBV cccDNA. Therefore, this review discussed and summarized recent advances and challenges in efforts to inactivate/silence or eliminate viral cccDNA using anti-HBV agents from different sources, such as small molecules (including epigenetic drugs) and polypeptides/proteins, and siRNA or gene-editing approaches targeting/attenuating HBV cccDNA via different mechanisms, as well as future directions that may be considered in efforts to truly cure chronic HBV infection. In conclusion, no breakthrough has been made yet in attenuating HBV cccDNA, although a number of candidates have advanced into the phase of clinical trials. Furthermore, the overwhelming majority of the candidates function to indirectly target HBV cccDNA. No outstanding candidate directly targets HBV cccDNA. Relatively speaking, CCC_R08 and nitazoxanide may be some of the most promising agents to clear HBV infection in small molecule compounds. Additionally, CRISPR-Cas9 systems can directly target HBV cccDNA for decay and demonstrate significant anti-HBV activity. Consequently, gene-editing approaches targeting HBV cccDNA may be one of the most promising means to achieve the core goal of anti-HBV therapeutic strategies. A novel Al-Mg-Si aluminum alloy with the addition of the micro-alloying element Er and Zr that was promptly quenched after extrusion has been studied. The solid solution and aging treatment of the novel alloy are studied by observing the microstructure, mechanical properties, and strengthening mechanism. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) techniques are employed to examine the changes in the microstructure resulting from various solid solution treatments and aging treatments. The best strengthening effect can be achieved when the solubility of the MgSi phase and precipitate β″ (Mg2Si phase) is at their maximum. The addition of Er and Zr elements promotes the precipitation of the β″ phase and makes the b″ phase more finely dispersed. The aging strengthening of alloys is a comprehensive effect of the dislocation cutting mechanism and bypass mechanism, the joint effect of diffusion strengthening of Al3(Er,Zr) particles and the addition of Er and Zr elements promoting the precipitation strengthening of β″ phases. In this paper, by adding Er and Zr elements and exploring the optimal heat treatment system, the yield strength of the alloy reaches 437 MPa and the tensile strength reaches 453 MPa after solid solution treatment at 565 °C/30 min and aging at 175 °C/10 h. As an indispensable process in the microencapsulation of active substances, emulsion preparation has a significant impact on microencapsulated products. In this study, five primary emulsions of paprika oleoresin (PO, the natural colourant extracted from the fruit peel of Capsicum annuum L.) with different particle sizes (255–901.7 nm) were prepared using three industrialized pulverization-inducing techniques (stirring, ultrasound induction, and high-pressure homogenization). Subsequently, the PO emulsion was microencapsulated via spray drying. The effects of the different induction methods on the physicochemical properties, digestive behaviour, antioxidant activity, and storage stability of PO microencapsulated powder were investigated. The results showed that ultrasound and high-pressure homogenization induction could improve the encapsulation efficiency, solubility, and rehydration capacity of the microcapsules. In vitro digestion studies showed that ultrasound and high-pressure homogenization induction significantly increased the apparent solubility and dissolution of the microcapsules. High-pressure homogenization induction significantly improved the antioxidant capacity of the microcapsules, while high-intensity ultrasound (600 W) induction slowed down the degradation of the microcapsule fats and oils under short-term UV and long-term natural light exposure. Our study showed that ultrasound and high-pressure homogenization equipment could successfully be used to prepare emulsions containing nanoscale capsicum oil resin particles, improve their functional properties, and enhance the oral bioavailability of this bioactive product. Cluster separation is required to perform multi-class visual statistics tasks and plays an essential role in information processing in visualization. This cognition behavioral study investigated the cluster separation task and the effects of visual complexity and task difficulty. A total of 32 college students (18 men and 14 women, with ages ranging from 18 to 25 years; mean = 21.2, SD = 3.9) participated in this study. The observers' average response accuracy, reaction time, mental effort, and comprehensive cognitive efficiency were measured as functions of three levels of visual complexity and task difficulty. The levels of visual complexity and task difficulty were quantified via an optimized complexity evaluation method and discrimination judgment task, respectively. The results showed that visual complexity and task difficulty significantly influenced comprehensive cognitive efficiency. Moreover, a strong interaction was observed between the effects of visual complexity and task difficulty. However, there was no positive linear relationship between the mental effort and the complexity level. Furthermore, two-dimensional color × shape redundant coding showed higher cognitive efficiency at low task difficulty levels. In contrast, the one-dimensional color encoding approach showed higher cognitive efficiency at increased task difficulty levels. In this paper, based on the finite element method, the stresses of the radius and ulna are analyzed at different flexion angles of the elbow when playing tennis. The finite element model is presented for the elbow position with flexion angles of 0°, 25°, 60°, and 80° according to the normal human arm bone. In this model, the whole arm with metacarpals, radius, ulna, humerus and scapula is considered. The calculation is simplified by setting the scapula and metacarpals as rigid bodies and using Tie binding constraints between the humerus and the radius and ulna. This model is discretized using the 10-node second-order tetrahedral element (C3D10). This model contains 109,765 nodes and 68,075 elements. The hitting forces applied to the metacarpal bone are 100 N and 300 N, respectively. The numerical results show that the highest principal stresses are at the points of 1/4 of the radius, the elbow joint, and the points of 1/10 of the ulna. The results of the maximum principal stress show that the external pressures are more pronounced as the elbow flexion angle increases and that the magnitude of the hitting force does not affect the principal stress distribution pattern. Elbow injuries to the radius can be reduced by using a stroke with less elbow flexion, and it is advisable to wear a reinforced arm cuff on the dorsal 1/4 of the hand, a radial/dorsal hand wrist, and an elbow guard to prevent radial ulnar injuries. The High Resolution Picture Transmission (HRPT) data of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) series meteorological satellites had been received by the SeaSpace ground station located at the Ocean University of China (OUC). Based on the atmospheric radiative transfer model, we obtained the NOAA-15/16/17/18/19 Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) sea surface skin temperature (SSTskin) data using the Bayesian cloud detection method and the optimal estimation (OE) sea surface temperature (SST) retrieval algorithm. Compared with the NOAA/AVHRR multi-channel SST data, the AVHRR SSTskin data have higher data accuracy. We also compared the AVHRR SSTskin with the buoy SST with spatial and temporal windows of 0.01° and 30 min. The daytime biases ranged from −0.32 °C (NOAA-16) to 0.08 °C (NOAA-17) with standard deviations (SDs) ranging from 0.36 °C (NOAA-18/ NOAA-19) to 0.60 °C (NOAA-16), and the nighttime biases ranged from −0.26 °C (NOAA-16) to −0.02 °C (NOAA-17) with SDs ranging from 0.33 °C (NOAA-19) to 0.60 °C (NOAA-16). The accuracy of all five satellite data during daytime and nighttime was significantly improved. These results show that the AVHRR SSTskin of NOAA series satellites is good and consistent in different periods, and the SSTskin data products with high spatial resolution and accuracy can be used for mesoscale and submesoscale marine applications. Government policy constraints and the green credit support of banks have played an indispensable role in promoting the development of the new energy vehicle (NEV) industry. To study the relationship between the government, the banks, and automobile manufacturers in the post-subsidy era and to promote the development of the NEV industry in China, we constructed a tripartite evolutionary game model for the government, the banks, and automobile manufacturers during the subsidy decline, analyzed the evolutionary process of the system, and used MATLAB to simulate the evolutionary stable strategies (ESSs) and the sensitivity of related parameters. The results demonstrate the following: (1) There are five possible evolutionary equilibrium points in the early, middle, and late stages of the NEV industry; (2) with the increase in the phase-out rates and the transaction prices of NEV points, the government is more inclined to low subsidies, the banks are more inclined to implement green credit, and enterprises are more inclined to produce NEVs; (3) there is a threshold for the impact of government incentives on the evolutionary results of the government and the banks, beyond which the evolutionary process of the government and the banks will be unstable; (4) with the increase in financing costs saved by green credit, the government is more inclined to low subsidies and enterprises are more inclined to produce NEVs, while changes in financing costs have less impact on the strategies of banks. IL-1β mediates inflammation and regulates immune responses, cell proliferation, and differentiation. Dysregulation of IL-1β is linked to inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. Elevated IL-1β levels are found in patients with severe COVID-19, indicating its excessive production may worsen the disease. Also, dry eye disease patients show high IL-1β levels in tears and conjunctival epithelium. Therefore, IL-1β signaling is a potential therapeutic targeting for COVID-19 and aforementioned diseases. No small-molecule IL-1β inhibitor is clinically approved despite efforts. Developing such inhibitors is highly desirable. Herein, a docking-based strategy was used to screen the TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) database to identify possible IL-1β inhibitors with desirable pharmacological characteristics by targeting the IL-1β/IL-1R interface. Primarily, the docking-based screening was performed by selecting the crucial residues of IL-1β interface to retrieve the potential compounds. Afterwards, the compounds were shortlisted on the basis of binding scores and significant interactions with the crucial residues of IL-1β. Further, to gain insights into the dynamic behavior of the protein–ligand interactions, MD simulations were performed. The analysis suggests that four selected compounds were stabilized in an IL-1β pocket, possibly blocking the formation of an IL-1β/IL-1R complex. Paleoproterozoic banded iron formation (BIF) iron ore of the Zhengjiapo region of the Changyi metallogenic belt, Eastern Block of North China Craton contains abundant coexisting antiperthite and mesoperthite textures. The antiperthite and mesoperthite occur in felsic domains of the Zhengjiapo BIF ore and enable derivation of peak temperature metamorphic conditions. Thermodynamic phase modeling shows that equilibrium conditions of corresponding textures, considering the related mineral assemblage of Pl + Qz + Kfs + Mag + Opx + L, are in the range of 870–940 °C and 5.0–6.8 kbar. Ternary feldspar thermometry using reintegrated compositions of antiperthite and mesoperthite in the felsic domain of the studied BIF iron ore reveals even higher peak metamorphic temperatures of 1045–1080 °C. The ultra-high temperature–low pressure conditions of Precambrian BIF have not yet been reported from the North China Craton. The documented ultra-high temperature metamorphism of the Zhengjiapo BIF iron ore in the Changyi metallogenic belt indicates that the BIF was involved in the collision-related tectonic process during Paleoproterozoic to have occurred in the Jiao-Liao-Ji orogenic belt. The rapid, accurate estimation of leaf nitrogen content (LNC) and plant nitrogen content (PNC) in cotton in a non-destructive way is of great significance to the nutrient management of cotton fields. The RGB images of cotton fields in Shihezi (China) were obtained by using a low-cost unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) with a visible-light digital camera. Combined with the data of LNC and PNC in different growth stages, the correlation between N content and visible light vegetation indices (VIs) was analyzed, and then the Random Forest (RF), Support Vector Machine (SVM), Back Propagation Neural Network (BP), and stepwise multiple linear regression (SMLR) were used to develop N content estimation models at different growth stages. The accuracy of the estimation model was assessed by coefficient of determination (R2), root mean squared error (RMSE), and relative root mean square error (rRMSE), so as to determine the optimal estimated growth stage and the best model. The results showed that the correlation between VIs and LNC was stronger than that between PNC, and the estimation accuracy of different models decreased continuously with the development of growth stages, with higher estimation accuracy in the peak squaring stage. Among the four algorithms, the best accuracy (R2 = 0.9001, RMSE = 1.2309, rRMSE = 2.46% for model establishment, and R2 = 0.8782, RMSE = 1.3877, rRMSE = 2.82% for model validation) was obtained when applying RF at the peak squaring stage. The LNC model for whole growth stages could be used in the later growth stage due to its higher accuracy. The results of this study showed that there is a potential for using an affordable and non-destructive UAV-based digital system to produce predicted LNC content maps that are representative of the current field nitrogen status. Named entity identification is an important step in building a knowledge graph of the grid domain, which contains a certain number of nested entities. To address the issue of nested entities in the Chinese power dispatching domain's named entity recognition, we propose a RoBERTa-Attention-FL model. This model effectively recognizes nested entities using the span representation annotation method. We extract the output values from RoBERTa's middle 4–10 layers, obtain syntactic information from the Transformer Encoder layers via the multi-head self-attention mechanism, and integrate it with deep semantic information output from RoBERTa's last layer. During training, we use Focal Loss to mitigate the sample imbalance problem. To evaluate the model's performance, we construct named entity recognition datasets for flat and nested entities in the power dispatching domain annotated with actual power operation data, and conduct experiments. The results indicate that compared to the baseline model, the RoBERTa-Attention-FL model significantly improves recognition performance, increasing the F1-score by 4.28% to 90.35%, with an accuracy rate of 92.53% and a recall rate of 88.12%. In the present study, two effective methods, the Exp-function method and He's frequency formulation, are employed to investigate the dynamic behaviors of the (3+1)-dimensional Boiti–Leon–Manna–Pempinelli equation, which is used widely to describe the incompressible fluid. A variety of the wave structures, including the dark wave, bright-dark wave and periodic wave solutions, are successfully constructed. Compared with the results attained by the methods, the obtained solutions are all new and have not been presented in the other literature. The diverse wave structures of the solutions are presented through numerical results in the form of three-dimensional plots and two-dimensional curves. The rapid and accurate detection of alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) levels is of great significance for the diagnosis and later treatment evaluation of liver cancer. In this study, a novel integrated quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) immunosensor based on the design to contact liquids on one side only was developed for the label-free detection of AFP. Anti-AFP mouse monoclonal antibodies were immobilized onto the upper electrode surface of the pre-treatment crystals using the staphylococcus aureus protein A. The AFP antigens in human serum were captured by specific surface-coated antibodies, and testing was carried out by monitoring the corresponding changes in frequency. The concentration range of the antigen detected was 13–760 ng/mL. The frequency characteristics of the process of antibody immobilization were investigated in detail, and high reproducibility of AFP antibody immobilization was achieved (standard deviation (SD) = 2.2 Hz). The developed QCM measurement system demonstrated a short test time (only 30 min), good reproducibility (the biological activity can still maintain more than 90% of the first test till it is reused five times), and accuracy as good as the one achieved with the radioimmunoassay (the maximum relative deviation = 4.8%). The designed QCM test system can easily and quickly detect AFP concentrations up to 760 ng/mL, indicating that the developed QCM assay is likely to lead to an alternative approach in large-scale screening for liver cancer in the near future. Camellia oleifera is the native economic edible oil tree in China and anthracnose occurs commonly in its producing areas. We previously found that ubiquitin-like CfAtg8-related autophagy is essential for the pathogenicity of Colletotrichum fructicola, the major pathogen of anthracnose on C. oleifera. The aim of this study is to further elucidate the roles of autophagy in the pathogenesis of C. fructicola. Based on BLAST_P analysis and reverse genetics, we identified the central hub of another ubiquitin-like system, CfAtg5, and characterized its functions in C. fructicola. As suspected, we found that CfAtg5 is required for autophagy, both in MM-N and H2O2 induction conditions. Targeted gene deletion of CfATG5 revealed that CfAtg5 is involved in growth and conidiation. We further found that the ∆Cfatg5 mutant is defective in appressorium formation and in responses to cell wall integrity and oxidative stresses. The combined effects, together with the abolished autophagy, result in the pathogenicity defects of the ∆Cfatg5 mutant. Our study further illustrates the importance of normal autophagy in the physiology and pathogenicity of C. fructicola, and offers a potential target in the development of new anthracnose control strategies. Catalytic asymmetric dearomative [3+2] cycloaddition of α-imino γ-lactones with either 3-nitroindoles or 2-nitrobenzofurans by using a chiral copper complex as the catalyst was developed. A wide range of structurally diverse polyheterocyclic compounds containing spirocyclic-fused butyrolactone-pyrrolidine-indoline and butyrolactone–pyrrolidine–dihydrobenzofuran skeletons could be smoothly obtained with excellent results (>99:1 dr and 98% ee). Cerium element with a unique electric structure can be used to modify semiconductor photocatalysts to enhance their photocatalytic performances. In this work, Ce-doped TiO2 (Ce/TiO2) was successfully achieved using the sol-gel method. The structural characterization methods confirm that Ce was doped in the lattice of anatase TiO2, which led to a smaller grain size. The performance test results show that the Ce doped in anatase TiO2 significantly enhances the charge transport efficiency and broadens the light absorption range, resulting in higher photocatalytic performance. The Ce/TiO2 exhibited a photocurrent density of 10.9 μA/cm2 at 1.0 V vs. Ag/AgCl, 2.5 times higher than that of pure TiO2 (4.3 μA/cm2) under AM 1.5 G light. The hydrogen (H2) production rate of the Ce/TiO2 was approximately 0.33 μmol/h/g, which is more than twice as much as that of the pure anatase TiO2 (0.12 μmol/h/g). Ginger-derived compounds are abundant sources of anticancer natural products. However, the anticancer effects of (E)-3-hydroxy-1-(4′-hydroxy-3′,5′-dimethoxyphenyl)-tetradecan-6-en-5-one (3HDT) have not been examined. This study aims to assess the antiproliferation ability of 3HDT on triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) cells. 3HDT showed dose-responsive antiproliferation for TNBC cells (HCC1937 and Hs578T). Moreover, 3HDT exerted higher antiproliferation and apoptosis on TNBC cells than on normal cells (H184B5F5/M10). By examining reactive oxygen species, mitochondrial membrane potential, and glutathione, we found that 3HDT provided higher inductions for oxidative stress in TNBC cells compared with normal cells. Antiproliferation, oxidative stress, antioxidant signaling, and apoptosis were recovered by N-acetylcysteine, indicating that 3HDT preferentially induced oxidative-stress-mediated antiproliferation in TNBC cells but not in normal cells. Moreover, by examining γH2A histone family member X (γH2AX) and 8-hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine, we found that 3HDT provided higher inductions for DNA damage, which was also reverted by N-acetylcysteine. With the accelerated pace of financial globalization and the gradual increase in linkages among financial markets, correctly identifying and describing the risk spillover and network diffusion in the financial system is extremely important for the prevention and management of systemic risk. Based on this, this paper takes the equity markets of 17 countries around the world from 2007 to 2022 as the research object, measures the volatility spillover effect of global financial markets using R-Vine Copula and the DY spillover index, constructs the volatility spillover network of global financial markets, discovers the spillover and diffusion pattern of global financial market risks, and provides relevant suggestions for systemic risk management. It is found that (1) there are certain aggregation characteristics in the network diffusion of global financial market volatility spillover; (2) developed European countries such as the Netherlands, France, the UK, and Germany are at the center of the network and have a strong influence; (3) Asian countries such as China, Japan, and India are at the periphery of the network; and (4) shocks from crisis events enhance the global financial market volatility spillover effect. Based on the above findings, effective prevention of global financial market risk volatility spillover and network diffusion and reduction in systemic risk need to be carried out in two ways. First, by focusing on the financial markets of key countries in the network, such as the Netherlands, the UK, France, and Germany. Water displacing oil is one of the main emptying methods for mobile pipelines. It has the advantages of being a simple process and highly safe. At present, the determination of a water displacing oil scheme of mobile pipelines is based on the oil–oil alternating transport theory of product oil pipelines. However, the insolubility of the oil phase and the water phase results in a great difference between the flow characteristics of water displacing oil and the oil–oil alternating transport of a product oil pipeline. In addition, due to the effect of buoyancy, the oil phase gathers at the high point of the pipeline and forms a liquid accumulation, which is difficult to carry away by water flow, resulting in the low emptying efficiency of the mobile pipeline. The essence of water displacing oil in a mobile pipeline is an oil–water two-phase unsteady displacement flow, involving liquid–liquid displacement flow, oil–water two-phase flow and water carrying oil. Aiming at such problems, domestic and foreign scholars have carried out a large number of theoretical and experimental studies, established the oil–water mixing model of water displacing oil and the relationship between macroscopic quantity (flow pattern, pressure drop and water content) and microscopic quantity (local flow field and droplet dispersion pattern, etc.) under each flow type, and explored the influence of pipeline diameter, oil phase velocity, pipeline inclination angle and other parameters on the capacity of carrying liquid accumulation. On this basis, this paper analyzes the shortcomings of the current research on the oil–water flow characteristics of water displacing oil in a mobile pipeline from three aspects: the formation mechanism of the oil–water mixture, displacing flow characteristics of immiscible fluids and flow characteristics of water carrying oil. Five future research directions are proposed, including the interface morphology and flow field characteristics of oil–water two-phase layered flow, local mixing characteristics of an oil–water two-phase dual continuous flow interface, droplet distribution and flow characteristics of oil–water two-phase dispersed flow, unsteady flow characteristics of the oil–water mixture of water displacing oil and oil accumulation and flow characteristics in topographic relief pipes. The comprehension of spoken language is a crucial aspect of dialogue systems, encompassing two fundamental tasks: intent classification and slot filling. Currently, the joint modeling approach for these two tasks has emerged as the dominant method in spoken language understanding modeling. However, the existing joint models have limitations in terms of their relevancy and utilization of contextual semantic features between the multiple tasks. To address these limitations, a joint model based on BERT and semantic fusion (JMBSF) is proposed. The model employs pre-trained BERT to extract semantic features and utilizes semantic fusion to associate and integrate this information. The results of experiments on two benchmark datasets, ATIS and Snips, in spoken language comprehension demonstrate that the proposed JMBSF model attains 98.80% and 99.71% intent classification accuracy, 98.25% and 97.24% slot-filling F1-score, and 93.40% and 93.57% sentence accuracy, respectively. These results reveal a significant improvement compared to other joint models. Furthermore, comprehensive ablation studies affirm the effectiveness of each component in the design of JMBSF. In the so-called "struggle for existence" competition, the venomous animals developed a smart and effective strategy, envenomation, for predation and defense. Biochemical analysis revealed that animal venoms are chemical pools of proteinase, peptide toxins, and small organic molecules with various biological activities. Of them, peptide toxins are of great molecular diversity and possess the capacity to modulate the activity of ion channels, the second largest group of drug targets expressed on the cell membrane, which makes them a rich resource for developing peptide drug pioneers. The spider Lycosa coelestis (L. coelestis) commonly found in farmland in China is a dominant natural enemy of agricultural pests; however, its venom composition and activity were never explored. Herein, we conducted cDNA library and transcriptomic sequencing of the venom gland of L. coelestis, which identified 1131 high-quality expressed sequence tags (ESTs), grouped into three categories denoted as toxin-like ESTs (597, 52.79%), cellular component ESTs (357, 31.56%), and non-matched ESTs (177, 15.65%). These toxin-like ESTs encode 98 non-reductant toxins, which are artificially divided into 11 families based on their sequence homology and cysteine frameworks (2–14 cysteines forming 1–7 disulfide bonds to stabilize the toxin structure). Furthermore, RP-HPLC purification combined with off-line MALDI-TOF analysis have detected 147 different peptides physically existing in the venom of L. coelestis. Electrophysiology analysis confirmed that the venom preferably inhibits the voltage-gated calcium channels in rat dorsal root ganglion neurons. Altogether, the present study has added a great lot of new members to the spider toxin superfamily and built the foundation for characterizing novel active peptides in the L. coelestis venom. Object detection based on deep learning is one of the most important and fundamental tasks of computer vision. High-performance detection algorithms have been widely used in many practical fields. For the management of workers wearing helmets in construction scenarios, this paper proposes a framework model based on the YOLOv5 detection algorithm, combined with multi-object tracking algorithms, to monitor and track whether workers wear safety helmets in real-time video. The improved StrongSORT tracking algorithm of DeepSORT is selected to reduce the loss of the tracked object caused by the occlusion, trajectory blur, and motion scale of the object. The safety helmet dataset is trained with YOLOv5s, and the best result of training is used as the weight model in the StrongSORT tracking algorithm. The experimental results show that the mAP@0.5 of all classes in the YOLOv5s model can reach 95.1% in the validation dataset, mAP@0.5:0.95 is 62.1%, and the precision of wearing helmet is 95.7%. After the box regression loss function was changed from CIOU to Focal-EIOU, the mAP@0.5 increased to 95.4%, mAP@0.5:0.95 increased to 62.9%, and the precision of wearing helmet increased to 96.5%, which were increased by 0.3%, 0.8% and 0.8%, respectively. StrongSORT can update object trajectories in video frames at a speed of 0.05 s per frame. To assess the variation in left atrial (LA) and biventricular strain and its prognostic value in the course of suspected myocarditis, this retrospective study included 55 patients with clinically suspected myocarditis who underwent cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) examinations at baseline and follow-up periods. Cine images were used for feature tracking analysis. Paired Student's t test, McNemar's test, and Cox proportional hazard regression were used for statistical analysis. The LA total emptying fraction was the only functional index that showed a statistically significant improvement. The initial LA peak's late negative strain rate (SRa) was the only parameter with a significant predictive power of major adverse cardiac events under univariable (hazard ratio [HR] 2.396, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.044–5.498, p = 0.039) and multivariable Cox survival analysis when adjusted by LA strain parameters (HR 5.072, 95% CI 1.478–17.404, p = 0.010), LA strain and functional parameters (HR 7.197, 95% CI 1.679–30.846, p = 0.008), and LA and biventricular strain and functional parameters (HR 10.389, 95% CI 2.250–47.977, p = 0.003). Thus, our findings indicate that CMR strain is useful for monitoring LA and ventricular function in suspected myocarditis, that LA function may recover preceding ventricular function changes, and that LA strain may serve as an incremental tool to predict adverse outcomes. New antimicrobial agents are urgently needed to address the increasing emergence and dissemination of multidrug-resistant bacteria. In the study, a chemically synthesized truncated peptide containing 22-amino acids derived from a C-type lectin homolog SpCTL6 of Scylla paramamosain was screened and found to exhibit broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity, indicating that it is an antimicrobial peptide (AMP), named Sp-LECin. Sp-LECin possessed the basic characteristics of most cationic AMPs, such as positive charge (+4) and a relatively high hydrophobicity (45%). After treatment with Sp-LECin, the disruption of microbial membrane integrity and even leakage of cellular contents was observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). In addition, Sp-LECin could bind lipopolysaccharide (LPS), increase the outer and inner membrane permeability and induce reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, ultimately leading to the death of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Furthermore, Sp-LECin exhibited potent anti-biofilm activity against P. aeruginosa during both biofilm formation and maturation. Notably, Sp-LECin had no obvious cytotoxicity and could greatly improve the survival of P. aeruginosa-infected zebrafish, by approximately 40% over the control group after 72 h of treatment. Hypotension induced by spinal anaesthesia is a common clinical complication associated with multiple perioperative adverse events. We conducted a systemic review and meta-analysis to confirm whether ondansetron could alleviate hypotension following spinal anaesthesia. PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library were searched to identify eligible randomised controlled trials from their respective database inception dates to 30 September 2022. The primary outcome of the meta-analysis was the incidence of hypotension after spinal anaesthesia. The risk of bias in the included studies was evaluated using the revised Cochrane risk of bias tool for randomised trials (RoB 2.0). Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development, and Evaluation was applied to assess the level of certainty. A total of 25 studies were included in this research. The meta-analysis revealed that ondansetron significantly decreased the incidence of hypotension (RR = 0.65, 95% CI 0.53–0.80, p < 0.01, I2 = 64%) and bradycardia. In addition, patients treated with ondansetron had a reduced need for vasopressors administration. This study suggests that ondansetron may be recommended as a prophylaxis for hypotension and bradycardia following spinal anaesthesia; the level of evidence was moderate with a high level of heterogeneity. Cadmium (Cd) is a potential pathogenic factor in the urinary system that is associated with various kidney diseases. Microplastics (MPs), comprising of plastic particles less than 5 mm in diameter, are a major carrier of contaminants. We applied 10 mg/L particle 5 μm MPs and 50 mg/L CdCl2 in water for three months in vivo assay to assess the damaging effects of MPs and Cd exposure on the kidney. Simple Summary: Epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) is the deadliest cancer in the female reproductive system. Currently, there are no effective early detection methods for this disease, and the treatments for advanced stages of EOC have a low success rate. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are noncoding RNAs generated from the "back-splicing" of precursor messenger RNAs. Recent studies have shown that many circRNAs are aberrantly expressed in tumor tissues and/or plasma of EOC patients, and they regulate EOC cell activity and tumor growth. We then discuss the dysregulations of circRNAs in EOC and the possibility of using them as diagnostic/prognostic markers. The difficulty of exposing active sites and easy recombination of photogenerated carriers have always been two critical problems restricting the photocatalytic activity of g-C3N4. Herein, a simple (NH4)2MoO4-induced one-step calcination method was successfully introduced to transform bulk g-C3N4 into g-C3N4/MoO2 composites with a large specific surface area. During the calcination, with the assistance of NH3 and water vapor produced by ammonium molybdate, the pyrolytical oxidation and depolymerization of a g-C3N4 interlayer were accelerated, finally realizing the exfoliation of the g-C3N4. Furthermore, another pyrolytical product of ammonium molybdate was transformed into MoO2 under an NH3 atmosphere, which was in situ loaded on the surface of a g-C3N4 nanosheet. Additionally, the results of photocatalytic hydrogen evolution under visible light show that the optimal g-C3N4/MoO2 composite has a high specific surface area and much improved performance, which is 4.1 times that of pure bulk g-C3N4. Such performance improvement can be attributed to the full exposure of active sites and the formation of abundant heterojunctions. However, with an increasing feed amount of ammonium molybdate, the oxidation degree of g-C3N4 was enhanced, which would widen the band gap of g-C3N4, leading to a weaker response ability to visible light. In this study, the water absorption, mechanical properties, and energy evolution characteristics of sandstone were examined through experimental and theoretical analysis. The P-wave velocity was found to initially decrease, then increased with immersion time and water content. The water absorption rates of three sandstone specimens decreased with immersion time and water content. The post-peak deformation of the sandstone changed from brittle failure to strain softening. With the increase in water content, the peak strength and loading Young's modulus per cycle decreased. The loading Young's modulus showed that the unloading stress and increment of unloading stress nonlinearly increased with the number of cycles and decreased before peak strength. With the increase in the number of cycles, residual strains of the sandstone specimens decreased slightly initially and then increased, while the elastic strains increased before peak strength and then decreased at the post-peak stage. With the increase in unloading stress, the energy densities nonlinearly increased. Simple Summary: Papaya mealybug, Paracoccus marginatus, is an important invasive pest worldwide, which attacks more than 200 host plants. Chlorfenapyr has been demonstrated to have a significant control effect on P. marginatus. To evaluate the long-term sublethal effects of chlorfenapyr on P. marginatus, the sublethal and transgenerational effects of chlorfenapyr on the biological traits and changes of enzyme activities of P. marginatus were investigated. The results showed that chlorfenapyr had significant effects on the development of subsequent generations of P. marginatus, and chlorfenapyr also activated the activities of SOD of P. marginatus. The results demonstrated that chlorfenapyr-mediated sublethal effects occur in at least two successive generations of P. marginatus. Therefore, it is necessary to reapply the chlorfenapyr prior to emergence of the F3 generation to suppress the population and prevent outbreaks of P. marginatus. Papaya mealybug, Paracoccus marginatus Williams and Granara de Willink (Hemiptera: Pseudococcidae), is an economically important, invasive insect that is now distributed worldwide. Chlorfenapyr has been demonstrated to have a significant control effect on P. marginatus. In order to evaluate the sublethal and transgenerational effects of chlorfenapyr on P. marginatus, the life table data of three consecutive generations were collected and analyzed by the age stage, two-sex life table method, and the enzyme activities were assayed using a spectrophotometer. The results showed that exposure to the insecticide had significant effects on the biological traits of subsequent generations of P. marginatus, and a higher intrinsic rate of increase (r), finite rate of increase (λ), net reproductive rate (R0), and a shorter mean generation time (T) were observed in the chlorfenapyr-treated F1 mealybugs. Enzyme activity assays showed that chlorfenapyr significantly inhibited the activities of catalase (CAT) and peroxidase (POD) while activating the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), which suggested that SOD, CAT, and POD may play an important role in the self-defense of P. marginatus against chlorfenapyr. These results conclusively demonstrated that exposure of P. marginatus to sublethal concentrations of chlorfenapyr induced hormetic effects on the F1 generation while having negative effects on the F0 and F3 generations. Despite the profound roles of surface deformation monitoring techniques in observing permafrost surface stability, predetermining the approximate location and time of possibly occurring severe permafrost degradation before applying these techniques is extremely necessary, but has received little attention. Taking the oil tank collapse accident in the Norilsk region as a case, we explored this concern by analyzing the permafrost deformation mechanisms and determining early surface deformation signals. Regarding this case, we firstly applied the Small Baseline Subset Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (SBAS-InSAR) technique to obtain its permafrost surface deformation rate, then utilized a sine model to decompose its interannual deformation and seasonal deformation, and finally compared the relationship between the topographic slope and deformation rate. Based on experimental results, we reveal that when the annual average temperature continuously increases at a rate of 2 ° C/year for 2∼3 consecutive years, permafrost areas with relatively large topographic slopes (>15 ° ) are more prone to severe surface deformation during the summer thaw period. Therefore, this paper suggests that permafrost areas with large topographic slopes (>15 ° ) should be taken as the key surveillance areas, and that the appropriate monitoring time for employing surface deformation monitoring techniques should be the summer thawing period after a continuous increase in annual average temperature at a rate of 2 ° C/year for 2∼3 years. Enzymes are powerful biological catalysts for natural substrates but they have low catalytic efficiency for non-natural substrates. Protein engineering can be used to optimize enzymes for catalysis and stability. 3α-Hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase/carbonyl reductase (3α-HSD/CR) catalyzes the oxidoreduction reaction of NAD+ with androsterone. Based on the structure and catalytic mechanism, we mutated the residues of T11, I13, D41, A70, and I112 and they interacted with different portions of NAD+ to switch cofactor specificity to biomimetic cofactor nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN+). Compared to wild-type 3α-HSD/CR, the catalytic efficiency of these mutants for NAD+ decreased significantly except for the T11 mutants but changed slightly for NMN+ except for the A70K mutant. The A70K mutant increased the catalytic efficiency for NMN+ by 8.7-fold, concomitant with a significant decrease in NAD+ by 1.4 × 104-fold, resulting in 9.6 × 104-fold cofactor specificity switch toward NMN+ over NAD+. Meanwhile, the I112K variant increased the thermal stability and changed to a three-state transition from a two-state transition of thermal unfolding of wild-type 3α-HSD/CR by differential scanning fluorimetry. Molecular docking analysis indicated that mutations on these residues affect the position and conformation of the docked NAD+ and NMN+, thereby affecting their activity. A70K variant sterically blocks the binding with NAD+, restores the H-bonding interactions of catalytic residues of Y155 and K159 with NMN+, and enhances the catalytic efficiency for NMN+. Accurate and effective wind power prediction plays an important role in wind power generation, distribution, and management. Inthis paper, a hybrid algorithm based on gradient descent and meta-heuristic optimization is designed to improve the accuracy of prediction and reduce the computational burden. The hybrid algorithm includes three steps: in the first step, we use the gradient descent algorithm to get the initial parameters. Secondly, we input the initial parameters into the meta-heuristic optimization algorithm to search for the "best parameters" (high-quality inferior solutions). Finally, we input optimized parameters into the RMSProp optimization algorithm and conduct gradient descent again to find a better solution. We used 2021 wind power data from Guangxi, China for the experiment. Growth-regulating factors (GRFs) are plant-specific transcription factors that play essential roles in regulating plant growth and stress response. The GRF gene families have been described in several terrestrial plants, but a comprehensive analysis of these genes in diverse aquatic species has not been reported yet. In this study, we identified 130 GRF genes in 13 aquatic plants, including floating plants (Azolla filiculoides, Wolffia australiana, Lemna minuta, Spirodela intermedia, and Spirodela polyrhiza), floating-leaved plants (Nymphaea colorata and Euryale ferox), submersed plants (Zostera marina, Ceratophyllum demersum, Aldrovanda vesiculosa, and Utricularia gibba), an emergent plant (Nelumbo nucifera), and an amphibious plant (Cladopus chinensis). The gene structures, motifs, and cis-acting regulatory elements of these genes were analyzed. Phylogenetic analysis divided these GRFs into five clusters, and ABRE cis-elements were highly enriched in the promoter region of the GRFs in floating plants. We found that abscisic acid (ABA) is efficient at inducing the turion of Spirodela polyrhiza (giant duckweed), accompanied by the fluctuated expression of SpGRF genes in their fronds.
