Simple Summary: This study investigated whether COS in the diet can improve the digestion and rumen health of beef cattle under in vitro fermentation conditions. A total of 24 fermentation tanks were randomly allocated into four groups. Each treatment had six replicates, with one tank per replicate. Each group received a different concentration of 0.02% COS, 0.04% COS, 0.08% COS, and a control group (CON). The results demonstrated that the addition of COS facilitates a shift in rumen fermentation from the acetate model to the propionate model. This is achieved by influencing the microbial population, resulting in alterations to the fermentation level, nutrient disappearance rate, and gas production. These changes have the potential to enhance rumen health. The study aimed to investigate the effect of dietary chitosan oligosaccharides (COS) meal levels on the nutrient disappearance rate, rumen fermentation, and microflora of beef cattle in vitro. A total of 24 fermentation tanks were randomly divided into four treatments containing 0% COS (CON), 0.02% COS, 0.04% COS, and 0.08% COS for an 8-day experiment period, with each treatment comprising six replicates. The disappear rates of DM, CP, EE, and total gas production were quadratically increased with increasing COS levels. The disappear rates of DM, CP, EE, and ADF were greatest, whereas the total gas production was lowest in the 0.08% COS group. The pH, NH3-N, MCP, the content of propionate, isobutyrate, butyrate, valerate, and the A/P were quadratically increased with increasing COS levels, while the A/P were linearly decreased. The pH, MCP, and the content of propionate, and butyrate were highest, whereas the NH3-N and the content of acetate, isobutyrate, valerate, and the A/P were lowest in the 0.08% COS group. Microbiomics analysis showed that the rumen microbial diversity was not altered between the CON and the 0.08% COS group. However, the relative abundance of Methanosphaera, Ruminococcus, Endomicrobium, and Eubacterium groups was increased, and the relative abundance of pathogenic bacteria Dorea and Escherichia-Shigella showed a decrease in the 0.08% COS group. Overall, the 0.08% COS was the most effective among the three addition levels, resulting in an increase in the disappearance rate of in vitro fermented nutrients and improvements in rumen fermentation indexes and microbial communities. The recombination of charges and thermal excitation of carriers at the interface between methylammonium lead iodide perovskite (PVK) and the carbon electrode are crucial factors that affect the optoelectronic performance of carbon-based hole transport layer (HTL)-free perovskite photodetectors. In this work, a method was employed to introduce SnS quantum dots (QDs) on the back surface of perovskite, which passivated the defect states on the back surface of perovskite and addressed the energy-level mismatch issue between perovskite and carbon electrode. Performance testing of the QDs and the photodetector revealed that SnS QDs possess energy-level structures that are well matched with perovskite and have high absorption coefficients. The incorporation of these QDs into the interface layer effectively suppresses the dark current of the photodetector and greatly enhances the utilization of incident light. The experimental results demonstrate that the introduction of SnS QDs reduces the dark current by an order of magnitude compared to the pristine device at 0 V bias and increases the responsivity by 10%. The optimized photodetector exhibits a wide spectral response range (350 nm to 750 nm), high responsivity (0.32 A/W at 500 nm), and high specific detectivity (>1 × 1012 Jones). This research is dedicated to optimizing the design of microfluidic cells to minimize mass transfer effects and ensure a uniform flow field distribution, which is essential for accurate SPR array detection. Employing finite element simulations, this study methodically explored the internal flow dynamics within various microfluidic cell designs to assess the impact of different contact angles on flow uniformity. The cells, constructed from Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), were subjected to micro-particle image velocimetry to measure flow velocities in targeted sections. The results demonstrate that a contact angle of 135° achieves the most uniform flow distribution, significantly enhancing the capability for high-throughput array detection. While the experimental results generally corroborated the simulations, minor deviations were observed, likely due to fabrication inaccuracies. Bismuth telluride (Bi2Te3)-based alloys have been extensively employed in energy harvesting and refrigeration applications for decades. However, commercially produced Bi2Te3-based alloys using the zone-melting (ZM) technique often encounter challenges such as insufficient mechanical properties and susceptibility to cracking, particularly in n-type Bi2Te3-based alloys, which severely limit the application scenarios for bismuth telluride devices. In this work, we seek to enhance the mechanical properties of n-type Bi2Te2.7Se0.3 alloys while preserving their thermoelectrical performance by a mixed mechanism of grain refinement and the TiN composite phase-introduced pinning effect. These nanoscale processes, coupled with the addition of TiN, result in a reduction in grain size. The pinning effects of nano-TiN contribute to increased resistance to crack propagation. Finally, the TiN-dispersed Bi2Te2.7Se0.3 samples demonstrate increased hardness, bending strength and compressive strength, reaching 0.98 GPa, 36.3 MPa and 74 MPa. When compared to the ZM ingots, those represent increments of 181%, 60% and 67%, respectively. Moreover, the thermoelectric performance of the TiN-dispersed Bi2Te2.7Se0.3 samples is identical to the ZM ingots. The samples exhibit a peak dimensionless figure of merit (ZT) value of 0.957 at 375 K, with an average ZT value of 0.89 within the 325–450 K temperature range. This work has significantly enhanced mechanical properties, increasing the adaptability and reliability of bismuth telluride devices for various applications, and the multi-effect modulation of mechanical properties demonstrated in this study can be applied to other thermoelectric material systems. Wheat powdery mildew is a fungal disorder caused by Blumeria graminis f. sp. tritici (Bgt) and is a severe and significant threat to the yield and quality of its host. The most practical and environmentally friendly approach to controlling this disease is through resistance gene identification to develop resistant varieties. Wild germplasm relatives of wheat are a valuable reservoir of genes contributing to resistance against powdery mildew. In our study, we identified the Aegilops tauschii germplasm "KU-2013", exhibiting seedling resistance to Bgt isolate E09 following hexaploidization. Genetic analysis and chromosomal localization of the powdery mildew resistance gene in doubled haploid (DH) KU-2013 indicated that the disease resistance gene in DHKU-2013 is governed by a dominant gene situated in 5DS, tentatively named PmKu-2013. Following the analysis of PmKu-2013 relative to the genes at the Pm2 locus, it was inferred that PmKu-2013 represented a distinct novel gene separate from Pm2. Using molecular marker analysis, PmKu-2013 was found to be ultimately mapped between the sdau5DS5-3 and sdau5DS6-1 markers, with genetic distances of 0.6 cM and 1.3 cM, respectively. Using markers tightly linked to PmKu-2013, the genotypes of core wheat varieties from various regions were identified, laying the foundation for the transfer and utilization of PmKu-2013 in molecular-assisted selection (MAS) for breeding. Purpose—This study aims to perform an in-depth analysis of double-diffusive natural convection (DDNC) in an irregularly shaped porous cavity. We investigate the convective heat transfer process induced by the lower wall treated as a heat source while the side walls of the enclosure are maintained at a lower temperature and concentration, and the remaining wall is adiabatic. Various factors, such as the Rayleigh number, Darcy effects, Hartmann number, Lewis number and effects of magnetic inclination are evaluated for their influence on flow dynamics and heat distribution. Design/methodology/approach—After validating the results, the FEM (finite element method) is used to simulate the flow pattern, temperature variations, and concentration by solving the nonlinear partial differential equations with the modified Rayleigh number (104 ≤ Ra ≤ 107), Darcy number (10−4 ≤ Da ≤ 10−1), Lewis number (0.1 ≤ L e ≤ 10) , and Hartmann number 0 ≤ H a ≤ 40 as the dimensionless operating parameters. Findings—The finding shows that the patterns of convection and the shape of the isotherms within porous enclosures are notably affected by the angle of the applied magnetic field. This study enhances our understanding of how double-diffusive natural convection (DDNC) operates in these enclosures, which helps improve heating and cooling technologies in various engineering fields. Research limitations/implications—Numerical and experimental extensions of the present study make it possible to investigate differences in thermal performance as a result of various curvatures, orientations, boundary conditions, and the use of three-dimensional analysis and other working fluids. Practical implications—The geometry configurations used in this study have wide-ranging applications in engineering fields, such as in heat exchangers, crystallization, microelectronics, energy storage, mixing, food processing, and biomedical systems. Paper documents are an important carrier of information related to human civilization, with the reinforcement and protection of fragile paper documents being a key aspect of their protection. This research utilized amphoteric polyvinylamine polymer as a paper reinforcement agent, strengthening the Xuan paper commonly used in paper documents. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction spectroscopy (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), solid-state 13C NMR, and other analytical methods were employed to compare the physical properties, micro-morphology, crystallinity, and aging resistance of the paper before and after reinforcement. Research was conducted on the effects of reinforcement, the aging resistance, and the effects on the fiber structure. The results indicate that polyethylenimine has a filling and bridging effect between the paper fibers. After treatment with polyethylenimine, there was a significant improvement in the folding endurance and tensile strength of the paper. Estimation of the region of attraction of the power system using sum of squares (SOS) programming theory is investigated in this paper. Firstly, the Taylor expansion formula is applied to explore the inherent polynomial structure of the swing equation. The single machine projection equation for a multi-machine system is proposed based on the amplitude characteristic of the rotor angle response in decoupled space. Secondly, the theory of SOS programming originating from the polynomial system is derived, and the theory about estimation of the region of attraction for the differential algebraic system is summarized. Thirdly, the method for estimating the region of attraction for the polynomial swing equation based on a V-S two-stage iterative procedure is proposed. Finally, a single machine infinite bus power system, an IEEE 3-machine power system, and an IEEE 4-machine power system are employed to validate the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed method and analysis. Drought stress is one of the key factors impeding agricultural productivity worldwide. This experiment aimed at investigating the polyethylene glycol (PEG)-induced drought stress effects on seed germination, physiology, and biochemical mechanisms in Tartary buckwheat genotypes. Four PEG-induced stress conditions (0%, 10%, 20%, and 30%) were applied to 14 selected genotypes at the germination stage to evaluate their stress tolerance capacity. Significant differences were obtained in germination percentage, relative water content (RWC), and all growth parameters among the studied 14 genotypes. Based on the stress tolerance index (STI), XiNong 9943, XiNong 9940, and QianKu-5 were found to be tolerant, and QuanKu-4 was susceptible. These cultivars were selected for further physiological and biochemical characterization. The results demonstrated that the activity of enzymes was significantly increased with the increase in PEG dose. SOD (superoxide dismutase), POD (peroxidase), CAT (catalase), and APX (ascorbate peroxidase) levels obtained at 30% PEG in the XiNong 9943 genotype were 2.01, 2.19, 4.92, and 4.46 times higher, respectively, than the normal growth condition (T0). Moreover, the secondary metabolite content also increased with the increase in PEG dose. At 30% PEG, the genotype XiNong 9943 yielded phenols, flavonoids, polyphenol oxidase (PPO), and phenylalanine ammonia lyase (PAL) levels that were higher by 131%, 95%, 154%, and 164%, respectively, than T0 condition. From both the findings of the activity of enzymes and the secondary metabolite content, the genotypic response to drought was ranked in the following order: XiNong 9943 > XiNong 9940 > QianKu-5 > QianKu-4, which supported the STI selection system. The transcription of glycine-rich RNA-binding protein 2 (PeGRP2) transiently increased in the roots and shoots of Populus euphratica (a salt-resistant poplar) upon initial salt exposure and tended to decrease after long-term NaCl stress (100 mM, 12 days). PeGRP2 overexpression in the hybrid Populus tremula × P. alba '717-1B4' (P. × canescens) increased its salt sensitivity, which was reflected in the plant's growth and photosynthesis. PeGRP2 contains a conserved RNA recognition motif domain at the N-terminus, and RNA affinity purification (RAP) sequencing was developed to enrich the target mRNAs that physically interacted with PeGRP2 in P. × canescens. RAP sequencing combined with RT-qPCR revealed that NaCl decreased the transcripts of PeGRP2-interacting mRNAs encoding photosynthetic proteins, antioxidative enzymes, ATPases, and Na+/H+ antiporters in this transgenic poplar. Specifically, PeGRP2 negatively affected the stability of the target mRNAs encoding the photosynthetic proteins PETC and RBCMT; antioxidant enzymes SOD[Mn], CDSP32, and CYB1-2; ATPases AHA11, ACA8, and ACA9; and the Na+/H+ antiporter NHA1. This resulted in (i) a greater reduction in Fv/Fm, YII, ETR, and Pn; (ii) less pronounced activation of antioxidative enzymes; and (iii) a reduced ability to maintain Na+ homeostasis in the transgenic poplars during long-term salt stress, leading to their lowered ability to tolerate salinity stress. Chlorophyll is a vital indicator of vegetation growth; exploring its relationship with external influencing factors is essential for studies such as chlorophyll remote sensing retrieval and vegetation growth monitoring. However, there has been limited in-depth exploration of the spatial distribution of leaf chlorophyll content (LCC) and its influencing factors across large-scale areas with varying climates and terrains. To investigate the primary influencing factors and degrees of various environmental factors on LCC, this study employed the Geodetector Model (GDM) and the LCC satellite products in Sichuan Province in 2020 to investigate the impact of relationships between nine environmental factors (meteorology, topography, and vegetation types) and the ecosystem LCC at a regional scale. The results indicated the following: (1) Elevation (q-value = 49.31%) is the primary factor determining photosynthesis in Sichuan Province, followed by temperature (46.10%) and vegetation types (40.73%). The impact of topographical factors on LCC distribution is higher than that of meteorological factors and vegetation types in terrain with complex topography. The elevation effectively distinguishes the variations in climate factors and vegetation types. (2) Combining the influencing factors pairwise increased the combined q-values. The combination of elevation with other factors yielded the highest combined q-value. (3) The q-values for all influencing factors are higher in winter and spring and lowest in summer. Different influencing factors exhibited more substantial constraints on vegetation photosynthesis during winter and spring, significantly reducing influence during summer. (4) The different primary factors drive or constrain vegetation photosynthesis in different climate zones due to their distinct temperature and humidity characteristics. Crack-tip opening displacement (CTOD) tests were conducted on girth welds of two API 5L X70 pipeline steels (pipe A and pipe B) to investigate the influence of base metal composition on the fracture toughness of the joint. CTOD measurements across the weld showed that the weld fusion zone had the lowest CTOD values for both pipes, with pipe B having a higher CTOD value than pipe A. Detailed microstructure characterization of the multi-pass weld showed that the fusion zone in both pipes consisted of three distinct zones: the columnar zone, the coarse equiaxed zone, and the fine equiaxed zone. Both the columnar zone and coarse-grained equiaxed zone had acicular ferrite and grain boundary ferrite microstructures, whereas the fine-grained equiaxed zone had a finer ferrite microstructure compared to the other two zones. The main difference between the two pipes was the variation in ferrite grain sizes and the volume fractions of grain boundary ferrite and acicular ferrite. In comparison to pipe B, pipe A, with a higher concentration of Mo, Ni, and Cu in both the base metal and the weld fusion zones, consisted of a higher volume fraction of grain boundary ferrite and a lower volume fraction of acicular ferrite in the columnar and coarse-grained equiaxed zones. The lower concentration of Mo, Ni, and Cu in pipe B likely resulted in the formation of a predominantly acicular ferrite microstructure in the fusion zone, thereby improving the toughness of the weld joint in comparison to pipe A. The switch/sucrose non-fermentable (SWI/SNF) (SWI/SNF) complex uses energy from ATP hydrolysis to mobilise nucleosomes on chromatin. Components of SWI/SNF are mutated in 20% of all human cancers, of which mutations in AT-rich binding domain protein 1A (ARID1A) are the most common. ARID1A is mutated in nearly half of ovarian clear cell carcinoma and around one-third of endometrial and ovarian carcinomas of the endometrioid type. This review will examine in detail the molecular functions of ARID1A, including its role in cell cycle control, enhancer regulation, and the prevention of telomerase activity. ARID1A has key roles in the maintenance of genomic integrity, including DNA double-stranded break repair, DNA decatenation, integrity of the cohesin complex, and reduction in replication stress, and is also involved in mismatch repair. The role of ARID1A loss in the pathogenesis of some of the most common human cancers is discussed, with a particular emphasis on gynaecological cancers. Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a microvascular complication of diabetes. Microaneurysms (MAs) are often observed in the retinal vessels of diabetic patients and represent one of the earliest signs of DR. Accurate and efficient detection of MAs is crucial for the diagnosis of DR. In this study, an automatic model (MA-YOLO) is proposed for MA detection in fluorescein angiography (FFA) images. To obtain detailed features and improve the discriminability of MAs in FFA images, SwinIR was utilized to reconstruct super-resolution images. To solve the problems of missed detection of small features and feature information loss, an MA detection layer was added between the neck and the head sections of YOLOv8. To enhance the generalization ability of the MA-YOLO model, transfer learning was conducted between high-resolution images and low-resolution images. To avoid excessive penalization due to geometric factors and address sample distribution imbalance, the loss function was optimized by taking the Wise-IoU loss as a bounding box regression loss. The performance of the MA-YOLO model in MA detection was compared with that of other state-of-the-art models, including SSD, RetinaNet, YOLOv5, YOLOX, and YOLOv7. The results showed that the MA-YOLO model had the best performance in MA detection, as shown by its optimal metrics, including recall, precision, F1 score, and AP, which were 88.23%, 97.98%, 92.85%, and 94.62%, respectively. Collectively, the proposed MA-YOLO model is suitable for the automatic detection of MAs in FFA images, which can assist ophthalmologists in the diagnosis of the progression of DR. Simple Summary: Patients with long-lasting metabolic syndrome (MS) are at high risk for cancer and complications of cardiovascular diseases, which remain the leading cause of death globally. Despite the development of many novel therapies for MS, a huge unmet need persists. Currently, there is considerable evidence that exosomes are strongly associated with the occurrence and progression of MS. Thus, this article reviews the composition, biogenesis, biological functions and potential applications of exosomes, particularly focusing on current advances about the potential role of exosomes in the development of MS. Comprehensively understanding the effects of exosome on MS could have the significant potential to identify safe and effective diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to MS. Exosomes are a subtype of extracellular vesicles (EVs) with a diameter of 30~150 nm (averaging ~100 nm) that are primarily produced through the endosomal pathway, and carry various components such as lipids, proteins, RNA, and other small molecular substances. Exosomes can mediate intercellular communication through the bioactive substances they carry, thus participating in different physiological activities. Metabolic syndrome (MS) is a disease caused by disturbances in the body's metabolism, mainly including insulin resistance (IR), diabetes, obesity, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), hyperlipidemia, and atherosclerosis (AS). Recent studies have shown that exosomes are closely related to the occurrence and development of MS. Exosomes can act as messengers to mediate signaling transductions between metabolic cells in the organism and play a bidirectional regulatory role in the MS process. This paper mainly reviews the components, biogenesis, biological functions and potential applications of exosomes, and exosomes involved in the pathogenesis of MS as well as their clinical significance in MS diagnosis. A new spatial keyword group query method is proposed in this paper to address the existing issue of user privacy leakage and exclusion of preferences in road networks. The proposed query method is based on the IGgram-tree index and minimum hash set. To deal with this problem effectively, this paper proposes a query method based on the IGgram-tree index and minimum hash set. The IGgram-tree index is proposed for the first time to deal with the approximate keyword query problem in the road network. This index significantly improves the efficiency of calculating the road network distance and querying approximate keywords. Considering that spatial keyword group queries are caused by NP-hard problems with high time complexity, this paper proposes a data structure that uses the minimum hash set, which can efficiently search for the result set. To address the problem that the traditional spatial keyword group query does not consider user privacy leakage and the limitations of existing privacy protection techniques, this method proposes a differential privacy-based allocation method to better protect the privacy of data. The theoretical study and experimental analysis show that the proposed method can better handle the approximate spatial keyword group query problem based on its use of differential privacy and exclusion preferences in road networks. Global aging leads to a surge in neurological diseases. Quantitative gait analysis for the early detection of neurological diseases can effectively reduce the impact of the diseases. Recently, extensive research has focused on gait-abnormality-recognition algorithms using a single type of portable sensor. However, these studies are limited by the sensor's type and the task specificity, constraining the widespread application of quantitative gait recognition. In this study, we propose a multimodal gait-abnormality-recognition framework based on a Convolutional Neural Network-Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (CNN-BiLSTM) network. The as-established framework effectively addresses the challenges arising from smooth data interference and lengthy time series by employing an adaptive sliding window technique. Then, we convert the time series into time–frequency plots to capture the characteristic variations in different abnormality gaits and achieve a unified representation of the multiple data types. This makes our signal processing method adaptable to several types of sensors. Additionally, we use a pre-trained Deep Convolutional Neural Network (DCNN) for feature extraction, and the consequently established CNN-BiLSTM network can achieve high-accuracy recognition by fusing and classifying the multi-sensor input data. To validate the proposed method, we conducted diversified experiments to recognize the gait abnormalities caused by different neuropathic diseases, such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson's disease (PD), and Huntington's disease (HD). In the PDgait dataset, the framework achieved an accuracy of 98.89% in the classification of Parkinson's disease severity, surpassing DCLSTM's 96.71%. Moreover, the recognition accuracy of ALS, PD, and HD on the PDgait dataset was 100%, 96.97%, and 95.43% respectively, surpassing the majority of previously reported methods. These experimental results strongly demonstrate the potential of the proposed multimodal framework for gait abnormality identification. Due to the advantages of the framework, such as its suitability for different types of sensors and fewer training parameters, it is more suitable for gait monitoring in daily life and the customization of medical rehabilitation schedules, which will help more patients alleviate the harm caused by their diseases. Five countries in the Lancang–Mekong region, including Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam, are facing the threat of deforestation, despite having a high level of forest coverage. Quantitatively assessing the forest ecosystem status and its variations based on remote sensing products for vegetation parameters is a crucial prerequisite for the ongoing phase of our future project. In this study, we analyzed forest health in the year 2020 using four vegetation indicators: forest coverage index (FCI), leaf area index (LAI), fraction of green vegetation cover (FVC), and gross primary productivity (GPP). Additionally, we introduced an ecosystem quality index (EQI) to assess the quality of forest health. To understand the long-term trends in the vegetation indicators and EQI, we also performed a linear regression analysis from 2010 to 2020. The results revealed that Laos ranked as the top-performing country for forest ecosystem status in the Lancang–Mekong region in 2020. However, the long-term trend analysis results showed that Cambodia experienced the most significant decline across all indicators, while Vietnam and Thailand demonstrated varying degrees of improvement. With the intensification of global competition and the increasing awareness of reducing energy consumption, sustainable supplier selection is crucial for establishing a solid cooperative relationship in sustainable supply chain management. This paper proposes a new framework that considers both the effective expression of uncertain information and the objective weights of decision makers to select sustainable suppliers. We first apply an interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy set to express the information of decision makers. Moreover, this paper applies a plant growth simulation algorithm to aggregate decision makers' information. Next, we adopt the similarity measure method to derive the target weight of each decision maker. Then, we apply the score function to rank the candidate sustainable suppliers. Finally, two practical cases are presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed framework. Hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)) is a typical heavy metal pollutant, making its removal from wastewater imperative. Although nanosized zero-valent iron (nZVI) and graphene-based materials are excellent remediation materials, they have drawbacks, such as agglomeration and being difficult to recycle. A facile synthesis method for decorating reduced graphene oxide (rGO) with ultrathin nZVI (within 10 nm) was explored in this study in order to develop an effective tool for Cr(VI) detoxication. Cu particles were doped in these composites for electron-transfer enhancement and were verified to improve the rate by 2.4~3.4 times. Batch experiments were conducted at different pHs, initial concentrations, ionic strengths, and humic acid (HA) concentrations. From these observations, it was found that the acid condition and appearance of Cu and rGO enhanced the treatment capacity. This procedure was fitted with a pseudo-second-order model, and the existence of NaCl and HA impeded it to some extent. Cr(VI) could be detoxified into Cr(III) and precipitated on the surface. Combining these analyses, a kinetics study, and the characterizations before and after the reaction, the removal mechanism of Cr(VI) was further discussed as a complex process involving adsorption, reduction, and precipitation. To promote the preclinical development of new treatments for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), we established NSCLC xenograft tumor assays on the chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) of chicken embryos. Five NSCLC cell lines were compared for tumor take rate, tumor growth, and embryo survival. Two of these, A549 and H460 CAM tumors, were histologically characterized and tested for susceptibility to systemic chemotherapy and gene delivery using viral vectors. All cell lines were efficiently engrafted with minimal effect on embryo survival. The A549 cells formed slowly growing tumors, with a relatively uniform distribution of cancer cells and stroma cells, while the H460 cells formed large tumors containing mostly proliferating cancer cells in a bed of vascularized connective tissue. Tumor growth was inhibited via systemic treatment with Pemetrexed and Cisplatin, a chemotherapy combination that is often used to treat patients with advanced NSCLC. Lentiviral and adenoviral vectors expressing firefly luciferase transduced NSCLC tumors in vivo. The adenovirus vector yielded more than 100-fold higher luminescence intensities after a single administration than could be achieved with multiple lentiviral vector deliveries. The adenovirus vector also transduced CAM tissue and organs of developing embryos. Adenovirus delivery to tumors was 100–10,000-fold more efficient than to embryo organs. In this paper, the influence factors and reaction mechanisms of different catalyst types on HMF hydrogenation processes were discussed. Agricultural ammonia (NH3) emissions (including farmland, livestock and poultry) are China's main sources of NH3 emissions. China's government has proposed a national strategic goal to reduce NH3 emissions. Excessive protein feeds, unreasonable manure treatments and agricultural fertilizer applications result in large emissions of NH3. Agricultural activities such as the breeding of livestock and fertilization in farmlands are the main sources of atmospheric NH3 emissions. This article discussed the progress and characteristics of typical NH3 emission inventory, calculated the nationwide NH3 emissions and analyzed the NH3 emission control strategy in the past 40 years in China. There was also an integration analysis of national documents on emission reduction technologies (including government reports) in China. The results showed that there existed single calculation methods and insufficient localization of emission factors in the estimation of domestic NH3 emissions. NH3 emission inventories varied greatly influenced by meteorology, planting structure and breeding pattern. The control strategy of NH3 emission in China has transformed from emission standards to technical guidelines to national strategic control, and it involves the coordination and cooperation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs departments. Current domestic NH3 emission management strategy needs scientific emission verification specification, multi-department and inter-provincial regional coordination mechanisms, and suggestions for further improvement have been put forward. It is urgent to evaluate precise NH3 emission inventories at different regional scales, followed by intensive NH3 emission controls in the key regions (such as North China). Government, agriculture, and breeding industries should vigorously promote low-protein feeds, large-scale livestock farming (including poultry), and pilot projects on closed negative pressure farming. Aiming at the problem that the existing spatial keyword group query problem did not consider the query requirements with exclusion keywords and time attributes, a time-aware group query problem with exclusion keywords (TEGSKQ) is proposed for the first time. To solve this problem effectively, this paper proposes a query method based on the EKTIR-Tree index and dominating group (EKTDG). This method first proposes the EKTIR-tree index, which incorporates Huffman coding and integrates Bloom filters to deal with excluded keywords in order to improve the hit rate of keyword queries, significantly improving the query efficiency and reducing the storage occupancy. Then, the Candidate algorithm is proposed based on the EKTIR-tree index to filter out the spatial–textual objects that meet the query's keywords and time requirements, narrowing the search space for subsequent queries on a large scale. To address the problem of the low efficiency of existing algorithms based on a spatial distance query, a distance-dominating group is defined and a pruning algorithm based on a spatial distance-dominating group is proposed, which is a refining process of query results and greatly improves the search efficiency of the query. Self-assembled DNA nanospheres, as versatile and ideal vehicles, have offered new opportunities to create intelligent delivery systems for precise bioimaging and cancer therapy, due to their good biostability and cell permeability, large loading capacity, and programmable self–assembly behaviors. DNA nanospheres can be synthesized by the self–assembly of Y–shaped DNA monomers, ultra–long single-stranded DNA (ssDNA), and even metal–DNA coordination. Interestingly, they are size–controllable by varying some parameters including concentration, reaction time, and mixing ratio. This review summarizes the design of DNA nanospheres and their extensive biomedical applications. First, the characteristics of DNA are briefly introduced, and different DNA nanostructures are mentioned. Then, the design of DNA nanospheres is emphasized and classified into three main categories, including Y–shaped DNA unit self-assembly by Watson–Crick base pairing, liquid crystallization and the dense packaging of ultra–long DNA strands generated via rolling circle amplification (RCA), and metal–DNA coordination–driven hybrids. Meanwhile, the advantages and disadvantages of different self–assembled DNA nanospheres are discussed, respectively. Next, the biomedical applications of DNA nanospheres are mainly focused on. Especially, DNA nanospheres serve as promising nanocarriers to deliver functional nucleic acids and drugs for biosensing, bioimaging, and therapeutics. In reinforced concrete (RC) structures, new-to-old concrete interfaces are widely present due to precast splices, repairs, and construction joints. In this paper, both monolithic and segmental specimens were fabricated with five kinds of water–cement ratios, including ordinary and high-strength concrete. The impressed current-accelerated corrosion test was used, and the degree of reinforcement corrosion was controlled by Faraday's Law. In the accelerated corrosion process, the concrete surface cracking, steel corrosion, and mechanical properties of the corroded steels in the segmental specimens were investigated and compared with monolithic specimens considering the pouring method, concrete strength, and the strength difference between new and old concrete. The prediction of concrete cracking time was also discussed. The results indicated that, for the monolithic specimens, longitudinal cracks could be observed on the ordinary concrete surface, while no cracks were produced on a high-strength concrete surface; only the rust leaked out at the ends. For the segmental specimens, both longitudinal and transverse cracks were produced on an ordinary concrete surface, while only transverse cracks were produced at the high-strength new-to-old concrete interfaces. The steel embedded in the segmental specimens suffered more sectional loss at the new-to-old concrete interfaces. An influence coefficient based on the section loss of the rebar was proposed to evaluate the influence of interfaces on the rust uniformity of rebars. When there were differences in strength between new and old concrete, the influence of the interface on the uniformity of steel bar cross-section loss slightly increased. Based on available theoretical analysis for uniform corrosion, the concrete cracking time of the monolithic specimens was predicted, which was basically consistent with experimental phenomena. Essential oils (EOs) have stability problems, including volatility, oxidation, photosensitivity, heat sensitivity, humidity sensitivity, pH sensitivity, and ion sensitivity. A drug delivery system is an effective way to stabilize EOs, especially due to the protective effect of polymeric drug carriers. Polysaccharides are frequently employed as drug carrier materials because they are highly safe, come in a variety of forms, and have plentiful sources. Interestingly, the EO drug delivery system is based on the biomimetic concept since it corresponds to the structure of plant tissue. In this paper, we associate the biomimetic plant-like structures of the EO drug delivery system with the natural forms of EO in plant tissues, and summarize the characteristics of polysaccharide-based drug carriers for EO protection. Thus, we highlight the research progress on polysaccharides and their modified materials, including gum arabic, starch, cellulose, chitosan, sodium alginate, pectin, and pullulan, and their use as biomimetic drug carriers for EO preparations due to their abilities and potential for EO protection. Precipitation in the Tianshan Mountains is abundant, and the quantitative estimation of precipitation in mountainous areas is important to the application and evaluation of regional water resources. With remote sensing technology, satellite inversion of precipitation can estimate precipitation in mountainous areas. However, the Tianshan Mountain terrain is complex, and the spatiotemporal variation in precipitation is large, so the accuracy of satellite precipitation inversion is not high. Here, precipitation data from around 1000 automatic weather stations in the Tianshan Mountains are used to study the correction technology of the Integrated Multisatellite Retrievals for the Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) mission's (IMERG) monthly precipitation products using stepwise regression (STEP), geographically weighted regression (GWR), and random forest (RF). First, geographic information system technology was used to extract topographic variables from a digital elevation model, and vegetation indexes, which are important precipitation indicators, were introduced as explanatory factors to correct satellite precipitation data. Second, GPM IMERG precipitation was corrected by establishing the stepwise regression, the geographically weighted regression model, and the random forest model. The three correction methods can improve the GPM IMERG in terms of relative bias, root mean square error, correlation coefficient, and Nash–Sutcliffe efficiency, while the random forest method shows better corrections than the two traditional methods. For dense rainfall stations, the geographically weighted regression method is as effective as random forest. For different altitudes, the results show that RF has the best correction effect in the first three zones, but the correction effect in the last zone (over 3000 m) is worse than STEP. This study provides a practical reference method for estimating precipitation data in the non-rainfall observation area, which helps to deepen the scientific understanding of the water resource distribution in the Tianshan Mountains and provide scientific data support for regional hydrological and meteorological research. Influenza A virus (IAV) is a leading cause of human respiratory infections and poses a major public health concern. IAV replication can affect the expression of DNA methyltransferases (DNMTs), and the subsequent changes in DNA methylation regulate gene expression and may lead to abnormal gene transcription and translation, yet the underlying mechanisms of virus-induced epigenetic changes from DNA methylation and its role in virus–host interactions remain elusive. Here in this paper, we showed that DNMT1 expression could be suppressed following the inhibition of miR-142-5p or the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway during IAV infection, resulting in demethylation of the promotor region of the 2′-5′-oligoadenylate synthetase-like (OASL) protein and promotion of its expression in A549 cells. OASL expression enhanced RIG-I-mediated interferon induction and then suppressed replication of IAV. Our study elucidated an innate immunity mechanism by which up-regulation of OASL contributes to host antiviral responses via epigenetic modifications in IAV infection, which could provide important insights into the understanding of viral pathogenesis and host antiviral defense. Ti-based bulk metallic glass (BMG) alloys have attracted widespread attention due to their strong glass forming ability, high specific strength, and good corrosion resistance. However, the poor plasticity of BMGs limits their further application in the aerospace and aircraft fields, as well as others. We optimized the composition of SiC-reinforced, Ti-based metallic glass matrix composites (MGMCs) through finite element modeling (FEM). FEM of MGMCs containing irregularly shaped SiC particles with different contents was conducted. Stress and strain analyses were conducted to evaluate the effect of the particle volume fraction on the mechanical behavior of MGMCs, and an optimization value of 30% was obtained, which is conducive to plasticity improvement. Arc melting copper mold injection casting was used to verify the optimized SiC content. The results show that the electroless nickel plating treatment effectively improves the wettability between SiC particles and the amorphous matrix, enabling the successful preparation of SiC/MGMC with a volume fraction of 29.5% through traditional injection casting. The volume fraction of SiC plays a crucial role in the transition of fracture mode from splitting to shear in MGMCs. After adding lightweight SiC particles, the yield strength, plasticity, modulus, and specific strength were improved by 25%, 1471%, 46%, and 33%, indicating that the use of nickel-plated SiC particles in MGMCs is an effective strengthening and toughening method for BMGs. Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by systemic immunity and autoimmune disorders. We have previously found that oxymatrine (OMT), a natural alkaloid, can alleviate rheumatoid arthritis without knowing whether OMT can alleviate rheumatoid arthritis through gut microbiota. In this study, we found that OMT can alleviate collagen-induced arthritis in mice and reconstruct the immune balance of Th1/Th2, Treg/Th17, and Tfr/Tfh cells. Colon transcriptome gene enrichment analysis indicated that oxymatrine may alleviate collagen induced arthritis in mice through immune system process pathway. Furthermore, OMT significantly altered the gut microbiota variety, changed the composition of microbial colonies, and reshaped the gut microbiota of collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) mice, which may participate in the regulation of the balance of Th1/Th2, Treg/Th17, and Tfr/Tfh cells to alleviate collagen-induced arthritis in mice. An adaptive control of phase lock oscillator (PLO) is proposed to increase the ability of LCC-based HVDC systems to successfully recover from commutation failure, where the dynamic performance during the recovery process is improved. The phase lock oscillator is one of the most important parts of the control system, which is used to trace the phase angle of commutating voltage. However, the PLO with constant parameters cannot provide accurate information under both steady-state operation and large disturbances. In our work, the control parameters of PLO can be adaptively adjusted, following the states of commutating voltage. When the system is operating in a steady state, the PLO selects parameters that exhibit improved small-signal stability, while parameters prioritizing dynamic behaviors with high-tracing accuracy are adopted during large disturbances. DC microgrids are highly compatible with photovoltaic (PV) generation because of their direct-current properties. However, with the increasing integration of PV sources into DC microgrids, traditional maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithms may cause problems such as overvoltage and power fluctuation, which makes it challenging to keep the stability of the DC-bus voltage due to the intermittent and stochastic nature of PVs. Consequently, in order to reduce the investment and maintenance costs of storage systems, innovative control methods are required for PVs to provide DC-bus voltage regulation services. In this paper, a novel active power control (APC) strategy, based on characteristic curve fitting, is proposed to flexibly regulate the PV output power. The transient process performance and robustness of the system are improved with the proposed APC strategy. Based on it, a V-P droop mechanism is designed to provide voltage regulating (DVR) service for the DC microgrid. The overall control strategy unifies the DVR function with the traditional MPPT function in the same control structure; thus, the PV source either works in the MPPT mode if the DC-bus is at its nominal value, or it works in the DVR mode if the DC-bus exceeds it. Switching between MPPT and DVR is autonomous, and it is fully decentralized, which improves the PV generation efficiency as well as ensures generation fairness among different parallel PV sources. Crystalline borates have received great attention due to their various structures and wide applications. For a long time, the corner-sharing B–O unit is considered a basic rule in borate structural chemistry. The Dy4B6O15 synthesized under high-pressure is the first oxoborate with edge-sharing [BO4] tetrahedra, while the KZnB3O6 is the first ambient pressure borate with the edge-sharing [BO4] tetrahedra. The edge-sharing connection modes greatly enrich the structural chemistry of borates and are expected to expand new applications in the future. In this review, we summarize the recent progress in crystalline borates with edge-sharing [BO4] tetrahedra. We discuss the synthesis, fundamental building blocks, structural features, and possible applications of these edge-sharing borates. Finally, we also discuss the future perspectives in this field. Dynamic vibration absorbers (DVAs) are extensively used in the prevention of building and bridge vibrations, as well as in vehicle suspension and other fields, due to their excellent damping performance. The reliable optimization of DVA parameters is key to improve their performance. In this paper, an H ∞ optimization problem of a novel three-element-type DVA model including an inerter device and a grounded negative stiffness spring is studied by combining a traditional theory and an intelligent algorithm. Firstly, to ensure the system's stability, the specific analytical expressions of the optimal tuning frequency ratio, stiffness ratio, and approximate damping ratio with regard to the mass ratio and inerter–mass ratio are determined through fixed-point theory, which provides an iterative range for algorithm optimization. Secondly, the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is used to further optimize the four parameters of DVA simultaneously. The effects of the traditional fixed-point theory and the intelligent PSO algorithm are comprehensively compared and analyzed. The results verify that the effect of the coupling of the traditional theory and the intelligent algorithm is better than that of fixed-point theory alone and can make the two resonance peaks on the amplitude–frequency response curves almost equal, which is difficult to achieve using fixed-point theory alone. Finally, we compare the proposed model with other DVA models under harmonic and random excitation. By comparing the amplitude–frequency curves, stroke lengths, mean square responses, time history diagrams, variances and decrease ratios, it is clear that the established DVA has a good vibration absorption effect. As an iron-dependent regulated form of cell death, ferroptosis is characterized by iron-dependent lipid peroxidation and has been implicated in the occurrence and development of various diseases, including nervous system diseases and injuries. Ferroptosis has become a potential target for intervention in these diseases or injuries in relevant preclinical models. As a member of the Acyl-CoA synthetase long-chain family (ACSLs) that can convert saturated and unsaturated fatty acids, Acyl—CoA synthetase long-chain familymember4 (ACSL4) is involved in the regulation of arachidonic acid and eicosapentaenoic acid, thus leading to ferroptosis. The underlying molecular mechanisms of ACSL4-mediated ferroptosis will promote additional treatment strategies for these diseases or injury conditions. Our review article provides a current view of ACSL4-mediated ferroptosis, mainly including the structure and function of ACSL4, as well as the role of ACSL4 in ferroptosis. We also summarize the latest research progress of ACSL4-mediated ferroptosis in central nervous system injuries and diseases, further proving that ACSL4-medicated ferroptosis is an important target for intervention in these diseases or injuries. To better predict the timely variation of algal blooms and other vital factors for safer drinking water production, a new AI scanning–focusing process was investigated for improving the simulation and prediction of algae counts. With a feedforward neural network (FNN) as a base, nerve cell numbers in the hidden layer and the permutation and combination of factors, etc., were fully scanned to select the best models and highly correlated factors. All the factors involved in the modeling and selection included the date (year/month/day), sensor data (temperature, pH, conductivity, turbidity, UV254-dissolved organic matter, etc.), lab measurements (algae concentration) and calculated CO2 concentration. The new AI scanning–focusing process resulted in the best models with the most suitable key factors, which are named closed systems. In this case study, models with highest prediction performance are the (1) date–algae–temperature–pH (DATH) and (2) date–algae–temperature–CO2 (DATC) systems. After the model selection process, the best models from both DATH and DATC were used to compare the other two methods in the modeling simulation process: the simple traditional neural network method (SP), where only date and target factor as inputs, and a blind AI training process (BP), which considers all available factors as inputs. Validation results show that all methods except BP had comparable results for algae prediction and other water quality factors, such as temperature, pH and CO2, among which DATC displayed an obviously poorer performance through curve fitting with original CO2 data compared to that of SP. Therefore, DATH and SP were selected for the application test, where DATH outperformed SP due to the uncompromised performance after a long training period. Our AI scanning–focusing process and model selection showed the potential for improving water quality prediction by identifying the most suitable factors. Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) has been clearly recognized as a heterogeneous tumor with the worst prognosis among the subtypes of breast cancer (BC). The advent and application of current small-molecule drugs for treating TNBC, as well as other novel inhibitors, among others, have made treatment options for TNBC more selective. However, there are still problems, such as poor patient tolerance, large administration doses, high dosing frequency, and toxic side effects, necessitating the development of more efficient and less toxic treatment strategies. High expression of Nrf2, a vital antioxidant transcription factor, often promotes tumor progression, and it is also one of the most effective targets in BC therapy. We found that in MDA-MB-231 cells and SUM159 cells, brusatol (BRU) combined with polydatin (PD) could significantly inhibit cell proliferation in vitro, significantly downregulate the expression of Nrf2 protein as well as the expression of downstream related target genes Heme Oxygenase-1 (HO-1) and NAD(P)H dehydrogenase, quinone 1 (NQO1), and promote reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels to further strengthen the anti-tumor effect. Furthermore, we discovered in our in vivo experiments that by reducing the drug dosage three times, we could significantly reduce tumor cell growth while avoiding toxic side effects, providing a treatment method with greater clinical application value for TNBC treatment. 3,4,5,4'-Trans-tetramethoxystilbene (Synonyms: DMU-212) is a resveratrol analogue with stronger antiproliferative activity and more bioavailability. However, the metabolite characterization of this component remains insufficient. An efficient strategy was proposed for the comprehensive in vivo metabolite profiling of DMU-212 after oral administration in ApcMin/+ mice based on the effectiveness of the medicine. Ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole/orbitrap/linear ion trap mass spectrometry (UHPLC-Q/Orbitrap/LTQ MS) in the AcquireXTM intelligent data acquisition mode, combining the exact mass and structural information, was established for the profiling and identification of the metabolites of DMU-212 in vivo, and the possible metabolic pathways were subsequently proposed after the oral dose of 240mg/kg for 3 weeks in the colorectal adenoma (CRA) spontaneous model ApcMin/+ mice. A total of 63 metabolites of DMU-212 were tentatively identified, including 48, 48, 34 and 28 metabolites in the ApcMin/+ mice's intestinal contents, liver, serum, and colorectal tissues, respectively. The metabolic pathways, including demethylation, oxidation, desaturation, methylation, acetylation, glucuronide and cysteine conjugation were involved in the metabolism. Additionally, further verification of the representative active metabolites was employed using molecular docking analysis. Sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P) is an important sphingolipid molecule involved in regulating cardiovascular functions in physiological and pathological conditions by binding and activating the three G protein-coupled receptors (S1PR1, S1PR2, and S1PR3) expressed in endothelial and smooth muscle cells, as well as cardiomyocytes and fibroblasts. It exerts its actions through various downstream signaling pathways mediating cell proliferation, migration, differentiation, and apoptosis. S1P is essential for the development of the cardiovascular system, and abnormal S1P content in the circulation is involved in the pathogenesis of cardiovascular disorders. This article reviews the effects of S1P on cardiovascular function and signaling mechanisms in different cell types in the heart and blood vessels under diseased conditions. Simple Summary: Oral lichenoid conditions are common potentially malignant disorders affecting oral mucosa. The 2003 modified WHO criteria is the most widely used criteria in diagnosing oral lichen planus; however, the concern on the implementation of epithelial dysplasia as an exclusion criterion may result in the remarkable underestimation of the potential malignancy of this disease continuing. This systemic review and meta-analysis attempted to provide an objective view by comparing the malignant transformation rate of oral lichen planus diagnosed according to the 2003 modified WHO criteria and non-2003 criteria, and to determine risk variables associated with malignant transformation of oral lichenoid conditions. We found that the malignant transformation rate of oral lichen planus differed based on diagnostic criteria, with lower rates for the 2003 modified WHO criteria than non-2003 criteria, albeit not statistically significant. A higher incidence of malignant transformation was found for red-type lesions and patients who are smokers, alcohol consumers, and HCV positive. Objectives: This systematic review and meta-analysis aims to evaluate the evidence on the malignant potential of oral lichenoid conditions (OLCs) including oral lichen planus (OLP), oral lichenoid lesions (OLL), and lichenoid mucositis dysplasia (LMD). In addition, it aims to compare the rate of malignant transformation (MT) in OLP patients diagnosed according to different diagnostic criteria, and to investigate the possible risk factors for OLP MT into OSCC. Materials and methods: A standardized search strategy was applied across four databases (PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and Scopus). Screening, identification and reporting followed the PRISMA framework. Data on MT were calculated as a pooled proportion (PP), subgroup analyses and possible risk factors for MT were pooled as odds ratios (ORs). Results: Among 54 studies with 24,277 patients, the PP for OLCs MT was 1.07% (95% CI [0.82, 1.32]). The estimated MT rate for OLP, OLL and LMD was 0.94%, 1.95% and 6.31%, respectively. The PP OLP MT rate using the 2003 modified WHO criteria group was lower than that using the non-2003 criteria (0.86%; 95% CI [0.51, 1.22] versus 1.01%; 95% CI [0.67, 1.35]). A higher odds ratio of MT was observed for red OLP lesions (OR = 3.52; 95% CI [2.20, 5.64]), smokers (OR = 1.79; 95% CI [1.02, 3.03]), alcohol consumers (OR = 3.27, 95% CI [1.11, 9.64]) and those infected with HCV (OR = 2.55, 95% CI [1.58, 4.13]), compared to those without these risk factors. Conclusions: OLP and OLL carry a low risk of developing OSCC. MT rates differed based on diagnostic criteria. A higher odds ratio of MT was observed among red OLP lesions, smokers, alcohol consumers, and HCV-positive patients. These findings have implications for practice and policies. Dynamic vibration absorbers (DVAs) are widely used in engineering practice because of their good vibration control performance. Structural design or parameter optimization could improve its control efficiency. In this paper, the viscoelastic Maxwell-type DVA model with an inerter and multiple stiffness springs is investigated with the combination of the traditional theory and an intelligent algorithm. Firstly, the expressions and approximate optimal values of the system parameters are obtained using the fixed-point theory to deal with the H ∞ optimization problem, which can provide help with the range of parameters in the algorithm. Secondly, we innovatively introduce the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm to prove that the algorithm could adjust the value of the approximate solution to minimize the maximum amplitude by analyzing and optimizing the single variable and four variables. Furthermore, the validity of the parameters is further verified by simulation between the numerical solution and the analytical solution using the fourth-order Runge–Kutta method. Finally, the DVA demonstrated in this paper is compared with typical DVAs under random excitation. The timing sequence and variances, as well as the decreased ratios of the displacements, show that the presented DVA has a more satisfactory control performance. The inerter and negative stiffness spring can indeed bring beneficial effects to the vibration absorber. Remarkably, the intelligent algorithm can make the resonance peaks equal in the parameter optimization of the vibration absorber, which is quite difficult to achieve with theoretical methods at present. At present, binary bimetallic sulfides are widely studied in supercapacitors due to their high conductivity and excellent specific capacitance (SC). In this article, NiCo-S nanostructured hybrid electrode materials were prepared on nickel foam (NF) by using a binary metal–organic skeleton as the sacrificial template via a two-step hydrothermal method. Comparative analysis was carried out with Ni-S and Co-S in situ on NF to verify the excellent electrochemical performance of bimetallic sulfide as an electrode material for supercapacitors. NiCo-S/NF exhibited an SC of 2081 F∙g−1 at 1 A∙g−1, significantly superior to Ni-S/NF (1520.8 F∙g−1 at 1 A∙g−1) and Co-S/NF (1427 F∙g−1 at 1 A∙g−1). In addition, the material demonstrated better rate performance and cycle stability, with a specific capacity retention rate of 58% at 10 A∙g−1 than at 1 A∙g−1, and 75.7% of capacity was retained after 5000 cycles. This study proposes the mechanism of two-dimensional ultrasonic assisted grinding- electrolysis-discharge generating machining (2UG-E-DM). It analyzed the influence of vibration directions on grinding characteristics and surface morphology through the motion simulation of an abrasive. Comparative experiments with different vibration directions verified the effect of ultrasonic assistance on the weakening of the grinding force, the widening of the surface pits, and the leveling of the surface morphology of SiCp/Al composites. Simulation analysis of a single abrasive particle verified the test results. The results of machining tests at different amplitudes showed that as the workpiece and tool amplitude increased, the grinding force of the normal force decreased faster than that of the tangential force. The effect of surface electrolysis discharge machining was significant, and the number of exposed particles increased, but the residual height of the surface and the surface roughness were reduced by vibration grinding. When the two-dimensional amplitude was increased to 5 μm, the axial and tangential vibrations increased the grinding domain, and the dragging and rolling of the reinforced particles significantly reduced the surface roughness, which obtained good surface quality. Soil salinisation has been considered a substantial ecosystem issue with negative effects on sustainable agricultural practices. Practices of vegetation restoration are widely conducted for coping with saline soil degradation, especially in saline-alkali abandoned farmland. Compared with bulk soils, the rhizosphere soils of plants have different microbial community structures. However, how associations and functions of microbes vary in the rhizosphere and bulk soils of salt-tolerant plants remains unclear, limiting the successful implementation and efficacy of vegetation in restoring saline-alkali lands. Here, we analysed the fungal community composition, functional guilds, and co-occurrence networks in both rhizosphere and bulk soils of typical plant species in the abandoned farmland of the Yellow River Delta, China. Not all plant species had significantly different fungal community compositions and relative functional guild abundances between the rhizosphere and bulk soil. Soil nutrient concentrations explained more variance in the soil fungal community. Network analyses indicated that the rhizosphere fungal network had more nodes and links, more negative links, and higher modularity; however, fewer species were involved in the meta-module than those in the bulk soil network, indicating a more complex topology and niche differentiation therein. More generalist species and indicator taxa essential for carbon and nitrogen cycling (e.g., Sordariomycetes and Dothideomycetes) were identified in the salt-tolerant plant rhizosphere network. Overall, the salt-tolerant plants' rhizosphere had a more stable fungal co-occurrence network and recruited more keystone species compared to the bulk soil, which could benefit soil nutrient cycling and soil restoration in abandoned farmlands. The bound state in the continuum (BIC) has paved a new way to achieve excellent localization of the resonant mode coexisting with a continuous spectrum in the metasurface. Here, we propose an all-dielectric metasurface consisting of periodic pairs of asymmetric crosses that supports multiple Fano resonances. Due to the sufficient degrees of freedom in the unit cell, we displaced the vertical bars horizontally to introduce in-plane perturbation, doubling the unit cell structure. Dimerization directly resulted in the folding of the Brillouin zone in k space and transformed the BIC modes into quasi-BIC resonances. Then, simultaneous in-plane symmetry breaking was introduced in both the x and y directions to excite two more resonances. The physical mechanisms of these BIC modes were investigated by multipole decomposition of the scattering cross section and electromagnetic near-field analysis, confirming that they are governed by toroidal dipole (TD) modes and magnetic dipole (MD) modes. We also investigated the flexible tunability and evaluated the sensing performance of our proposed metasurface. With the aging of the social population structure, the number of empty-nesters is also increasing. Therefore, it is necessary to manage empty-nesters with data mining technology. This paper proposed an empty-nest power user identification and power consumption management method based on data mining. Firstly, an empty-nest user identification algorithm based on weighted random forest was proposed. Compared with similar algorithms, the results indicate that the performance of the algorithm is the best, and the identification accuracy of empty-nest users is 74.2%. Then a method for analyzing the electricity consumption behavior of empty-nest users based on fusion clustering index adaptive cosine K-means was proposed, which can adaptively select the optimal number of clusters. Compared with similar algorithms, the algorithm has the shortest running time, the smallest Sum of the Squared Error (SSE), and the largest mean distance between clusters (MDC), which are 3.4281 s, 31.6591 and 13.9513, respectively. Finally, an anomaly detection model with an Auto-regressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) algorithm and an isolated forest algorithm was established. The case analysis shows that the recognition accuracy of abnormal electricity consumption for empty-nest users was 86%. Spatial land surface heterogeneities are widespread at various scales and represent a great challenge to leaf area index (LAI) retrievals and product validations. In this paper, considering the mixed water and vegetation pixels prevalent at moderate and low resolutions, we propose a methodological framework for conducting global comparisons of heterogeneous land surfaces based on criterion setting and a global search of high-resolution data. We construct a global network, Heterogeneous Surface Network aiming Water and Vegetation Mixture (HESNet-WV), comprised of three vegetation types: grassland, evergreen broadleaf forests (EBFs), and evergreen needle forests (ENFs). Validation is performed using the MCD15A3H Global 500-m/4-day and GLASS 500-m/8-day LAI products. As the water area fraction (WAF), LAI values and LAI inversion errors increase in the MODIS and GLASS products, the GLASS product errors (relative LAI error (RELAI): 94.43%, bias: 0.858) are lower than the MODIS product errors (RELAI: 124.05%, bias: 1.209). The result indicates that the proposed framework can be applied to evaluate the accuracy of LAI values in mixed water-vegetation pixels in different global LAI products. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In the process of zinc smelting, when the chloride ion concentration exceeds 100 mg/L, it continuously corrodes the electrode plate and affects the stability of the electrodeposition process. Therefore, the chloride concentration must be reduced below 100 mg/L. Compared with other methods used to control the reactions of Cu(II), the use of the copper slag produced in zinc smelting without other additives does not cause reverse dissolution; to reduce the cost, turn the waste into treasure, and protect the environment, research was carried out on chloride removal by the copper slag via a synergistic valence control process. In this study, the influencing factors, such as the amount of copper slag, the reaction time, and reaction temperature, were systematically investigated. The results showed that the optimum dechlorination conditions were as follows: the copper: copper(II): chloride molar ratio was 6:5:1, the reaction time was 60 min, and the reaction temperature was 20 °C. The chloride ion concentration was decreased from 1.6 g/L to 0.05 g/L, the dechlorination efficiency was 96.875%, and the residual chloride ion concentration was less than 100 mg/L, which provides a basis for industrial use. A biodegradable photodynamic antibacterial film (PS-CF) was prepared using the casting method, with κ-Carrageenan (κ-Car) as the film-forming substrate and curcumin-β-cyclodextrin (Cur-β-CD) complex as photosensitizer. Chilled pork samples were coated with PS-CF and stored at 4 °C to investigate the effects of PS-CF combined with LED light irradiation (425 nm, 45 min) (PS+L+) on pork preservation during 10 days of storage. The total viable count (TVC) of bacteria, total volatile basic nitrogen value (TVB-N) and the pH of pork treated with PS+L+ were all lower than the control, and the water-holding capacity (WHC) was higher. Ten days later, the TVB-N value was 12.35 ± 0.57 mg/100 g and the TVC value was 5.78 ± 0.17 log CFU/g, which was within the acceptable range. Sensory evaluation determined that the color, odor, and overall acceptability of pork treated with PS+L+ were significantly better than the control. These findings suggest that PS+L+ treatment effectively extended the shelf life of chilled pork from ~4–5 to 10 days. Correlation analysis showed that the sensory quality of the chilled pork significantly correlated with total bacterial counts, TVB-N and thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) (p < 0.05), suggesting that these biomarkers could be used as standard indicators for evaluating the freshness of chilled pork. These findings demonstrate the effectiveness of Cur-β-CD photodynamic antibacterial film for the preservation of chilled pork and provide a theoretical basis for the application of the film for the preservation of fresh food in general.
