Osmotic stress is a major threaten to the growth and yield stability of Brassica napus. Post-translational modification with O-linked β-N-acetylglucosamine (O-GlcNAc) is ubiquitous in plants, and participates in a variety of signal transduction and metabolic regulation. However, studies on the role of O-GlcNAc transferase (OGT) in osmotic stress tolerance of plants are limited. In previous study, a O-glycosyltransferase, named BnaC09.OGT, was identified from the B. napus variety 'Zhongshuang 11' by yeast one hybrid with promoter of BnaA01.GPAT9. It was found that BnaC09.OGT localized in both nucleus and cytoplasm. The spatiotemporal expression pattern of BnaC09.OGT exhibited tissue specificity in developmental seed, especially in 15 days after pollination. In view of osmotic stress inducing, the BnaC09.OGT overexpression and knockout transgenic lines were constructed for biological function study. Phenotypic analysis of BnaC09.OGT overexpression seedlings demonstrated that BnaC09.OGT could enhance osmotic stress tolerance than WT and knockout lines in euphylla stage under 15% PEG6000 treatment after 7 days. In addition, compared with WT and knockout lines, overexpression of BnaC09.OGT had significantly higher activities of antioxidant enzymes (SOD and POD), higher content of soluble saccharide, and while significantly less content of malondialdehyde, proline and anthocyanidin under 15% PEG6000 treatment after 7 days. On the other hand, the unsaturated fatty acid content of BnaC09.OGT overexpression was significantly higher than that of WT and knockout lines, so it is speculated that the BnaC09.OGT could increase unsaturated fatty acid biosynthesis for osmotic stress tolerance by promoting the expression of BnaA01.GPAT9 in glycerolipid biosynthesis. In summary, the above results revealed that the function of BnaC09.OGT provides new insight for the analysis of the pathway of O-glycosylation in regulating osmotic stress tolerance in B. napus. Wire and arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) offers promise in creating large complex structures due to its flexibility and high material deposition rates. The nickel-based alloy IN718 is favoured for WAAM due to its weldability and compatibility. However, WAAM can introduce issues like anisotropic grain structure, porosity, and residual stresses which can lead to directional variations in tensile, fatigue, and fracture behaviour. This paper studied the WAAM process of IN718, utilising cold metal transfer (CMT). The optimised CMT-WAAM parameters for IN718 were identified to as a wire feed speed of 8–10 m/min and a torch travel speed of 0.5–0.7 m/min, resulting in stable deposition and minimal defects. Nevertheless, columnar grain structures were observed in the build direction (BD), with coarse grains in the wall-length direction (WD). This anisotropic microstructure coupled with stress concentrators, contributes to the directional dependence observed in tensile properties, fatigue endurance, and crack growth. The investigation revealed superior ductility in the BD compared to the WD. Interestingly, the fatigue endurance testing showed a longer life in the WD compared with the BD, attributed to stronger stress concentrators in the BD specimens. The formation of single and stable ink droplets is crucial for producing high-quality functional films in drop-on-demand (DOD) inkjet printing. The stability and singularity of droplet formation are significantly influenced by filament breakup behavior, governed by the rheological parameters of the ink formula. This study explores the droplet formation behavior of Poly3-hexylthiophene (P3HT) ink across various Weber numbers (We) and assesses the impact of the Z value on the formation of single ink droplets. Observations reveal that as the We number increases, droplet morphology transitions from single to double, and eventually to sputtered droplets. Results demonstrate that stable, single droplets form when the We number ≤ 13 and 12 < Z < 34, with a pulse duration of approximately 340 μs. When the We number exceeds 13, the molecular chains of P3HT stretch due to high hydrodynamic forces, resulting in the formation of unwanted satellite droplets. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Soil amendments such as humic acid (HA), a biochar-based microbial agent (M), and vermicompost (V) can improve soil quality and promote crop growth. However, it remains unclear whether the co-application of the three soil amendments (HMV) has a synergistic effect on alleviating soil quality deterioration obstacles caused by dry sowing and wet emergence technology in Xinjiang cotton fields. A three-year field experiment was conducted in saline–alkali soils using plastic-film-mulched drip irrigation in Xinjiang, China. Through the orthogonal experiment method, the application amounts of HA, M and V were 75 kg ha−1, 75 kg ha−1 and 225 kg ha−1 respectively in 2021. In 2022, three application amount gradients were used for HA, M and V: 60 kg ha−1, 90 kg ha−1 and 120 kg ha−1 respectively. In 2023, the application amounts of HA, M, and V were 60 kg ha−1, 120 kg ha−1, and 120 kg ha−1. It should be pointed out that V contains HA in the range of 20–35%. This study aimed to explore the improvement effect of a single or combined application of HA, M, and V on soil quality and cotton emergence rate using dry sowing and wet emergence technology in Xinjiang cotton fields. The results showed that the single and combined applications of HA, M, and V improved the soil quality and water–heat–salt environment of the cultivated layer. In the combined application, the cotton seedling emergence rate and yield increased by 1.9–22.8% and 7.0–54.1%. Therefore, it is recommended to jointly apply HA, M, and V to promote cotton seedling emergence and increase yield using dry sowing and wet emergence technology in Xinjiang cotton fields. This study explores the mechanical properties of Glass Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (GFRP), a high-performance composite material, focusing on how varying diameters affect its tensile strength, modulus, and elongation. Experimental data obtained from three sets of tensile tests on 10, 12, and 25 mm bars helped establish a stress–strain relationship for GFRP reinforcements, considering diameter changes, and a formula for calculating the ultimate tensile strength based on diameter. Utilizing the weakest chain theory and the Weibull distribution, the research found that GFRP's tensile strength diminished with increased diameter, while the elastic modulus behaves oppositely. The analysis, grounded in the weakest chain theory, identifies the specimen's effective volume as a critical factor in the size effect of GFRP bars. Moreover, the study proves a significant size effect on GFRP's tensile properties, validating the theory's application in predicting the strength of GFRP bars of varying sizes and recommending a specimen length range of 30–40 times its diameter for standardization purposes. Mesophase pitch is usually prepared by radical polymerization or catalytic polymerization from coal tar, petroleum, and aromatic compounds, and the catalytic synthesis of mesophase pitch from pure aromatic compounds is more controllable in the preparation of high-quality mesophase pitch. However, the corrosive and highly toxic nature of the catalyst has limited the further development of this method. In this study, mesophase pitch was synthetized using ethylene tar and naphthalene as raw materials and boron trifluoride diethyl etherate as a catalyst. The effect of the catalytic reaction on the structure and properties of the mesophase pitch was investigated. The results show that naphthalene plays an important role in the mesophase content and reaction pressure (from above 6 MPa to 2.35 MPa). Mesophase pitch with fine-flow texture can be prepared by introducing more methylene groups, naphthenic structures, and aliphatic hydrocarbons during synthesis. Carbon fibers prepared from mesophase pitch show a split structure, and the thermal conductivity is 730 W/(m·K). This work provides theoretical support for lower toxicity and causticity and for reaction-controlled technology for the synthesis of high-purity mesophase pitch. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Amino acids, particularly the ones that cannot be synthesised during fermentation, are reportedly to be key nutrients for anaerobic fermentation processes, and some of the acids are also intermediate products of anaerobic fermentation of protein-rich waste. To date, particularly, there is a lack of research on the effects of some amino acids, such as cysteine, glycine, aspartic acid, and valine, on lactic production from the fermentation of food waste and also the mechanisms involved in the process. Thus, this study investigated the effects of the four different amino acids on lactic acid production during the acidic anaerobic fermentation of food waste. Firstly, batch experiments on synthetic food waste at different pHs (4.0, 5.0, and 6.0) were executed. The results harvested in this study showed that higher LA concentrations and yields could be obtained at pH 5.0 and pH 6.0, compared with those at pH 4.0. The yield of lactic acid was slightly lower at pH 5.0 than at pH 6.0. Furthermore, caustic consumption at pH 5.0 was much lower. Therefore, we conducted batch experiments with additions of different amino acids (cysteine, glycine, aspartic acid, and valine) under pH 5.0. The additions of the four different amino acids showed different or even opposite influences on LA production. Glycine and aspartic acids presented no noticeable effects on lactic acid production, but cysteine evidently enhanced the lactic acid yield of food waste by 13%. Cysteine addition increased α-glucosidase activity and hydrolysis rate and simultaneously enhanced the abundance of Lactobacillus at the acidification stage as well as lactate dehydrogenase, which also all favoured lactic acid production. However, the addition of valine evidently reduced lactic acid yield by 18%, and the results implied that valine seemingly inhibited the conversion of carbohydrate. In addition, the low abundance of Lactobacillus was observed in the tests with valine, which appeared to be detrimental to lactic acid production. Overall, this study provides a novel insight into the regulation of lactic acid production from anaerobic fermentation of food waste by adding amino acids under acidic fermentation conditions. From 17 to 22 July 2021, the "21·7" extreme rainfall event ("21·7" ERE) hit Henan Province, breaking the record for mainland China with a maximum hourly rainfall of 201.9 mm at the Zhengzhou station. The long-lived (20 h) mesoscale Huang-Huai vortex (HHV) was an important system that directly affected the major rainfall stage, including the extreme hourly rainfall. This study investigates the formation and development mechanism of the HHV, as well as its association with the simulation of extreme hourly rainfall through numerical simulations. The simulated rainfall and radar composite reflectivity were in good agreement with the observations, thus effectively reproducing the generation and developmental process of the HHV. The analysis results showed that the HHV initially formed at 850 hPa on 19 July at 1800 UTC and eventually developed to 550 hPa. The positive feedback formed by the horizontal convergence and vertical vorticity transport was the main mechanism leading to the generation and deepening of the HHV. The stretching effect (STR) term played an absolutely dominant role in the increase in the vorticity tendency, and it primarily originated from the coupling effect of boundary layer jets (BLJs) and synoptic-weather-system-related low-level jets (SLLJs). The accurate simulation of the HHV allowed the early rainfall to reasonably reproduce the surface cold pool near the Zhengzhou station, and then the cooperation of the SLLJs, the BLJs, and the cold pool made the simulated extreme hourly rainfall exactly close to the Zhengzhou station, but with a weaker intensity, due to the fact that the HHV moved northeastward after its formation, resulting in a narrow range of southerly flow in southern Henan, which is not conducive to convective triggering in the southerly flow. To confirm whether Chinese mitten crabs (Eriocheir sinensis), commonly known as hairy crabs or river crabs, in non-Yangcheng Lake areas undergo morphological convergence with the original crabs in the Yangcheng Lake purse seine and high-standard modified aquaculture ponds after being "introduced" or "bathed"-cultured, we employed a geometric morphometrics approach. This approach allowed us to compare and analyze the dynamic changes in the carapace morphology of both the original and "introduced" crabs in Yangcheng Lake and high-standard ponds in Kunshan City at 0, 7, 14, and 30 days after "bathing" culture. The geometric morphological analysis of the carapace was conducted using a system of 35 established landmarks. The stepwise discriminant analysis of the relative distortion score revealed morphological differences between "introduced" and resident original crabs in the Yangcheng Lake area and in high-standard modified ponds after 7, 14, and 30 days of bathing culture. The accuracy of the discriminant analysis was 100%. The results of the geometric morphological visualization demonstrated that the carapaces of the bathed crabs underwent adaptive changes in the water. However, even after one month of bathing culture, the "introduced" crabs in lakes and ponds could not reach the morphological characteristics of the original crabs, i.e., their carapaces did not exhibit the characteristics of the original crabs. Extensive research has focused on enhancing the energy storage density of polypropylene (PP) to meet the demands of high-power and compact electronic devices and electrical systems. However, there is a lack of studies addressing the delicate balance between energy storage density and dielectric loss. Dielectric loss can lead to excessive heat generation, posing a threat to the operation of energy storage capacitors. In this study, PP grafted with glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) was used as a compatibilizer and incorporated into a PP/nano ZrO2 blend to form a ternary system of PP/nano ZrO2/PP grafted GMA. A comparative study was conducted to analyze the effects of GMA grafting and individual doping of nano ZrO2 on the dielectric performance of PP. The results demonstrate that the ternary system not only ensures a high breakdown voltage (382.29 MV/m) but also possesses a high dielectric constant (2.67), thereby achieving an energy storage density of 1.7275 J/cm3 while maintaining low dielectric loss. Furthermore, grafting GMA introduces a significant number of deep traps, a phenomenon substantiated by the results of thermal stimulated depolarization current tests and molecular simulation calculations. However, the ternary system partially avoids the introduction of excessive deep traps associated with GMA grafting. This ternary system exhibits excellent energy storage performance, ease of fabrication, and stability, thereby enriching the research on polymer-based high-energy density dielectric materials. Aiming at the current limitations of the dual-population genetic algorithm, an improved dual-population genetic algorithm (IDPGA) for solving multi-constrained optimization problems is proposed by introducing a series of strategies, such as remaining elite individuals, a dynamic immigration operator, separating the objective and constraints, normalized constraints, etc. We selected 14 standard mathematical benchmarks to check the performance of IDPGA, and the results were compared with the theoretical value of CEC 2006. The results show that IDPGA with the current parameters obtains good solutions for most problems. Then 6 well-known engineering optimization problems were solved and compared with other algorithms. The results show that all of the solutions are feasible, the solution precision of IDPGA is better than other algorithms, and IDPGA performs with good efficiency and robustness. Meanwhile, no parameters need to be ignored when IDPGA is applied to solving engineering problems, which is enough to prove that IDPGA is suitable for solving engineering optimization. A Friedman test showed no significant difference between IDPGA and six algorithms, but significant differences between IDPGA and seven other algorithms; thus, a larger number of evaluators will be needed in the future. Rapeseed is a significant oil crop, and the size and length of its pods affect its productivity. However, manually counting the number of rapeseed pods and measuring the length, width, and area of the pod takes time and effort, especially when there are hundreds of rapeseed resources to be assessed. This work created two state-of-the-art deep learning-based methods to identify rapeseed pods and related pod attributes, which are then implemented in rapeseed pots to improve the accuracy of the rapeseed yield estimate. One of these methods is YOLO v8, and the other is the two-stage model Mask R-CNN based on the framework Detectron2. The YOLO v8n model and the Mask R-CNN model with a Resnet101 backbone in Detectron2 both achieve precision rates exceeding 90%. The recognition results demonstrated that both models perform well when graphic images of rapeseed pods are segmented. In light of this, we developed a coin-based approach for estimating the size of rapeseed pods and tested it on a test dataset made up of nine different species of Brassica napus and one of Brassica campestris L. The correlation coefficients between manual measurement and machine vision measurement of length and width were calculated using statistical methods. The length regression coefficient of both methods was 0.991, and the width regression coefficient was 0.989. In conclusion, for the first time, we utilized deep learning techniques to identify the characteristics of rapeseed pods while concurrently establishing a dataset for rapeseed pods. Our suggested approaches were successful in segmenting and counting rapeseed pods precisely. Our approach offers breeders an effective strategy for digitally analyzing phenotypes and automating the identification and screening process, not only in rapeseed germplasm resources but also in leguminous plants, like soybeans that possess pods. For the purpose of determining the interaction parameters between Mn and Al, and the influence of Mn on Al2O3 inclusions formation in the Fe-Mn-Al-O melts with high Mn and Al contents, three groups of Fe-Mn-Al-O melts with the initial Al content of 3, 5, and 7 mass% and different Mn contents were equilibrated with pure solid Al2O3 in an Al2O3 crucible at 1873 K and Ar-H2 atmosphere. Then, the interaction parameters between Mn and Al were deduced using the WIPF (Wagner's Interaction Parameter Formalism) and the R-K polynomial (Redlich-Kister type polynomial), respectively. From the WIPF, the first- and second-order interaction parameters, e Al Mn and r Al Mn , were determined to be 0.0292 and −0.00016, respectively. From the R-K polynomial, the binary interaction parameters, Ω Mn - Al 0 and Ω Mn - Al 1 , were determined to be 73,439 J/mol and −34,919 J/mol, respectively. The applicability of the WIPF to high Mn and Al content Fe-Mn-Al-O melts was investigated by comparing the Al activity calculated by the WIPF and the R-K polynomial using the obtained data. The results showed that WIPF can be used in high Mn and Al content melts in the current concentration range. Further from the iso-activity contours of Al, the activity of Al increases with increasing Al or Mn content. Finally, the thermodynamic calculations show that the addition of Mn decreases the equilibrium O content at the same Al content, making the formation of Al2O3 inclusions easier. Dopamine was used to modify polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) in order to obtain functional polydopamine (PDA) surface-modified PTFE microporous film (PTFE@PDA). Ag was deposited on the surface of PTFE@PDA using electroless plating in order to obtain Ag-wrapped PTFE@PDA film (PTFE@Ag). A liquid-phase chemical reduction method was employed to prepare nickel nanochains. A Ni@PVDF cast film was obtained by mechanically blended nickel nanochains and polyimide (PVDF). The above two films were hot pressed to give a flexible, ultra-thin, and highly effective electromagnetic shielding composite film with a "3+2" layered structure. IR, XRD, and TEM results showed the PTFE@PDA film surface was coated by a tight plating layer of Ag particles with a particle size of 100~200 nm. PTFE@Ag+Ni@PVDF composite film exhibited excellent electromagnetic shielding effectiveness, with the conductivity of 7507.5 S/cm and the shielding effectiveness of 69.03 dB in the X-band range. After a 2000-cycle bending, this value still remained at 51.90 dB. Furthermore, the composite film presented excellent tensile strength of 62.1 MPa. Copper (Cu) contamination has become a severe problem in freshwater environments worldwide. The freshwater mussel Anodonta woodiana is used as a unique bioindicator to monitor Cu contamination in freshwater environments. However, Cu toxicity and response mechanisms in A. woodiana are still largely unknown. A sublethal acute exposure experiment (2.0 mg/L Cu exposure for 72 h) was conducted to investigate the effects of Cu bioaccumulation on ionoregulatory homeostasis, histological features, and transcriptome responses using A. woodiana gills as indicator tissue. The gill bioaccumulation capacity was up to 474. Cu bioaccumulation decreased Na+ and Mg2+ concentrations (p < 0.05) by 82% and 17%, respectively, and induced cilia loss, epithelial desquamation, and filament atrophy of the gills. Transcriptome analysis identified 3160 differentially expressed genes (DEGs), including 1870 upregulated and 1290 downregulated genes. GO enrichment analysis showed that cellular processes, metabolic processes, biological regulation, and responses to stimuli contained the most DEGs in the biological processes. KEGG pathway analysis showed that apoptosis, arginine and proline metabolism, the toll-like receptor signaling pathway, apoptosis-multiple species, histidine metabolism, beta-alanine metabolism, cytokine–cytokine receptor interaction, and the p53 signaling pathway were significantly enriched. Interlayer soil is common in southern Xinjiang, because interlayer can reduce the infiltration rate of soil water. To simulate the interlayer soil in heavy saline–alkali cotton fields, this paper adopted a vertical one-dimensional infiltration test. T1 (315 mm), T2 (270 mm), and T3 (225 mm) and different interlayer positions (T5, 315 mm) and thicknesses of the interlayer (T6, 315 mm) with the same irrigation volume, as well as one perforation and sand filling treatment (T4, 315 mm), were set. The influence of different irrigation amounts, locations, and thicknesses of the interlayer and sand injection on water infiltration was analyzed. The analysis results showed that with the increase in irrigation amount, the water infiltration rate and the migration distance of the wet front increased, but did not penetrate to the bottom soil (90 cm). Under the same irrigation volume, the increase in interlayer thickness (T6) compared with the increase in interlayer position (T5), the change in soil moisture content in the upper and lower layers of the interlayer was greater, and the advance time of wetting front migration and cumulative infiltration were slightly higher. After tunneling and sand filling (T4), the infiltration rate of water was increased, the migration time of the wet front was reduced, and the profile water content of each soil layer was improved. The Kostiakov model could better simulate the water infiltration characteristics of interlayer soil with different profile configurations in heavily saline–alkali land. The results showed that in all of the treatments, only the wet front of the soil moisture reached 100 cm in the T4 treatment, and the maximum was only 87.8 cm in the other treatments, indicating that too little irrigation water or the upward movement and thickening of the interlayer were not conducive to water infiltration. For the interlayer soil area in the heavy saline–alkali land in southern Xinjiang, the appropriate irrigation water should be more than 315 mm. The treatment of drilling first and then filling sand can be used as a simple but effective measure to increase the water infiltration rate of the interlayer soil, and can thus be applied to the layered soil structure in the interlayer position of 60–80 cm. Many bridges suffer from aging and deterioration problems and need to be strengthened. PSWR-PUC is an emerging structural strengthening technology that enhances the load-bearing capacity of concrete bridges by embedding prestressed steel wire ropes into polyurethane cement. This paper focuses on investigating the shear reinforcement effectiveness of PSWR-PUC. Firstly, the composition of PSWR-PUC is introduced. Subsequently, two T-beam bridges in similar service condition are selected, and shear strengthening schemes involving PSWR-PUC and externally bonded steel plates are devised. Lastly, static loading tests are conducted, and the deflection and strain data of the two bridges before and after reinforcement intervention are analyzed. The results indicate that both strengthening methods improve the bridge load-carrying capacity. However, compared to the bridge strengthened with the externally bonded steel plate method, the deflections in the bridge strengthened with PSWR-PUC decreased by 36.8% and 42.1%, the strains decreased by 18% and 23%, and the shear stiffness was improved to a greater extent. These results verified that the PSWR-PUC strengthening method is effective for improving structural capacity and performance. This study will contribute to an in-depth understanding of the performance characteristics and application scope of PSWR-PUC shear strengthening technology, and it provides a scientific basis and guidance for practical engineering applications. Straw biochar prepared by three methods (i.e., pyrochar, HNO3-modified pyrochar, and hydrochar) was added to the anaerobic digestion system with acetic acid and ethanol as substrates to explore the effects of biochar on methane production, substrate degradation, and microbial community structure. The biogas yields of the biochar-supplemented groups all increased, and the maximum methane yield was found in the hydrochar group, which was 45.4% higher than the control. In the ethanol-fed reactor, the maximum partial pressure of hydrogen in the headspace of the hydrochar reactor was reduced from 3.5% (blank reactor) to 1.9%. Overall, methane production is directly proportional to the electron exchange capacity (EEC) value of biochar. Furthermore, the bio-aging process increased the EEC of each kind of biochar to 5.5–8.1%, which was favorable for the sustainable promotion of methanogenesis. The increased methane yield from the bio-aged biochar could either be attributable to the changes in surface oxygen-containing functional groups or the selectively enriched microbial community on the biochar, such as Geobacter, which could participate in direct interspecies electron transfer. Optimal winter irrigation may be an alternative method for controlling soil salinization under seasonal freezing and thawing conditions in the Yellow River Delta. However, few studies have focused on optimal winter irrigation based on the dynamics of soil water, heat, and salt during the freezing–thawing period in this region. Taking the seedling stage of winter wheat in the Yellow River Delta as the research object and using observation data of hydrothermal salt from the Shandong agricultural high-tech demonstration base from 17 October 2019 to 15 June 2021, a numerical simulation of the hydrothermal coupling process of freeze–thaw soil in the experimental area was carried out through the Simultaneous Heat and Water Model (SHAW). The simulation results of the model were evaluated according to the mean error (ME), root mean square error (RMSE), and Nash efficiency coefficient (NSE). The results showed that the SHAW can well simulate the soil moisture (SM), soil temperature, and soil salt during the growth of winter wheat in this region: the SM at the depth of 0–80 cm with an ME < 0.038 cm3 cm−3, RMSE < 0.064 cm3 cm−3, and NSE > 0.669; the soil temperature with an ME < 1.311 °C, RMSE < 1.493 °C, and NSE > 0.738; and the soil salinity with an ME < 0.005 g kg−1, RMSE < 0.014 g kg−1, and NSE > 0.607. Moreover, the model was used to simulate the distribution of soil water and salt in the winter wheat seedling stage under different winter irrigation methods during wet, normal, and dry years. It was suggested that the appropriate winter irrigation amount was 80 mm in wet years and normal years and 100 mm in dry years, which could be beneficial to winter wheat growth during the seedling stage. Irrigation with saline water is a possible solution to alleviate freshwater shortages. The long-term use of saline water for irrigation requires consideration of the influence of salt on the environmental conditions of the soil. The objective of this field study was to determine the effects of three continuous years of saline water irrigation on physiochemical properties and microbial communities in drip-irrigated cotton fields. The three total dissolved solid (TDS) levels of irrigation water treatments were (i) 1 g L−1 (fresh water, FWI), (ii) 3 g L−1 (brackish water, BWI), and (iii) 7 g L−1 (salt water, SWI). After three years, the electrical conductivity (EC), sodium adsorption ratio (SAR), and contents of K+, Na+, Mg2+, Cl−, and SO42− in the SWI treatment were significantly higher than those in the FWI and BWI treatments, but there were no significant differences in EC and K+ between the FWI and BWI treatments. BWI treatment significantly increased microbial biomass carbon (MBC), microbial biomass nitrogen (MBN), urease, and sucrase contents. The diversity and abundance of bacteria and fungi were not affected by saline water irrigation, but the microbial community structure was altered. Saline water irrigation resulted in an elevation in the bacterial abundance of the phylum Chloroflexi and a decline in Proteobacteria and Actinobacteria. For fungi, the abundance of the phylum Ascomycota in the BWI treatment was greater than that in the FWI and SWI treatments. Linear discriminant analysis effect size (NMDS) results indicated clear variation in the microbiota profiles between the FWI, BWI, and SWI treatments for bacteria. Regarding the fungal microbiota profiles, the BWI and SWI treatments had similar microbiota profiles but were different from the FWI treatment. The number of bacterial biomarkers gradually increased with increasing total dissolved solids of irrigation water, while the number of fungal biomarkers gradually decreased. Additionally, cotton yield was significantly and positively correlated with the observed species of fungi, while it was significantly and negatively correlated with EC. Redundancy analysis (RDA) showed that bacterial community structure was regulated by SAR and fungal community structure was regulated by soil salinity and bulk density (BD). Future research will need to look into how the structure of the microbial community and the associated functional microorganisms are gradually changing with increased irrigation frequency under saline irrigation, as well as explore and screen for advantageous functional microorganisms. Reasonable regulation of nonmetallic inclusions in steel can significantly improve its strength, toughness, and corrosion resistance. In this paper, EH420 marine steel was treated with Mg, Ce, and Mg-Ce to modify the inclusions. The effects of different treatments on the morphology, composition, size distribution, induced intragranular ferrite (IGF) nucleation, and pitting resistance of inclusions were systematically analyzed using various methods. The results show that the Mg-Ce composite treatment can modify irregular MgAl2O4 inclusions into spherical Mg-Ce-O composite inclusions and MgO-dominated inclusions. The density of inclusions is increased from 74.8/mm2 to 186.0/mm2, and the average size of inclusions is decreased from 2.60 μm to 1.07 μm. The Mg-Ce-O composite inclusions are effective inclusions for inducing IGF. Furthermore, the pitting potential is increased from −503 mV to −487 mV, and the corrosion rate is decreased. The order of average electronic work function is ΦMgO < ΦCe2O3 < Φα-Fe < ΦAl2O3. Ce2O3 is hard to induce pitting corrosion due to its similar electronic work function to the steel matrix. Many manual calculations and repeated modeling are required during the traditional structural design process. However, due to the high cost, rural buildings in China cannot be professionally designed and verified by designers as urban buildings, and their safety and economy cannot easily meet the requirements. Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology and intelligent optimization algorithms can effectively improve the structural design process and reduce design costs, but their applications in the field of rural residential buildings in China are limited. Therefore, this paper presents an innovative framework that realizes the structural design of rural light steel frame structures on the BIMBase platform (widely used BIM software in China, BIMBase 2023R1.3). Based on the parametric library of structural components built on standardized component coding, the framework completes the rapid modeling of rural light steel frame structures and the interaction between the BIMBase platform and structural analysis software, SATWE. The improved two-stage simulated annealing (SA) algorithm is applied to the structural design of rural buildings to obtain a design scheme that meets the design requirements and reduces the material consumption as much as possible. Two prefabricated rural light steel frame structures were analyzed to evaluate the efficiency of the proposed framework. The results show the feasibility of the proposed framework. Compared with traditional manual design methods, the design period can be reduced by six times while maintaining comparable levels of material consumption and structural design indicators. In the present study, a novel strategy for the effective production of hydrolase via fermentation of food waste was developed to improve methane production from anaerobic digestion of waste activated sludge (WAS). Via the pre-fermentation of food waste, hydrolase could be efficiently enriched and then directly used to enhance sludge hydrolysis with no need for extraction and purification of the enzymes. The results of this study indicate that the activities of the predominant hydrolase, mainly including protease and amylase enriched in the pre-fermented food waste, could reach 4861.10 U/g and 3909.14 mg/(mL·min), respectively. The elevated activities of hydrolases evidently enhanced sludge hydrolysis by more than 50% with the addition of 15 g fermented food waste per 200 g sludge. The released organic matter presented much better biodegradability, of which the BOD5/COD (B/C) increased from 0.33 of the raw WAS to 0.41 of the pretreated sludge. Moreover, methane production from sludge digestion was substantially improved and increased from 2140 mL to 7187 mL by adding 30 g fermented food waste into 200 g sludge, about 24.3% of which was contributed by the addition of the enriched hydrolase. The preliminary economic assessments of this present study indicate the net profit of sludge digestion of 7.99 USD/m3 sludge is likely to be harvested via applying this strategy. Concrete-cored deep cement mixing (DCM) pile is a novel type of pile foundation, and its lateral dynamic response analysis has great practical significance. Based on the elastic dynamic theory, this study investigated the lateral dynamic response of a concrete-cored DCM pile in the single-phase viscoelastic soil using theoretical deduction and parametric analysis. Considering the special structure of the concrete-cored DCM pile, the lateral vibration equation of the concrete-cored DCM pile is first established with mechanical equilibrium, and then the dynamic behavior of the soil around the pile is described using the existing governing equations of single-phase soils. Subsequently, the solutions for the dynamic impedances at the pile top are deduced after a series of rigorous theoretical derivations. Finally, the influence of the pile and soil parameters on the dynamic impedances at the pile top is studied using calculation examples and parameter analysis. The results reveal that the radius of the concrete-cored DCM pile obviously affects the dynamic impedances at the pile top. Enhancing the elastic modulus of the concrete-cored DCM pile is beneficial for augmenting the dynamic impedances at the pile top. Pertussis (whooping cough) is a respiratory disease caused primarily by Bordetella pertussis, a Gram-negative bacteria. Pertussis is a relatively contagious infectious disease in people of all ages, mainly affecting newborns and infants under 2 months of age. Pertussis is undergoing a resurgence despite decades of high rates of vaccination. To better cope with the challenge of pertussis resurgence, we evaluated its possible causes and potential countermeasures in the narrative review. Assembled T-shaped aluminum alloy components represent a new type of structural member in aluminum alloy structures with broad application prospects. In this study, axial compression tests were carried out on 32 aluminum alloy components, considering parameters such as the cross-sectional type and slenderness ratio of the components, to obtain the ultimate bearing capacity and failure mode of the members. The test results show that, for the equilateral assembled T-shaped aluminum alloy components with obvious strong and weak axes, bending instability was most common, and local buckling of the plate occurred when the slenderness ratio of the component was relatively small. For the unequal T-shaped aluminum alloy structures without an obvious strong or weak axis, torsional buckling instability occurred, accompanied by local deformation of the connecting limbs due to mutual compression. A verified finite element model was also established. Based on this model, a parametric analysis was conducted to study the influence of parameters such as initial defects, slenderness ratio, and cross-sectional type on the axial compressive bearing capacity of the assembled T-shaped aluminum alloy components. The experimental and numerical results were then compared with Chinese and European standards, revealing that the standard calculation methods tend to be unsafe. A limited feasible region restricts individuals from evolving optionally and makes it more difficult to solve constrained optimization problems. In order to overcome difficulties such as introducing initial feasible solutions, a novel algorithm called the successive approximation genetic algorithm (SAGA) is proposed; (a) the simple genetic algorithm (SGA) is the main frame; (b) a self-adaptive penalty function is considered and the penalty factor is adjusted automatically by the proportion of feasible and infeasible solutions; (c) a generation-by-generation approach and a three-stages evolution are introduced; and (d) dynamically enlarging and reducing the tolerance error of the constraint violation makes it much easier to generate initial feasible solutions. Then, ten benchmarks and an engineering problem were adopted to evaluate the SAGA in detail. It was compared with the improved dual-population genetic algorithm (IDPGA) and eight other algorithms, and the results show that SAGA finds the optimum in 5 s for an equality constraint and 1 s for an inequality constraint. The largest constraint violation can be accurate to at least three decimal fractions for most problems. SAGA obtains a better value, of 1.3398, than the eight other algorithms for the engineering problem. In conclusion, SAGA is very suitable for solving nonlinear optimization problems with a single constraint, accompanied by more accurate solutions, but it takes a longer time. In reality, SAGA searched for a better solution along the bound after several iterations and converged to an acceptable solution in early evolution. In recent years, Chinese offshore wind farms have experienced varying degrees of foundation scour since their completion. The maximum scour depth of pile foundations has far exceeded the design scour depth, which seriously threatens the safety of wind turbines. Among the current scour depth prediction formulas, the values calculated by the Chinese specification 65-1, 65-2 formula are small and the prediction results are on the dangerous side. The calculated value of the American Hec-18 formula is safe but conservative. The prediction formula of other specifications has a large deviation from the actual situation. Based on the available test data, the main factors influencing the local scour depth of pile foundations, the gauge analysis method, and the group method of data handling (GMDH), this paper proposes a prediction formula for the local scour depth of monopile foundation under the action of wave–current. In addition, monopile scour flume experiments were conducted. Combining the experimental data of the flume test and the scour monitoring data of the Rudong wind farm in Jiangsu, the calculated values of the depth prediction equation in this paper and the Chinese code equation, DNV code equation, HEC-18 equation, Rudolph equation, and Raaijmakers equation were compared and analyzed. The results show that the relative error, mean relative error, variance, and normalized variance between the predicted and measured values of this paper's formula are smaller than those of other prediction formulas. The product line approach enables the rapid building of software products by reusing core assets. How to manage the commonality and variability of product family is the core problem of product line engineering. The feature modeling approach is one of the main approaches to solve this problem. However, this approach does not define the internal functions of features. Some researchers use formal descriptions to define the function of features, but they do not consider the connection between feature specification and feature model. These product family modeling approaches result in product family models that suffer from inconsistent descriptions, which are difficult to resolve manually. To this end, this paper proposes a computer-aided approach to construct an internally consistent product family model. The method performs an inconsistency check during the formalization of each feature in the given initial feature model, pushing the evolution of the feature model and feature specification. The creation and evolution of feature models are achieved through a template-based feature modeling approach. The method is implemented by means of templates, each of which contains two parts of knowledge: the elements required for a class of feature model, and a way to convert the given elements into a formal description. An inconsistency check is achieved through a rule-based detection approach. Each rule contains two parts: a class of conditions that the feature model and the feature specification satisfy, and the actions to resolve inconsistencies once the conditions are satisfied. We have developed a tool. The tool guides the user to build an internally consistent product family model that contains the feature model and feature specifications. Mitochondrial-derived peptides are a family of peptides encoded by short open reading frames in the mitochondrial genome, which have regulatory effects on mitochondrial functions, gene expression, and metabolic homeostasis of the body. As a new member of the mitochondrial-derived peptide family, mitochondrial open reading frame of the 12S rRNA-c (MOTS-c) is regarding a peptide hormone that could reduce insulin resistance, prevent obesity, improve muscle function, promote bone metabolism, enhance immune regulation, and postpone aging. MOTS-c plays these physiological functions mainly through activating the AICAR-AMPK signaling pathways by disrupting the folate-methionine cycle in cells. Recent studies have shown that the above hormonal effect can be achieved through MOTS-c regulating the expression of genes such as GLUT4, STAT3, and IL-10. However, there is a lack of articles summarizing the genes and pathways involved in the physiological activity of MOTS-c. This article aims to summarize and interpret the interesting and updated findings of MOTS-c-associated genes and pathways involved in pathological metabolic processes. The development of tailings in concrete technology is not only conducive to the realization of the goal of reducing carbon emissions, but also conducive to the inhibition the occurrence of shortages of sand and gravel supplies. In this study, graphite tailings were used to replace sand in the range of 0~100%, and the mechanical mechanism of graphite tailings concrete was examined through compressive and flexural tests. The mechanical experimental results were evaluated and verified based on concrete macroscopic failure appearance, mesoscopic failure appearance, and physical characteristics of graphite tailings. The results revealed that the concrete strength increases first and then decreases with the increase of the graphite tailings content. Compared to GT00 (GT00 is a specimen with a graphite tailings content of 0%, and so on), GT10~GT60 exhibited better mechanical properties, of which 30% was recommended as the optimal replacement rate. The mechanical properties of GT10 and GT20 had an upward trend, and GT30 had low spalling, with aggregate fragmentation found on the fracture surface. GT30 showed the best resistance to bending and deformation. The mechanical properties of GT40~GT60 had a downward trend. When the graphite tailings content was higher than 70%, the interface defects of the aggregate matrix increased, thus making it easier for cracks to propagate along the interface. Furthermore, the mechanism of graphite tailings replacing sand verified the test results from different perspectives, which provides new analysis ideas for other tailings in environment-friendly concrete. Polyurethane cement composite is a new organic–inorganic composite material with high strength, corrosion resistance, and fast curing. It is a complement and alternative to traditional cement materials. The flexural properties of polyurethane cement composites are the basic mechanical index of the material. In order to study the flexural properties under different temperature loads, a molecular model was established, the chemical reaction process of polyurethane cement and the temperature response mechanism was analyzed, and the preparation process of polyurethane cement was proposed. Then, bending tests were carried out in strain-controlled mode to obtain the specimens' bending strength and stiffness modulus under different temperature loads. The test results showed that the tensile strength of polyurethane cement decreased first, then increased, and finally decreased with the increase in temperature, while the bending stiffness modulus decreased with the increase in temperature. Combined with the theoretical derivation, the damage mode of the samples under different temperature loads was analyzed, and the "L-type" damage strain curve was obtained. The results showed that the proposed theory could effectively explain the mechanism of action and flexural properties of polyurethane cement composites under temperature loading, which is a significant improvement to the application of polyurethane cement composites in practical engineering. The freshwater bivalve Anodonta woodiana is native to China and widely distributed in Asia, Europe, and North America. However, natural populations of A. woodiana in China have dramatically declined recently. Several fish species have been used as potential hosts in breeding programs; nonetheless, the optimal host species is yet to be identified. In this study, we examined the suitability of five potential host fish species (bighead carp, common carp, crucian carp, yellow catfish, and tilapia) for A. woodiana under laboratory conditions. No significant difference was found in the number of glochidia attached to the five fish species; however, tilapia hosted more transformed juveniles than bighead carp, common carp, or yellow catfish (p < 0.05), with bighead carp hosting the least (p < 0.05). Yellow catfish had the highest host capacity index (the number of successfully transformed juveniles/the weight of the host fish × the survival rate of the host fish), 133 times higher than bighead carp and 1.3–2.9 times higher than the other species. The shell length and height of freshly transformed juveniles from yellow catfish were significantly larger than those of other host fish (p < 0.05). The juvenile index (shell length × shell height) of yellow catfish was significantly higher than that of other fish species (p < 0.05). The estuarine tapertail anchovy Coilia nasus is distributed throughout the Dayang River. However, the life history and habitat use of this fish remain unknown. Here, the microchemistry patterns of Sr and Ca in 23 otoliths collected from the lower reaches of the Dayang River were analyzed using an X-ray electron probe microanalyzer. The anchovies were divided into two patterns: (1) with low Sr/Ca ratios (<3.0) and a single bluish Sr concentration map, indicating that it only experienced a freshwater habitat during its whole life, and (2) with Sr/Ca ratios fluctuating between low and high (>3.0) phases and Sr concentration maps showing various colors, including blue, green, yellow, and red, from the core to the edge of otoliths, whose larvae hatched in freshwater and spent their first winter in brackish or sea waters. The juveniles then stayed in estuarine water areas for further growth and feeding until sexual maturity, when the mature adults returned to the spawning grounds in the river. The co-existence of freshwater residents and anadromous C. nasus in the Dayang River has been studied for the first time, and its possible spawning ground was discovered. Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), an infectious disease that has become a serious burden on global public health. This study screened and yielded specific nanobodies (Nbs) against SARS-CoV-2 spike protein receptor binding domain (RBD), following testing its basic characteristics. A nanobody phage library was established by immunizing a camel with RBD protein. After three rounds of panning, the positive colonies were screened by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). By sequencing, four different sequences of nanobody gene fragments were selected. The four nanobody fusion proteins were expressed and purified, respectively. The specificity and affinity of the four nanobodies were identified by ELISA. Our results showed that an immune phage display library against SARS-CoV-2 has been successfully constructed with a library capacity of which was 4.7 × 108 CFU. The four purified nanobodies showed specific high-affinity binding SARS-CoV-2 S-RBD. Among these, the antigen binding affinity of Nb61 was more comparable to that of commercial rabbit anti-SARS-CoV-2 S-RBD antibodies. In sum, our study has obtained four nanobody strains against SARS-CoV-2 S-RBD with significant affinity and specificity, therefore laying an essential foundation for further research as well as the applications of diagnostic and therapeutic tools of SARS-CoV-2. This study collected 1135 topsoil samples of cultivated land in Laiyang County, eastern China, to analyze the distribution, pollution and health risks of heavy metals (As, Cd, Cu, Cr, Hg, Ni, Pb and Zn). The results show that: (1) the levels of eight heavy metals at some sites were higher than the risk screening values in China, and there was heavy metal pollution. (2) An improved geoaccumulation index was used to evaluate soil pollution. The average value of Igeo before and after improvement was 0.32 (Iml, no pollution to medium pollution) and −0.04 (Iol, no pollution), respectively. (3) Hg and Cd were identified as the main contributors to ecological risk in this study, with a cumulative ecological risk contribution percentage > 65%. The results of the potential ecological risk index (PERI) show that 9.3% of the sampling sites were considered to have moderate ecological risk. (4) As, Pb, Ni and Cu made a contribution of >95% in terms of non-carcinogenic risk to adults and children through different exposure routes, and different soil intake routes posed no non-carcinogenic risk to adults; there was a sampling site with HQChildren > 1, which was consistent with the non-carcinogenic risk site, indicating that children in this location and surrounding areas are more likely to face dual health risks. The estuarine tapertail anchovy, Coilia nasus, is a migratory fish with high economic value in China. We collected fish from the Changjiang River (the Yangtze River) estuary, the Qiantang River estuary, and the southern Yellow Sea, and studied their relationships using otolith elemental and stable isotopic microchemistry signatures to assess the population connectivity of C. nasus. Results show that, in addition to Ca, other elements were present in the otolith core. The δ18O, Na/Ca, Fe/Ca, and Cu/Ca values of the Qiantang population were significantly higher than those of the others, whereas its δ13C and Ba/Ca values were found to be significantly lower. Otolith multi-element composition and stable isotope ratios differed significantly between the Qiantang and Changjiang estuary groups (p < 0.05); however, no difference was observed between the latter and the Yellow Sea group. Cluster analysis, linear discriminant analysis, and a self-organizing map strongly suggest possible connectivity between the fish populations of the Changjiang estuary and Yellow Sea, while the population of the Qiantang River estuary appears to be independent. With the rapid depletion of mineral resources, deep prospecting is becoming a frontier field in international geological exploration. The prediction of deep mineral resources is the premise and foundation of deep prospecting. However, conventional metallogenic predictive methods, which are mainly based on surface geophysical, geochemical, and remote sensing data and geological information, are no longer suitable for deep metallogenic prediction due to the large burial depth of deep-seated deposits. Consequently, 3D metallogenic prediction becomes a critical method for delineating deep prospecting target areas. As a world-class giant gold metallogenic province, the Jiaodong Peninsula is at the forefront in China in terms of deep prospecting achievements and exploration depth. Therefore, it has unique conditions for 3D metallogenic prediction and plays an important exemplary role in promoting the development of global deep prospecting. This study briefly introduced the method, bases, and results of the 3D metallogenic prediction in the northwest Jiaodong Peninsula and then established 3D geological models of gold concentration areas in the northwest Jiaodong Peninsula using drilling combined with geophysics. Since gold deposits in the northwest Jiaodong Peninsula are often controlled by faulting in the 3D space, this study proposed a method for predicting deep prospecting target areas based on a stepped metallogenic model and a method for predicting the deep resource potential of gold deposits based on the shallow resources of ore-controlling faults. Multiple characteristic variables were extracted from the 3D geological models of the gold concentration areas, including the buffer zone and dip angle of faults, the changing rate of fault dip angle, and the equidistant distribution of orebodies. Using these characteristic variables, five deep prospecting target areas in the Jiaojia and Sanshandao faults were predicted. Moreover, based on the proven gold resources at an elevation of −2000 m and above, the total gold resources of the Sanshandao, Jiaojia, and Zhaoping ore-controlling faults at an elevation of −5000–−2000 m were predicted to be approximately 3377–6490 t of Au. Therefore, it is believed that the total gold resources in the Jiaodong Peninsula are expected to exceed 10,000 t. These new predicted results suggest that the northwest Jiaodong Peninsula has huge potential for the resources of deep gold deposits, laying the foundation for further deep prospecting. While the performance of edge devices has been dramatically improved, the demand for signal processing in the edge side has also ushered in explosive growth. However, the deployment of traditional serial or parallel signal processing architectures on edge devices has problems such as poor flexibility, low efficiency, and low resource utilization, making edge devices unable to exert their maximum performance. Therefore, this paper proposes a resource-saving customizable pipeline network architecture with a space-optimized resource allocation method and a coordinate addressing method for irregular topology. This architecture significantly improves the flexibility of multi-signal processing in edge devices, improves resource utilization, and further increases the performance potential of edge devices. Finally, we designed a comparative experiment to prove that the resource-saving and customizable pipeline network architecture can significantly reduce resource consumption under the premise of meeting real-time processing requirements. The flow-independent viscosity of the soil skeleton has significant influence on the elastic wave propagation in soils. This work studied the bulk and Rayleigh waves propagation in three-phase viscoelastic soil by considering the contribution of the flow-independent viscosity from the soil skeleton. Firstly, the viscoelastic dynamic equations of three-phase unsaturated soil are developed with theoretical derivation. Secondly, the explicit characteristic equations of bulk and Rayleigh waves in three-phase viscoelastic soil are yielded theoretically by implementing Helmholtz resolution for the displacement vectors. Finally, the variations of the motion behavior for bulk and Rayleigh waves with physical parameters such as relaxation time, saturation, frequency, and intrinsic permeability are discussed by utilizing calculation examples and parametric analysis. The results reveal that the influence of soil flow-independent viscosity on the wave speed and attenuation coefficient of bulk and Rayleigh waves is significantly related to physical parameters such as saturation, intrinsic permeability, and frequency. This paper investigates the Chinese rural household food waste issue from the unique perspective of religious beliefs based on 1380 samples in 26 provinces in mainland China. By using the count regression approach model, it is found that about 2.30% of the home meal is wasted on average for Chinese rural households. The empirical results reveal that religion has a significantly negative impact on residents' food wastage, and religious rural households waste less food than their counterparts. Taking into account the possible omission of variables and selection bias, the above conclusion is still valid. Additionally, male household heads, small household size, young families, bad food storage conditions, and the poorer convenience of buying foods are positively related to the higher food waste rate in rural China. Thus, the study provides evidence that religiosity plays a positive role in reducing food waste in rural China. As most of the world's population is religious to some extent, the finding may also apply to other countries or regions, and it implies that religion and sustainable food consumption are closely related. The continuous basalt fiber-reinforced polymer column filled with concrete (BFRPC composite column) can well resist the erosion of the external environment, improve the durability of the structure, and reduce the life-cycle cost of the project. To evaluate the mechanical behaviors of the BFRPC composite column under cyclic lateral loading, laboratory low-cycle reverse loading tests were implemented on a BFRPC composite column specimen, a prestressed reinforced concrete (PRC) tube column specimen, and a prestressed high-strength concrete (PHC) tube column specimen. The failure features, hysteretic curve, and skeleton curve for these three types of column specimens were compared and analyzed through the load–displacement hysteretic curve. The results indicated that the BFRPC composite column possesses the better bearing capacity and deformation performance. The horizontal bearing capacity of the BFRPC composite column is at least three times better than that of PHC and PRC tube columns. The cyclic performance of structural steels after exposure to various elevated temperatures and cooling-down methods was experimentally investigated in this paper. Four types of frequently used structural steels were tested including Chinese mild steel Grade Q235, Chinese high-strength steel Grade Q345, and Chinese stainless steel Grade S304 and S316. A total of eighty specimens were prepared using three different heating–cooling processes before being subjected to cyclic loads. The post-fire basic features and hysteretic performances of the four types of structural steels exposed to various target temperatures (100–1000 °C), heat soak times (30 min or 180 min) and cooling-down methods (natural air or water) were recorded and discussed. The results show that all the tested structural steels prepared using different heating–cooling treatments exhibited proper ductility and energy dissipation capacity, while the heat soak times and cooling-down methods had a definite effect on their energy dissipation capacity; no Masing phenomenon was found in the tested structural steels. Finally, a set of skeleton curves were proposed for the four types of structural steels under cyclic loading based on the Ramberg–Osgood model, which could serve as the foundation for the seismic capacity evaluation of steel structures after a fire. To date, scholars' research on the stability behavior of the arch structure mainly focuses on solid–web section arches, steel tubular truss arches and concrete-filled steel tubular arches, but the stability behavior of the novel spatial grid arch structure, which integrates the characteristics of grid structure and arch structure, is not yet clear. Based on the Eye of the Yellow Sea pedestrian bridge project in Rizhao, China, the stability behavior of this large-span spatial grid arch structure was studied, in this paper, by the project's structure design team. The project is a glass covered steel arch pedestrian bridge with a span of 177 m, a height of 63.5 m, an elliptical section with a long axis of 18 m, and a short axis of 13.5 m. The elastic and the nonlinear elasto-plastic stability behavior considering different initial geometric imperfections, was analyzed by the ABAQUS finite element model. The buckling modes and the full-range load-displacement curve of the structure were analyzed, and the stress distribution, deformation mode and overall structural performance during the whole loading process were analyzed. The effects of initial imperfections, geometric nonlinearity and material nonlinearity on the ultimate load-carrying capacity of the structure were studied. The stability behavior of large-span spatial grid arch structure was studied in this paper, which provides an important reference for the design and analysis of such structures. The crude oil in pipelines should remain at high temperature and pressure to satisfy the fluidity requirement of deep-sea oil transportation and consequently lead to the global buckling of pipelines. Uncontrolled global buckling is accompanied by pipeline damage and oil leakage; therefore, active buckling control of pipelines is needed. Pipe-in-pipe (PIP) systems have been widely used in deep-sea oil pipelines because of the protection and insulation characteristics of the outer pipe to the inner pipe. In this study, sleeper-distributed buoyancy is used as an active buckling control method for the global buckling of PIP systems with initial imperfections. The accuracy of this technique is verified by comparing the finite element model of a 3D pipeline with experimental data. The effects of buoyancy density, pipe–soil friction coefficient, initial imperfection, stiffness ratio of inner and outer pipes, and buoyancy unit interval on the global buckling performance are also analyzed. The critical buckling force and lateral displacement of this method are studied using an analytic solution, and the relevant calculation formulas are obtained and verified to provide a basis for its engineering application. Product derivation is the process of building a specific product from a software product line. Effective product derivation can improve software reuse productivity. Existing methods can only obtain abstract feature models, lacking detailed specifications of individual features. They are more about deriving code assets or class diagram templates without precise model descriptions for specific products. This article proposes a product derivation approach to obtain a formal specification of a specific product based on the feature model and formal specification. We use the integration ordering and behavior preserving integration techniques to integrate the formal specification for each feature pair. The method is divided into two steps. First, it determines the feature formal specification integration ordering based on the feature model. Then, the behavior-preserving integration will be conducted for pairs, including declaration integration, functional scenario path generation, and function integration based on path matching. Behavior preserving integration guarantees consistent behavior to ensure the quality of the formal specification after integration. Finally, we developed a support tool to conduct a case study. The tool first guides the user to perform feature functional scenario path matching, then performs functional integration based on the matching results and repeats the above steps to generate a product model. Boron-doped graphite was prepared by the heat treatment of coke using B4C powder as a graphitization catalyst to investigate the effects of the substitutional boron atoms on the interlayer spacing of graphite. Boron atoms can be successfully incorporated into the lattice of graphite by heat treatment, resulting in a reduction in the interlayer spacing of graphite to a value close to that of ideal graphite (0.3354 nm). With an increase in the catalyst mass ratio, the content of substituted boron in the samples increased significantly, causing a decrease in the interlayer spacing of the boron-doped graphite. Density functional theory calculations suggested that the effects of the substitutional boron atoms on the interlayer spacing of the graphite may be attributed to the transfer of Π electrons between layers, the increase in the electrostatic surface potential of the carbon layer due to the electron-deficient nature of boron atoms, and Poisson contraction along the c-axis.
