An optimal spatio-temporal hybrid model (STHM) based on wavelet transform (WT) is proposed to improve the sensitivity and accuracy of detecting slowly evolving faults that occur in the early stage and easily submerge with noise in complex industrial production systems. Specifically, a WT is performed to denoise the original data, thus reducing the influence of background noise. Then, a principal component analysis (PCA) and the sliding window algorithm are used to acquire the nearest neighbors in both spatial and time dimensions. Subsequently, the cumulative sum (CUSUM) and the mahalanobis distance (MD) are used to reconstruct the hybrid statistic with spatial and temporal sequences. It helps to enhance the correlation between high-frequency temporal dynamics and space and improves fault detection precision. Moreover, the kernel density estimation (KDE) method is used to estimate the upper threshold of the hybrid statistic so as to optimize the fault detection process. Finally, simulations are conducted by applying the WT-based optimal STHM in the early fault detection of the Tennessee Eastman (TE) process, with the aim of proving that the fault detection method proposed has a high fault detection rate (FDR) and a low false alarm rate (FAR), and it can improve both production safety and product quality. Infrastructure upgrading has an important impact on environmental protection and low-carbon development. Based on the panel data of 277 prefecture-level cities in China from 2005 to 2021, we examined the impact of infrastructure upgrading on the synergistic effect of pollution reduction and carbon reduction (Pc) by using the multiple-period difference-in-differences method. The results show that infrastructure upgrading can achieve Pc. Additionally, compared with resource-based cities, peripheral cities, and central and western cities, the impact of infrastructure upgrading on Pc is more significant in non-resource-based cities, central cities, and eastern cities. Meanwhile, infrastructure upgrading can promote Pc by promoting scientific and technological talent agglomeration (Tg) and industrial agglomeration (Ig). Finally, the policy of synergy analysis shows that compared with the single pilot cities, the dual pilot cities have a more obvious effect on Pc, and becoming first high-speed rail (HSR) cities and then becoming "Broadband China" strategy (BCS) cities has a stronger effect on Pc. Simple Summary: Inflammation of bovine mammary epithelial cells (BMECs) may occur during mastitis, which affects the nutrient absorption, metabolism, and glucose and amino acid utilization of mammary epithelial cells. However, there are few studies on amino acid uptake under different nutritional conditions. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the effects of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) on nutrient transport and metabolic energy supply under high- and low-glucose conditions by evaluating glucose and amino acid consumption and the expression of related genes, and to examine how different concentrations of glucose affect the proinflammatory response. BMECs were cultured in 6-well culture plates with different concentrations of glucose with or without 4 μg/mL LPS for 6 h, and then the consumption of glucose and amino acids in the supernatant was detected and the relative expression of related mRNA was determined. Glucose and amino acids are important sources of nutrients in the synthetic milk of dairy cows, and understanding the fate of amino acids is essential to optimize the utilization of amino acids in milk protein synthesis, thereby reducing nutrient inefficiencies during lactation. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of LPS and different concentrations of glucose on (1) the expression of inflammatory factors and genes, (2) the glucose metabolism, and (3) amino acid utilization in BMECs. The results showed that there was an interaction (LPS × glucose, p < 0.05) between LPS and glucose content in the inflammatory cytokine genes (IL-6 and TNF-α) and the inflammatory regulatory genes (CXCL2, CXCL8, and CCL5). With the addition of LPS, the HG + LPS group caused downregulated (p < 0.05) expression of IL-6 and TNF-α, compared with the LG + LPS group. Interestingly, compared with the LG + LPS group, the HG + LPS group upregulated (p < 0.05) the expression of CXCL2, CXCL8, and CCL5. LPS supplementation increased (p = 0.056) the consumption of glucose and GLUT1 gene expression (p < 0.05) and tended to increase (p = 0.084) the LDHA gene expression of BMECs under conditions of different concentrations of glucose culture. High glucose content increased (p < 0.001) the consumption of glucose and enhanced (p < 0.05) the GLUT1, HK1, HK2, and LDHA gene expression of BMECs with or without LPS incubation, and there was an interaction (LPS × glucose, p < 0.05) between LPS and glucose concentrations in GLUT1 gene expression. In this study, LPS enhanced (p < 0.05) the consumption of amino acids such as tryptophan, leucine, isoleucine, methionine, valine, histidine, and glutamate, while high levels of glucose decreased (p < 0.01) consumption, except in the case of tyrosine. For histidine, leucine, isoleucine, and valine consumption, there was an interaction (LPS × glucose, p < 0.05) between LPS and glucose levels. Overall, these findings suggest that relatively high glucose concentrations may lessen the LPS-induced BMEC inflammatory response and reduce amino acid consumption, while low glucose concentrations may increase the demand for most amino acids through proinflammatory responses. Transitioning from traditional energy sources to green and sustainable energy sources can potentially reduce environmental problems. Many countries are gradually recording increasing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions as they develop their economies. As a result, this study aims to use top GHG-emitting countries in its analysis to establish the role green energy and information technology play in reducing their pollution levels. Data from 11 GHG-emitting countries from 1990–2020 were utilized. The Fully Modified Ordinary Least squares (FMOLS), Dynamic ordinary least squares (DOLS), and Granger causality are used for the analysis. The empirical results revealed that an increase in non-renewable energy usage of 1% increases GHG gas emissions by 0.6960% (FMOLS) and 0.6119% (DOLS). On the impact of renewable energy, a 1% increase reduces GHG emissions by 0.1145% (FMOLS) and 0.1957% (DOLS). Also, a 1% increase in information technology increases GHG emissions by 0.0459% (FMOLS) and 0.0429% (DOLS) under the specifications of FMOLS and DOLS. The directional causalities are established in the study as well. In light of this, using "abundant" renewable energy sources is the gateway to reducing GHG emissions alongside their tremendous economic growth and I.T. development. The real-time evolution of the deformation and strain field of non-heat-treatable aluminum alloy 5754 and heat-treatable aluminum alloy 6061 resistance spot welding joints during the lap shear test was extracted using the digital image correlation (DIC) technique. The strain competition phenomenon between the nugget and its peripheral metal was quantitatively analyzed by applying 2D and 3D DIC analyses. The quantitative data show the tensile strain concentrated in the peripheral metal of the AA5754-O joint, which fractured in the pull-out mode. In comparison, a significant shear strain appears in the nugget of the AA6061-T6 joint, leading to its fracture in the interfacial failure mode during the lap shear test. The phase evolution of the nugget was analyzed using the thermodynamics database JMatPro, which was further used to calculate the local strength of the joints. The results indicate that the nugget strength of AA5754 is 223 MPa, the nugget strength of AA6061 is 178 MPa, and the heat-affected zone (HAZ) strength of AA6061 is 263 MPa. Actively exploring a reduction in carbon emissions from rural residents' living consumption (RRLC) is necessary to address climate change and achieve high-quality development of the rural economy. Based on the measurement of the carbon emissions from RRLC in China between the years 2000 and 2021, and it uncovers regional differences, dynamic evolution and convergence. The main findings are as follows: (1) Using the Dagum Gini coefficient, it was found that the differences in carbon emissions from RRLC in the nationwide and low-income level group (LLLG), low-middle-income level group (LMLG), upper-middle-income level group (UMLG), and high-income level group (HHLG) are all significantly decreasing, and the intensity of transvariation is the primary source of the overall difference. (2) Using the kernel density estimation, it was found that the level of carbon emissions from RRLC in the nationwide and the four major regions have generally gone upward, as well as a polarisation phenomenon. (3) Using the Markov chain, it was shown that there is an instability in the carbon emissions from RRLC, which can be transferred downward to the ideal state, but there is also a risk of increasing the upward shift of carbon emissions. (4) The nationwide level and the four regions showed typical σ convergence characteristics and absolute β convergence. After considering the influence of socio-economic and natural climatic factors, conditions β convergence trend is shown. And there are significant regional differences in spatial β convergence. The limitation of this study is that the data on carbon emissions from RRLC are only obtained at the macro level, which cannot accurately reflect the micro and individual impact on RRLC. Innovative provinces are essential to innovative countries and robust support for constructing national and regional innovation systems. Based on the panel data of 28 provinces from 2016 to 2019, this paper builds a regional innovation ecosystem performance evaluation system from five dimensions: innovation subject, innovation environment, innovation resource, resource flow, and interaction intermediaries. The index weighting is carried out using the principal component analysis method, and the innovation ecosystem performance of various provinces is evaluated and analyzed to determine the regional distribution status of innovation ecosystem performance. Based on a multi-period difference-in-differences model, this paper empirically tests the impact of innovative provincial policies on the innovation ecosystem performance of each region in the former innovation development stage. The results show that innovative provincial policies significantly positively impact the regional innovation ecosystems, which are multi-dimensional, long-term, and stable. The three secondary indicators, including ecological composition, resource input, and circulation flow, show a positive impact. Further research reveals that the main pathways of the effects are promoting the expansion of innovation inputs and the increase of interaction intermediaries among innovation subjects. Finally, combining the contents and impact of the previous innovative provincial policies, this paper puts forward corresponding thoughts and suggestions for the next phase of regional pilot-type innovation policies. To improve the human living environment and maintain the balance of the ecosystem, the Chinese government implemented a new environmental protection law (NPL) in 2015. Based on data for Chinese A-share listed companies and prefecture-level cities from 2005 to 2020, a difference-in-difference model is used to empirically explore the impact of the mandatory environmental regulation on labor demand (LD) and green innovation transformation (GIT) for heavy pollution enterprise (HPE). The results indicate that NPL leads HPE to reduce LD and achieve GIT, compared to non-HPE. This finding still holds by a series of robustness tests. Lower financial constraints and higher fintech can alleviate the negative impact of the NPL on the LD of HPE and enhance the positive impact of the NPL on the GIT of HPE. From regional heterogeneity, NPL causes HPE to increase their labor in the eastern region but reduce labor in the middle and western regions. NPL positively affects the GIT and shows a "U" shape from the east-middle-west regions. From enterprise heterogeneity, NPL mainly has a significant dampening effect on the LD for old and high staff cost enterprises and has a greater positive impact on the GIT for these both types of enterprises. Meanwhile, there is a gradually increasing lag in the impact of NPL on LD and GIT. The natriuretic peptide system (NPS) and renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS) function oppositely at multiple levels. While it has long been suspected that angiotensin II (ANGII) may directly suppress NPS activity, no clear evidence to date supports this notion. This study was designed to systematically investigate ANGII–NPS interaction in humans, in vivo, and in vitro. Circulating atrial, b-type, and c-type natriuretic peptides (ANP, BNP, CNP), cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), and ANGII were simultaneously investigated in 128 human subjects. Prompted hypothesis was validated in vivo to determine the influence of ANGII on ANP actions. The underlying mechanisms were further explored via in vitro approaches. In humans, ANGII demonstrated an inverse relationship with ANP, BNP, and cGMP. In regression models predicting cGMP, adding ANGII levels and the interaction term between ANGII and natriuretic peptides increased the predictive accuracy of the base models constructed with either ANP or BNP, but not CNP. Importantly, stratified correlation analysis further revealed a positive association between cGMP and ANP or BNP only in subjects with low, but not high, ANGII levels. In rats, co-infusion of ANGII even at a physiological dose attenuated cGMP generation mediated by ANP infusion. In vitro, we found the suppressive effect of ANGII on ANP-stimulated cGMP requires the presence of ANGII type-1 (AT1) receptor and mechanistically involves protein kinase C (PKC), as this suppression can be substantially rescued by either valsartan (AT1 blocker) or Go6983 (PKC inhibitor). Using surface plasmon resonance (SPR), we showed ANGII has low binding affinity to the guanylyl cyclase A (GC-A) receptor compared to ANP or BNP. Our study reveals ANGII is a natural suppressor for the cGMP-generating action of GC-A via AT1/PKC dependent manner and highlights the importance of dual-targeting RAAS and NPS in maximizing beneficial properties of natriuretic peptides in cardiovascular protection. Exploring the effect of new-type urbanization (NTU) on urban carbon abatement is of great practical significance for promoting urban green construction and coping with the challenge of global climate change. This study used data from 250 cities in China from 2008 to 2020 and constructed the NTU evaluation indicator system from five dimensions. We used classical panel regression models to examine the effects of NTU on urban CO2 emissions, and further used spatial econometric models of SEM, SAR, and SDM to identify the spatial spillover effects of NTU on urban CO2 emissions. The main results are that China's NTU and CO2 emissions are generally rising, and NTU has a significantly negative effect on urban CO2 emissions, with an impact coefficient of −0.9339; the conclusions still hold after subsequent robustness tests. Heterogeneity analysis reveals that NTU's carbon abatement effect is more pronounced in resource-based cities, old industrial areas, and cities with lower urbanization levels and higher innovation levels. Mechanism analysis shows that improving urban technological innovation and optimizing resource allocation are important paths for realizing urban CO2 emission reduction. NTU's effect on urban CO2 emissions has a noticeable spatial spillover. Our findings provide policy makers with solid support for driving high-quality urban development and dual-carbon targets. The rapid development of modern information technology has promoted the emergence of a new economic form: the digital economy, which has effectively changed economic development patterns and has become an important engine for economic growth in the new era. At the same time, sustainable development is the focus of the world today. Based on the panel data of 280 Chinese cities from 2011 to 2019, this study used the entropy method to measure levels of sustainable urban development while constructing an evaluation system for sustainable urban development levels. In addition, various econometric models were used to empirically analyze the impact, influence mechanisms and spatial effect of the digital economy on sustainable urban development. The results show that (1) the development of the digital economy has effectively promoted the level of sustainable urban development by enhancing the level of green technology innovation and accelerating the upgrading of industrial structures; (2) spatial econometrics regression results indicate that the development of the digital economy is not only an important boost to the sustainable development of local cities, but it also effectively promotes the sustainable development process of surrounding areas; (3) heterogeneity analysis shows that the promoting effect of the digital economy on sustainable urban development is more prominent in the eastern region, in cities larger than medium-size and in non-resource-based cities. Simple Summary: Tea tree oil (TTO) plays an important role in regulating lipid metabolism and has anti-inflammatory properties. However, the effects of TTO in postpartum dairy cows remain to be investigated. The experimental results show that dry matter intake (DMI) tended to increase (p = 0.07) in the 0.01% TTO group relative to that in the control group. Remarkably, the levels of globulin (GLO) and immunoglobulin G (IgG) were elevated (p < 0.05) in the TMR diet supplemented with 0.02% TTO compared to those in the control. In addition, 0.02% TTO increased (p < 0.05) serum glucose levels. In conclusion, these results suggest that TTO could improve lipid metabolism and enhance immunity in postpartum dairy cows. TTO may be a novel resolution strategy for body condition recovery and milk performance improvement. However, the effects of TTO on glucolipid metabolism and immunity in postpartum dairy cows remain uninvestigated. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the effects of TTO on production performance, serum biochemical indicators, and immunity in postpartum dairy cows. Our results demonstrate that DMI tended to increase (p = 0.07) in the total mixed ration (TMR) diets supplemented with 0.01% TTO/dry matter (DM) basis relative to that in the control group. The 4% fat-corrected milk (FCM) content in the 0.01% and 0.02% TTO groups showed an increase (p = 0.09) compared with that in the control. Remarkably, the levels of globulin (GLO) and immunoglobulin G (IgG) were elevated (p < 0.05) in the TMR diet supplemented with 0.02% TTO compared to those in the control group. The TTO caused no profound changes in cholesterol (CHO), triglyceride (TG), high-density lipoprotein (HDL), or low-density lipoprotein (LDL). Notably, 0.02% TTO increased (p < 0.05) the serum glucose concentration relative to that in the control group. In conclusion, our results demonstrate that TTO could improve glucolipid metabolism and enhance immunity in postpartum dairy cows. In recent years, Federated Learning has attracted much attention because it solves the problem of data silos in machine learning to a certain extent. However, many studies have shown that attacks based on Generative Adversarial Networks pose a great threat to Federated Learning. This paper proposes Defense-GAN, a defense method against Generative Adversarial Network attacks under Federated Learning. Under this method, the attacker cannot learn the real image data distribution. Each Federated Learning participant uses SHAP to explain the model and masks the pixel features that have a greater impact on classification and recognition in their respective image data. The experimental results show that while attacking the federated training model using masked images, the attacker cannot always obtain the ground truth of the images. At the same time, this paper also uses CutMix to improve the generalization ability of the model, and the obtained model accuracy is only 1% different from that of the model trained with the original data. The results show that the defense method proposed in this paper can not only resist Generative Adversarial Network attacks in Federated Learning and protect client privacy, but also ensure that the model accuracy of the Federated model will not be greatly affected. Applying natural mineral water to skin care is a popular tendency and many cosmetics products based on thermal spring water have been developed. The special location and environmental conditions provide Dead Sea water (DSW) with unique ion composition and concentrations, which bring comprehensive positive effects on skin health. This article reviews two potential action modes of DSW, and the biological function of DSW and its related complex in dermatology and skin care. Previous studies have proved the functions of skin moisturization, anti-inflammation, skin barrier repair, and anti-pollution. Especially, the anti-aging effect of DSW and related complexes can act in three different ways: keratinocyte rejuvenation, photo-protection, and cellular energy elevation. Additionally, the issues that need further investigation are also discussed. Since Hyperspectral Images (HSIs) contain plenty of ground object information, they are widely used in fine-grain classification of ground objects. However, some ground objects are similar and the number of spectral bands is far higher than the number of the ground object categories. Therefore, it is hard to deeply explore the spatial–spectral joint features with greater discrimination. To mine the spatial–spectral features of HSIs, a Shallow-to-Deep Feature Enhancement (SDFE) model with three modules based on Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and Vision-Transformer (ViT) is proposed. Firstly, the bands containing important spectral information are selected using Principal Component Analysis (PCA). Secondly, a two-layer 3D-CNN-based Shallow Spatial–Spectral Feature Extraction (SSSFE) module is constructed to preserve the spatial and spectral correlations across spaces and bands at the same time. Thirdly, to enhance the nonlinear representation ability of the network and avoid the loss of spectral information, a channel attention residual module based on 2D-CNN is designed to capture the deeper spatial–spectral complementary information. Finally, a ViT-based module is used to extract the joint spatial–spectral features (SSFs) with greater robustness. Experiments are carried out on Indian Pines (IP), Pavia University (PU) and Salinas (SA) datasets. Statin treatment is accepted to prevent adverse cardiovascular events. However, statin therapy has been reported to be dose-dependently associated with increased risk for new-onset type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) is expressed in adipose tissue and is positively correlated with lipid metabolism. It is, however, unknown if PCSK9 participates in adipocyte insulin resistance occurring as a result of statin use. Our goal was to use an in vitro adipose tissue explant approach to support the hypothesis that PCSK9 regulates statin-induced new-onset T2DM. Studies were performed using Pcsk−/− and C57Bl/6J control mice. Pcsk9−/− and control mice were fed a high-fat diet to affect a state of chronically altered lipid metabolism and increased PCSK9. Epididymal fat was excised and incubated with atorvastatin (1 µmol/L) in the absence and presence of insulin or geranylgeranyl pyrophosphate (GGPP). PCSK9 mRNA was evaluated using quantitative rtPCR. We further examined the effects of atorvastatin on insulin-mediated AKT signaling in adipose tissue explants by immunoblotting. Atorvastatin was found to upregulate PCSK9 gene expression in adipose tissue. The metabolic intermediate GGPP is required to downregulate PCSK9 expression. PCSK9 deficiency protects against statin-induced impairments in insulin signaling. Moreover, supplementation with GGPP reversed atorvastatin-induced suppression of insulin signaling. Furthermore, the basal and atorvastatin-stimulated release of free fatty acids was observed in adipose tissue from wild-type mice but not PCSK9 deficient mice. Pueraria lobata (known as Gegen) is an edible and medicinal herb that is a nutritious medicine food homology plant in China. Previous studies indicated that P. lobata plays an essential role in controlling cytokines. However, the exact mechanism of the inflammation response is still unknown. In this study, we observed the uptake of P. lobata-derived exosomes (Exos) in isolated mouse macrophages. Our results show that P. lobata-derived Exos shift M1 macrophages toward the M2. These data present that P. lobata and puerarin might exert and enhance anti-inflammatory effects through the activation of exosomes and shifts in macrophage polarization, providing strong evidence for the application of P. lobata as novel an anti-inflammatory therapeutic biomaterial. With the advent of the digital age and urbanization in China, the digital economy (DE) has gradually become a new engine for city sustainability (SUS). DE and SUS rely on human capital (HC) accumulation and development. It is necessary to study the linear and non-linear impact of DE on SUS, and the moderating effect of HC on the relationship between DE and SUS. The data of 278 prefecture-level cities from 2011 to 2019 were collected. The fixed-effect model and panel threshold regression model were adopted. The results show that DE can significantly promote SUS, and there is a single threshold of HC. In areas with a low level of HC, DE significantly inhibits SUS, and in areas with a high level of HC, DE particularly promotes SUS. There is a regional heterogeneity about the role of DE on SUS. The innovation is that DE, HC, and SUS are first brought into the same research framework. Neutrophils are involved in the development of endometritis, but it remains unknown how neutrophils induce inflammation and tissue damage. Neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) clear invading pathogens during infection but induce pyroptosis, leading to inflammation and tissue damage. Thus, our objective was to investigate whether NETs participate in bovine endometrial epithelial cell (BEEC) pyroptosis during endometritis. To confirm this, NETs and caspase-1/4; apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a caspase-recruitment domain(ASC); nod-like receptor protein-3 (NLRP3); and gasdermin D N-terminal (GSDMD-N), TNF-a, IL-1β, IL-6, and IL-18 in endometrial tissue were detected. Pathological section and vaginal discharge smears were performed to visually determine endometritis in the uterus. BEECs were stimulated with NETs to induce pyroptosis, which was treated with DNase I against pyroptosis. Caspase-1/4, ASC, NLRP3, GSDMD-N, TNF-a, IL-1β, IL-6, and IL-18 in BEECs were analyzed in endometrial tissue. The results showed that NET formation, as well as pyroptosis-related proteins and proinflammatory, cytokines were elevated in the endometrial tissue of cows with endometritis. Pathological sections and vaginal discharge smears showed increased neutrophils and plasma cells in the uterus, as well as tissue congestion. In BEECs, NETs increased the level of pyroptosis-related proteins and proinflammatory cytokines and were diminished by DNase I. To promote economic development, an imbalance in urban–rural development has been caused by a policy of favoring urban areas in every county. Recently, breaking the "urban–rural dual structure" and emphasizing urban–rural "integration" have become the ideal models for most countries to realize sustainable urbanization development. In China, the main goals of new-type urbanization construction (NTUC) are to optimize the urban–rural structure and improve the living standards of rural residents, help narrow the urban–rural income gap (URIG), and realize urban–rural sustainable development. This paper mainly studied the effect of NTUC on the URIG, analyzing the dynamic impact and regional heterogeneity. The moderating effect of NTUC on the URIG was also tested. A difference-in-difference model and mediating effect model were used to investigate the impact of the NTUC on the URIG. We found that, firstly, NTUC can significantly reduce the URIG. After a series of robustness tests was implemented, the results still held. Secondly, the effect of NTUC on the URIG was −0.1684 in the short term and −0.1710 in the long term. NTUC can significantly reduce the URIG in the central and western regions, but the negative impact is insignificant in the eastern region. Thirdly, industrial structure upgrades and financial and digital development are all important ways that NTUC narrows the URIG. Finally, based on our research conclusions, we put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions related to the policy implementation of NTUC, regional differences, industrial structure upgrading, and financial and digital development. Adulteration of high-value beef with lower-priced alternatives is a world-wide problem resulting in consumers' distrust and market chaos. Therefore, effective methods for the identification and quantification of adulterated beef products are urgently needed. In this study, we developed a reliable droplet digital PCR (ddPCR) method targeting the single-copy nuclear genes for qualitative and quantitative detection of the presence of porcine and chicken derivatives in beef. A fixed constant (transfer coefficient) was introduced to directly transform the ratio of DNA copy number to the mass proportion of targeted meats. Results revealed that the linearity range of quantification for pork and chicken were both from 1% (w/w) to 90% (w/w). The limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) of the developed ddPCR method were the same for pork and chicken in beef, with LOD 0.1% (w/w) and LOQ 1% (w/w). The accuracy and applicability of the method was tested and verified using mixed samples with the known proportions and commercially available beef products. We conclude that our developed ddPCR method was accurate and reliable in identifying and quantifying porcine and chicken derivatives in beef and therefore has great potential to be applied in routine analyses and quality control of beef products. Statin treatment is accepted to prevent adverse cardiovascular events. However, atorvastatin, an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, has been reported to exhibit distinct effects on senescent phenotypes. Whether atorvastatin can induce adipose tissue senescence and the mechanisms involved are unknown. The effects of atorvastatin-induced senescence were examined in mouse adipose tissue explants. Here, we showed that statin initiated higher levels of mRNA related to cellular senescence markers and senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP), as well as increased accumulation of the senescence-associated β-galactosidase (SA-β-gal) stain in adipose tissues. Furthermore, we found that the levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS), malondialdehyde (MDA), and Fe2+ were elevated in adipose tissues treated with atorvastatin, accompanied by a decrease in the expression of glutathione (GSH), and glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4), indicating an iron-dependent ferroptosis. Atorvastatin-induced was prevented by a selective ferroptosis inhibitor (Fer-1). Moreover, supplementation with geranylgeranyl pyrophosphate (GGPP), a metabolic intermediate, reversed atorvastatin-induced senescence, SASP, and lipid peroxidation in adipose tissue explants. Atorvastatin depleted GGPP production, but not Fer-1. Atorvastatin was able to induce ferroptosis in adipose tissue, which was due to increased ROS and an increase in cellular senescence. Moreover, this effect could be reversed by the supplement of GGPP. This paper mainly studies the colorization of near-infrared (NIR) images. Image colorization methods cannot be extended to NIR image colorization since the wavelength band of the NIR image exceeds the visible light spectral range and it is often linearly independent of the luminance of the RGB image. Furthermore, a symmetric codec, which cannot guarantee the ability of the encoder to extract features, is often used as the main frame of the network in both CNN-based colorization networks and CycleGAN-based colorization networks. In order to deal with the investigated problem, we propose a novel NIR colorization method using asymmetric codec (ACD) and pixel-level fusion. ACD is designed to improve the feature extraction ability of the encoder by allowing the information to enter deeper into the model and learning more non-redundant information. In addition, the global and local feature fusion networks (GLFFNet) are embedded between the encoder and the decoder to improve the prediction of the subtle color information of the image. The ACD and GLFFNet together constitute the colorization network (ColorNet) in this paper. Bilateral filtering and weighted least squares filtering (BFWLS) are used to fuse the pixel-level information of the input NIR image into the raw output image of the ColorNet. Due to the decreasing self-repairing ability, elder people are easier to form chronic wounds and suffer from slow and difficult wound healing. It is desirable to develop a novel wound dressing that can accelerate chronic wound healing in elderly subjects to decrease the pain of patients and save medical resources. In this work, Heparin and basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF) were dissolved in the mixing solution of 4-arm acrylated polyethylene glycol and dithiothreitol to form hydrogel dressing in vitro at room temperature without any catalysts, which is convenient and easy to handle in clinic application. In vitro re-lease test shows the bFGF could be continuously released for at least 7 days, whereas the dressing surface integrity maintained for 3 days degradation in PBS solution. Three groups of treatments including bFGF-Gel, bFGF-Sol and control without any treatment were applied on the full-thickness wound on the 22 months old mice back. The wound closure rate and histological and immunohistochemical staining all illustrated that bFGF-Gel displayed a better wound healing effect than the other two groups. Thus, as-prepared hydrogel dressing seems supe-rior to current clinical treatment and more effective in elderly subjects, which shows promising potential to be applied in the clinic. CrFeCoNi and CrMnFeCoNi coatings were prepared by laser remelting method. The grain boundary characteristics distribution of both coatings was investigated by electron backscattered diffraction technique. The results showed that the CrFeCoNi coating exhibited higher fraction of low angle grain boundaries and Σ3 boundaries compared to the CrMnFeCoNi coating. The corrosion properties of the CrFeCoNi and CrMnFeCoNi coatings in 3.5 wt% NaCl solution were identified by electrochemical method and localized electrochemical impedance spectroscopy technique. The results indicated that the CrFeCoNi coating had a higher corrosion resistance than the CrMnFeCoNi coating. With the continuous progress of image retrieval technology, in the field of image retrieval, the speed of a search for a desired image from a great deal of image data becomes a hot issue. Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) have been used in the field of image retrieval. However, many image retrieval systems based on CNN have a poor ability to express image features, resulting in a series of problems such as low retrieval accuracy and robustness. When the target image is retrieved from a large amount of image data, the vector dimension after image coding is high and the retrieval efficiency is low. Locality-sensitive hash is a method to find similar data from massive high latitude data. It reduces the data dimension of the original spatial data through hash coding and conversion, and can also maintain the similarity between the data. The retrieval time and space complexity are low. Therefore, this paper proposes a locality-sensitive hash image retrieval method based on CNN and the attention mechanism. The steps of the method are as follows: using the ResNet50 network as the feature extractor of the image, adding the attention module after the convolution layer of the model, and using the output of the network full connection layer to retrieve the features of the image database, then using the local-sensitive hash algorithm to hash code the image features of the database to reduce the dimension and establish the index, and finally measuring the features of the image to be retrieved and the image database to get the most similar image, completing the content-based image retrieval task. The method in this paper is compared with other image retrieval methods on corel1k and corel5k datasets. The experimental results show that this method can effectively improve the accuracy of image retrieval, and the retrieval efficiency is significantly improved. Elevators have become a kind of indispensable facility for everyday life, which bring people both convenience and safety hazards. Specifically in the household environment, an elevator's lifespan is expected to be more than 20 years. An appropriate and regularly maintained counterweight is conducive to extending elevator life. This paper proposes a passenger counting approach in the elevator for regular counterweight adjustment based on commodity WiFi called ECC. Since the running time of the elevator between two adjacent floors is short, the major challenge of ECC is how to count passengers from the limited captured data. This paper first theoretically analyzes the relationship between the number of passengers and the variation of channel state information (CSI). Then ECC constructs a multi-dimensional feature by extracting the average of amplitude (AOA), time-varying spectrum (TVS), and percentage of non-zero elements (PEM) features from the limited data. Finally, the random forest (RF) classifier is used for passenger counting and the local optimization problem is solved by expanding the feature dataset through data segmentation. ECC is implemented by using off-the-shelf IEEE 802.11n devices, and its performance is evaluated via extensive experiments in typical real-world scenes. The estimated precision of ECC can reach more than 95%, and more than 97% of estimation errors are less than 2 persons, which demonstrates the superior effectiveness and generalizability of ECC. Populus ussuriensis Kom. is a valuable forest regeneration tree species in the eastern mountainous region of Northeast China. It is known that diploid P. ussuriensis (CK) performed barely satisfactorily under salt stress, but the salt stress tolerance of polyploid (i.e., triploid (T12) and tetraploid (F20)) P. ussuriensis is still unknown. In order to compare the salt stress tolerance and salt stress response mechanism between diploid and polyploid P. ussuriensis, phenotypic observation, biological and biochemistry index detections, and transcriptome sequencing (RNA-seq) were performed on CK, T12, and F20. Phenotypic observation and leaf salt injury index analysis indicated CK suffered more severe salt injury than T12 and F20. SOD and POD activity detections indicated the salt stress response capacity of T12 was stronger than that of CK and F20. MDA content, proline content and relative electric conductivity detections indicated CK suffered the most severe cell-membrane damage, and T12 exhibited the strongest osmoprotective capacity under salt stress. Transcriptome analysis indicated the DEGs of CK, T12, and F20 under salt stress were different in category and change trend, and there were abundant WRKY, NAM, MYB and AP2/ERF genes among the DEGs in CK, T12, and F20 under salt stress. GO term enrichment indicated the basic growth progresses of CK, and F20 was obviously influenced, while T12 immediately launched more salt stress response processes in 36 h after salt stress. KEGG enrichment indicated the DEGs of CK mainly involved in plant–pathogen interaction, ribosome biogenesis in eukaryotes, protein processing in endoplasmic reticulum, degradation of aromatic compounds, plant hormone signal transduction, photosynthesis, and carbon metabolism pathways. The DEGs of T12 were mainly involved in plant–pathogen interaction, cysteine and methionine metabolism, phagosomes, biosynthesis of amino acids, phenylalanine, tyrosine and tryptophan biosynthesis, plant hormone signal transduction, and starch and sucrose metabolism pathways. The DEGs of F20 were mainly involved in plant hormone signal transduction, plant–pathogen interaction, zeatin biosynthesis, and glutathione metabolism pathways. In conclusion, triploid exhibited stronger salt stress tolerance than tetraploid and diploid P. ussuriensis (i.e., T12 > F20 > CK). Simple Summary: The progression of several inflammatory diseases, including endometritis, has been proven to be enhanced by the process of neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) formation in pathogenesis. Therefore, averting the formation of NETs could be an effective method to combat endometritis. Cl-amidine has been reported to treat certain inflammatory diseases, but its therapeutic role in combating endometritis remains an enigma as it may likely attenuate NETs formation. Hence, we investigate the potential of NETs formation in the pathogenesis of endometritis using rats and the probable therapeutic indices of Cl-amidine against endometritis. It was revealed that LPS induced endometritis in rats, and the formation of NETs was detected in the rats' inflamed uterine tissues. The treatment with Cl-amidine showed the regression of LPS-induced endometritis and protection against uterine tissue damage. Cl-amidine effectively reduced the expression of specific proteins that could enhance the formation of NETs, thereby attenuating the inflammatory response to LPS-induced endometritis in rats. Our research showed that Cl-amidine possesses potentially therapeutic properties against endometritis. Endometritis is a common disease that affects the production in dairy cows and leads to severe losses in the dairy industry. Neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) formation promotes pathogenic invasions of the lumen of the tissue, leading to inflammatory diseases such as mastitis, pancreatitis, and septic infection. However, research that could show the relationship between NETs and endometritis is scarce. Cl-amidine has been shown to ameliorate the disease squealing and clinical manifestation in various disease models. In this study, we investigated the role of NETs in LPS-triggered endometritis in rats and evaluated the therapeutic efficiency of Cl-amidine. An LPS-induced endometritis model in rats was established and found that the formation of NETs can be detected in the rat's uterine tissues in vivo. In addition, Cl-amidine treatment can inhibit NETs construction in LPS-induced endometritis in rats. Myeloperoxidase (MPO) activity assay indicated that Cl-amidine treatment remarkably alleviated the inflammatory cell infiltrations and attenuated the damage to the uterine tissue. The Western blot results indicated that Cl-amidine decreased the expression of citrullinated Histone H3 (Cit-H3) and high-mobility group box 1 protein (HMGB1) protein in LPS-induced rat endometritis. The ELISA test indicated that Cl-amidine treatment significantly inhibited the expression of the pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α. The NETs were determined by Quant-iTTMPicoGreen dsDNA kit®, which indicated that Cl-amidine significantly inhibited the NETs in rat serum. All results showed that Cl-amidine effectively reduced the expression of Cit-H3 and HMGB1 proteins by inhibiting the formation of NETs, thereby attenuating the inflammatory response to LPS-induced endometritis in rats. Nerve regeneration and repair still remain a huge challenge for both central nervous and peripheral nervous system. Although some therapeutic substances, including neuroprotective agents, clinical drugs and stem cells, as well as various growth factors, are found to be effective to promote nerve repair, a carrier system that possesses a sustainable release behavior, in order to ensure high on-site concentration during the whole repair and regeneration process, and high bioavailability is still highly desirable. Hydrogel, as an ideal delivery system, has an excellent loading capacity and sustainable release behavior, as well as tunable physical and chemical properties to adapt to various biomedical scenarios; thus, it is thought to be a suitable carrier system for nerve repair. This paper reviews the structure and classification of hydrogels and summarizes the fabrication and processing methods that can prepare a suitable hydrogel carrier with specific physical and chemical properties. Furthermore, the modulation of the physical and chemical properties of hydrogels is also discussed in detail in order to obtain a better therapeutic effect to promote nerve repair. Although antibiotics have played a certain positive role in the prevention and treatment of poultry diseases, as well as the promotion of poultry growth, some farmers use antibiotics in an incorrect way in the breeding process, resulting in antibiotic residues in poultry tissues, organs and edible products. Residual antibiotics enter the human body through the food chain and accumulate, which not only causes poisoning and allergic reactions, but also drug resistance of pathogenic microorganisms, thus endangering the health of consumers. In this investigation, the residues of 24 antibiotics, including fluoroquinolones, sulfonamides, macrolides, tetracyclines, antivirals, lincomycin and florfenicol, were analyzed in 1211 poultry egg samples in Shandong, China, from 2018 to 2020. Then, based on the per capita intake of poultry eggs recommended in the dietary guidelines of Chinese residents, the maximum residue limit of veterinary drugs specified in Chinese regulations and the average weight of males and females aged 18 and over in 2020, the risk of residual antibiotics was evaluated by International Food Safety indices (IFS). The detection results showed that 104 of 1211 samples were detected with antibiotic residues, with a detection rate of 8.58%. Among them, the main residues were enrofloxacin, sulfonamides and florfenicol. The IFS calculation results showed that the IFS of residual antibiotics ranged from 1.44 × 10−7 to 0.102. Therefore, although enrofloxacin, sarafloxacin, danofloxacin, sulfonamides, tilmicosin, doxycycline, florfenicol, which are banned during egg laying, were detected in poultry eggs in Shandong, these residues did not pose a threat to the health of Chinese adult consumers, according to the daily dietary habits of Chinese people. Rapidly increasing mobile data traffic have placed a significant burden on mobile Internet networks. Due to limited network capacity, a mobile network is congested when it handles too much data traffic simultaneously. In turn, some customers leave the network, which induces a revenue loss for the mobile service provider. To manage demand and maximize revenue, we propose a dynamic plan control method for the mobile service providers under connection-speed-restriction pricing. This method allows the mobile service provider to dynamically set the data plans' availability for potential customers' new subscriptions. With dynamic plan control, the service provider can adjust data network utilization and achieve high customer satisfaction and a low churn rate, which reflect high service supply chain performance. To find the optimal control policy, we transform the high-dimensional dynamic programming problem into an equivalent mixed integer linear programming problem. We find that dynamic plan control is an effective tool for managing demand and increasing revenue in the long term. Numerical evaluation with a large European mobile service provider further supports our conclusion. Furthermore, when network capacity or potential customers' willingness to join the network changes, the dynamic plan control method generates robust revenue for the service provider. Biochar materials are good reducers of nitrogen oxides. The composition and structure of biochar affect significantly its ability to reduce C–NO. In order to study the denitration of flue gases by biochar at high temperature, three kinds of biochar (bamboo charcoal (BC), rice husk ash (RHA), and straw charcoal (SC)) were mixed with cement raw meal in a fixed-bed quartz reactor at the temperature of 800–900 °C and O2 concentration of 0.5%–2%. The results showed that the initial denitration rate of BC was higher than that of RHA, and that of SC was the lowest. RHA had the largest specific surface area, and BC the smallest. The elements C, N, and O and the functional groups of the three types of biochar had a greater influence on the denitration rate than their structures. The denitration rate decreased faster as the O/C ratio increased, and the increase in the relative content of the N element induced the formation of nitrogen-containing functional groups catalyzing C–NO reduction. The content of the C–C bond affected directly the rate of denitration, and both (NCO)x and C–O bonds had a positive effect on the reduction capability of biochar. Simple Summary: Cattle-yak milk is rich in numerous bioactive substances that function beyond their nutritive value. Given the high content of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), this exponent suggests a potential role for cattle-yak milk in preventing cancer, heart disease, and metabolic disorders, such as diabetes. It is expected to isolate probiotic strains with natural and excellent characteristics in optimizing human health. However, little research data and much fewer studies on probiotics from cattle-yak milk are reported. Therefore, in the present study, the beneficial strains from cattle-yak milk were identified to evaluate probiotic characteristics of potential strains, and to screen potential probiotics with an emphasis on making better use of milk in such extreme climatic environments. These findings support the potential application of cattle-yak milk in human health, animal food processing, and drug production in the future as a potential candidate for probiotics. Cattle-yak milk is an important raw material and an indispensable source of high-quality food for local farmers and herdsmen to produce ghee, milk residue, yogurt, and other dairy products. In this study, Lactobacillus strains were isolated from cattle-yak milk for potential probiotic candidates using a series of in vitro tests, including probiotic characterization and safety evaluation (antibiotic susceptibility and hemolytic ability). The results found that the Lactobacillusrhamnosus CY12 strain showed a high survival rate in bile salts, under acid conditions, and in the gastrointestinal juice environment, as well as showing high antimicrobial activity and adhesive potential. The safety evaluation showed that all strains were considered non-hemolytic. In addition, the whole-genome sequencing indicated that the strain CY12 spanned 2,506,167 bp, with an average length of 881 bp; the GC content in the gene region (%) was 47.35, contained 1347 protein-coding sequences, and accounted for 85.72% of the genome. The genome annotation showed that genes mainly focused on the immune system process, metabolic process, carbohydrate utilization, carbon metabolism, galactose metabolism, and biological adhesion, etc. This study revealed that the Lactobacillusrhamnosus CY12 strain might be an excellent potential probiotic in the development of feed additives for animals and has the ability to promote health. We propose an imaging method based on optical fiber bundle combined with micro-scanning technique for improving image quality without complex image reconstruction algorithms. In the proposed method, a piezoelectric-ceramic-chip is used as the micro-displacement driver of the optical fiber bundle, which has the advantages of small volume, fast response speed and high precision. The corresponding displacement of the optical fiber bundle can be generated by precise voltage controlling. An optical fiber bundle with core/cladding diameter 4/80 μm and hexagonal arrangement is used to scan the 1951 USAF target. The scanning step is 1 μm, which is equivalent to the diffraction limit resolution of the optical system. The corresponding information is recorded at high speed through photo-detectors and a high-resolution image is obtained by image stitching processing. The minimum distinguishable stripe width of the proposed imaging technique with piezoelectric-ceramic-chip driven micro-scanning is approximately 2.1 μm, which is 1 time higher than that of direct imaging with a CCD camera whose pixel size is close to the fiber core size. The experimental results indicate that the optical fiber bundle combined with piezoelectric-ceramic-chip driven micro-scanning is a high-speed and high-precision technique for high-resolution imaging. Currently, diverse metasurfaces act as exotic platforms enabling versatile wave regulations in deep-subwavelength level for ultracompact integration. To address the existing issues of passive nature and low-efficiency in wave controls, one type of metasurface for active phase tuning is proposed in this paper by integrating the phase-change dielectric of Ge2Sb2Te5 into the of U-shaped meta-atoms. Specifically, the phase-change-based hybrid design of Ge2Sb2Te5-integrated metalens switch is demonstrated and numerically confirmed with switchable focusing. The well-defined metal-insulator-metal (MIM) setup is used to enable high-efficiency reflective wavefront tunig and practical Ge2Sb2Te5 phase transition. Upon the phase transition between the amorphous and crystalline states of Ge2Sb2Te5, the cross-polarized component of reflected waves in the given wavelength range is switched "on" (maximized) for as-designed geometric phase plus meta-lensing or "off" (minimized) for no lensing with ultra-high contrast ratio of ~36:1. Endometritis is a major infectious disease affecting dairy development. MicroRNAs are recognized as critical regulators of the innate immune response. However, the role and mechanism of Bta-miR-24-3p in the development of endometritis are still unclear. This study aimed to investigate the effect of Bta-miR-24-3p on the inflammatory response triggered by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and to clarify the possible mechanism. LPS-treated bovine endometrial epithelial cells (BEECs) were cultured to investigate the role of Bta-miR-24-3p. The expression levels of Bta-miR-24-3p were downregulated, and galectin-9 (LGALS9) were measured by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction. The LPS-induced inflammatory response was assessed by the elevated secretion of inflammatory cytokines measured by using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction. Activation of nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) and TLR4 pathway was assessed by Western blot. The interaction between Bta-miR-24-3p and LGALS9 was validated by bioinformatics analysis and a luciferase reporter assay. LPS-induction in BEECs with Bta-miR-24-3p was overexpressed leads inhibition of pro-inflammatory cytokines, LGALS9 expression, and TLR4/NF-ĸB pathway deactivation. Knockdown of LGALS9 inhibited the LPS-induced inflammatory response in BEECs. LGALS9 was validated as a target of Bta-miR-24-3p. Cloned overexpression of LGALS9 failed to alter the effect of Bta-miR-24-3p on the inflammatory response in BEECs. Overall, Bta-miR-24-3p attenuated the LPS-induced inflammatory response via targeting LGALS9. The immunotherapeutic stabilisation of Bta-miR-24-3p could give a therapeutic option for endometritis and other disorders commonly associated with endometritis, suggesting a novel avenue for endometritis treatment. siRNA interference therapy can silence tumor cell target genes and specifically regulate tumor cell behavior and function, which is an effective antitumor therapy. However, in somatic circulation, naked siRNAs are not only susceptible to degrade, but it is also difficult to realize the tumor cells' internalization. Therefore, novel siRNA delivery vectors that could promote efficacy need to be developed urgently. Here, we designed high-surface gold nanostars (GNS-P) which are decorated with cationic tumor-targeting peptide as an efficient and functional siRNA delivery nanoplatform for tumor therapy. The positively charged amino acid sequence and huge surface area enabled the vector to load a large amount of siRNA, while the tumor-targeting peptide sequence and nano size enabled it to rapidly and precisely target the tumor regions for fast and effective siRNA delivery. Simple Summary: This study evaluated the effect of histidine (His) on hepatic glucose output and the expression of genes related to the gluconeogenic pathway in vitro. However, the effect of His on the expression of gluconeogenic genes in the bovine hepatocytes is less known. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the regulatory effect of His on the key gluconeogenic genes and glucose output in bovine hepatocytes. The addition of 0.15, 0.6, and 1.2 mM His in a medium significantly enhanced (p < 0.05) the viability of bovine hepatocytes. Remarkably, 1.2 mM His induced profound changes (p < 0.05) in the mRNA level of key genes involved in gluconeogenesis, including PCK1, PCK2, FBP1, and G6PC in vitro. Furthermore, the mRNA expression of PCK1 was significantly elevated (p < 0.05) by the addition of 1.2 mM His at 3, 6, 12, and 24 h of incubation. The hepatic glucose output increased (p < 0.05) linearly with increasing His concentration. Simple Summary: Subacute rumen acidosis (SARA) often causes significant losses on commercial farms. SARA is mainly caused by endotoxin (LPS) produced by the lysis of Gram-negative bacteria, which causes an inflammatory response. To alleviate the inflammatory response mediated by LPS, it is important to improve animal production performance. Tea tree oil (TTO) is a plant extract that possesses good bactericidal and anti-inflammatory effects. According to this study, LPS can significantly induce inflammatory responses in goat rumen epithelial cells (GRECs), while the addition of TTO could markedly mitigate inflammatory responses mediated by LPS in GRECs. Therefore, it may be useful for the treatment of SARA. In subacute rumen acidosis (SARA), the rumen epithelium is frequently attacked by endotoxin (LPS), which is caused by the lysis of dead Gram-negative bacteria. However, the rumen epithelium innate immune system can actively respond to the infection. Previous studies have demonstrated that tea tree oil (TTO) has good bactericidal and anti-inflammatory effects. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the effect of TTO on the expression of genes involved in the inflammatory cytokines in goat rumen epithelial cells (GRECs) triggered by LPS. Our study shows that rumen epithelial cells isolated from goat rumen tissue can be cultured in vitro in 0.25% trypsin for a long time. These cells were identified as epithelial cells by the expression of cytokeratin 18, monocarboxylate transporter 4 (MCT4), Na[+]/H[+] hydrogen exchanger 1 (NHE1), putative anion transporter 1 (PAT1), vH+ ATPase B subunit (vH+ ATPase), and anion exchanger 2 (AE2). The mRNA expression of IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, TLR-2, NF-κB, CXCL6 and CXCL8 genes was significantly increased when LPS was used compared to untreated controls. In addition, mRNA expression of IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, TLR-2, NF-κB, CXCL8, CXCL6 and interferon-induced protein with tetratricopeptide repeats 3 (IFIT3) genes was also significantly higher in the LPS group compared to the 0.05% TTO group. However, the expression of IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, TLR-2, CXCL6 and IFIT3 genes was significantly lower in the LPS and 0.05% TTO group compared to the 1 μg/mL LPS group. Coenzyme Q0 (CoQ0) has anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor effects; however, the antimicrobial and antibiofilm activities of CoQ0 against Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium are unknown. Thus, we investigated the bacteriostatic and antibiofilm activities, along with the underlying mechanism, of CoQ0 against S. Typhimurium. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of CoQ0 against S. enterica serovars Typhimurium was 0.1–0.2 mg/mL (549–1098 µM), and CoQ0 at MIC and 2MIC decreased viable S. Typhimurium counts below detectable limits within 6 and 4 h, respectively. CoQ0 at 20MIC (4 mg/mL) reduced S. Typhimurium on raw chicken by 1.5 log CFU/cm3 within 6 h. CoQ0 effectively disrupted cell membrane integrity and induced morphological changes in the cell, resulting in hyperpolarization, decreased intracellular ATP concentrations, and cellular constituents leakage. Biofilm-associated S. Typhimurium cells were killed by CoQ0 treatment. These findings suggest that CoQ0 could be applied as a natural antibacterial substance for use against S. Several reports have implicated the Gram-negative bacteria in the pathogenesis of bovine endometritis, with information dearth on the potentials of Gram-positive bacteria and their endotoxins. The invasive bacteria and their ligands pass through cellular receptors such as TLRs, NLRs, and biomolecular proteins of cells activate the specific receptors, which spontaneously stimulates cellular signaling pathways like MAPK, NF-kB and sequentially triggers upregulation of pro-inflammatory cytokines. The cascade of inflammatory induction involves a dual signaling pathway; the transcription factor NF-κB is released from its inhibitory molecule and can bind to various inflammatory genes promoter. The MAPK pathways are concomitantly activated, leading to specific phosphorylation of the NF-κB. The provision of detailed information on the molecular pathomechanism of bovine endometritis with the interaction between host endometrial cells and invasive bacteria in this review would widen the gap of exploring the potential of receptors and signal transduction pathways in nanotechnology-based drug delivery system. The antioxidant capacity (AC) and antioxidant activity (AA) of three flavonols (FLV), aglycones and their glycosylated derivatives were evaluated using 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and 2,2′-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) assays in various solvents. Findings confirmed that the glycosylation at the 3-position (3-glycosylation) always decreased the AC under most conditions due to substitution of the 3-position hydroxyl group and glycoside disruption in the molecular planarity. The 7-glycosylated derivatives did not have the above effects, thus generally exhibited ACs similar to their aglycones. Glycosylation decreased the AA of kaempferol and isorhamnetin for both assays in methanol, 3-glycosylation inhibited quercetin AA in the ABTS assay. In the DPPH assay, the AA of 3-glycosylated quercetin was significantly higher than quercetin. Using LC–MS/MS analysis, we found that quercetin and quercetin-7-glucoside underwent dimerization during the antioxidant reaction, potentially leading to a decline in AAs. In recent decades, metasurfaces have emerged as an exotic and appealing group of nanophotonic devices for versatile wave regulation with deep subwavelength thickness facilitating compact integration. However, the ability to dynamically control the wave–matter interaction with external stimulus is highly desirable especially in such scenarios as integrated photonics and optoelectronics, since their performance in amplitude and phase control settle down once manufactured. Currently, available routes to construct active photonic devices include micro-electromechanical system (MEMS), semiconductors, liquid crystal, and phase change materials (PCMs)-integrated hybrid devices, etc. For the sake of compact integration and good compatibility with the mainstream complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) process for nanofabrication and device integration, the PCMs-based scheme stands out as a viable and promising candidate. In the cement industry, SO2 and NOx are generally removed separately. There are many problems, such as large area, high investment cost, secondary pollution and so on. Desulfurization and denitrification technology have become a frontier research direction in the field of air pollution control. In this paper, rice husk ash and carbide slag were compounded and modified to prepare modified rice husk ash-carbide slag composite absorbent, and its desulfurization and denitrification performance and mechanism were studied. The results showed that the NO conversion and SO2 conversion of the modified rice husk ash-carbide slag composite absorbent increased by 44% and 2%, respectively, at 700 °C. Fibrous calcium silicate and calcium silicoaluminate hydrates were formed during the hydration process, which made the specific surface area of the absorbent larger and provided more reactive sites. The hydration process increases the content of oxygen-containing functional groups, decreases the hydroxyl/ether C–O functional groups, and increases the content of carboxyl–COO functional groups are conducive to the denitrification reaction. A blockchain voting system based on the feedback mechanism and Wilson score is proposed to solve the problem of the malicious votes behavior. Firstly, the relatively accurate supporting rate and ranking for candidates are obtained using the Wilson score. Secondly, different feedback coefficients are calculated according to the above parameters. Finally, the account points are adjusted according to the feedback coefficients. The feedback mechanism is designed in the voting smart contract, and the smart contract is deployed on the blockchain to ensure the enforcement of the feedback mechanism. A fully functional smart contract is designed and briefly verified in this paper. The experiment is conducted under the K-out-of-L type of weighted voting. Selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology is the most widely used flue gas denitration technology at present. The stability of a catalyst is the main factor limiting the development of this technology. In this study, an environmentally friendly and highly efficient NH3-SCR catalyst was prepared by coprecipitation method from acidolysis residue of industrial waste and tourmaline. We found that the addition of tourmaline has an important impact on the denitration activity of the catalytic material. The NOx conversion exceeded 97% at 200 °C with the dosage of 10% tourmaline, which is about 7% higher than that without doping. The improvement of catalytic performance was mostly attributed to the permanent electrodes of tourmaline, which effectively promotes the dispersion of MnOx/TiO2 catalytic materials, increases the number of acidic sites and changes the valence distribution of manganese ions in products, which speeds up the diffusion of protons and ions, resulting in the acceleration of redox reaction. These as-developed tourmaline-modified MnOx/TiO2 materials have been demonstrated to be promising as a new type of highly efficient low-temperature NH3-SCR catalyst. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions have attracted much attention for increasing concern on the quality of the atmospheric environment. In view of NO decomposition in the cement production process, the preparation of Cu-Al/SiO2 porous material and its effect on NO decomposition were studied, and the denitrification mechanism was proposed in this paper. The NO decomposition performance of the Cu-Al/SiO2 porous material was tested via the experimental setup and infrared spectrometer and micro gas chromatography (GC). The result shows that the Cu-Al/SiO2 porous material with the template of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) had a better NO decomposition rate than materials with other templates when the temperature was above 500 °C, and NO decomposition rate could approach 100% at high temperatures above 750 °C. Structure analysis indicates that the prepared Cu-Al/SiO2 material structure was a mesoporous structure. The X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Ultraviolet–visible spectrophotometry (UV–Vis) results of the denitrification product show that the Cu-Al/SiO2 material mainly decomposed to Cu2O and Si2O, and the CuO decomposed to Cu2O and O2 at high temperature. The potD gene, belonging to the well-conserved ABC (ATP-binding cassette) transport system potABCD, encodes the bacterial substrate-binding subunit of the polyamine transport system. In this study, we found PotD in Haemophilus (Glaesserella) parasuis could actively stimulate both humoral immune and cellular immune responses and elevate lymphocyte proliferation, thus eliciting a Th1-type immune response in a murine immunity and infection model. Stimulation of Raw 264.7 macrophages with PotD validated that Toll-like receptor 4, rather than 2, participated in the positive transcription and expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines IL–1β, IL–6, and TNF–α using qPCR and ELISA. Blocking signal-regulated JNK–MAPK and RelA(p65) pathways significantly decreased PotD-induced pro-inflammatory cytokine production. Overall, we conclude that vaccination of PotD could induce both humoral and cellular immune responses and provide immunoprotection against H. parasuis challenge. The data also suggest that Glaesserella PotD is a novel pro-inflammatory mediator and induces TLR4-dependent pro-inflammatory activity in Raw 264.7 macrophages through JNK–MAPK and RelA(p65) pathways.
