The corrosion damage of rebars is a leading cause of structural failure in reinforced concrete structures. Timely detection and evaluation of corrosion damage are crucial for ensuring structural safety. The self-magnetic flux leakage (SMFL) technology is often used due to its unique advantages in detecting corrosion damage of rebars. However, challenges persist in theoretically characterizing corrosion damage and exploring influencing factors. Therefore, the magnetic dipole theory model coupled with multiple-shaped defects is proposed and the influence of corrosion expansion force on the detection of corrosion damage is analyzed. The results show that the standard deviation of the magnetic field intensity induced by corrosion varied by up to 833%, while that induced by corrosion expansion force did not exceed 10%. So the changes in the SMFL field induced by corrosion damage play the dominant role and the influence of corrosion expansion force can be ignored. In addition, corrosion damage experiments on reinforced concrete based on the SMFL technology were conducted. The results indicate that the SFML curves of rebars change monotonically with the increasing corrosion degree. Significant variations in the curves correspond well with the locations of severe corrosion on the rebars. There is a positive relationship between the proposed magnetic parameters and the corrosion degree of the rebars. Furthermore, a corrosion damage evaluation model considering multiple parameters is developed to predict the corrosion degree of rebars. The dynamic changes in land use/cover (LULC) significantly influence carbon storage, and assessing the vulnerability of carbon storage services in different basins is crucial for a comprehensive understanding of the impacts of human activities on ecosystems. The objective of this study is to propose a framework for optimizing LULC, simulating carbon storage, and assessing vulnerability by integrating the MOP, PLUS, and InVEST models. The results show that forests play a crucial role in enhancing carbon storage services in the Yangtze River Basin (YRB). Carbon storage in the upper reaches of the YRB is on the rise, counteracting the decrease in carbon storage caused by the expansion of built-up land. However, in the middle and lower reaches of the YRB, LULC has a negative impact on ecosystem carbon storage services. Under natural development scenarios, carbon storage is projected to decrease by 68.84 × 106 tons, leading to increased vulnerability of ecosystem carbon storage services. Under the scenario of ecological and economic balance, carbon storage is expected to increase by 97 × 106 tons. Clarifying the spatiotemporal changes in the supply and demand of water-related ecosystem services (WESs) can provide comprehensive support information for ecological governance decisions. However, the spatial mismatch between the supply and demand of WESs is often overlooked, resulting in a lack of targeted decision-making. At the grid scale, while preserving both natural and social attributes, this study quantitatively analyzed the spatiotemporal changes in the supply and demand of WESs in the Southern River Basin from 2000 to 2020. Ecological zoning was performed based on the temporal changes in WESs supply and demand. The OPGD model was used to investigate the impacts of socio-economic and natural factors on different WESs supply factors and further explore the spatial correlation of WESs supply and demand changes in different zones. The results show that there is significant spatial heterogeneity in the changes in WESs supply and demand. Economic belts and megacities have experienced remarkable changes, with WESs supply decreasing and WESs demand increasing. WESs demand changes significantly affect WESs supply changes. The supply of WESs in all zones is influenced by WESs demand. In the high supply–low demand zone, WY has the highest explanatory power for WESs demand changes. From the high supply–middle demand zone to the low supply–middle demand zone and then to the high supply–high demand zone, the explanatory power of PE for WESs demand changes gradually increases. As WESs demand starts from the middle level, HAI gradually dominates WESs demand changes. The increase in land use changes may promote the impact of WESs demand changes on WESs supply changes. This study contributes to incorporating the supply and demand changes of WESs and their correlations into the ecological protection and restoration system, providing a new perspective and method for regional sustainable management. Accurate measurement of the stress in steel structures is crucial for structural health monitoring. To achieve this goal, a novel technique, the laser ultrasonic technique, was used in absolute stress measurement in this study. The feasibility of this technique has been verified through theoretical analysis and finite element (FE) analysis. A stress measurement experiment in steel specimens was conducted and the relationship between ultrasonic relative wave velocity and stress was explored. The results revealed that there is a similar linear correlation between the ultrasonic relative wave velocity and absolute stress. The stress can be obtained based on ultrasonic relative wave velocity. According to the stress measurement results, it was found that the absolute error between the measured stress and theoretical stress was largest when the stress level was low, and that the measured error of stress gradually decreased with increases in the applied stress. The relative error between the measured stress and the theoretical stress was within 10% when the stress was higher than 100 MPa. This further verifies the reliability of the laser ultrasonic technique under high-stress conditions. Additionally, the impact of temperature and surface roughness on stress measurement was analyzed. The stress error in stress measurement increased similarly linearly with the increase in temperature and increased non-linearly with the increase in roughness. Accurately identifying and obtaining changes in ecosystem drivers and the spatial heterogeneity of their impacts on ecosystem services can provide comprehensive support information for ecological governance. In this study, we investigate the changes in the relationship between human and natural factors and water-related ecosystem services (WESs) in different sub-watersheds across various time periods, focusing on four aspects: single-factor effect, nonlinear effect, interactive effects, and spatial characteristics. Taking the southern basins, which have complex topographic, climatic, and economic characteristics, as a study area, the study area was divided into four sub-basins with different characteristics. WESs of water yield, soil conservation, and water purification were quantified using the InVEST model for five periods from 2000 to 2020, and the OPGD and MGWR models were integrated to assess the impacts of 15 factors on WESs and their spatial characteristics. The results show the following: (1) After comparing the data over multiple time periods, climate factors such as precipitation (0.4033) are the primary factors affecting WESs in the southern basins, and human factors such as construction area (0.0688) have a weaker influence. The direct impact of human factors on WESs is not significant in the short term but increases over time. (2) Different sub-watersheds have different impacts on WESs. For instance, human activity intensity (0.3518) is a key factor affecting WESs in the Inward Flowing Area, while precipitation is the primary factor influencing WESs in other sub-watersheds. (3) Influencing factors and WES changes are often nonlinearly correlated; however, once a certain threshold is exceeded, they may have adverse impacts on WESs. (4) When a single factor interacts with other factors, its explanatory power tends to increase. (5) Compared to traditional methods, the estimation accuracy of MGWR is higher. Intense human activities can adversely affect WESs, while abundant precipitation creates favorable conditions for the formation of WESs. Therefore, integrating long-time-series multi-remote sensing data with OPGD and MGWR models is suitable for identifying and analyzing the driving mechanisms of human and natural factors that influence changes in WESs. Achieving sustainable rural development is challenging. However, revitalizing the rural economy is one of the most suitable strategies to overcome sustainable development problems. The rural revitalization strategy aims to create an idealized sustainable development model for rural areas which can avoid the current crisis and utilize institutional advantages to overcome the survival challenges of mostly small-scale peasant economies. The logic of the rural revitalization strategy lies in its essential value implication and practical orientation for consolidating the foundation in rural areas, including its characteristics and its ability to realize long-term sustainable development. There is growing interest in research on rural revitalization and sustainable development, but the current status, trends, and progress are unknown. This study examines the most recent advancements in research patterns for rural revitalization and the promotion of sustainable development from 1995 to 2023. It accomplishes this by thoroughly evaluating and analyzing published scholarly material. We performed a bibliometric analysis of the literature obtained from the Scopus database using VOS Viewer software version 1.6.15. We examined a total of 403 articles and evaluated them, focusing on the precise terms "Rural Revitalization" and "Sustainable Development". We found that post-2018, there has been a notable surge in the popularity and acceptance of research related to these topics. China ranks first in terms of publishing the greatest number of research articles. The journal Sustainability has published the most articles on sustainable development and rural revitalization, followed by Land and the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health. The Journal of Rural Studies published the most cited document. Exciting research areas include the conservation of natural resources, ecosystem cities, and rural revitalization strategies. Increasing the water–cement ratio and water-reducer dosage of cement slurry enhances its fluidity. However, a high water–cement ratio diminishes the beneficial effects of water reducers on fluidity. The stone content of the slurry decreases as the water-reducer dosage increases. Additionally, the water–cement ratio significantly affects stone content. However, when the water–cement ratio exceeds a threshold value, stone content decreases. Furthermore, the threshold value of the water–cement ratio decreases with increasing water-reducer dosage. Without the addition of the water reducer, as the water–cement ratio increases the overall integrity of the grout stone decreases. The addition of the water reducer alters the surface pore distribution, wherein "uniform small pores" change to "localized large pores." Based on the multi-objective optimization of Matlab, the recommended optimal mix composition for a slow-setting cement slurry is a water–cement ratio of 0.25 and water-reducer dosage of 1.5%. With the use of this optimized mix composition, the stone content and compressive strength increase by 7.8% and 145.6%, respectively, compared to those obtained using the recommended mix ratio in the specifications. The variable-length arbitrary Lagrange–Euler absolute nodal coordinate formulation (ALE-ANCF) finite element, which employs nonrational interpolating polynomials, cannot exactly describe rational cubic Bezier curves such as conic and circular curves. The rational absolute nodal coordinate formulation (RANCF) finite element, whose reference length (undeformed length) is constant, can exactly represent rational cubic Bezier curves. A new variable-length finite element called the ALE-RANCF finite element, which is capable of accurately describing rational cubic Bezier curves, is proposed and was formed by combining the desirable features of the ALE-ANCF and RANCF finite elements. To control the reference length of the ALE-RANCF element within a suitable range, element segmentation and merging schemes are proposed. It is demonstrated that the exact geometry and mechanics are maintained after the ALE-RANCF element is divided into two shorter ones, and compared with the ALE-ANCF elements, there are smaller deviations and oscillations after two ALE-RANCF elements are merged into a longer one. Gestational high butterfat (HFB) and/or endocrine disruptor exposure was previously found to disrupt spermatogenesis in adulthood. This study addresses the data gap in our knowledge regarding transgenerational transmission of the disruptive interaction between a high-fat diet and endocrine disruptor bisphenol A (BPA). F0 generation Sprague-Dawley rats were fed diets containing butterfat (10 kcal%) and high in butterfat (39 kcal%, HFB) with or without BPA (25 µg/kg body weight/day) during mating and pregnancy. Gestationally exposed F1-generation offspring from different litters were mated to produce F2 offspring, and similarly, F2-generation animals produced F3-generation offspring. One group of F3 male offspring was administered either testosterone plus estradiol-17β (T + E2) or sham via capsule implants from postnatal days 70 to 210. Another group was naturally aged to 18 months. Combination diets of HFB + BPA in F0 dams, but not single exposure to either, disrupted spermatogenesis in F3-generation adult males in both the T + E2-implanted group and the naturally aged group. CYP19A1 localization to the acrosome and estrogen receptor beta (ERbeta) localization to the nucleus were associated with impaired spermatogenesis. Finally, expression of methyl-CpG-binding domain-3 (MBD3) was consistently decreased in the HFB and HFB + BPA exposed F1 and F3 testes, suggesting an epigenetic component to this inheritance. However, the severe atrophy within testes present in F1 males was absent in F3 males. In conclusion, the HFB + BPA group demonstrated transgenerational inheritance of the impaired spermatogenesis phenotype, but severity was reduced in the F3 generation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Due to the coupling of different energy systems, optimization of different energy complementarities, and the realization of the highest overall energy utilization rate and environmental friendliness of the energy system, distributed energy system has become an important way to build a clean and low-carbon energy system. However, the complex topological structure of the system and too many coupling devices bring more uncertain factors to the system which the calculation of the interval power flow of distributed energy system becomes the key problem to be solved urgently. Affine power flow calculation is considered as an important solution to solve uncertain steady power flow problems. In this paper, the distributed energy system coupled with cold, heat, and electricity is taken as the research object, the influence of different uncertain factors such as photovoltaic and wind power output is comprehensively considered, and affine algorithm is adopted to calculate the system power flow of the distributed energy system under high and low load conditions. The results show that the system has larger operating space, more stable bus voltage and more flexible pipeline flow under low load condition than under high load condition. The calculation results of the interval power flow of distributed energy systems can provide theoretical basis and data support for the stability analysis and optimal operation of distributed energy systems. The grid-connected operation of the distributed generation (DG) via the direct current (DC) microgrid is the operation mode of the DC power distribution system in the future. Considering the grid-connected operation of multiple DC microgrids, we have proposed a new type of DC power distribution management system aiming at the lowest operating cost of the entire DC power distribution system. Our proposed DC power distribution management system can be used to carry out the optimized dispatching for the connected DC microgrids, thereby achieving the economic, safe, and stable operation of DC power distribution management systems. At the same time, through the different nodes where the modular multilevel converter (MMC) is connected to the alternating current (AC) distribution network, a DC power distribution management system can control the active and reactive power generated by the MMC, achieving the control of the load flow of the upper-stage AC grids in real time. The example simulation shows that the method proposed in this paper has a great role in reducing the transmission losses of the power distribution network, achieving electric power peak-load shifting, and utilizing renewable energy. Thus, it can not only maximize the use of distributed renewable resources, but also enable mutual support and optimal scheduling between a DC power distribution system and multiple microgrids. The integrated energy system includes various energy forms, complex operation modes and tight coupling links, which bring challenges to its steady-state modeling and steady-state power flow calculation. In order to study the steady-state characteristics of the integrated energy system, the topological structure of the cold-thermal-electric integrated energy system is given firstly. Then, the steady-state model of the power subsystem, the thermal subsystem, the cold subsystem and the distributed energy station are established, the unified power flow model is established, and the Newton Raphson algorithm is used to solve the unified power flow model. Finally, the influence of the key technical parameters on the steady-state power flow of the integrated energy system is analyzed. Research results show that the photovoltaic power generation plays a supporting role in the voltage of each bus; with the increase of electric load power, the unit value of bus voltage decreases continuously; the water supply temperature of the source node has a greater impact on the steady-state flow in the pipeline and the water supply temperature of each node; the pipeline length of the heat network has a greater impact on the end temperature of the pipeline, the water supply temperature, and the return water temperature of each node. The integrated energy system coupling multi-type energy production terminal to realize multi-energy complementarity and energy ladder utilization is of great significance to alleviate the existing energy production crisis and reduce environmental pollution. In this paper, the topology of the cold-thermal-electricity integrated energy system is built, and the decoupling method is adopted to analyze the feasible interval of load rate under the strong coupling condition, so as to ensure the "source-load" power balance of the system. Establishing a multi-objective optimization function with the lowest system economic operation and pollution gas emission, considering the attribute differences and energy scheduling characteristics of different energy sources of cold, heat and electricity, and adopting different time scales to optimize the operation of the three energy sources of cold, heat and electricity, wherein the operation periods of electric energy, heat energy and cold energy are respectively 15 min, 30 min and 1 h; The multi-objective problem is solved by standard linear weighting method. Finally, the mixed integer nonlinear programming model is calculated by LINGO solver. In the numerical simulation, the hotel summer front load parameters of Zhangjiakou, China are selected for simulation and compared with a single time scale system. The simulation results show that the multi-time scale system reduces the economic operation cost by 15.6% and the pollution gas emission by 22.3% compared with the single time scale system, it also has a wider feasible range of load rate, flexible time allocation, and complementary energy selection. In the model reference adaptive speed observer, the induction motor supply voltage is used as the input of the reference model. However, measuring the supply voltage complicates the system and increases the cost, so the command voltage calculated by the controller is generally used instead of the actual supply voltage in the drive system. However, due to the nonlinear effects of the inverter, the voltage calculated by the controller is different from the actual supply voltage, resulting in a speed observation deviation. This paper analyzes the multiple effects that cause the three-level neutral-point clamped (TL-NPC) inverter output voltage and command voltage deviation. A voltage deviation compensation measure based on the volt-second balance principle is proposed. In this context, the expression of the rotational speed deviation caused by the voltage deviation is derived rigorously and in detail. Finally, the effectiveness of the voltage compensation measure is verified by experiments. The experimental results are basically consistent with the theoretical derivation expressions. There is increasing concern about the health impacts of ambient Particulate Matter (PM) exposure. Traditional monitoring networks, because of their sparseness, cannot provide sufficient spatial-temporal measurements characteristic of ambient PM. Recent studies have shown portable low-cost devices (e.g., optical particle counters, OPCs) can help address this issue; however, their application under ambient conditions can be affected by high relative humidity ( RH ) conditions. Here, we show how, by exploiting the measured particle size distribution information rather than PM as has been suggested elsewhere, a correction can be derived which not only significantly improves sensor performance but which also retains fundamental information on particle composition. A particle size distribution⁻based correction algorithm, founded on κ -Köhler theory, was developed to account for the influence of RH on sensor measurements. The application of the correction algorithm, which assumed physically reasonable κ values, resulted in a significant improvement, with the overestimation of PM measurements reduced from a factor of ~5 before correction to 1.05 after correction. We conclude that a correction based on particle size distribution, rather than PM mass, is required to properly account for RH effects and enable low cost optical PM sensors to provide reliable ambient PM measurements.
