In recent years, smartphones have emerged as the primary terminal for navigation and location services among mass users, owing to their universality, portability, and affordability. However, the highly integrated antenna design within smartphones inevitably introduces interference from internal signal sources, leading to a misalignment between the antenna phase center (APC) and the antenna geometric center. Accurately determining a smartphone's APC can mitigate system errors and enhance positioning accuracy, thereby meeting the increasing demand for precise and reliable user positioning. This paper delves into a detailed analysis of the generation of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver antenna phase center errors and proposes a method for correcting the receiver antenna phase center. Subsequently, a smartphone positioning experiment was conducted by placing the smartphone on an observation column with known coordinates. The collected observations were processed in static relative positioning mode, referencing observations from geodetic-grade equipment, and the accuracy of the static relative positioning fixed solution was evaluated. Following weighted estimation, we determined the antenna phase center of the Xiaomi Mi8 and corrected the APC. A comparison of the positioning results of the Xiaomi Mi8 before and after APC correction revealed minimal impact on the standard deviations (STDs) but significant influence on the root mean square errors (RMSEs). Specifically, the RMSEs in the E/N/U direction were reduced by 59.6%, 58.5%, and 42.0%, respectively, after APC correction compared to before correction. Furthermore, the integer ambiguity fixing rate slightly improved after the APC correction. In conclusion, the determination of a smartphone's APC can effectively reduce system errors in the plane direction of GNSS positioning, thereby enhancing smartphone positioning accuracy. The Global Navigation Satellite System Interferometric Reflectometry (GNSS-IR) technique provides a new remote sensing method that shows great potential for soil moisture detection and vegetation growth, as well as for climate research, water cycle management, and ecological environment monitoring. Considering that the land surface is always covered by vegetation, it is essential to take into account the impacts of vegetation growth when detecting soil moisture (SM). In this paper, based on the GNSS-IR technique, the SM was retrieved from multi-GNSS and multi-frequency data using a machine learning model, accounting for the impact of the vegetation moisture content (VMC). Both the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) data that was used to retrieve SM and the multipath data that was used to eliminate the vegetation influence were collected from a standard geodetic GNSS station located in Nanjing, China. The normalized microwave reflectance index (NMRI) calculated by multipath data was mapped to a normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), which was derived from Sentinel-2 data on the Google Earth Engine platform to estimate and eliminate the influence of VMC. Based on the characteristic parameters of amplitude and phase extracted from detrended SNR signals and NDVI derived from multipath data, three machine learning methods, including random forest (RF), multiple linear regression (MLR), and multivariate adaptive regression spline (MARS), were employed for data fusion. The results show that the vegetation effect can be well eliminated using the NMRI method. Comparing MLR and MARS, RF is more suitable for GNSS-IR SM inversion. Furthermore, the SM reversed from amplitude and phase fusion is better than only those from either amplitude fusion or phase fusion. The results prove the feasibility of the proposed method based on a multipath approach to characterize the vegetation effect, as well as the RF model to fuse multi-GNSS and multi-frequency data to retrieve SM with vegetation error-correcting. In 5G/B5G communication systems, network slicing is utilized to tackle the problem of the allocation of network resources for diverse services with changing demands. We proposed an algorithm that prioritizes the characteristic requirements of two different services and tackles the problem of allocation and scheduling of resources in the hybrid services system with eMBB and URLLC. Firstly, the resource allocation and scheduling are modeled, subject to the rate and delay constraints of both services. Secondly, the purpose of adopting a dueling deep Q network (Dueling DQN) is to approach the formulated non-convex optimization problem innovatively, in which a resource scheduling mechanism and the ϵ -greedy strategy were utilized to select the optimal resource allocation action. Moreover, the reward-clipping mechanism is introduced to enhance the training stability of Dueling DQN. Meanwhile, we choose a suitable bandwidth allocation resolution to increase flexibility in resource allocation. Finally, the simulations indicate that the proposed Dueling DQN algorithm has excellent performance in terms of quality of experience (QoE), spectrum efficiency (SE) and network utility, and the scheduling mechanism makes the performance much more stable. The precise separation of rice particles is an important step in rice processing. In this paper, discrete element simulations of the motion of rice particles of different integrity in an indented cylinder separator were carried out using numerical simulation methods. The effects of single factors (cylinder rotation rate, cylinder axial inclination angle, and collection trough inclination angle) on the motion trajectories of particles are investigated and the probability distribution functions of particles are obtained. The statistical method of Kullback-Leibler divergence is used to quantitatively evaluate the differences in the probability distribution functions of the escape angles of particles of different degrees of integrity. The purpose of this paper is to determine the optimum parameters for an indent cylinder separator by understanding the material cylinder separating process from particle scale and to provide a basis for the numerical design of a grain particle cylinder separators. In traditional Chinese medicine, soft-shelled turtle protein and peptides serve as a nutraceutical for prolonging the lifespan. However, their effects on anti-aging have not been clarified scientifically in vivo. This study aimed to determine whether soft-shelled turtle peptides (STP) could promote the lifespan and healthspan in Drosophila melanogaster and the underlying molecular mechanisms. Herein, STP supplementation prolonged the mean lifespan by 20.23% and 9.04% in males and females, respectively, delaying the aging accompanied by climbing ability decline, enhanced gut barrier integrity, and improved anti-oxidation, starvation, and heat stress abilities, while it did not change the daily food intake. Mechanistically, STP enhanced autophagy and decreased oxidative stress by downregulating the target of rapamycin (TOR) signaling pathway. In addition, 95.18% of peptides from the identified sequences in STP could exert potential inhibitory effects on TOR through hydrogen bonds, van der Walls, hydrophobic interactions, and electrostatic interactions. Racial/ethnic minorities are prone to adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), posing a concern over social justice. However, the influence of interracial family structure has been rarely discussed. Considering that 26% of Hispanic individuals form interracial marriages in the U.S., we need to examine whether interracial family structure matters for ACEs disparities in Latinx families. We hypothesized that there were differences in ACEs between intraracial and interracial families in the Latinx population. A Latinx sample was collected from the Fragile Family and Child Well-being Studies with 1113 children of two Latinx parents and 397 children of interracial parents (e.g., White mother/Latinx father, Black mother/Latinx father, Latinx mother/White father, Latinx mother/Black father). Negative binomial models revealed a higher overall ACEs score among children in interracial families (β = 0.54, p < 0.05). Compared to children with two Latinx parents, children in each interracial family group were prone to higher risks of different ACEs. For example, children with Latinx mothers and Black fathers were more likely to experience parental separation (OR = 2.33), household material hardship (OR = 1.64), physical abuse (OR = 6.01), and psychological abuse (OR = 3.49) than children in intraracial Latinx families. Based on our findings, we call for culturally responsive ACEs prevention and intervention that consider the unique stressors of interracial families, to promote the health and well-being of racial/ethnic minorities. Defect generation is a crucial method for solving data problems in industrial defect detection. However, the current defect generation methods suffer from the problems of background information loss, insufficient consideration of complex defects, and lack of accurate annotations, which limits their application in defect segmentation tasks. To tackle these problems, we proposed a mask-guided background-preserving defect generation method, MDGAN (mask-guided defect generation adversarial networks). First, to preserve the normal background and provide accurate annotations for the generated defect samples, we proposed a background replacement module (BRM), to add real background information to the generator and guide the generator to only focus on the generation of defect content in specified regions. Second, to guarantee the quality of the generated complex texture defects, we proposed a double discrimination module (DDM), to assist the discriminator in measuring the realism of the input image and distinguishing whether or not the defects were distributed at specified locations. The experimental results on metal, fabric, and plastic products showed that MDGAN could generate diversified and high-quality defect samples, demonstrating an improvement in detection over the traditional augmented samples. Organophosphorus compounds have toxic effects on organisms and the ecosystem. Therefore, it is vital to monitor and control the effluent organophosphorus levels of wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs). This study analyzed the composition and concentration of organophosphorus compounds from the upstream enterprises of a WWTP and conducted ecological risk and toxicity assessments using ECOSAR (ecological structure activity relationship model), T.E.S.T (Toxicity Estimation Software Tool), and risk quotient (RQ) methods. A total of 14 organic phosphorus pollutants were detected in the effluent of the upstream enterprises and WWTP. The concentration of influent total organic phosphorus from the WWTP was 39.5 mg/L, and the effluent total organic phosphorus was merely 0.301 mg/L, indicating that good phosphorus removal was achieved in the WWTP. According to the acute and chronic toxicity analysis, the ECOSAR ecotoxicity assessment showed that 11 kinds of organophosphorus compounds were hazardous to fish, daphnia, and algae in different degrees. Among them, triphenyl phosphine (TPP) had a 96 hr LC50 of 1.00 mg/L for fish and is a substance with high acute toxicity. T.E.S.T evaluates the acute toxicity of each organophosphorus component and the bioconcentration factor (BCF). The evaluation results showed that the LC50 of TPP and octicizer were 0.39 and 0.098 mg/L, respectively, and the concentrations of these two organophosphorus compounds from the effluent of an environmental protection enterprise were as high as 30.4 mg/L and 0.735 mg/L, which exceeded the acute toxicity values and has led to serious hazards to aquatic organisms. The BCF values of each organophosphorus component in the upstream enterprises and the effluent of the WWTP were less than 2000, implying that there was no bioaccumulation effect on aquatic organisms. The developmental toxicity assessment demonstrated that there were nine types of organophosphorus compounds belonging to developmental toxicants, that the presence of developmental toxicants was found in the effluent of each upstream enterprise, and that triethyl phosphate (TEP) was the most common organophosphorus compound. Comparing the RQ of the effluent from various enterprises, it was found that the effluent from the environmental protection enterprise presented the highest degree of environmental hazard, mainly due to the higher toxicity of TEP and octicizer. Advanced organic vapor sensors that simultaneously have high sensitivity, fast response, and good reproducibility are required. Herein, flexible, robust, and conductive vapor-grown carbon fibers (VGCFs)-filled polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) porous composites (VGCFs/PDMS sponge (CPS)) with multilevel pores and thin, rough, and hollows wall were prepared based on the sacrificial template method and a simple dip-spin-coating process. The optimized material showed outstanding mechanical elasticity and durability, good electrical conductivity and hydrophobicity, as well as excellent acid and alkali tolerance. Additionally, CPS exhibited good reproducible sensing behavior, with a high sensitivity of ~1.5 × 105 s−1 for both static and flowing organic vapor, which was not affected in cases such as 20% squeezing deformation or environment humidity distraction (20~60% RH). Interestingly, both the reproducibility and sensitivity of CPS were better than those of film-shaped VGCFs/PDMS (CP), which has a thickness of two hundred microns. Therefore, the contradiction between the reproducibility and high sensitivity was well-solved here. The above excellent performance could be ascribed to the unique porous structures and the rough, thin, hollow wall of CPS, providing various gas channels and large contact areas for organic vapor penetration and diffusion. Excess large and unstable air bubbles can reduce the compressive strength of hardened concrete, and traditional defoamers always fail because of adsorption and encapsulation on cement with the progress of cement hydration in later stages. It is necessary to develop a novel defoamer that shows a sustained defoaming ability in fresh concrete. A novel slow-release defoamer for concrete using porous nanoparticles as carriers is reported for the first time. The porous nanoparticles/polyether defoamer composite (SiO2-Def) was prepared via sol-gel method. SiO2-Def is a spherical composite nanoparticle with a size range of 160–200 nm and a uniform pore size distribution. SiO2-Def shows a high load rate of about 16.4% and an excellent release under an alkali and salt environment. It has a weak initial defoaming ability but shows a sustained defoaming ability with time, so that it can avoid the failures of defoamers and eliminate harmful bubbles entrained during the processes of pumping and transportation. In this study, a series of polyether-type defoamers for concrete which consist of the same alkyl chain (hydrophobic part) but different polyether chains (hydrophilic part) was prepared, and the structure–property relationship of the defoamers was investigated for the first time. Using oleyl alcohol (OA) as the starting agent (alkyl chain), the polyether defoamers with different polyether chains were prepared by changing the amount and sequence of ethylene oxide (EO) and propylene oxide (PO) units. The properties of different defoamers were tested in aqueous solutions, and fresh and hardened mortars; the structure–property relationship of the defoamers was thus studied. The results indicated that the defoaming capacity of the polyether defoamers decreased with an increased EO amount, and the defoamers linked with both EO and PO units (PO before EO) had a stronger defoaming capacity than those linked with EO only. Global Navigation Satellite System interferometric reflectometry (GNSS-IR), a new and inexpensive technique, has become available to the broader scientific community for detecting surface environmental information, such as soil moisture, snow depth and vegetation growth. However, there have been limited experiments focusing on the potential of crop height retrieval, especially the performance evaluation of BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) with other GNSS. Accuracy and reliability are challenging to achieve with traditional methods utilizing a single GNSS, and few measured verification data. In this study, an improved method that includes segmentation processing and multi-GNSS fusion is proposed based on GPS/GLONASS/Galileo/BDS multi-frequency data. Furthermore, experiments were carried out on a farmland in Fengqiu County, Henan Province, China. The results show that the height retrievals from four GNSS were in good agreement with the in situ observations during the whole growth cycle of the wheat after overwintering. Meanwhile, the retrievals based on the proposed method exhibited greater correspondence than the single frequency results, the correlation coefficient was increased and the root-mean-square error (RMSE) was reduced, respectively. Therefore, this study illustrates the feasibility of the proposed method to precisely estimate wheat height and its potential for use in the early warning of wheat lodging based on GNSS-IR. With the explosive growth of network traffic and the diversification of service demands, network slicing (NS) and dual connectivity (DC) are considered as promising technologies in wireless networks. In this paper, we propose a novel algorithm that solves the resource allocation problem of NS in heterogeneous networks with the assistance of DC, while satisfying the characteristic requirements of eMBB and URLLC services. Firstly, we model the scenario and formulate the optimization problem, which is proved as an NP-Hard problem. Secondly, due to the nonconvex and combinatorial nature, the dueling double deep Q-network with long short-term memory (LSTM-D3QN) is proposed to solve this problem, aiming to improve the overall network utility, while ensuring the quality of experience (QoE). Then, we analyze the complexity of the algorithm. Finally, the simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can maximize the total utility of the system, while guaranteeing the user QoE. Compared with LSTM-A2C and DQN, the proposed algorithm improves the long-term network utility by 2.6% and 7.2%, respectively. In addition, compared with the algorithm without DC under the conditions of no priority, eMBB priority and URLLC priority, the proposed algorithm improves the network utility by 4.2%, 2.1% and 4.1%, respectively. Carbon emissions caused by the massive consumption of energy have brought enormous pressure on the Chinese government. Accurately and rapidly characterizing the spatiotemporal characteristics of Chinese city-level carbon emissions is crucial for policy decision making. Based on multi-dimensional data, including nighttime light (NTL) data, land use (LU) data, land surface temperature (LST) data, and added-value secondary industry (AVSI) data, a deep neural network ensemble (DNNE) model was built to analyze the nonlinear relationship between multi-dimensional data and province-level carbon emission statistics (CES) data. The city-level carbon emissions data were estimated, and the spatiotemporal characteristics were analyzed. As compared to the energy statistics released by partial cities, the results showed that the DNNE model based on multi-dimensional data could well estimate city-level carbon emissions data. In addition, according to a linear trend analysis and standard deviational ellipse (SDE) analysis of China from 2001 to 2019, we concluded that the spatiotemporal changes in carbon emissions at the city level were in accordance with the development of China's economy. Stray neutrons might cause several negative impacts. However, it is usually difficult to conduct precise stray neutron simulations using the Monte Carlo method. Therefore, in this study, a measurement technique was proposed to study the stray neutrons experimentally inside the neutron scattering instruments at China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS). The adopted measurement instruments comprise an extended-range Bonner sphere spectrometer and a commercial neutron ambient-dose-equivalent dosimeter, which enables us to directly measure the neutron spectra and ambient-dose equivalent H*(10) values. Verification experiments were performed inside the BL06 beam line experimental area at CSNS at two exposed locations with different sample conditions. Comparison of the experimentally measured neutron spectra, integral neutron fluence, and H*(10) value with the simulations demonstrated the feasibility of using the proposed method for studying stray neutrons for the neutron instruments. The flow and heat transfer characteristics of supercritical fluid in a U-tube have an important influence on the safe operation of a moderator, and the variation of gravity direction is suitable for special working conditions of the moderator. In this study, the three-dimensional turbulence flow and heat transfers of supercritical liquid hydrogen in a U-tube were investigated at an Re number ranging from 16,425 to 54,750 under constant heat flux (q = 80 kW/m2). The total length of the U-tube was 1725 mm, which had an entrance length L/D of 23, with the inner diameter and wall thickness of D × δ = 10 × 2 mm. The finite volume method was adopted, and the grid independence was verified by the grid convergence index (GCI). The calculation results of three turbulence models (SST k-w, RNG k-ε, Standard k-ε) were compared with the corresponding experimental data to obtain the turbulence model with the smallest error. The convective heat transfer characteristics with different values of heat flux (q = 30 kW/m2~100 kW/m2), mass flow (G = 3 g/s~10 g/s), and gravity (gx, gy, gz) were compared. Meanwhile, the heat transfer characteristics of supercritical liquid and conventional liquid hydrogen were compared. The results show that Nu increased from 5 g/s to 10 g/s by 56.6%, and mass flow rate had a greater impact on the variation of Nu; when gravity direction was consistent with the flow direction of liquid hydrogen (gx direction), the Nu number inside the channel was 4.21% and 5.56% higher than that in gy and gz direction, respectively. Supercritical liquid hydrogen has a stronger heat transfer ability than conventional liquid hydrogen, of which the Nu number is 16.7% higher. This study can provide useful guidance for the design of flow and heat transfer of supercritical liquid hydrogen in a U-tube and its application in moderators. Network slicing (NS) is an emerging technology in recent years, which enables network operators to slice network resources (e.g., bandwidth, power, spectrum, etc.) in different types of slices, so that it can adapt to different application scenarios of 5 g network: enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB), massive machine-type communications (mMTC) and ultra-reliable and low-latency communications (URLLC). In order to allocate these sliced network resources more effectively to users with different needs, it is important that manage the allocation of network resources. Actually, in the practical network resource allocation problem, the resources of the base station (BS) are limited and the demand of each user for mobile services is different. To better deal with the resource allocation problem, more effective methods and algorithms have emerged in recent years, such as the bidding method, deep learning (DL) algorithm, ant colony algorithm (AG), and wolf colony algorithm (WPA). This paper proposes a two tier slicing resource allocation algorithm based on Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) and joint bidding in wireless access networks. The wireless virtual technology divides mobile operators into infrastructure providers (InPs) and mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs). This paper considers a single base station, multi-user shared aggregated bandwidth radio access network scenario and joins the MVNOs to fully utilize base station resources, and divides the resource allocation process into two tiers. The algorithm proposed in this paper takes into account both the utilization of base station (BS) resources and the service demand of mobile users (MUs). In the upper tier, each MVNO is treated as an agent and uses a combination of bidding and Deep Q network (DQN) allows the MVNO to get more resources from the base station. In the lower tier allocation process, each MVNO distributes the received resources to the users who are connected to it, which also uses the Dueling DQN method for iterative learning to find the optimal solution to the problem. The results show that in the upper tier, the total system utility function and revenue obtained by the proposed algorithm are about 5.4% higher than double DQN and about 2.6% higher than Dueling DQN; In the lower tier, the user service quality obtained by using the proposed algorithm is more stable, the system utility function and Se are about 0.5–2.7% higher than DQN and Double DQN, but the convergence is faster. An analytical method to calculate and optimize the performance of a multi-mirror combined solar dish collector is proposed in this work. It is based on the method of directly calculating the optical efficiency of a reflecting point, which can consider the influence of many factors. The distribution of the reflected solar intensity is obtained by the convolution of the actual solar intensity distribution and Gaussian distribution of the optical error. Then, the optical efficiency for a single mirror is calculated through integration over the total area of the mirror, and the method is validated by the SolTrace code. It is a rather quick method that reduces the amount of calculation and keeps high accuracy. The heat loss per unit area for the cavity receiver is assumed to be constant at a definite operation temperature for performance analysis and optimization. Taking a 62.25 m2 combined dish system with 249 square spherical mirrors as an example, the effects of system focal length, open radius of receiver, optical error, and focal length of the mirror on the system intercept factor and efficiency are studied. An optimization model is developed for maximizing the annual average net thermal efficiency. If the mirrors used have the same focal length for reducing the manufacture cost, when the optical error is 2 mrad, the net thermal efficiency and the intercept factor of the optimized system are 85.87% and 98.60%, respectively, while the concentration ratio is about 2000. The transmission of the orbital angular momentum (OAM) beam has attracted a lot of attention in the field of free-space optical (FSO) communication. Usually, after transmitting in atmospheric turbulences, the helical phase-front of OAM beams will be severely distorted, and there will exist the intermode crosstalk. As a result, the performance of the communication system will degrade significantly. In this paper, we have investigated the influences of the level of the turbulence strength to the transmitting OAM beams by changing the refractive-index structural parameter of C n 2 and the number of turbulence random phase screens of N in simulation environment. Then, by adopting the Gerchberg-Saxton (GS) algorithm, which can be used to compute the pre-compensation phase and correct the distorted OAM beams, the retrieving performances of transmitting single and multiplexed OAM beams under different turbulence strengths were also investigated. The simulation results show that with increasing the atmospheric-turbulence strength levels determined by the parameters C n 2 and N, the retrieving performances decrease dramatically. When the turbulence strength level is selected within an appropriate range, the OAM beams can be effectively retrieved by adopting GS algorithm and observing the power density spectrum. The valorization of cellulose and lignin residues in an integrated biorefinery is of great significance to improve the overall economics but has been challenged by their structural recalcitrance, especially for lignin residue. In this work, a facile chemical conversion route to fabricating functional UV-blocking cellulose/lignin composite films through a facile dissolution–regeneration process using these biomass residues was proposed. Three representative lignin residues, i.e., aspen and poplar wood lignin, and corn stover (CS) lignin were assessed for their feasibility for the film fabrication. The UV-blocking performance of the composite films were comparatively investigated. Results showed that all these three lignin residues could enhance the UV-blocking property of the composite films, corresponding to the reduction in the optical energy band gap from 4.31 to 3.72 eV, while poplar lignin had a considerable content of chromophores and showed the best UV-blocking enhancement among these three assessing lignins. The enhancement of UV-blocking property was achieved without compromising the visible-light transparency, mechanical strength and thermal stability of the composite films even at 4% lignin loading. As a momentous energetic group, a nitro group widely exists in high-energy-density materials (HEDMs), such as trinitrotoluene (TNT), 1,3,5-triamino-2,4,6-trinitrobenzene (TATB), cyclo-1,3,5-trimethylene-2,4,6-trinitramine (RDX), etc. The nitro group has a significant effect on improving the oxygen balance and detonation performances of energetic materials (EMs). Moreover, the nitro group is a strong electron-withdrawing group, and it can increase the acidity of the acidic hydrogen-containing nitrogen-rich energetic compounds to facilitate the construction of energetic ionic salts. Thus, it is possible to design nitro-nitrogen-rich energetic compounds with adjustable properties. In this paper, the nitration methods of azoles, including imidazole, pyrazole, triazole, tetrazole, and oxadiazole, as well as azines, including pyrazine, pyridazine, triazine, and tetrazine, have been concluded. Firstly, 2,3-butanediol (2,3-BDO) is a chemical platform used in several applications. However, the pathogenic nature of its producers and the expensive feedstocks used limit its scale production. In this study, cane molasses was used for 2,3-BDO production by a nonpathogenic Clostridium ljungdahlii. It was found that cane molasses alone, without the addition of other ingredients, was favorable for use as the culture medium for 2,3-BDO production. Compared with the control (i.e., the modified DSMZ 879 medium), the differential genes are mainly involved in the pathways of carbohydrate metabolism, membrane transport, and amino acid metabolism in the case of the cane molasses alone. However, when cane molasses alone was used, cell growth was significantly inhibited by KCl in cane molasses. Similarly, a high concentration of sugars (i.e., above 35 g/L) can inhibit cell growth and 2,3-BDO production. More seriously, 2,3-BDO production was inhibited by itself. As a result, cane molasses alone with an initial 35 g/L total sugars was suitable for 2,3-BDO production in batch culture. Finally, an integrated fermentation and membrane separation process was developed to maintain high 2,3-BDO productivity of 0.46 g·L−1·h−1. Meanwhile, the varied fouling mechanism indicated that the fermentation properties changed significantly, especially for the cell properties. Sn–Sb system solders and ENIG/ENEPIG surface finish layers are commonly used in electronic products. To illustrate the thermal reliability evaluation of such solder joints, we studied the interfacial microstructure and shear properties of Sn-4.5Sb-3.5Bi-0.1Ag/ENIG and Sn-4.5Sb-3.5Bi-0.1Ag/ENEPIG solder joints after aging at 150 °C for 250, 500 and 1000 h. The results show that the intermetallic compound of Sn-4.5Sb-3.5Bi-0.1Ag/ENIG interface was more continuous and uniform compared with that of Sn-4.5Sb-3.5Bi-0.1Ag/ENEPIG interface after reflow. The thickness of the interfacial intermetallic compounds of the former was significantly thinner than that of the latter before and after aging. With extension of aging time, the former interface was stable, while obvious voids appeared at the interface of the latter after 500 h aging and significant fracture occurred after 1000 h aging. The shear tests proved that shear strength of solder joints decreased with increasing aging time. For the Sn-4.5Sb-3.5Bi-0.1Ag/ENEPIG joint after 1000 h aging, the fracture mode is ductile-brittle mixed type, which means fracture could occur at the solder matrix or the solder/IMC interface. For other samples of these two types of joints, ductile fracture occurred inside of the solder. Single-frequency (SF) receivers are much cheaper than that of dual-frequency (DF). Even though DF precise point positioning (PPP) is nowadays applied in the time community, the cost of equipment is one of the key considerations for time users. Furthermore, the hardware delay calibration of single-frequency devices is simpler than that of dual-frequency devices. In addition, there is no literature to study real-time SF PPP time transfer. In this contribution, the possibility of time transfer using SF PPP was studied. The Un-combined SF PPP was employed for time transfer with ionospheric-constraint using real-time precise products. In this case, 18 multi-GNSS experiment (MGEX) stations and one time lab station were used to study real-time SF PPP time transfer using GPS, Galileo and BDS-2/3 satellites with 20-day. The results suggested that real-time single-frequency PPP can meet time transfer. the standard deviation (STD) of the clock difference obtained from GPS-only, Galileo-only and BDS-2/3 single-frequency PPP are about (0.51, 0.54, 0.91) ns, respectively. The frequency stability of real-time single-frequency PPP can achieve (1E-12, 1E-13, 1E-13) level at short-term and (1E-13, 1E-13, 1E-14) level at long-term, respectively, for BDS-2/3, Galileo-only and GPS-only based. Soil moisture is an important geophysical parameter for studying terrestrial water and energy cycles. It has been proven that Global Navigation Satellite System Interferometry Reflectometry (GNSS-IR) can be applied to monitor soil moisture. Unlike the Global Positioning System (GPS) that has only medium earth orbit (MEO) satellites, the Beidou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) also has geosynchronous earth orbit (GEO) satellites and inclined geosynchronous satellite orbit (IGSO) satellites. Benefiting from the distribution of three different orbits, the BDS has better coverage in Asia than other satellite systems. Previous retrieval methods that have been confirmed on GPS cannot be directly applied to BDS MEO satellites due to different satellite orbits. The contribution of this study is a proposed multi-satellite soil moisture retrieval method for BDS MEO and IGSO satellites based on signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) observations. The method weakened the influence of environmental differences in different directions by considering satellite repeat period. A 30-day observation experiment was conducted in Fengqiu County, China and was used for verification. The satellite data collected were divided according to the satellite repeat period, and ensured the response data moved in the same direction. The experimental results showed that the BDS IGSO and MEO soil moisture estimation results had good correlations with the in situ soil moisture fluctuations. The BDS MEO B1I estimation results had the best performance; the estimation accuracy in terms of correlation coefficient was 0.9824, root mean square error (RMSE) was 0.0056 cm3cm−3, and mean absolute error (MAE) was 0.0040 cm3cm−3. The estimations of the BDS MEO B1I, MEO B2I, and IGSO B2I performed better than the GPS L1 and L2 estimations. For the BDS IGSO satellites, the B1I signal was more suitable for soil moisture retrieval than the B2I signal; the correlation coefficient was increased by 19.84%, RMSE was decreased by 42.64%, and MAE was decreased by 43.93%. The characteristic analysis of the flux formed by the heliostat in the optical system is the basis in design and optimization of the whole system. In this paper, our research subject is a pilot installation of the point-focus Fresnel system, which is a new optical design between the tower system and the dish system. For the optical system, it is very important to accurately calculate the solar flux density distribution on the receiver plane. Aiming at the case that the focal length of the heliostat is not equal to the distance from the center of the heliostat to the center of the receiver plane, based on the projection, an approximate calculation method is proposed. Using the method to calculate the solar flux density distribution of the point-focus Fresnel system, and the results are compared with that calculated by SolTrace code, it is found that the solar flux density distribution of both is relatively consistent in shape and numerical value, which verifies the accuracy of the method and it can be used for design and optimization of the point-focus Fresnel system. Soil moisture monitoring using Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) multipath signals has gained continuous interests in recent years. However, traditional GNSS-interferometric reflectometry (GNSS-IR) soil moisture retrieval methods generally utilize a single frequency or single satellite, which fail to take full advantage of different and complementary of satellite signals with different frequencies. An improved algorithm for soil moisture retrieval based on principal component analysis (PCA) and entropy method using multi-frequency amplitude and phase offset fusion data was proposed in this research. The performance of the proposed soil moisture retrieval method was evaluated using data recorded by Plate Boundary Observatory (PBO) H2O networks and a self-built site in Henan, China. The results from GPS and BeiDou both showed that the retrieved soil moisture has a stronger correlation with in situ soil moisture, which can better reflect the fluctuation of ground truth measurements. Compared with the traditional method, the retrieval accuracy of the proposed method in terms of root-mean-square error (RMSE) was improved by 50.93%, and the average correlation coefficient were increased by 11.71%. This research proved that the proposed method could effectively improve retrieval accuracy due to the increasing number of frequencies and tracks clustering. In this work, quad-frequency precise point positioning (PPP) time and frequency transfer methods using Galileo E1/E5a/E5b/E5 and BDS-3 B1I/B3I/B1C/B2a observations were proposed with corresponding mathematical models. In addition, the traditional dual-frequency (BDS-3 B1I/B3I and Galileo E1/E5a) ionospheric-free (IF) model was also described and tested for comparison. To assess the proposed method for time transfer, datasets selected from timing labs were utilized and tested. Moreover, the number of Galileo or BDS-3 satellites, pseudorange residuals, positioning accuracy and tropospheric delay at receiver end were all analyzed. The results showed that the proposed quad-frequency BDS-3 or Galileo PPP models could be used to time transfer, due to stability and accuracy identical to that of dual-frequency IF model. Fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) are prebiotics with numerous health benefits. So far, the dissolved oxygen (DO) concentration control strategy for fermentative production of FOS is still unknown. In order to improve FOS production, the effects of DO concentration and fermentation mode on FOS using Aureobasidium pullulans were investigated in this study. The greatest FOS production (123.2 ± 6.2 g/L), with a yield of 61.6% ± 3.0% (g FOS/g sucrose), was obtained in batch culture under high DO concentration. Furthermore, repeated-batch culture revealed that enzyme production and FOS production were not closely associated with cell growth. By keeping the DO concentration above 5% in the repeated-batch culture, a maximum FOS concentration of 548.3 ± 37.4 g/L and yield of 68.6% ± 2.6% (g FOS/g sucrose) were obtained, which were 3.45% and 11.4% times higher than those obtained in the batch culture without DO control, respectively. Additionally, the ratios of 1-fructofuranosyl nystose (GF4) and 1,1,1,1-kestohexose (GF5) were 33.8% and 23.2%, respectively, in the product of repeated-batch culture, but these compounds were not detected in batch culture. Thus, it can be concluded that the DO concentration affects not only the yield of FOS but also the composition of FOS with different degrees of polymerization, which is the key factor in the fermentative production of FOS with a high polymerization degree. Electrical contacts involve complicated electrical, thermal, and mechanical phenomena. Fretting wear as a surface damage mechanism significantly weakens the performance of electrical contact components. In this study, a numerical approach is developed to investigate the electrical-thermal-mechanical-wear coupling behavior of electrical contacts. An electrical contact conductance law is used with the current conservation model to evaluate the electrical behavior. A transient heat transfer model, including the Joule heating behavior and a thermal contact conductance law, is employed to calculate the temperature field. Both contact conductance laws are related to the contact pressure distribution obtained by the contact stress analysis. Based on the predicted contact stress and relative slip on contact surfaces, the energy wear model is used to study the evolution of fretting wear depth and contact surface geometry. The material properties in these models are temperature-dependent. The proposed numerical approach is implemented in a finite element modeling of electrical contacts, which is validated by comparing the predicted and experimental results of the wear scar profile. Rubbers are widely used in various fields as the important sealing materials, such as window seal, door seal, valve, pump seal, etc. The fretting wear behavior of rubbers has an important effect on their sealing performance. This paper presents an experimental study on the fretting wear behavior of rubbers against the steel ball under air conditions (room temperature at 20 ± 2 °C and humidity at 40%). Three kinds of rubbers, including EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer), FPM (fluororubber), and NBR (nitrile–butadiene rubber), are considered in experiments. The sphere-on-flat contact pattern is used as the contact model. The influences of the displacement amplitude, normal force, frequency, and rubber hardness on the fretting wear behavior are discussed in detail. White light profiler and scanning electron microscope (SEM) are used to analyze the wear mechanism of the rubber surface. The fretting wear performances of three rubbers are compared by considering the effect of the displacement amplitude, normal force, frequency, and rubber hardness. This paper discusses an in-depth experimental study on the fretting wear behavior of PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) piezoelectric thin film against a Si3N4 ceramic sphere under air conditions. A fretting wear device with a ball-on-plate contact configuration was applied. The changes of displacement amplitude, normal force, and applied voltage were taken into account. The friction logs were used to determine the contact state of the PVDF thin film during the fretting test. The 3D topography instrument and scanning electron microscope (SEM) were used to measure the details of the surface morphology and wear volume. The test results of PVDF thin films under different normal force, displacement amplitude, and applied voltage are summarized through the collection and analysis of experimental data. The conventional endo–exo synergism model has extensively been supported in literature, which is based on the perception that endoglucanases (EGs) expose or create accessible sites on the cellulose chain to facilitate the action of processive cellobiohydrolases (CBHs). However, there is a lack of information on why some bacterial and fungal CBHs and EGs do not exhibit synergism. Therefore, the present study evaluated and compared the synergistic relationships between cellulases from different microbial sources and provided insights into how different GH families govern synergism. The results showed that CmixA2 (a mixture of TlCel7A and CtCel5A) displayed the highest effect with BaCel5A (degree of synergy for reducing sugars and glucose of 1.47 and 1.41, respectively) in a protein mass ratio of 75–25%. No synergism was detected between CmixB1/B2 (as well as CmixC1/C2) and any of the EGs, and the combinations did not improve the overall cellulose hydrolysis. These findings further support the hypothesis that "not all endo-to exo-cellulase interactions are synergistic", and that the extent of synergism is dependent on the composition of cellulase systems from various sources and their compatibility in the cellulase cocktail. This method of screening for maximal compatibility between exo- and endo-cellulases constitutes a critical step towards the design of improved synergistic cellulose-degrading cocktails for industrial-scale biomass degradation. Previous genetic mapping helped detect a ~7.52 Mb putative genomic region for the pollen fertility trait on peach Chromosome 06 (Chr.06), which was too long for candidate gene characterization. In this study, using the whole-genome re-sequencing data of 201 peach accessions, we performed a genome-wide association study to identify key genes related to peach pollen fertility trait. The significant association peak was detected at Chr.06: 2,116,368 bp, which was in accordance with the previous genetic mapping results, but displayed largely improved precision, allowing for the identification of nine candidate genes. Among these candidates, gene PpABCG26, encoding an ATP-binding cassette G (ABCG) transporter and harboring the most significantly associated SNP (Single Nucleotide Polymorphism) marker in its coding region, was hypothesized to control peach pollen fertility/sterility based on the results of gene function comparison, gene relative expression, and nucleotide sequence analysis. Since its invention in 2009, Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) has attracted great attention because of its low cost, numerous options of efficiency enhancement, ease of manufacturing and high-performance. Within a short span of time, the PSC has already outperformed thin-film and multicrystalline silicon solar cells. A current certified efficiency of 25.2% demonstrates that it has the potential to replace its forerunner generations. However, to commercialize PSCs, some problems need to be addressed. The toxic nature of lead which is the major component of light absorbing layer, and inherited stability issues of fabricated devices are the major hurdles in the industrialization of this technology. Therefore, new researching areas focus on the lead-free metal halide perovskites with analogous optical and photovoltaic performances. Tin being nontoxic and as one of group IV(A) elements, is considered as the most suitable alternate for lead because of their similarities in chemical properties. Efficiencies exceeding 13% have been recorded using Tin halide perovskite based devices. This review summarizes progress made so far in this field, mainly focusing on the stability and photovoltaic performances. Role of different cations and their composition on device performances and stability have been involved and discussed. With a considerable room for enhancement of both efficiency and device stability, different optimized strategies reported so far have also been presented. Apple sugar and acid are the most important traits of apple fruit. Bud sport cultivars can provide abundant research materials for functional gene studies in apple. In this study, using bud sport materials with a rather different sugar and acid flavor, i.e., "Jonathan" and "Sweet Jonathan", we profiled the whole genome variations and transcriptional regulatory network during fruit developmental stages using whole genome sequencing and RNA-sequencing. Variation analysis identified 4,198,955 SNPs, 319,494 InDels, and 32,434 SVs between the two cultivars. In total, 4313 differentially expressed genes among all of the d 44,399 genes expressed were identified between the two cultivars during fruit development, and functional analysis revealed stress response and signal transduction related genes were enriched. Using 24,047 genes with a more variable expression value, we constructed 28 co-expression modules by weighted correlation network analysis. Deciphering of 14 co-expression modules associated with sugar or acid accumulation during fruit development revealed the hub genes associated with sugar and acid metabolism, e.g., MdDSP4, MdINVE, and MdSTP7. Furthermore, exploration of the intra network of the co-expression module indicated the close relationship between sugar and acid metabolism or sugar and stress. Motif-based sequence analysis of the 17 differentially expressed ATP-binding cassette transporter genes and Yeast one-hybrid assay identified and confirmed a transcription factor, MdBPC6, regulating the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter genes and potentially participating in the apple fruit development or stress response. Collectively, all of the results demonstrated the use of parallel bud mutation sequencing and identified hub genes, and inferred regulatory relationships providing new information about apple fruit sugar and acid accumulation or stress response. Several novel spin-dependent bi-functional metasurfaces consisting of different-sized rotary silicon nanobricks have been proposed and numerically investigated based on the Pancharatnam–Berry phase and structural phase simultaneously. Here, a transmission mechanism is strictly deduced, which can avoid crosstalk from the multiplexed bi-functional metasurface. Four kinds of high-efficiency bi-functional devices have been designed successfully at infrared wavelengths, including a spin-dependent bi-functional beam deflector, a spin-dependent bi-functional metalens, a bi-functional metasurface with spin-dependent focusing and deflection function, and a spin-dependent bi-functional vortex phase plate. All of the results demonstrate the superior performances of our designed devices. Our work opens up new doors toward building novel spin-dependent bi-functional metasurfaces, and promotes the development of bi-functional devices and spin-controlled photonics. Effective valorization of lignin is crucial to achieve a sustainable, economic and competitive biorefinery of lignocellulosic biomass. In this work, an integrated process was proposed based on a concentrated phosphoric acid plus hydrogen peroxide (PHP) pretreatment to simultaneously facilitate cellulose digestibility and modify lignin as adsorbent. As a dominant constitutor of PHP pretreatment, H2O2 input and its influence on the overall fractionation/lignin modification performance was thoroughly investigated. Results indicated that wheat straw was fractionated more efficiently by increasing the H2O2 input. H2O2 input had a significant influence on the digestibility of the obtained cellulose-rich fraction whereby almost 100.0% cellulose-glucose conversion can be achieved even with only 0.88% H2O2 input. Besides, the adsorption capacity of lignin on MB was improved (74.3 to 210.1 mg g−1) due to the oxidative-modification in PHP pretreatment with H2O2 inputs. Regression analysis indicated that –COOH groups mainly governed the lignin adsorption (R2 = 0.946), which displayed the considerable adsorption capacities for typical cationic substances. This work shows a promising way to integrate the lignin modification concept into the emerging PHP pretreatment process with the dual goal of both cellulose utilization and lignin valorization. Snow is one of the most critical sources of freshwater, which influences the global water cycle and climate change. However, it is difficult to monitor global snow variations with high spatial–temporal resolution using traditional techniques due to their costly and labor-intensive nature. Nowadays, the Global Positioning System Interferometric Reflectometry (GPS-IR) technique can measure the average snow depth around a GPS antenna using its signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) data. Previous studies focused on the use of GPS data at sites located in flat areas or on very gentle slopes. In this contribution, we propose a strategy called the Tilted Surface Strategy (TSS), which uses the SNR data reflected only from the flat quadrants to estimate the snow depth instead of the conventional strategy, which employs all the SNR data reflected from the whole area around a GPS antenna. Three geodetic GPS sites from the Plate Boundary Observatory (PBO) project were chosen in this experimental study, of which GPS sites p683 and p101 were located on slopes with their gradients up to 18% and the site p025 was located on a flat area. Comparing the snow depths derived with the GPS-IR TSS method with the snow depth results provided with the GPS-PBO, i.e., GPS-IR with the conventional strategy, the Snowpack Telemetry (SNOTEL) network measurements and gridded Snow Data Assimilation System (SNODAS) estimates, it was found that the snow depths derived with the four methods had a good agreement, but the snow depth time series with the GPS-IR TSS method were closer to the SNOTEL measurements and the SNODAS estimates than those with GPS-PBO method. Similar observations were also obtained from the cumulative snowfall time series. Results generally indicated that for those GPS sites located on slopes, the TSS strategy works better. Three typical waste furniture boards (fiberboard, chipboard, and blockboard) were pretreated with phosphoric acid and hydrogen peroxide (PHP). The fractionation process of these feedstocks was attempted in order to harvest the cellulose-rich fraction for enzymatic hydrolysis and bioethanol conversion; further, lignin recovery was also considered in this process. The results indicated that 78.9–91.2% of the cellulose was recovered in the cellulose-rich fraction. The decreased crystallinity, which promoted the water retention capacity and enzyme accessibility, contributed greatly to the excellent hydrolysis performance of the cellulose-rich fraction. Therefore, rather high cellulose–glucose conversions of 83.3–98.0% were achieved by hydrolyzing the pretreated furniture boards, which allowed for harvesting 208–241 g of glucose from 1.0 kg of feedstocks. Correspondingly, 8.1–10.4 g/L of ethanol were obtained after 120 h of simultaneous saccharification and fermentation. The harvested lignin exhibited abundant carboxyl –OH groups (0.61–0.67 mmol g−1). In addition, approximately 15–26 g of harvested oligosaccharides were integrated during PHP pretreatment. It was shown that PHP pretreatment is feasible for these highly recalcitrant biomass board materials, which can diversify the bioproducts used in the integrated biorefinery concept. In order to extend the applications of vortex waves, we propose a water-immersed rectangular horn antenna array for generating underwater vortex waves carrying the orbital angular momentum (OAM). Firstly, a single dielectric-loaded rectangular horn antenna with the central frequency of 2.6 GHz was designed for generating underwater electromagnetic (EM) waves. Due to the supplementing dielectric-loaded waveguide in this single antenna, the problems with difficult sealing and fixation of the feed probe could be solved effectively. The simulation results show that it has a good impedance characteristics (S11 < −10 dB) and reasonable losses (less than 3.5 dB total for two antennas and a coaxial line) from 2.5 GHz to 2.7 GHz. Experiments on the single antenna were also carried out, which agree well with the simulations. Based on the designed single antenna, the water-immersed rectangular horn antenna array was proposed, and the phase gradient from 0~2π was fed to the horn antennas for generating underwater OAM waves. The simulation results demonstrate high fidelity of the generated OAM waves from the intensity and phase distributions. The purity of the generated OAM modes was also investigated and further verifies the high fidelity of the generated OAM waves. Although recent work has shown natural lignin products are promising to fabricate various polymer based functional composites, high-value applications were challenged by their structural complexity and inhomogeneity. This work specially assessed the potential of four technical lignins for cellulose based functional films production. These four technical lignins were obtained by emerging pretreatment systems, i.e., lactic acid-betaine deep eutectic solvent (DES), ethanol organosolv, soda/anthraquinone (Soda/AQ) and the sodium salicylate hydrotrope, and their phenolic substructures were comparatively identified by prevalent 31P NMR technique. The influence of lignin chemical structure on the antioxidant potential and UV-shielding performance of the prepared cellulose/technical lignin composite films were assessed. Results showed severe organosolv and soda/AQ pretreatment produced technical lignins with higher total phenolic hydroxyl groups (3.37 and 3.23 mmol g-1 respectively), which also exhibited higher antioxidant activities. The composite films could effectively block the ultraviolet lights especially for UVB region (ultraviolet B, 280–315 nm) at only 5 wt.% lignin content. The contribution of lignin phenolic substructures to both antioxidant activity and UV-shielding property from high to low was syringyl > guaiacyl > p-hydroxyphenyl phenolic hydroxyl groups. Based on the Monte Carlo (MC) algorithm, we simulate the evolutions of different types of the polarized lights in the broad-band range from visible to infrared in foggy environments. Here, we have constructed two scattering systems to simulate the transmission characteristics of the polarized lights: (1) A monodisperse system based on five types of particles with the sizes of 0.5, 1.0, 2.5, 4, and 5 µm, respectively; (2) a polydisperse system based on scattering particles with a mean value (size) of 2.0 μm. Our simulation results show that linearly polarized light (LPL) and circularly polarized light (CPL) exhibit different advantages in different wavelengths and different scattering systems. The polarization maintenances (PM) of the degree of circular polarizations (DoCPs) are better than those of the degree of linear polarizations (DoLPs) for most incident wavelengths. CPL is not superior to LPL in the strong-absorption wavelengths of 3.0µm, 6.0µm, and long infrared. Here, when the wavelength is closer to the particle sizes in a system, the influence on propagating polarizations will be more obvious. However, the difference in the degree of polarization (DoP) between the resulting CPL and LPL is positive at these points, which means the penetrating ability of CPL is superior to that of LPL in these scattering systems. We have also simulated the extinction efficiency Qext and the scattering index ratio Qratio as functions of both wavelength and particle size for analyzing polarization's transmission characteristics. The fabrication of bionic surfaces resembling hydrophobic plants through micro manufacturing, which creates abundant multi-level micro/nanostructures and elemental variations, has been widely employed to change the surface wettability of metallic materials. Based on the mechanisms for selective permeation of various liquids, it could achieve the function of oil/water separation. Herein, a separation copper membrane fabricated with pulsed laser ablation and modified with graphene oxide (GO) deposition showed a synergetic effect on tunable surface wettability. Micro/nanostructures were generated on the copper substrate membrane through concentric circular scanning, which was followed by hole drilling. Afterwards, charged GO nanosheets were deposited via electrophoresis. The spacing of circular lines, the diameter of the holes and the abundant high-surface-energy hydrophilic oxygen contained in deposited GO amounts could be regulated in the laser processing and deposition, resulting in oleophobicity and hydrophilicity at the same time. The highest contact angle of oil in water of the prepared mesh could reach above 165° with a hole size of 200 µm and a circular line spacing of 100 µm after the laser processing. Water flux and oil-holding capacity, which represent the separation capability of the mesh, were also evaluated. The as-prepared separation mesh also showed great stability under harsh environments. Orbital angular momentum (OAM) beams have attracted great attention owing to their excellent performances in imaging and communication. In this paper, a dual-arm Archimedean spiral antenna (DASA) is proposed to generate multiple OAM states with positive and negative values by feeding at the inner and outer ends, respectively. The topological charge of radiated vortex waves is reconfigurable by tuning the operating frequency. Dual-mode OAM states are generated at different working frequencies (l = ±1 at 3 GHz, l = ±2 at 4 GHz, and l = ±3 at 4.8 GHz). Both the simulation and measurement results demonstrate that OAM beams can be generated effectively by the DASA. In addition, a conical cavity is used to increase the gain of the proposed DASA for more than 5 dBi in comparison to the traditional cylindrical cavity. Furthermore, the qualities of the generated OAM modes by the proposed DASA have been evaluated at different operating frequencies of 3 GHz, 4 GHz, and 4.8 GHz, respectively. The OAM modes purities of l = −1, −2, −3, 1, 2, and 3 are predominate with the proportion of about 81%, 70%, 74%, 78%, 77%, and 75%, respectively. Dielectric nanoresonantors may generate both electric and magnetic Mie resonances with low optical loss, thereby offering highly efficient paths for obtaining integrated optical devices. In this paper, we propose and design an optical filter with a high working efficiency in the mid-infrared (mid-IR) range, based on an all-dielectric metasurface composed of silicon (Si) nanodisk arrays. We numerically demonstrate that, by increasing the diameter of the Si nanodisk, the range of the proposed reflective optical filter could effectively cover a wide range of operation wavelengths, from 3.8 μm to 4.7 μm, with the reflection efficiencies reaching to almost 100%. The electromagnetic eigen-mode decomposition of the silicon nanodisk shows that the proposed optical filter is based on the excitation of the electric dipole resonance. In addition, we demonstrate that the proposed filter has other important advantages of polarization-independence and incident-angle independence, ranging from 0° to 20° at the resonance dip, which can be used in a broad range of applications, such as sensing, imaging, and energy harvesting. Recently, commingling production has been widely used for the development of offshore heavy oil reservoirs with multilayers. However, the differences between layers in terms of reservoir physical properties, oil properties and pressure have always resulted in interlayer interference, which makes it more difficult to evaluate the producing degree of commingled production. Based on the Buckley–Leverett theory, this paper presents two theoretical models, a one-dimensional linear flow model and a planar radial flow model, for water-flooded multilayer reservoirs. Through the models, this paper establishes a dynamic method to evaluate seepage resistance, sweep efficiency and recovery percent and then conducts an analysis with field data. The result indicates the following: (1) the dynamic difference in seepage resistance is an important form of interlayer interference during the commingled production of an offshore multilayer reservoir; (2) the difference between commingled production and separated production is small within a certain range of permeability ratio or viscosity ratio, but separated production should be adopted when the ratio exceeds a certain value. Metasurfaces are capable of tailoring the amplitude, phase, and polarization of incident light to design various polarization devices. Here, we propose a metasurface based on the novel dielectric material gallium nitride (GaN) to realize high-efficiency modulation for both of the orthogonal linear polarizations simultaneously in the visible range. Both modulated transmitted phases of the orthogonal linear polarizations can almost span the whole 2π range by tailoring geometric sizes of the GaN nanobricks, while maintaining high values of transmission (almost all over 90%). At the wavelength of 530 nm, we designed and realized the beam splitter and the focusing lenses successfully. To further prove that our proposed method is suitable for arbitrary orthogonal linear polarization, we also designed a three-dimensional (3D) metalens that can simultaneously focus the X-, Y-, 45°, and 135° linear polarizations on spatially symmetric positions, which can be applied to the linear polarization measurement. The precise separation of rice particles is an important step in rice processing. In this paper, discrete element simulations of the motion of rice particles of different integrity in an indented cylinder separator were carried out using numerical simulation methods. The effects of single factors (cylinder rotation rate, cylinder axial inclination angle, and collection trough inclination angle) on the motion trajectories of particles are investigated and the probability distribution functions of particles are obtained. The statistical method of Kullback-Leibler divergence is used to quantitatively evaluate the differences in the probability distribution functions of the escape angles of particles of different degrees of integrity. The purpose of this paper is to determine the optimum parameters for an indent cylinder separator by understanding the material cylinder separating process from particle scale and to provide a basis for the numerical design of a grain particle cylinder separators.

The imbalance between limited organ supply and huge potential need has hindered the development of organ-graft techniques. In this paper a low-cost hypothermic machine perfusion (HMP) device is designed and implemented to maintain suitable preservation surroundings and extend the survival life of isolated organs. Four necessary elements (the machine perfusion, the physiological parameter monitoring, the thermostatic control and the oxygenation apparatus) involved in this HMP device are introduced. Especially during the thermostatic control process, a modified Bayes estimation, which introduces the concept of improvement factor, is realized to recognize and reduce the possible measurement errors resulting from sensor faults and noise interference. Also, a fuzzy-PID controller contributes to improve the accuracy and reduces the computational load using the DSP.
