P2P power trading is necessary for efficiently using consumer electricity not subject to FIT. However, the execution rules for P2P power trading do not include restrictions on voltage, and there is a trade-off between the activation of the P2P power trading market through the mass introduction of PV and the optimization of the voltage of the power distribution system. In addition, there is a tendency for output curtailment to be biased toward consumers connected to the end of the grid. Since consumers cannot choose the interconnection location, there are concerns about unfairness. In this study, we investigate a new P2P model that includes voltage constraints for the execution rules of P2P power trading to avoid voltage deviation while ensuring benefits and fairness for the participants. In the proposed model, to increase the incentive to participate in the P2P power trading market, we consider compensating consumers who receive output curtailment signals due to voltage constraints. In addition, the profit is secured by differentiating the compensation cost unit price depending on the contract's availability. A case study was conducted on this model using the IEEE 33 bus system. Isotropic TFT characteristics are realized in the {100}-oriented grain-boundary-free 60 nm thick Si film obtained by the continuous-wave laser lateral crystallization, where the grain- and sub-boundaries are defined as the crystallographic boundaries having misfit angles of θ > 15° and θ < 15°, respectively. Sub-boundaries are observed in the film parallel to the scan directions; the misfit angles were 5–10° and the sub-boundary density was 0.02956 μm−1. Sub-grains, joined by the sub-boundaries, have widths of 8 ~ 69 μm. The cumulative distributions of mobility, threshold voltage, and subthreshold swing agree well between the parallel and perpendicular TFTs in the film, where parallel or perpendicular means the source-to-drain directions to the laser scan direction. The maximum mobilities of the parallel and perpendicular TFTs are 695 and 663 cm2/Vs, respectively. The trap-state density NT in the sub-boundaries estimated from the product of the bond efficiency η and the dangling bond density decreases by two decades from those of the grain boundaries. A new carrier transport model of the current flow across the sub-boundary is proposed instead of the thermionic emission model for the grain boundaries. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

(1) Background: To solve the blockchain scaling issue, sharding has been proposed; however, this approach has its own scaling issue: the cross-shard communication method. To resolve the cross-shard communication scaling issue, rollups have been proposed and are being investigated. However, they also have their own scaling limitations, in particular, the degree of compression they can apply to transactions (TXs) affecting how many TXs can be included in one block. (2) Methods: In this paper, we propose a series of novel data structures for the compiling of cross-shard TXs sent using rollups for both public and private Ethereum. Our proposal removes redundant fields, consolidates repeated fields, and compresses any remaining fields in the rollup, modifying its data structure to compress the address, gas, and value fields. (3) Results: We have shown that our proposals can accommodate more cross-shard TXs in a block by reducing the TX size by up to 65% and 97.6% compared to the state-of-the-art in public and private Ethereum, respectively. This compression in TX size results in an over 2× increase in transactions per block (TPB) for our proposals targeting both types of Ethereum. (4) Conclusions: Our proposals will mitigate the scaling issue in a sharded blockchain that utilizes rollups for cross-shard communication. Tethers (strings and wires) are used in various mechanical systems because they are lightweight and have excellent storability. Examples of such systems include elevators and cranes. In recent years, the use of tethers in special environments, such as outer space, is expected, and various systems have been proposed. In this study, we propose a mobility system using a tether that moves a human by winding a tether attached to a wall. However, the method has a problem whereby the attitude of the human can lack stability during the winding of the tether. We developed the attitude control method of the Tether Space Mobility Device during tether winding while focusing on fluctuations in the rotational kinetic energy of systems. The effectiveness of the control method was shown using numerical simulation. In this paper, the proposed control system is installed in the experimental device for validating the numerical simulation model. Then, we verified the effectiveness of the proposed control method through experiments using an actual system. The experimental results confirm that the angular velocity of the Tether Space Mobility Device converges to 0 deg/s when control is applied.
