Intelligent vehicle trajectory tracking exhibits problems such as low adaptability, low tracking accuracy, and poor robustness in complex driving environments with uncertain road conditions. Therefore, an improved method of adaptive model predictive control (AMPC) for trajectory tracking was designed in this study to increase the corresponding tracking accuracy and driving stability of intelligent vehicles under uncertain and complex working conditions. First, based on the unscented Kalman filter, longitudinal speed, yaw speed, and lateral acceleration were considered as the observed variables of the measurement equation to estimate the lateral force of the front and rear tires accurately in real time. Subsequently, an adaptive correction estimation strategy for tire cornering stiffness was designed, an AMPC method was established, and a dynamic prediction time-domain adaptive model was constructed for optimization according to vehicle speed and road adhesion conditions. The improved AMPC method for trajectory tracking was then realized. Finally, the control effectiveness and trajectory tracking accuracy of the proposed AMPC technique were verified via co-simulation using CarSim and MATLAB/Simulink. From the results, a low lateral position error and heading angle error in trajectory tracking were obtained under different vehicle driving conditions and road adhesion conditions, producing high trajectory-tracking control accuracy. To mitigate the effect of CO2 on climate change, significant efforts have been made in the past few decades to capture CO2, which can then be further sequestered or converted into value-added compounds, such as methanol and hydrocarbons, by using thermochemical or electrocatalytic processes. However, CO2 capture and conversion have primarily been studied independently, resulting in individual processes that are highly energy-intensive and less economically viable due to high capital and operation costs. To enhance the overall process efficiency, integrating CO2 capture and conversion into a single system offers an opportunity for a more streamlined process that can reduce energy and capital costs. This strategy can be achieved by employing dual function materials (DFMs), which possess the unique capability to simultaneously adsorb and convert CO2. These materials combine basic metal oxides with active metal catalytic sites that enable both sorption and conversion functions. In this review paper, we focus on the recent strategies that utilize mixed metal oxides as DFMs. Their material design and characteristics, reaction mechanisms, as well as performance and limitations will be discussed. The thrust from corona discharge might be a promising propulsion technology in future aviation due to its advantage of not requiring mechanical moving parts. Although the thrust from corona discharge has been researched by many scholars, the effect of the applied voltage's polarity on the thrust has received little attention. This polarity effect might be very important for some special electrohydrodynamic thrusters. This paper firstly built a test platform to reveal the effect of the applied voltage's polarity on both the thrust and the corona current from a pair of symmetrically distributed needle electrodes. Then the applied voltage's polarity on the electrical field distribution between a pair of needle-plate electrodes was simulated. Finally, the relationship between the space ions at the tip of the needle electrode and the thrust are discussed. The results show that a negative needle electrode with a smaller curvature radius has a stronger thrust than a positive one with a larger curvature radius, and a stronger thrust corresponds to a higher corona current. The local electric field is enhanced by the space ions at the tip of a negative needle electrode, while it is weakened by a positive needle electrode. This results in the polarity of thrust. Bacterial infection is currently considered to be one of the major reasons that leads to the failure of guided bone regeneration (GBR) therapy. Under the normal condition, the pH is neutral, while the microenvironment will become acid at the sites of infection. Here, we present an asymmetric microfluidic/chitosan device that can achieve pH-responsive drug release to treat bacterial infection and promote osteoblast proliferation at the same time. On-demand release of minocycline relies on a pH-sensitive hydrogel actuator, which swells significantly when exposed to the acid pH of an infected region. The PDMAEMA hydrogel had pronounced pH-sensitive properties, and a large volume transition occurred at pH 5 and 6. Over 12 h, the device enabled minocycline solution flowrates of 0.51–1.63 µg/h and 0.44–1.13 µg/h at pH 5 and 6, respectively. The asymmetric microfluidic/chitosan device exhibited excellent capabilities for inhibiting Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus mutans growth within 24 h. It had no negative effect on proliferation and morphology of L929 fibroblasts and MC3T3-E1 osteoblasts, which indicates good cytocompatibility. To study the creep and property degradation behavior of adhesive joints under the coupling action of temperature, humidity and load, polyurethane shear joints were prepared and tested. Different static loads were applied to joints at high temperature (80 °C) and high temperature and humidity (80 °C/95% RH) to test and analyze the creep deformation, and a suitable creep model was established. At the same time, the performance degradation test of the joints under the effect of multifactor coupling was carried out to obtain the variation law of the failure load, and the failure mechanism was discussed based on the failure section. The research shows that the creep strain of the joint at high temperature and humidity was significantly larger than that at high temperature, and the failure fracture time was shorter, in which water molecules played a role of softening and hydrolysis. The viscoelastic multi-integral creep model was used to analyze and predict the creep behavior of the joints. It was found that the creep model could better describe the creep behavior of the joints under uniaxial constant loading. Under the coupling effect of temperature, humidity and load, the failure load decreased with time, and with the increase in static load, the decline range and rate of failure load increased. It was found that the mechanical properties in the high temperature and humidity environment decreased significantly more than those in the high temperature environment. When a static load was applied during creep, cracks easily occurred inside the adhesive layer, and water molecules easily diffused inside the cracks, which increased the decay rate of the mechanical properties. Clean electricity is generated by the anaerobic digestion of biomass waste. The environmental impacts of various biomass waste feedstocks vary, while co-digestion has been reported to improve anaerobic digestion performance. A consequential life-cycle assessment (LCA) and techno-economic analysis (TEA) are carried out for cow manure waste management for a cow farm. Three scenarios are considered in this study: (S1) mono-digestion of cow manure, (S2) co-digestion of cow manure and maize silage, and (S3) co-digestion of cow manure with cow feed waste, sewage sludge, and returned dairy products. The LCA aims to quantify the environmental impact of each MWh of electricity generated, assuming the plant is located in Malaysia, using OpenLCA software. The TEA economic parameters are quantified and compared between the three scenarios. Net present value (NPV), Internal Return Rate (IRR), and Return of Investment (ROI) are examined. Among the three scenarios, S2 with maize cultivation has a higher environmental impact due to its higher energy requirements. With the integration of closed digestate storage and renewable energy-powered electricity, S3 has the best environmental performance in global warming, eutrophication and acidification. S3 is found to be most economically viable, with MYR 1.28 million NPV, 14% IRR, and 15% ROI, and a Payback Period of 6.56 years with an OPEX of MYR 3491.82/MWh. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In a compressor, the periodic wake is an inherently unsteady phenomenon that affects the downstream flow conditions and loading distribution. Thus, understanding the physical mechanisms of these unsteady effects is important for eliminating flow losses and improving compressor performance, particularly at low Reynolds numbers. To understand the influence of the upstream wake on the downstream flow field structure, this paper describes numerical simulations of a one-stage high-pressure compressor at altitudes of 10–20 km. The influence of the wake on rotor flow blockage at different Reynolds numbers is analyzed, and the unsteady interaction between the upstream wake and boundary layer or tip leakage flow is discussed. The results indicate that the wake has a beneficial effect on the efficiency of the rotor at high Reynolds numbers, but this weakens and becomes negative as the Reynolds number decreases. The wake can reduce the flow blockage in the mainflow region. Due to the wake, the length of the laminar separation bubble at high Reynolds numbers decreases and that at low Reynolds numbers increases. In addition, the unsteadiness of the wake causes separation bubbles to appear periodically at high Reynolds numbers and induces an open separation bubble at low Reynolds numbers. The Kelvin–Helmholtz instability can dominate the transition process of the boundary layer, which is also affected by the disturbance vortex induced by the wake. Regarding the tip leakage flow, the wake can reduce the flow blockage at high Reynolds numbers but increase the flow blockage at low Reynolds numbers. The interaction at low Reynolds numbers causes a double-leakage flow, which finally leads to the large-scale separation of the suction surface boundary layer. The large-scale separation causes flow blockage in the tip region and prevents the rotor wake from propagating downstream. On the contrary, the unsteady wake can pass through the tip clearance vortex and inhibit the separation of the suction boundary layer at high Reynolds numbers, which is reflected in a larger amplitude of one blade passage frequency. Simple Summary: Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) and other salivary gland cancers (SGC) are rare conditions with limited treatment options when they recur or spread to other parts of the body. There is increasing interest in the interaction of radioactive labeled proteins 68Gallium- Prostate Specific Membrane Antigen (68Ga-PSMA) with their corresponding receptors on tumor cells (PSMA receptor) which can be detected on scans. This innovation has created diagnostic and therapeutic progress in management of metastatic prostate cancer. These interactions are also found in SGCs though studies are currently limited. Our systematic review aims to collate available published scientific information on this technology to better inform its potential use, pitfalls and its future directions as a diagnostic and therapeutic option in SGCs. We concluded that the 68Ga-PSMA scans can be useful in detecting ACC and SGC not detected on standard radioimaging and that small studies have shown the therapeutic potential of this innovation in advanced or metastatic ACC and SGC. Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) and other salivary gland cancers (SGCs) are rare tumors where application of prostate specific membrane antigen (PSMA) positron emission tomography (PET) and PSMA radioligand therapy have yet to be studied extensively. This review explores the role of PSMA PET imaging and therapy as a theranostic tool for ACC and other SGCs based on current literature. A comprehensive literature search on PubMed and Embase was performed. All relevant studies containing information on PSMA PET imaging in ACC and SGC were included. Ten studies (one prospective, three retrospective, five case reports and one review paper) were included. For ACC, the mean maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax) for local recurrence and distant metastases ranged from 2.41 to 13.8 and 2.04 to 14.9, respectively. In SGC, the meanSUVmax ranged from 1.2–12.50. Most studies observed PSMA expression positivity on immunohistochemistry (IHC) when there was PSMA PET uptake. PSMA PET was able to detect lesions not detected on standard imaging. Despite the small number of studies and wide intra-patient and inter-tumor variation of PSMA uptake in ACC and SGC, 68Gallium (68Ga)-PSMA PET has promising prospects as a diagnostic and radioligand therapeutic option. In this paper, we study the event-triggered integral sliding mode optimal tracking problem of nonlinear systems with matched and unmatched disturbances. The goal is to design an adaptive dynamic programming-based sliding-mode controller, which stabilizes the closed-loop system and guarantees the optimal performance of the sliding-mode dynamics. First, in order to remove the effects of the matched uncertainties, an event-triggered sliding mode controller is designed to force the state of the systems on the sliding mode surface without Zeno behavior. Second, another event-triggered controller is designed to suppress unmatched disturbances with a nearly optimal performance while also guaranteeing Zeno-free behavior. One of the most important challenges for heterogeneous wireless sensor networks (HWSNs) is adequate network coverage and connectivity. Aiming at this problem, this paper proposes an improved wild horse optimizer algorithm (IWHO). Firstly, the population's variety is increased by using the SPM chaotic mapping at initialization; secondly, the WHO and Golden Sine Algorithm (Golden-SA) are hybridized to improve the WHO's accuracy and arrive at faster convergence; Thirdly, the IWHO can escape from a local optimum and broaden the search space by using opposition-based learning and the Cauchy variation strategy. The results indicate that the IWHO has the best capacity for optimization by contrasting the simulation tests with seven algorithms on 23 test functions. Finally, three sets of coverage optimization experiments in different simulated environments are designed to test the effectiveness of this algorithm. The validation results demonstrate that the IWHO can achieve better and more effective sensor connectivity and coverage ratio compared to that of several algorithms. Polyurethane adhesive and aluminum alloy were selected to make adhesive joints. Butt joints tested at different loading angles (0°, 45°, and 90°) using a modified Arcan fixture were selected to represent three stress states (normal stress, normal/shear combined stress, and shear stress, respectively). Firstly, the accelerated aging tests were carried out on the joints in a hygrothermal environment (80 °C/95% RH). The quasi-static tests were carried out at different temperatures (−40 °C, 20 °C, and 80 °C) for the joints after hygrothermal aging for different periods. The variation rules of the joints' mechanical properties and failure modes with different aging levels were studied. The results show that the failure load of the joints was obviously affected by stress state and temperature. In the low-temperature test, the failure load of the joints decreased most obviously, and the BJ was the most sensitive to temperature, indicating that the failure load decreased more with the increase of the normal stress ratio in the joint. Through macroscopic and SEM analysis of the failure section, it was found that the hydrolysis reaction of polyurethane adhesive itself and the interface failure of the joints were the main reasons for the decrease of joint strength. Simple Summary: We reviewed the evidence available for postponing or delaying cancer surgery for localised prostate cancer. Watchful waiting is an acceptable option in low-risk patients. Evidence is uncertain in postponing surgery, but conservative estimates suggest delays of over 5 months, 4 months, and 30 days for low-, intermediate-, and high-risk patients, respectively, can lead to worse survival outcomes. Neoadjuvant therapy can shrink the tumours prior to surgery and can be a useful adjunct in delaying surgery for, at the most, 3 months. External factors, such as the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), can lead to cancellations and backlogs of cancer surgeries. The effects of these delays are unclear. This study summarised the evidence surrounding expectant management, delay radical prostatectomy (RP), and neoadjuvant hormone therapy (NHT) compared to immediate RP. MEDLINE and EMBASE was searched for randomised controlled trials (RCTs) and non-randomised controlled studies pertaining to the review question. Risks of biases (RoB) were evaluated using the RoB 2.0 tool and the Newcastle–Ottawa Scale. A total of 57 studies were included. Meta-analysis of four RCTs found overall survival and cancer-specific survival were significantly worsened amongst intermediate-risk patients undergoing active monitoring, observation, or watchful waiting but not in low- and high-risk patients. Evidence from 33 observational studies comparing delayed RP and immediate RP is contradictory. However, conservative estimates of delays over 5 months, 4 months, and 30 days for low-risk, intermediate-risk, and high-risk patients, respectively, have been associated with significantly worse pathological and oncological outcomes in individual studies. Electrokinetic mining (EKM) is a novel method for rare earth element (REE) mining that can achieve green and efficient recovery of REEs. However, as yet, there is no accurate model for describing the electrokinetic transport of REEs in weathering crusts, and this hinders the wider application of EKM. The conventional model fails to capture the microscale transport physics occurring in the nanochannels that exist ubiquitously in weathering crusts. Consequently, the existing models cannot distinguish the mobilities of different REEs. Here, we report a new model for a more faithful description of the electrokinetic transport of REEs in weathering crusts that considers the ionic size, which has previously been neglected. We reveal that the electrokinetic transport of heavy REEs (HREEs) is faster than that of light REEs (LREEs) in weathering crusts, which is contrary to the predictions of conventional models. Our model was validated experimentally by measurements of the electrokinetic transport of two LREEs (La and Sm) and an HREE (Er) in weathering crusts. The speed of electrokinetic transport follows the order Er > Sm > La. Our findings suggest that the ionic size is a non-negligible factor affecting the electrokinetic transport of REEs in weathering crusts containing nanochannels. This work offers a constitutive model to describe the electrokinetic transport of REEs in weathering crusts, which promotes both theoretical developments and practical applications of EKM. This study analyzed the differences in ozone (O3) sensitivity in four different urban areas in China from February 2019 to January 2020 based on data on various near-surface pollutants from passive multi-axis differential optical absorption spectroscopy (MAX-DOAS) sites and nearby China National Environmental Monitoring Center (CNEMC) sites. Across the four cities, the nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and formaldehyde (HCHO) concentrations varied seasonally. Xianghe consistently displayed the lowest NO2 levels, suggesting reduced emissions compared to other cities. Guangzhou, a city with a robust economy and a high level of vehicle ownership, exhibited higher concentrations in spring. Summer brought elevated HCHO levels in Guangzhou, Xianghe, and Shenyang due to intensified photochemical processes. Autumn and winter showed higher HCHO concentrations in Guangzhou and Xianghe compared to Lanzhou and Shenyang. Overall, Guangzhou recorded the highest annual averages, due to its developed economy, while Xianghe's lower NO2 levels were offset by the elevated HCHO due to higher O3 values. The analysis delved into primary and secondary HCHO sources across seasons and used carbon monoxide (CO) and O3 data. Xianghe showcased the dominance of secondary sources in summer and autumn, while Lanzhou was characterized by primary dominance throughout the year. Shenyang mirrored Xianghe's evolution due to industrial emissions. In Guangzhou, due to the high levels of vehicular traffic and sunlight conditions, secondary sources predominantly influenced HCHO concentrations. These findings highlight the interplay between primary and secondary emissions in diverse urban settings. This study explored O3 sensitivity variations across seasons. Xianghe exhibited a balanced distribution among volatile organic compound (VOC)-limited conditions, nitrogen oxide (NOx)-limited conditions, and transitional influences. Lanzhou was mainly affected by VOC-limited conditions in winter and NOx-limited conditions in other seasons. Shenyang's sensitivity varied with the seasons and was primarily influenced by transitions between VOCs and NOx in autumn and NOx-limited conditions otherwise. Guangzhou experienced varied influences. During periods of high O3 pollution, all regions were affected by NOx-limited conditions, indicating the necessity of NOx monitoring in these areas, especially during summer in all regions and during autumn in Xianghe and Guangzhou. The existing deep-learning-based hyperspectral anomaly detection methods detect anomalies by reconstructing a clean background. However, these methods model the background of the hyperspectral image (HSI) through global features, neglecting local features. In complex background scenarios, these methods struggle to obtain accurate background priors for training constraints, thereby limiting the anomaly detection performance. To enhance the capability of the network in extracting local features and improve anomaly detection performance, a hyperspectral anomaly detection method based on differential network is proposed. First, we posit that anomalous pixels are challenging to be reconstructed through the features of surrounding pixels. A differential convolution method is introduced to extract local punctured neighborhood features in the HSI. The differential convolution contains two types of kernels with different receptive fields. These kernels are adopted to obtain the outer window features and inner window features. Second, to improve the feature extraction capability of the network, a local detail attention and a local Transformer attention are proposed. These attention modules enhance the inner window features. Third, the obtained inner window features are subtracted from the outer window features to derive differential features, which encapsulate local punctured neighborhood characteristics. The obtained differential features are employed to reconstruct the background of the HSI. Finally, the anomaly detection results are extracted from the difference between the input HSI and the reconstructed background of the HSI. In the proposed method, for each receptive field kernel, the optimization objective is to reconstruct the input HSI rather than the background HSI. This way circumvents problems where the background constraint biases might affect detection performance. The proposed method offers researchers a new and effective approach for applying deep learning in a local area to the field of hyperspectral anomaly detection. Daily activities expose muscles to innumerable impacts, causing accumulated tissue damage and inflammation that impairs muscle recovery and function, yet the mechanism modulating the inflammatory response in muscles remains unclear. Our study suggests that Forkhead box A2 (FoxA2), a pioneer transcription factor, has a predominant role in the inflammatory response during skeletal muscle injury. FoxA2 expression in skeletal muscle is upregulated by fatty acids and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPARs) but is refractory to insulin and glucocorticoids. Using PPARβ/δ agonist GW501516 upregulates FoxA2, which in turn, attenuates the production of proinflammatory cytokines and reduces the infiltration of CD45+ immune cells in two mouse models of muscle inflammation, systemic LPS and intramuscular injection of carrageenan, which mimic localized exercise-induced inflammation. This reduced local inflammatory response limits tissue damage and restores muscle tetanic contraction. In line with these results, a deficiency in either PPARβ/δ or FoxA2 diminishes the action of the PPARβ/δ agonist GW501516 to suppress an aggravated inflammatory response. Our study suggests that FoxA2 in skeletal muscle helps maintain homeostasis, acting as a gatekeeper to maintain key inflammation parameters at the desired level upon injury. Therefore, it is conceivable that certain myositis disorders or other forms of painful musculoskeletal diseases may benefit from approaches that increase FoxA2 activity in skeletal muscle. Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPARs) are nuclear receptors that govern the expression of genes responsible for energy metabolism, cellular development, and differentiation. Their crucial biological roles dictate the significance of PPAR-targeting synthetic ligands in medical research and drug discovery. Clinical implications of PPAR agonists span across a wide range of health conditions, including metabolic diseases, chronic inflammatory diseases, infections, autoimmune diseases, neurological and psychiatric disorders, and malignancies. In this review we aim to consolidate existing clinical evidence of PPAR modulators, highlighting their clinical prospects and challenges. Findings from clinical trials revealed that different agonists of the same PPAR subtype could present different safety profiles and clinical outcomes in a disease-dependent manner. Pemafibrate, due to its high selectivity, is likely to replace other PPARα agonists for dyslipidemia and cardiovascular diseases. PPARγ agonist pioglitazone showed tremendous promises in many non-metabolic disorders like chronic kidney disease, depression, inflammation, and autoimmune diseases. The clinical niche of PPARβ/δ agonists is less well-explored. Interestingly, dual- or pan-PPAR agonists, namely chiglitazar, saroglitazar, elafibranor, and lanifibranor, are gaining momentum with their optimistic outcomes in many diseases including type 2 diabetes, dyslipidemia, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and primary biliary cholangitis. Notably, the preclinical and clinical development for PPAR antagonists remains unacceptably deficient. We anticipate the future design of better PPAR modulators with minimal off-target effects, high selectivity, superior bioavailability, and pharmacokinetics. In this study, we report the complete mitochondrial genome of Harpalus sinicus (occasionally named as the Chinese ground beetle) which is the first mitochondrial genome for Harpalus. The mitogenome is 16,521 bp in length, comprising 37 genes, and a control region. The A + T content of the mitogenome is as high as 80.6%. A mitochondrial origins of light-strand replication (OL)-like region is found firstly in the insect mitogenome, which can form a stem-loop hairpin structure. Thirteen protein-coding genes (PCGs) share high homology, and all of them are under purifying selection. All tRNA genes (tRNAs) can be folded into the classic cloverleaf secondary structures except tRNA-Ser (GCU), which lacks a dihydrouridine (DHU) stem. The secondary structure of two ribosomal RNA genes (rRNAs) is predicted based on previous insect models. Twelve types of tandem repeats and two stem-loop structures are detected in the control region, and two stem-loop structures may be involved in the initiation of replication and transcription. Additionally, phylogenetic analyses based on mitogenomes suggest that Harpalus is an independent lineage in Carabidae, and is closely related to four genera (Abax, Amara, Stomis, and Pterostichus). This paper explores the effects of climate change on the wind energy input (WEI) to the surface waves (SWs) in the northern Indian Ocean (NIO), a region with great potential for green renewable energy from waves and wind. We used the newly developed Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 (CMIP6) model data to predict the spatiotemporal variations of the WEI to the SW. We found that, under the global warming scenario, the WEI to the SWs decreased significantly in most of the NIO, and it will drop by 18% to 27% in the central and southern regions by the end of the 21st century under the SSP5–8.5 scenario. However, the WEI to the SWs increased in the Red Sea, Persian Gulf, northwestern Arabian Sea, and northern Bay of Bengal, with the largest increase in the Persian Gulf region (up to 27%). We also examined the interannual and interdecadal variability characteristics of the WEI to the SW after the accumulation of the whole study region and found that it showed a long-term increasing trend only under the SSP1–2.6 scenario, while it showed a significant decreasing trend under the SSP2–4.5 and SSP5–8.5 scenarios. For the sake of solving sustainability issues and analyzing the complicated service force states, eccentric compression experiments on self-compacting concrete-filled thin-walled medium-length steel tube columns with a circular cross-section were carried out in the present study. Thereafter, the influence of the eccentric ratios and the wall thickness factors on the mechanical behavior and failure characteristics of both the eccentrically loaded and axially loaded columns was comprehensively analyzed. Finally, prediction formulas for the ultimate load of the columns under eccentric compression were proposed, and a comprehensive comparison of the ultimate loads between the predicted values and experimental values was also conducted. The results indicated that the typical failure characteristics of the eccentrically loaded columns presented lateral deflection together with buckling, while the axially compressed columns displayed expansion and rupture at local positions. Moreover, the ultimate loads of the eccentrically loaded columns decreased by 43.0% and 34.5% in comparison to the columns under axial compression, with the wall thickness factor decreasing from 116.7 to 46.7, respectively. Meanwhile, the ratios of the ultimate loads calculated using design codes to the tested values were in the range of 0.70~0.90, which demonstrated that the design codes could predict the ultimate loads conservatively. Additionally, the ratios of the ultimate loads calculated using the proposed formulas to the tested values were within the range of 0.99~1.08, implying that the proposed formulas were more accurate than the design codes. At the same time, the initial stiffness of the columns under eccentric compression was correspondingly lower than that of the columns undergoing axial compression. The lateral deflections along the height of the columns were almost symmetrical at different loading levels. At present, passive NOx adsorbers (PNAs) represent one of the most effective technologies for addressing NOx emissions from diesel engines during cold-start periods. Conventional PNAs, which primarily consist of noble metals (such as Pt, Pd, and Ag) loaded on metal oxides or zeolites, share the common drawback of high production costs. Consequently, developing low-cost PNAs with outstanding NOx storage performance remains a significant challenge. In this study, a series of CuxBa5Ce adsorbents were synthesized using the impregnation method, and a monolithic adsorbent was employed to evaluate NOx storage and release performance. Techniques such as XRD, UV-Vis DRs, H2-TPR, XPS, and in situ DRIFTs confirmed the crucial roles of Cu and Ba in NOx storage and release. Specifically, the incorporation of Cu into CeO2 enhanced NOx storage performance. Moreover, in the Cu3Ba5Ce adsorbent, the addition of Ba not only introduced new storage sites and altered the stability of NOx adsorption species but also helped prevent the aggregation of CuO, thereby prolonging the complete NOx storage duration and satisfying desorption temperature requirements. The Cu3Ba5Ce adsorbent exhibited the most favorable NOx storage performance, including a complete NOx storage time of 135 s and a NOx storage efficiency exceeding 50% at 80 °C over a 10 min period. While PNAs loaded with noble metals, such as Pd/CeO2 and Pt/CeO2, exhibited NOx storage efficiencies below 50% after adsorbing for 5 min at 80 °C. This study is the first to propose the deployment of direct air capture (DAC) systems at large airports to provide solutions for achieving carbon neutrality in aviation transportation. Here, an estimating model for carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions in the landing and take-off (LTO) phase of large airports was developed, and the suitability of deploying DAC systems at airports was evaluated by the analytic hierarchy process (AHP). This study found that the annual CO2 emissions of 52 large airports in the LTO phase are about 23 Mt, accounting for about 23% of the total CO2 emissions of civil aviation in China. The four dimensions of airport transportation conditions, meteorological conditions, space resources, and security levels had a decreasing impact on the deployment of DAC systems in that order. The airports with suitable DAC systems are mainly located in the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta, and the Chengdu-Chongqing Airport Cluster. This study provides a theoretical basis for the deployment of DAC systems at airports, which provides new CO2 emission reduction solutions for the aviation transportation industry. Traditional image fusion techniques generally use symmetrical methods to extract features from different sources of images. However, these conventional approaches do not resolve the information domain discrepancy from multiple sources, resulting in the incompleteness of fusion. To solve the problem, we propose an asymmetric decomposition method. Firstly, an information abundance discrimination method is used to sort images into detailed and coarse categories. Then, different decomposition methods are proposed to extract features at different scales. Next, different fusion strategies are adopted for different scale features, including sum fusion, variance-based transformation, integrated fusion, and energy-based fusion. Finally, the fusion result is obtained through summation, retaining vital features from both images. Eight fusion metrics and two datasets containing registered visible, ISAR, and infrared images were adopted to evaluate the performance of the proposed method. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed asymmetric decomposition method could preserve more details than the symmetric one, and performed better in both objective and subjective evaluations compared with the fifteen state-of-the-art fusion methods. These findings can inspire researchers to consider a new asymmetric fusion framework that can adapt to the differences in information richness of the images, and promote the development of fusion technology. The Knotted1-like Homeobox gene is crucial for plant morphological development and growth. Physicochemical characteristics, phylogenetic relationships, chromosomal localization, cis-acting elements, and tissue-specific expression patterns of the 11 PmKNOX genes found in the Japanese apricot genome in this study were examined. Proteins of 11 PmKNOX were soluble proteins with isoelectric points between 4.29 and 6.53, molecular masses between 15.732 and 44.011 kDa, and amino acid counts between 140 and 430. The identified PmKNOX gene family was split into three subfamilies by jointly constructing the phylogenetic tree of KNOX proteins in Japanese apricot and Arabidopsis thaliana. Combined outcomes of the analyzed conserved motifs and gene structures of the 11 PmKNOX genes from the same subfamily displayed comparable gene structure and motif patterns. The 11 PmKNOX members were distributed across six chromosomes, while two sets of PmKNOX genes were found to be collinear. Analysis of the 2000 bp promoter upstream of the coding region of the PmKNOX gene revealed that most PmKNOX genes might be involved in the physiological metabolism, growth and development processes of plants. The PmKNOX gene expression profile revealed that these genes were expressed at varying levels in different tissues, and most of them were linked to the meristems of leaf and flower buds, suggesting that PmKNOX may be involved in plants' apical meristems. In Arabidopsis thaliana, functional validation of PmKNAT2a and PmKNAT2b revealed that these two genes might be involved in regulating leaf and stem development. In addition to laying the groundwork for future research on the function of these genes, understanding the evolutionary relationships between members of the PmKNOX gene family provides opportunities for future breeding in Japanese apricots. Complex optimization (CO) problems have been solved using swarm intelligence (SI) methods. One of the CO problems is the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) coverage optimization problem, which plays an important role in Internet of Things (IoT). A novel hybrid algorithm is proposed, named hybrid particle swarm butterfly algorithm (HPSBA), by combining their strengths of particle swarm optimization (PSO) and butterfly optimization algorithm (BOA), for solving this problem. Significantly, the value of individual scent intensity should be non-negative without consideration of the basic BOA, which is calculated with absolute value of the proposed HPSBA. Moreover, the performance of the HPSBA is comprehensively compared with the fundamental BOA, numerous potential BOA variants, and tried-and-true algorithms, for solving the twenty-six commonly used benchmark functions. The results show that HPSBA has a competitive overall performance. Finally, when compared to PSO, BOA, and MBOA, HPSBA is used to solve the node coverage optimization problem in WSN. Non-essential proteins for viral replication affect host cell metabolism, while the function of the UL43 protein of herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV-1) is not clear. Herein, we performed a comprehensive microarray analysis of HUVEC cells infected with HSV-1 and its UL43-deficient mutant and found significant variation in genes associated with cellular energy metabolic pathways. The localization of UL43 protein in host cells and how it affects cellular energy metabolism pathways were further investigated. Internalization analysis showed that the UL43 protein could be endocytosis-mediated by YPLF motif (aa144–147) and localized to mitochondria. At the same time, more ATP was produced by coupling with mitochondrial small G protein ARF-like 2 (ARL2) GTPase, which triggered the phosphorylation of ANT1 (SLC25A4) to affect the opening degree of mitochondrial permeability transition pore (mPTP), and significantly promoted the aerobic oxidation and oxidative phosphorylation of glucose. Our study shows that UL43 mediates the improvement of host cell metabolism after HSV-1 infection. Additionally, UL43 protein could be a valuable ATP-stimulating factor for mammalian cells. Road extraction from remote sensing images is significant for urban planning, intelligent transportation, and vehicle navigation. However, it is challenging to automatically extract roads from remote sensing images because the scale difference of roads in remote sensing images varies greatly, and slender roads are difficult to identify. Moreover, the road in the image is often blocked by the shadows of trees and buildings, which results in discontinuous and incomplete extraction results. To solve the above problems, this paper proposes a multiscale feature encoding and long-range context-aware network (MECA-Net) for road extraction. MECA-Net adopts an encoder–decoder structure and contains two core modules. One is the multiscale feature encoding module, which aggregates multiscale road features to improve the recognition ability of slender roads. The other is the long-range context-aware module, which consists of the channel attention module and the strip pooling module, and is used to obtain sufficient long-range context information from the channel dimension and spatial dimension to alleviate road occlusion. Experimental results on the open DeepGlobe road dataset and Massachusetts road dataset indicate that the proposed MECA-Net outperforms the other eight mainstream networks, which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method. Enhancer of zeste homolog 2 (EZH2), a histone methyltransferase, catalyzes tri-methylation of histone H3 at Lys 27 (H3K27me3) to regulate gene expression through epigenetic machinery. EZH2 functions as a double-facet molecule in regulation of gene expression via repression or activation mechanisms, depending on the different cellular contexts. EZH2 interacts with both histone and non-histone proteins to modulate diverse physiological functions including cancer progression and malignancy. Simple Summary: China accounts for half of the global new cases of esophageal cancer (EC). A disorder of individual trace elements was established as increasing risk for developing esophageal cancer, but the truth was that people are exposed to multiple metals simultaneously in the real world, and research on the relationship between mixtures of accumulative hazards and EC remains scarce. In our current research, we used BKMR, an approach designed to estimate the overall effect of a mixture, to explore the possible role of different trace elements combined in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) risk. In addition, some interesting results were found in our study. We hope it will provide more evidence for environment-related carcinogenesis of ESCC. We investigated the associations between multiple serum trace element levels and risk for esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). A total of 185 ESCC patients and 191 healthy individuals were recruited in our study. The concentration of 13 trace elements (Al, V, Cr, Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, As, Se, Sr, Cd and Pb) in serum was determined with inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). Logistic regression and the Probit extension of Bayesian Kernel Machine Regression (BKMR) models was established to explore the associations and the cumulative and mixed effects of multiple trace elements on ESCC. Three elements (Zn, Se and Sr) displayed a negative trend with risk for ESCC, and a significant overall effect of the mixture of Al, V, Mn, Ni, Zn, Se and Sr on ESCC was found, with the effects of V, Ni and Sr being nonlinear. Bivariate exposure–response interactions among these trace elements indicated a synergistic effect between Zn and Se, and an impactful difference of V combined with Ni, Sr or Zn. Our results indicate that Ni, V, Al, Mn, Zn, Se and Sr are associated with ESCC risk, providing additional evidence of the complex effects of trace elements disorder during the etiology of EC development. In recent years, deep convolutional neural network (CNN)-based image enhancement has shown outstanding performance. However, due to the problems of uneven illumination and low contrast existing in endoscopic images, the implementation of medical endoscopic image enhancement using CNN is still an exploratory and challenging task. An endoscopic image enhancement network (EIEN) based on the Retinex theory is proposed in this paper to solve these problems. The structure consists of three parts: decomposition network, illumination correction network, and reflection component enhancement algorithm. First, the decomposition network model of pre-trained Retinex-Net is retrained on the endoscopic image dataset, and then the images are decomposed into illumination and reflection components by this decomposition network. Second, the illumination components are corrected by the proposed self-attention guided multi-scale pyramid structure. The pyramid structure is used to capture the multi-scale information of the image. The self-attention mechanism is based on the imaging nature of the endoscopic image, and the inverse image of the illumination component is fused with the features of the green and blue channels of the image to be enhanced to generate a weight map that reassigns weights to the spatial dimension of the feature map, to avoid the loss of details in the process of multi-scale feature fusion and image reconstruction by the network. The reflection component enhancement is achieved by sub-channel stretching and weighted fusion, which is used to enhance the vascular information and image contrast. Finally, the enhanced illumination and reflection components are multiplied to obtain the reconstructed image. We compare the results of the proposed method with six other methods on a test set. The experimental results show that EIEN enhances the brightness and contrast of endoscopic images and highlights vascular and tissue information. In a colonoscopy, accurate computer-aided polyp detection and segmentation can help endoscopists to remove abnormal tissue. This reduces the chance of polyps developing into cancer, which is of great importance. In this paper, we propose a neural network (parallel residual atrous pyramid network or PRAPNet) based on a parallel residual atrous pyramid module for the segmentation of intestinal polyp detection. We made full use of the global contextual information of the different regions by the proposed parallel residual atrous pyramid module. The experimental results showed that our proposed global prior module could effectively achieve better segmentation results in the intestinal polyp segmentation task compared with the previously published results. The mean intersection over union and dice coefficient of the model in the Kvasir-SEG dataset were 90.4% and 94.2%, respectively. The experimental results outperformed the scores achieved by the seven classical segmentation network models (U-Net, U-Net++, ResUNet++, praNet, CaraNet, SFFormer-L, TransFuse-L). Patient similarity analytics has emerged as an essential tool to identify cohorts of patients who have similar clinical characteristics to some specific patient of interest. In this study, we propose a patient similarity measure called D3K that incorporates domain knowledge and data-driven insights. Using the electronic health records (EHRs) of 169,434 patients with either diabetes, hypertension or dyslipidaemia (DHL), we construct patient feature vectors containing demographics, vital signs, laboratory test results, and prescribed medications. We discretize the variables of interest into various bins based on domain knowledge and make the patient similarity computation to be aligned with clinical guidelines. Key findings from this study are: (1) D3K outperforms baseline approaches in all seven sub-cohorts; (2) our domain knowledge-based binning strategy outperformed the traditional percentile-based binning in all seven sub-cohorts; (3) there is substantial agreement between D3K and physicians (κ = 0.746), indicating that D3K can be applied to facilitate shared decision making. This is the first study to use patient similarity analytics on a cardiometabolic syndrome-related dataset sourced from medical institutions in Singapore. We consider patient similarity among patient cohorts with the same medical conditions to develop localized models for personalized decision support to improve the outcomes of a target patient. The photonic post-processing of suspended carbon nanotube (CNT) ribbons made by floating catalyst chemical vapor deposition (FC-CVD) results in selective sorting of the carbon nanotubes present. Defective, thermally non-conductive or unconnected CNTs are burned away, in some cases leaving behind a highly crystalline (as indicated by the Raman G:D ratio), highly conductive network. However, the improvement in crystallinity does not always occur but is dependent on sample composition. Here, we report on fundamental features, which are observed for all samples. Pulse irradiation (not only by laser but also white light camera flashes, as well as thermal processes such as Joule heating) lead to (1) the sweating-out of catalyst nanoparticles resulting in molten catalyst beads of up to several hundreds of nanometres in diameter on the textile surface and (2) a significant improvement in CNT bundle alignment. The behavior of the catalyst beads is material dependent. Here, we show the underlying mechanisms of the photonic post-treatment by modelling the macro- and microstructural changes of the CNT network and show that it is mainly the amount of residual catalyst which determines how much energy these materials can withstand before their complete decomposition. The job-shop scheduling is an important approach to manufacturing enterprises to improve response speed, reduce cost, and improve service. Proactive scheduling for job-shop based on abnormal event monitoring of workpieces and remaining useful life prediction of tools is proposed with radio frequency identification (RFID) and wireless accelerometer in this paper. Firstly, the perception environment of machining job is constructed, the mathematical model of job-shop scheduling is built, the framework of proactive scheduling is put forward, and the hybrid rescheduling strategy based on real-time events and predicted events is adopted. Then, the multi-objective, double-encoding, double-evolving, and double-decoding genetic algorithm (MD3GA) is used to reschedule. Finally, an actual prototype platform to machine job is built to verify the proposed scheduling method. It is shown that the proposed method solves the integration problem of dynamic scheduling and proactive scheduling of processing workpieces, reduces the waste of redundant time for the scheduling, and avoids the adverse impact on abnormal disturbances. A (an) cyclonic (anticyclonic) eddy is usually associated with a cold (warm) core caused by the eddy-induced divergence (convergence) motion. However, there are also some cyclonic (anticyclonic) eddies with warm (cold) cores in the North Pacific, named cyclonic warm-core eddies (CWEs) and anticyclonic cold-core eddies (ACEs) in this study, respectively. Their spatio-temporal characteristics and regional dependence are analyzed using the multi-satellite merged remote sensing datasets. The CWEs are mainly concentrated in the northwestern and southeastern North Pacific. However, besides these two areas, the ACEs are also concentrated in the northeastern Pacific. The annual mean number decreases year by year for both CWEs and ACEs, and the decreasing rate of the CWEs is about two times as large as that of the ACEs. Moreover, the CWEs and ACEs also exhibit a significant seasonal variation, which are intense in summer and weak in winter. Based on the statistics of dynamic characteristics in seven subregions, the Kuroshio Extension region could be considered as the most active area for the CWEs and ACEs. Using satellite altimetry sea surface height anomalies (SSHA) and Argo profiles, we investigated eddy’s statistical characteristics, 3-D structures, eddy-induced physical parameter changes, and heat/freshwater transports in the South China Sea (SCS). In total, 31,744 cyclonic eddies (CEs, snapshot) and 29,324 anticyclonic eddies (AEs) were detected in the SCS between 1 January 2005 and 31 December 2016. The composite analysis has uncovered that changes in physical parameters modulated by eddies are mainly confined to the upper 400 m. The maximum change of temperature (T), salinity (S) and potential density (σθ) within the composite CE reaches −1.5 °C at about 70 m, 0.1 psu at about 50 m, and 0.5 kg m−3 at about 60 m, respectively. In contrast, the maximum change of T, S and σθ in the composite AE reaches 1.6 °C (about 110 m), −0.1 psu (about 70 m), and −0.5 kg m−3 (about 90 m), respectively. The maximum swirl velocity within the composite CE and AE reaches 0.3 m s−1. The zonal freshwater transport induced by CEs and AEs is (373.6 ± 9.7)×103 m3 s−1 and (384.2 ± 10.8)×103 m3 s−1, respectively, contributing up to (8.5 ± 0.2)% and (8.7 ± 0.2)% of the annual mean transport through the Luzon Strait. Oil palm crop yield is sensitive to heat and drought. Therefore, El Niño events affect oil palm production, resulting in price fluctuations of crude palm oil due to global supply shortage. This study developed a new Fresh Fruit Bunch Index (FFBI) model based on the monthly oil palm fresh fruit bunch (FFB) yield data, which correlates directly with the Oceanic Niño Index (ONI) to model the impact of past El Niño events in Malaysia in terms of production and economic losses. FFBI is derived from Malaysian monthly FFB yields from January 1986 to July 2021 in the same way ONI is derived from monthly sea surface temperatures (SST). With FFBI model, the Malaysian oil palm yields are better correlated with ONI and have higher predictive ability. The descriptive and inferential statistical assessments show that the newly proposed FFBI time series model (adjusted R-squared = 0.9312 and residual median = 0.0051) has a better monthly oil palm yield predictive ability than the FFB model (adjusted R-squared = 0.8274 and residual median = 0.0077). Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) is associated with various health benefits. In this review, we searched current work about the effects of EGCG and its wound dressings on skin for wound healing. Hydrogels, nanoparticles, micro/nanofiber networks and microneedles are the major types of EGCG-containing wound dressings. The beneficial effects of EGCG and its wound dressings at different stages of skin wound healing (hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation and tissue remodeling) were summarized based on the underlying mechanisms of antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, angiogenesis and antifibrotic properties. The satellite altimeter data, temperature and salinity data, and 1.5-layer reduced gravity model are used to quantitatively evaluate the contributions of the steric effect and the dynamic process to sea level variations in the Tropical Pacific Ocean (TPO) on different time scales. Concurrently, it also analyses the influence of wind forcing over the different regions of the Pacific Ocean on the sea level variations in the TPO. Seasonal sea level variations in the TPO were the most important in the middle and eastern regions of the 5°–15°N latitude zone, explaining 40–60% of the monthly mean sea level variations. Both the steric effect and dynamic process jointly affected the seasonal sea level variations. Among them, the steric effect was dominant, contributing over 70% in most regions of the TPO, while the dynamic process primarily acted near the equator and southwest regions, contributing approximately 55–85%. At the same time, the seasonal dynamic sea level variations were caused by the combined actions of primarily local wind forcing, alongside subtropical north Pacific wind forcing. On the interannual to decadal time scale, the sea level interannual variations were significant in the northwestern, southwestern, and middle eastern regions of the TPO and explained 45–60% of the monthly mean sea level variations. The decadal sea level variations were the most intense in the eastern Philippine Sea, contributing 25–45% to the monthly mean sea level variations. The steric effect and the dynamic process can explain 100% of the interannual to decadal sea level variations. The contribution of the steric effect was generally high, accounting for more than 85% in the regions near the equator. The impact of the dynamic process was mainly concentrated in the northwest, northeast, and southern regions of the TPO, contributing approximately 55–80%. Local wind forcing is the leading role of interannual to decadal sea level variations. The combined actions of El Niño–Southern Oscillation (ENSO) and the Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO) can explain 90% of the interannual to decadal sea level variations in the northwestern and eastern of the TPO. Analyzing vertical distribution characters of air pollutants is conducive to study the mechanisms under polluted atmospheric conditions. Exploring the influence and sources of HONO in air pollution at different altitudes offers some insights into the research of tropospheric oxidation chemistry processes. Ground-based multi-axis differential optical absorption spectroscopy (MAX-DOAS) measurements were conducted in Shanghai, China, from December 2017 to March 2018 to investigate vertical distributions and diurnal variations of trace gases (NO2, HONO, HCHO, SO2, and water vapor) and aerosol extinction coefficient in the boundary layer. Aerosol and NO2 showed decreasing profile exponentially, SO2 and HCHO concentrations were observed relatively high values in the middle layer. SO2 was caused by industrial emissions, while HCHO was from secondary sources. As for HONO, below 0.82 km, the heterogeneous reactions of NO2 impacted on forming HONO, while in the upper layers, vertical diffusion might be the dominant source. The contribution of OH production from HONO photolysis at different altitudes was mainly controlled by the concentration of HONO. MAX-DOAS measurements characterize the vertical structure of air pollutants in Shanghai and provide further understanding for HONO formation, which can help deploy advanced measurement platforms of regional air pollution over eastern China. Persistent heavy haze episodes have repeatedly shrouded North China in recent years. Besides anthropogenic emissions, natural dust also contributes to the aerosols in this region. Through continuous observation by a dual-wavelength Raman lidar, the primary aerosol types and their contributions to air pollution in North China were determined. The following three aerosol types can be classified: natural dust, anthropogenic aerosols, and the mixture of anthropogenic aerosols and dust (polluted dust). The classification results are basically consistent with the classification results from the cloud–aerosol lidar and infrared pathfinder satellite observations (CALIPSO) satellite measurements. The relative bias of the lidar ratio between the Raman lidar and CALIPSO is less than 25% over 90% of the cases, indicating that the CALIPSO lidar ratio selection algorithm is reasonable. The classification results show that approximately 45% of aerosols below 1.8 km are contributed by polluted dust during our one year observations. The contribution of dust increased with height, from 6% at 500 m to 28% at 1,800 m, while the contribution of anthropogenic aerosols decreased from 49% to 25%. In addition, polluted dust is the major aerosol subtype below 1.0 km in spring (over 60%) and autumn (over 70%). Anthropogenic aerosols contribute more than 75% of air pollution in summer. In winter, anthropogenic aerosols prevailed (over 80%) in the lower layer, while polluted dust (around 60%) dominated the upper layer. Our results identified the primarily aerosol types to assess the contributions of anthropogenic and natural sources to air pollution in North China, and highlight that natural dust plays a crucial role in lower-layer air pollution in spring and autumn, while controlling anthropogenic aerosols will significantly improve air quality in winter. Restrictions on human activities remarkably reduced emissions of air pollutants in China during the COVID-19 lockdown periods. However, distinct responses of O3 concentrations were observed across China. In the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei (BTH) and Yangtze River Delta (YRD) regions, O3 concentrations were enhanced by 90.21 and 71.79% from pre-lockdown to lockdown periods in 2020, significantly greater than the equivalent concentrations for the same periods over 2015–2019 (69.99 and 43.62%, p < 0.001). In contrast, a decline was detected (−1.1%) in the Pearl River Delta (PRD) region. To better understand the underlying causes for these inconsistent responses across China, we adopted the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (Lasso) and ordinary linear squares (OLS) methods in this study. Statistical analysis indicated that a sharp decline in nitrogen dioxide (NO2) was the major driver of enhanced O3 in the BTH region as it is a NOx-saturated region. In the YRD region, season-shift induced changes in the temperature/shortwave radiative flux, while lockdown induced declines in NO2, attributable to the rise in O3. In the PRD region, the slight drop in O3 is attributed to the decreased intensity of radiation. Water vapor vertical profiles are important in numerical weather prediction, moisture transport, and vertical flux calculation. This study presents the Multi-Axis Differential Optical Absorption Spectroscopy (MAX-DOAS) retrieval algorithm for water vapor vertical profiles and the retrieved results are validated with corresponding independent datasets under clear sky. The retrieved Vertical Column Densities (VCDs) and surface concentrations are validated with the Aerosol Robotic Network (AERONET) and National Climatic Data Centre (NCDC) datasets, achieving good correlation coefficients (R) of 0.922 and 0.876, respectively. The retrieved vertical profiles agree well with weekly balloon-borne radiosonde measurements. Furthermore, the retrieved water vapor concentrations at different altitudes (100–2000 m) are validated with the corresponding European Centre for Medium-range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) ERA-interim datasets, achieving a correlation coefficient (R) varying from 0.695 to 0.857. The total error budgets for the surface concentrations and VCDs are 31% and 38%, respectively. Finally, the retrieval performance of the MAX-DOAS algorithm under different aerosol loads is evaluated. High aerosol loads obstruct the retrieval of surface concentrations and VCDs, with surface concentrations more liable to severe interference from such aerosol loads. Deep learning-based image super-resolution has shown significantly good performance in improving image quality. In this paper, the RGB-IR cross input and sub-pixel upsampling network is proposed to increase the spatial resolution of an Infrared (IR) image by combining it with a color image of higher spatial resolution obtained with a different imaging modality. Specifically, this is accomplished by fusion of the features map of two RGB-IR inputs in the reconstruction of an infrared image. To improve the accuracy of feature extraction, deconvolution is replaced by sub-pixel convolution to upsample image in the network. Then, the guided filter layer is introduced for image denoising of IR images, and it can preserve the image detail. In addition, the experimental dataset, which is collected by us, contains large numbers of RGB images and corresponding IR images with the same scene. Background: To assess the differential effect of robotic assisted radical cystectomy (RARC) versus open radical cystectomy (ORC) on survival outcomes in matched analyses performed on a large multicentric cohort. Methods: The study included 9757 patients with urothelial bladder cancer (BCa) treated in a consecutive manner at each of 25 institutions. All patients underwent radical cystectomy with bilateral pelvic lymphadenectomy. To adjust for potential selection bias, propensity score matching 2:1 was performed with two ORC patients matched to one RARC patient. The propensity-matched cohort included 1374 patients. Multivariable competing risk analyses accounting for death of other causes, tested association of surgical technique with recurrence and cancer specific mortality (CSM), before and after propensity score matching. Results: Overall, 767 (7.8%) patients underwent RARC and 8990 (92.2%) ORC. The median follow-up before and after propensity matching was 81 and 102 months, respectively. In the overall population, the 3-year recurrence rates and CSM were 37% vs. 26% and 34% vs. 24% for ORC vs. RARC (all p values > 0.1), respectively. On multivariable Cox regression analyses, RARC and ORC had similar recurrence and CSM rates before and after matching (all p values > 0.1). Conclusions: Patients treated with RARC and ORC have similar survival outcomes. This data is helpful in consulting patients until long term survival outcomes of level one evidence is available. In this work, a ground-based remote sensing instrument was used for observation of the trace gases NO2 and CHOCHO in Hefei, China. Excessive development and rapid economic growth over the years have resulted in the compromising of air quality in this city, with haze being the most prominent environmental problem. This is first study covering observation of CHOCHO in Hefei (31.783° N, 117.201° E). The observation period of this study, i.e., July 2018 to December 2018, is divided into three different categories: (1) clear days, (2) haze days, and (3) severe haze days. The quality of the differential optical absorption spectroscopy (DOAS) fit for both CHOCHO and NO2 was low during severe haze days due to a reduced signal to noise ratio. NO2 and CHOCHO showed positive correlations with PM2.5, producing R values of 0.95 and 0.98, respectively. NO2 showed strong negative correlations with visibility and air temperature, obtaining R values of 0.97 and 0.98, respectively. CHOCHO also exhibited strong negative correlations with temperature and visibility, displaying R values of 0.83 and 0.91, respectively. The average concentration of NO2, CHOCHO, and PM2.5 during haze days was larger compared to that of clear days. Diurnal variation of both CHOCHO and NO2 showed a significant decreasing trend in the afternoons during clear days due to photolysis, while during haze days these two gases started to accumulate as their residence time increases in the absence of photolysis. Glyoxal (CHOCHO) and formaldehyde (HCHO) trace gases were successfully retrieved from a multi-axis differential optical absorption spectroscopy (MAX-DOAS) system in Beijing (39.95°N, 116.32°E) and Baoding (39.15°N, 115.40°E), China. The measurements of these trace gases span the period from May 2017 to April 2018. Higher levels of trace gases were observed in Beijing most likely due to increased transport and industrial activities compared to Baoding. Different time scales were analyzed from seasonal to daily levels. Seasonal variation categorized by wintertime maximum and summertime minimum was observed for CHOCHO, while for HCHO maximum values were recorded during summer at both observation points. Variations in the diurnal cycle of trace gases were examined. The results are consistent with strong links to photo-oxidations of VOCs for HCHO production, whereas the CHOCHO diurnal variation can be related to anthropogenic effects in the evening. Weekends didn't have any significant effect on both HCHO and CHOCHO. We investigated the temperature dependency of HCHO and CHOCHO. HCHO shows positive correlation with air temperature, which strengthened the argument that HCHO production is linked to photo-oxidation of VOCs. CHOCHO is anti-correlated with air temperature. This suggests that photolysis is a major sink for CHOCHO in Beijing and Baoding. We also investigated the relationship between CHOCHO and HCHO VCDs with enhanced vegetation index (EVI) data obtained from MODIS, which represents a direct relation with biogenic emissions. The positive correlations were observed among monthly mean HCHO VCDs and monthly mean EVI at both monitoring stations. The strong correlation of HCHO with EVI found, suggests that oxidation of isoprene and HCHO production is strongly related, while negative correlation was observed among CHOCHO VCDs and EVI. Leea indica (Vitaceae) is a Southeast Asian medicinal plant. In this study, an ethyl acetate fraction of L. indica leaves was studied for its phytoconstituents using high-performance liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-mass spectrometry (HPLC-ESI-microTOF-Q-MS/MS) analysis. A total of 31 compounds of different classes, including benzoic acid derivatives, phenolics, flavonoids, catechins, dihydrochalcones, coumarins, megastigmanes, and oxylipins were identified using LC-MS/MS. Among them, six compounds including gallic acid, methyl gallate, (−)-epigallocatechin-3-O-gallate, myricetin-3-O-rhamnoside, quercetin-3-O-rhamnoside, and 4′,6′-dihydroxy-4-methoxydihydrochalcone 2′-O-β-d-glucopyranoside were isolated and identified by NMR analysis. The LC-MS/MS analysis led to the tentative identification of three novel dihydrochalcones namely 4′,6′-dihydroxy-4-methoxydihydrochalcone 2′-O-rutinoside, 4′,6′-dihydroxy-4-methoxydihydrochalcone 2′-O-glucosylpentoside and 4′,6′-dihydroxy-4-methoxydihydrochalcone 2′-O-(3″-O-galloyl)-β-d-glucopyranoside. The structural identification of novel dihydrochalcones was based on the basic skeleton of the isolated dihydrochalcone, 4′,6′-dihydroxy-4-methoxydihydrochalcone 2′-O-β-d-glucopyranoside and characteristic LC-MS/MS fragmentation patterns. This is the first comprehensive analysis for the identification of compounds from L. indica using LC-MS. The Beibu Gulf is an important offshore region in the South China Sea for the fishing industry and other human activities. In 2017, typhoons Doksuri and Khanun passed the Beibu Gulf in two paths, at maximum wind speeds of up to 50 m/s. Typhoon Doksuri passed the Beibu Gulf through the open waters of the South China Sea and Typhoon Khanun moved towards the Beibu Gulf through the narrow Qiongzhou Strait. The aim of this study is to analyze the typhoon-induced wave distribution in the Beibu Gulf. WAVEWATCH-III (WW3) is a third-generation numeric wave model developed by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), which has been widely used for sea wave research. The latest version of the WW3 (5.16) model provides three packages of nonlinear term for four wave components (quadruplets) wave–wave interactions, including Discrete Interaction Approximation (DIA), Full Boltzmann Integral (WRT), and Generalized Multiple DIA (GMD) with two kinds of coefficients, herein called GMD1 and GMD2. These four packages have been conveniently implemented for simulating wave fields in two typhoons after taking winds from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) at 0.125° grids as the forcing fields. It was found that the GMD2 package was the recommended option of the nonlinear term for quadruplets wave–wave interactions due to the minimum error when comparing a number of simulated results from the WW3 model with significant wave height (SWH) from ECMWF and altimeter Jason-2. Then the wave distribution simulated by the WW3 model employing the GMD2 package was analyzed. In the case of Typhoon Doksuri, wind-sea dominated in the early and middle stages while swell dominated at the later stage. However, during Typhoon Khanun, wind-sea dominated throughout and swell distributed outside the bay around the east of Hainan Island, because the typhoon-induced swell at mesoscale was difficult to propagate into the Beibu Gulf through the narrow Qiongzhou Strait.
